Take a nap this afternoon so you can stay up for President Obama’s very last rally tonight. You can’t miss that. You can sleep in tomorrow, because the action will really be in the afternoon. The media will likely be unbearable during the day.

Good Morning Chips and my TOD Family. Another beautiful day out on the westcoast. Lovely. Making calls today. Good results so far. Taking a break now because of faintness with my heart, BUT Do Not Worry, just pray for me. I will not negelect my health, but I have to finish this for our POTUS.

Now, I saw Miss Pat here a few nights ago, and I want to shout out. Hope all is well, Miss Pat. Love you bunch.

If anyone is nervous, meditate, pray out loud, and make some calls. The calls will help you connect with someone and also will help POB. We are almost there. Okay. Be of good thoughts, keep good thoughts into your space, and also put some good energies going out to POTUS, VPOTUS, FLOTUS and SLOTUS. Please.

VP Joey & Dr. Jill’s excellent adventures before Lakewood event yesterday:

“Careening through Ohio on a whirlwind junket for the last Sunday before Election Day, Vice President Joe Biden made a surprise morning stop at My Friends Restaurant in Cleveland. Joined by Dr. Jill Biden, the Veep caused yells of excitement as he entered the Detroit Street eatery shortly after 11:00 AM. Greeting staff and patrons, and introducing himself as “Jill’s husband,” Biden bought a cheesecake and a coconut custard pie–leaving a tip of about 50%–and then offered a ride in his official limo to Amira and Amir Nasrallah, 17-year-old twins who work at the restaurant. (Above: The Veep with Amira, who is a hostess)

The visit to the eatery came ahead of a rally at Lakewood High School in nearby Lakewood, where the twins attend school. “You’re going to my high school,” Amira told the Vice President, but she added that she wasn’t going because she had to work.

After asking Amira the distance from the restaurant to the high school, Biden said “Now, if you ride with us, will you be able to get back?”

Why don’t you ride in my car with me, okay?” Biden said.

    “Oh my God!” Amira shrieked.

“You see this lovely young woman? We’re gonna let her ride with me, in my limo, to the high school,” Biden told his aides.

And indeed, the teen and her brother, a bus boy, hopped into the limo with the Vice President and Dr. Biden when they left to attend the rally.”

[The whole story made me smile!!)

Sally Kohn got her endorsement of PBO published on the Faux News website! She’s asking for help in making it go viral. Wouldn’t that rub salt into Faux News nose? If you can link, tweet or otherwise give her a hand, here’s the link:

Excerpt: “And when disaster strikes, whether it’s the storms of nature or poverty or a terrorist attack, President Obama will ensure our government is there not to get in the way but to help. Through the most trying of times, from when the walls of Wall Street came crashing down to when our forces crashed through the walls of Abbottabad, President Obama has been a strong leader for a strong nation — upholding the very best of our values and offering the best promise for our future. I hope you will join me in support President Barack Obama on November 6th.”

Here’s one last point we want to make about our national poll: The survey found that 9% of the likely voters are up for grabs (meaning they’re undecided or just leaning to a candidate), and these folks have more positive feelings toward Obama than Romney. Obama’s job approval with them is 48% approve, 41% disapprove. What’s more, Obama’s fav/unfav with them is 46%/29%, vs. Romney’s upside down 22%-49%. Bottom line: Our pollsters see more of an opportunity for Obama among these voters and more of an uphill climb for Romney.

“Undecideds and indies breaking for PBO” — well, I find this terrific news even from the Fox News wannabe.

Who, in a weird twist today, said he loves to watch the “Four More Years” video. He must have heard that most of us would rather get election results via carrier pigeon than watch him anchor election night coverage.

A couple of tweets exhibited that sentiment.

Yup – he implies that most white people are just racists and voting by skin color. He’s in for a nasty surprise on Tuesday night. One would think they learned after 2008. There is no monolithic block – everyone is concerned about their futures, their families, their health. And nobody in their right mind would vote for a man who hasn’t articulated a cogent strategy, who keeps his money overseas, who still hasn’t mentioned the troops in his speeches and just uses the military as props – and who appears unstable. Every thinking person is voting for President Obama.

99-year-old Florida woman casts first-ever ballot for Obama
    [video accompanies article]

After living through women’s suffrage, Jim Crow and dozens of presidencies, a 99-year-old Florida woman cast her first-ever ballot last week, and she voted for President Barack Obama.

“I said I’m going to vote if the Lord spares my life this time,” Rosie Lewis told NBC affiliate WBBH-TV in Fort Meyers. “I made up my mind to vote.”

Lewis said that she’s been inspired by how the president has motivated her family to become active in the political process. “I love Obama,” she said.

A family friend said she turned in Lewis’s mail ballot last week.

The video below is from NBC affiliate WBBH-TV in Fort Myers, Florida.

New York’s Attorney General has launched an investigation into hundreds of complaints of prices being increased in the aftermath of storm Sandy.

Eric Schneiderman said the largest number of complaints concerned increased fuel prices, but other emergency supplies were also affected.

“Price gouging” of essential consumer goods is forbidden under New York law.

Mr Schneiderman said that consumers had contacted him to report “possible gouging for emergency supplies like generators, hotels raising rates due to ‘high demand’, as well as increased prices for food and water”.

In a statement, the attorney general said that under New York state law, retailers were not allowed to charge “unconscionably excessive prices” for goods required for personal, family or household purposes when there was an abnormal disruption of the market.

“President will be in Columbus, Ohio, joined by rap star Jay-Z and Bruce Springsteen. His rally will take place at the Nationwide Arena at 1701 Morse Road. It happens to be right across the street from 1700 Morse Road, a vacant department store that is now doing double duty as a polling place that is open for early voting. The campaign has in the past hired busses to transport early voters to polling locations, but this time, they can walk, dance or skip across the street to do their civic duty.”

This New Poll Has Devastated Mitt Romney’s Campaign

Republican strategists say that the Romney campaign was dejected by the poll, a well-respected public opinion survey from Iowa’s largest daily newspaper.

The poll found Obama leading Romney 47% to 42%, an advantage that appears to be driven in part by an improved economic outlook among Iowa voters and persistent negative perceptions of Romney (Obama beats Romney by 10 points on the question of trustworthiness, by 10 points on honesty, and by 15 points on the question of which candidate is more caring.)

    Read more: http://www.businessinsider.com/romney-obama-iowa-des-moines-register-poll-2012-11#ixzz2BNMJlUrj

    Forty-seven percent. Sweet.

It is not my job to take of these people who will not take responsibility for their craven, cynical, gutter campaign.

PPP did their final poll and gave this prediction:

When you consider the fact that “after proportioning the states that will definitively vote for each candidate, Mr. Obama has 237 electoral votes and Romney has 191 ( http://bitly.com/SO2UDf ) Romney/Ryan achieved NOTHING. Their dog whistles and exploitation of the tragedy in Benghazi and their serial lies, did not gain them a single electoral vote over what they were expected to win.

    Absolutely, positively, pathetic.

Citizen’s United and post-truth politics lost. We the people won.

    • November 5, 2012 at 2:28 pm

So according to them, the President doesn’t need Florida at all. Hmm. By that reckoning, he doesn’t even need Ohio to win. So they can hang those elections up for as long as they like, it still won’t change the result.

    Smartypants http://immasmartypants.blogspot.com/2012/11/our-answer-to-obstructionist.html

Our answer to obstructionist Republicans…coming tomorrow:

Remember when Republican Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said, “The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president?”

Well, tomorrow we get to make McConnell a failure at the single most important thing he was trying to accomplish.

Is that what you call revenge voting? If so…I’m all for it!

    Iran Red Crescent Society:

TEHRAN — Iranian rescuers and aid workers are on standby to fly to New York City to provide assistance to those affected by Hurricane Sandy, the head of Iran’s Red Crescent Organization said on Wednesday.

“We are ready to help the flood-stricken people of America,” Mahmud Mozaffar, who leads the organization, told the semiofficial Fars News Agency.

His men stand ready to board planes and fly to the United States to help out, assuming the American government accepts Iran’s offer, he said.

Well hiddeee hoooo OOOOOssss!!!!! It’s a great getting up day on TOD boulevard again wouldn’t you say?? This has been a most enlightening journey. It actually started in ’07 when Senator Obama declared his intention to run for the Presidency. I’d known of him before then when he ran here in Illinois for Congress and lost, then for State Senator. I have always pulled for him even for his initial toe dip into politics. So now, here he is making his last rounds of campaigns speeches. I feel like I know him personally. Illinois has produced two of the best Presidents to serve this nation.

My countdown political take for today is the second to the last one. It’s merely to say that it’s time for the big payoff and I can’t wait. It feels like waiting for Xmas as a child. You knew you were good, so you knew Santa was going to bring something. The anticipation was in waiting to see just what and just how much you’d have waiting under the tree. So ho, ho, ho, let’s go!!!!

ok, now there is reporting that Romney will be campaigning in Cleveland and Pittsburgh tomorrow??? WTF?

Ok, now I really believer that Romney camp is desperate. They won’t even let their guy rest??? Methinks he will lose Penn and Ohio. Plus isn’t Cleveland a Dem stronghold? I’m guessing he’s gonna try to keep Obama voters totals low? To finish our win in Ohio we will run up the numbers in Dems strongholds like Cleveland I believe.

I don’t trust Romney camp not to try hands on voter suppression.

His internal polling in OH must really suck.

isn’t Cleveland where Romney’s son has invested in the voting machines???

He’s going for the PUMA vote — get a few more angry, white, uneducated males to vote against their interests.

We do need good turnout from Philly and other Dem strongholds, though. Sometimes they under-perform but they CANNOT do that this time. We need every single solitary vote. We have to show that we CAN fight, we won’t be intimidated and we can overcome their dirty, secret money with real, live voters.

The final sign that a campaign is losing. Recruiting Sarah Palin for robo-calls. Update!

…. After keeping Sarah Palin as far away from their campaign as possible, and even going so far as to bar her from the national convention (Even though she was last year’s VP!), now the Romney campaign has decided that they have nothing to lose by bringing in the most polarizing political figure in the country.

If we EVER needed a further indication of just how poorly the Romney campaign feels they are doing, THIS is it.

P.S. Uh..did anybody else notice that even at this late date Palin STILL cannot bring herself to actually ask people to vote for Romney? Yeah this bitch just can’t let ANYTHING go!

Update: Apparently last night the Lunatic from Lake Lucille finally DID ask people to vote for Romney in a ghostwritten, rambling, no doubt Red Bull fueled. missive on her Facebook page. …

Ya gotta give Nate Silver credit: he has a pretty strong spine of steel when he needs one. Calling out the MSM for the fools that they are when there was concerted effort to silence him. Good for Nate.

[Mitt has sweatflop and Cockroach Bros. want a full refund from KKKarl]:

“Politico reports some of the large anti-Obama secret money groups – including the Koch-backed Americans for Prosperity – have started paying as much as $15 per hour to get people to knock on doors and make phone calls, which could help Mitt Romney even the ground game playing field with President Obama.

Also interesting: The Koch brothers network has been paying groups to use home-schooled high school kids for anti-Obama door-knocking, which the guys in charge of the program describe as “terrific government education.”
