Nice
Almost first. 😦
Just wanted to post this: Seal Team 6 is on Youtube. I don’t know for how long, but the full documtary is there now.
This is a very powerfully told story …
Glad you will get to see it, Bob! It really is a phenomenal film. It took me 3 hours to watch it because I kept rewinding some scenes over and over. 😆
Thank you PJ! It is just amazing …
Rewinding some scenes? You are strong, PJ. 😆 I had heart palpitations almost all the way through, pausing the video a couple of times to calm myself, but at least I made it to the end. It was powerful.
Yes, it was gripping, but there were so many great scenes featuring the Prez — particularly the night he made the decision — that I kept replaying to get each and every little nuance. I’m a tiny details kinda girl, what can I say? 😀
‘so many great scenes featuring the Prez ….that I kept replaying to get each and every little nuance. ‘
Aaah! Now I get it. 😀 😀
Chicken that I am, I hardly noticed the Prez scenes as I was dying to get to the end. I kept eyeing the time line to see how much longer I would have to suffer. What can I say in my defense? I had a similar reaction in Red Tails, closed eyes and covered ears for much of it, but couldn’t leave early because *I* had planned the movie night, inviting a handful of friends. 🙄
Your Navy at work!
THIS is why we PAY TAXES!! Thank you Armed Forces!
Amen df. Amen.
“People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men and women stand ready to do violence on their behalf.”
Yes…thank you, yardarm. I sleep well knowing that people like you stand watch over me.
It was my honor to serve.
Aaand watching. 🙂 Thanks. 🙂
Rats, it is gone now.
Hi, Chips, and all – The town of my birth! Wish I were there to cheer and knock on doors… The President’s dedication and energy are just awesome… As are his compassion, intelligence, and all around good-guy-ness… Gato
With you on all that, Gato!
First Lady in Charlotte now live http://www.wral.com/news/video/11734838/#/vid11734838
President Obama will stay in Illinois on Election Day, and, aside from playing basketball, will sit for more than a dozen radio and television interviews.
Spokeswoman Jen Psaki said he will potentially reach hundreds of thousands of voters that way.
“There’s no plans to leave the state of Illinois at this point. I don’t think that will change,” Psaki told reporters aboard Air Force One on Monday. “We made the call that’s the way to reach people on Election Day.”
Psaki said Team Obama finds it “no surprise” that GOP challenger Mitt Romney is considering a trip to Ohio on Election Day.
“Without that state, it’s a rocky road for them to victory, an insurmountable road, in our view,” she said, noting that she believes Ohio will go for Obama. “We’re confident of victory there tomorrow.”
ABL renders:
“….As for Ryan’s claim that, essentially, another Obama term will destroy Western civilization as we know it? Render unto me a fucking break already.
UPDATE: Some folks pointed out on Twitter that it’s a dog-whistle. Yes, I think it’s a dog-whistle, too — but what isn’t these days? I can’t even be bothered to care today. I’m more concerned about drilling the following into everybody’s noggin: CONTRACEPTIVE ACCESS FOR WOMEN HAS FUCK-ALL TO DO WITH RELIGIOUS LIBERTY.”
http://angryblackladychronicles.com/2012/11/05/paul-ryan-panics-claims-obama-threatens-judeo-christian-values/
Michelle rocks! I love the way the crowd is responding to her. You go, FLOTUS!
she’s got me crying, and i know this is how it’s gonna be all day!
Top 10. How’s everyone today? One more day…
Vice President Joe Biden didn’t say it would be a blowout win, as he has in recent interviews, but he said Team Obama’s firewall in the midwest is holding up.
“I’m feeling good. I really am. But you know, as that old expression goes, it’s all over but the shouting,” he told reporters at during a stop at Mimis Cafe in Sterling, Va., on Monday. “It feels good though. It feels good. You’ve been with me long enough to know that I’m always optimistic. But I really do feel good.”
According to a pool report, Biden was asked if he thought it would be a landslide as he predicted in a recent MSNBC interview.
“I think we’re going to win and I think we’re going to win,” he began, before pausing and saying, “You know that old joke, I’ll take one vote majority. But I think we have a clear shot of doing well in the so-called firewall.
“I think we’ll win Ohio. I think we’ll win Wisconsin. I think we’ll win Iowa. I think we’ll win Nevada. I think we’ll win New Hampshire,” he said, according to the pool report. “I think Florida will be close but I think we have a real shot at winning. And this state, we’ve got a clear shot at winning.
“So you know – my grandfather would say, by the grace of God and the good will of the neighbors.”
WoooHoo, Cant wait to vote for PBO 2moro but also I am literally gleeful that I am voting for Elizabeth Warren, and get rid of scott brown. Oh, well, he can always go back to driving his crappy truck.
bet you he ditches the truck–just a campaign prop.
Maybe he can do an AARP centerfold spread.
Just came from Clinton’s rally in downtown Pittsburgh. He was great and lots of excited supporters. Had a blast! It had been pretty quiet lately in these parts since no one was really paying attention to PA until Mittens last ditch effort here.
Ads are picking up on the TV but wayy too late to make any type of difference. PA is staying BLUE!!
Melissa,
Wish I could have gotten there to see 42 today…Was there a nice crowd there for him?
I heard Mittens was coming to the ‘burg tomorrow. Hahahaha!
Can’t wait to vote for my President in less than 24 hours!
Obama/Biden TOMORROW!
Yeah, and who was the guy the other day (some commentator, I think) in PA who basically said ok if Mittens wants to give it one last try in PA, but after that he is to go away and NEVER, EVER come back to PA! I like that guy!
Rush said that he will take revenge on the President.
Did he just threaten the President?
Why are you listening to Rush?
EXACTLY!!!
I am not it’s on politico news!
Ah, that makes more sense. I didn’t like the idea of you torturing yourself.
Jovie…..that is One fool that I know I will Never subject to my ear-drums. Rightwing hate talk? Not for me.
I salute you for doing it…..hopefully after this election, then you don’t have to.
No, it’s on politico.
Please keep that blowhard commentary off of TOD. We don’t need to know what that sick idiot is saying at any time and for sure not now.
1 more day of me, don’t worry!
hey, jovie, you’ve been an important voice here, with information and ideas and links and so much hope and passion! no way we want to lose each other after tomorrow!
as for the issue in question, i salute you for your courage in checking in with the red voices, because we need a dose of that reality from time to time. not that we’re buying their bull, but we can’t counter them if we don’t know what they’re saying.
the president will continue to need our support, all through his second term. the rwnjs are not going away just yet! pbo is going through all this work and sweat to win re-election SO THAT HE CAN FINISH THE WORK HE STARTED! he needs us for that, and i am hoping we’ll still be meeting here.
pbo has been saying this all along: our diversity is our strength. that goes for t.o.d as well as u.s.a. !!!
Okay, Jovie…I am sorry…..I should know by now…..NOT to assume.

I just finish listening to FLOTUS speak. Love her.
How has Todd Akin been able to give a different name for his arrests?
“… Akin went by a different name, which made public-records searches tricky — and now we know the total number is actually quite a bit larger.
Missouri Republican Senate candidate Rep. Todd Akin was arrested at least eight times in the 1980s at anti-abortion protests, according to newly obtained records.
That is four arrests in addition to four the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported last month based on a review of its contemporaneous coverage of protests. The four additional arrests each appear to have occurred outside a women’s health clinic in Ballwin, Missouri in St. Louis County between 1985 and 1987.
“Right Wing Watch,” a project of People For the American Way, a nonprofit group critical of Akin’s ties to what it calls radical elements of the pro-life movement, obtained incident reports on the arrests Friday from the St. Louis Country Police Department under Missouri’s sunshine law, and provided them to National Journal.
…. As for the larger context, if Akin is elected tomorrow, he’ll have one of the more extensive criminal records of any U.S. senator in history.”
http://maddowblog.msnbc.com/_news/2012/11/05/14947871-todd-akins-growing-criminal-record
Isn’t a criminal check a routine expectation for anyone vying for a senate seat? If I’m not mistaken one is expected for teachers.
Bruuuuce is in the House……It is going to be fabulous.
I better have Bashir DVR. I have no plans of missing all that I can humanely absorb today.
Has Jay Z begun performing?
I hope not. I was gone for 15 mins or so. Trying to make lunch for mt tummy.
Just started:
http://edition.cnn.com/video/flashLive/live.html?stream=4
Our First Lady is Fired all the way up!!! My sister is in that crowd somewhere. I am a little jealous lol.
The “real” Veterans Day was today, for that veteran. I believe that photo is representative of what he was fighting for, when he served. Thank you, President Obama, for caring about our current-day military and never forgetting our veterans.
{{sniffles}}
Streaming has started on YouTube
MSNBC has been streaming the OH rally since 2:00PM central.
link?
Go to MSNBC.com. I am sorry. It was linked from the last thread.
thanks I got it
Do you have the utube link
It’s at the top of the post Cookemom
Silly me, I started to panic. I had all of the links up, but then I read JayZ had started, but it hadn’t loaded for me. One link even had Mitt speaking. I thought I was in other world. I thought I’d be left bumbling around in cyberspace looking for a relevant rally.
Ha, no worries Cookemom! All these links are confusing!
Jay-Z is next.
I am not really familiar with his music. I know some of his wife’s. But I am willing to listen…..I am soaking everything In today.
Jay Z is musical GENIUS. He spits rap lyrics like a wunderkind. It’s amazing to watch.
I know who he is. I am not into rap. Other than for a handful of songs by Salt and Pepper, LL Kool and RUN DMC’s remix with Areosmith.
I’m not into rap, but hay if you support our man Obama, I will support you. Go Jay-Z.
And I like Beyonce too.
I’m FIRED UP – dammit!
Here is Jay Z!!!!!!
Thats a lot of People!
Jay Z!!!!!!! Jigga is tearing the house DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow that would be great. 7 pts and maybe Ryan loses his congressional seat. I had to laugh at his radio ads in Wisconsin – having to inform Wisconsin voters it was OK to vote for him twice as VP and congressman.
Can’t see the event live, but I hope Jay-Z does “Dirt Off Your Shoulders” — that would be so appropriate for my President, lol!
Ok- hearing the fired up video and my first tear has fallen. My stomach aches! This is it. Only two rallies left! Supporting Obama has been the ride of a lifetime!!!
Jay Z: “I Got 99 Problems But Mitt Ain’t One” Freaking awesome!
love it!
Oh my! 😆
I seem to remember that in 2008, PBO outperformed the polls in several states, even though the final popular vote was fairly close to what was originally predicted. I think the same thing happens tomorrow. Total margin of victory will be 5-6% and EV will be 332.
Now you are talking, Japa21. I am still clinging to 347-348EVs and 52% of popular vote. I really think Obama will win NC and Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional district.
LOL. 99 problems but that bitch Mitt ain’t one. He gon get tackled by David Plouffe in a min.lol
Rumor out there that ABC’s final tracking poll will have Obama up 50-47!
can’t wait for the confirmation on that!
And that is likely tracking poll numbers.
I am in Heaven…..dancing cheek to cheek.
I love that *47* — isn’t karma a bish? (Although I hope he doesn’t even get that much tomorrow.}
I was just thinking *47%* … hmmm … 🙂
Whoa…..that is huge news.
I wish Beyonce would make a surprise guest appearance!
OMG He’s performing ENCORE! Jigga is the BEST!
WTF. I think i just lost my hearing?
Ah nope, just CNN acting duchobaggery.
Thinking of Mitt’s desperation rallies tomorrow…..didn’t McCain hold one or two “rallies” on election day four years ago? I think so, but I’m sure someone on this blog remembers exactly and also where they were.
Actually, I do not remember any Presidential candidate holding any rallies ever on election day. There have always been very strict election day rules, but they may only have been state rules with each state having their own rules. I wondered if Mitt were breaking any laws by having those rallies on election day?
What a crowd in Ohio. WoW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks to the Boss and Jay-Z.
What’s the estimate for crowd size? What was crowd size in Madison?
Obama appeared at his first rally on a cold morning in Madison, Wis., down the street from the state capitol building, where a crowd of 18,000 had gathered at 6:30 a.m. — four hours before the president arrived. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/election-2012/wp/2012/11/05/springsteen-that-first-debate-really-freaked-me-out/
It was 28 degrees just a couple of hours before PBO stepped out on the stage.
Wow, look at that sea of lovely people.
What does” 55% + Enthusiasm” mean?
Jay Z’s performance at Pres. Obama’s rally.
Question: How long has this blog been around? I came to it kind of late, but was wondering if it was around during the 2008 election? Or will this be our first time celebrating together? I will definitely be refreshing my browser all day tomorrow to keep my nerves calm! 🙂
Welcome, SAB! This blog rocks! Ms.Chipsticks is our very admirable admiral!!!
Oh, I’ve been here for awhile. At least since 2010. I just don’;t post very often. But I was just realizing that this is the first time we will all celebrate President Obama getting elected together!
Here, yes (thank God for Chips)! Some of us have been together on the OFA blog since ’07, and also on TOAITR with BWD!
I do believe TODders were here in ’08. I wasn’t an active participant, but it seems I knew about this site back then or shortly thereafter. Welcome and for me when Axe bet his 40 year old mustache on a PBO win, I knew we got this. I mean, who does that? He had to have had some internals that he was busting at the seams to share and this was the way to let us in on it.
I think this site started at some point after PBO was inaugurated. Looking at the archives I see that the earliest posts were in Oct 2009. Prior to TOD I spent time on BWD’s TOAITR and came to TOD as a regular when she stopped posting.
My story, exactly, hopefruit.
Mine, too.
Hi BWD! It’s good to see your posts here.
Mine too
Ditto
Romney is unraveling. 😆
He could always visit his money in the Cayman Islands. Or (which is very unlikely) … he could roll up his sleeves and help clean up some debris in New Jersey, or on Staten Island … oh, sorry, forgot … his Grand Old Party does not like community volunteers.
And we know PBO will not be just “sitting around.” He will probably be on the phone with Christie, Bloomberg, Cuomo, etc., Janet Napolitano (sp?), Fugate, et al. discussing how to help those affected by Sandy in addition to any world matters that need his attention. Because he IS the President of the United States!
and he’s addicted to the adulation.
and you know i mean robmey, here!
It’s tradition. They can’t win without Ohio and they can’t lose without pretending they have a chance in PA.
I have never anticipated seeing two lowlifes lose as much as I am looking forward to Romney/Ryan losing tomorrow.
I want them to lose early and unequivocally.
I recommend that everyone hold on to something nailed down wherever they are, because the amount of spinning that is going to come from Chuck Todd, Howard Fineman, The GOP and the Romney/Ryan camp is going to wobble the earth’s axis as they lose state, after state, after state.
Truth!
Chris Christie’s dreams just came true. 😀
Not fair Christie. I wanna talk to the Boss. (Really, I am glad for you … just wish you’d vote for the man who has been and will be there for you and your state)!
No one goes into that voting booth with him, who knows how he’ll vote. It sure makes you wonder. Actually, a Mitt failure benefits Christie’s
oops! wanted to end by saying a Mitt lost benefits any future Christie political ambition.
UT even though I don’t post here, I still try to catch the videos and YOUR POSTS. I respect you tremendously, and want to thank you for being such a steady and intelligent force during the campaign. Good luck to you. Namaste.
Hey Gc! It’s so wonderful to hear from you! I sincerely hope that you’re doing fine and still keeping the faith. Thank you so much for the kind words. They mean a lot. 😀
I am fine UT. Sister blogs such as TPV and POU suit me better as I am forever posting and running. I have always felt to do TOD right I would want to be more involved in terms of active participation, the ups and downs, highs and lows. I am such a bottom line sort 🙂 But the posters on the other blogs repost your comments, you are that respected. Thought you’d like to know. I am tense about tomorrow, although it looks good, damned good. There has never been another president in my lifetime who deserves reelction more than BHO.
Wow. I had no clue about that. Thank you so much for the heads up. 😀 I’m strangely calm yet excited about tomorrow. I’m going to be hooked until the last ballot has been counted. I echo your sentiments about Pres. Obama. He has more than earned a second term.
Axe is having a chuckle!
Axe’s tweet was HYSTERICAL.
As Nate tweeted, if those are in fact Romney internals, assume a 6 point R lean in them. Then he’s fucked.
I like it – big time.
David Axelrod is the man!
I love when Axe talks trash — he does it soooo well.
And Bruce will drive him to his polling place!
Oh, that’s funny!!
Spread the word.
RT’d!
Done!
Podium Slap , POTUS you rock !!!!!!!
They look so demoralized, all 152 of them.
r u blind, 57?! Obviously there are only 10 people there and 3/5 of them are PBO’s SS detail. 🙄
Foggy glasses. I think Mitt distributes foggy glasses at all his rallies……
What a spectacular introduction.
What’s the crowd size there?
TEARS! I am going to have HHHHHHHHHUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEE withdrawal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not seeing this fine man campaign. May God bless and keep him and his family!
Now POTUS next stop is where? I know FLOTUS is in Florida, then Iowa. I am looking forward to seeing her introduce him tonight in Iowa. This is has been one great stop in Ohio, now come on Ohio come through for the President Obama.
POTUS next and final stop is Des Moines IA (with FLOTUS and Bruce). By the way the crowd size at this rally was ~ 21K.
This is really cool …
That’s great Bob!!!
Thanks Mr. McCartney and friends for your support. I’ll never forget when he was at the WH and sung his song “Michelle” to our Michelle.
Loved that!! Thanks Paul.
Still looking good, I must add.
Election Day is tomorrow! Time to get President Obama’s back. Tell your friends: text POLLS to 62262 to confirm your polling location & get ready to vote.
Thanks Jovie. I’ve tweeted your advice.
Yea for Gov. Cuomo!
WOW!!!! please RT!
I will be watching PBO’s rally in Des Moines tonight. I hope that you do too. 🙂
I sure plan to watch it .
Love that vid Chips!!!
It makes me all teary Tally, I’m a snivelling wreck today 😦
reminder: pick up extra kleenex, along with cheesy puffs and whatever we’re drinking!
Will do Susanne! 🙂
I know me toooooo!!!! Brought me back to being in the UK this time in 2008. SO AWESOME!! 😀 😀 😀
Well, it is done. I worked to GOTV. Registered new voters in FL. Corrected registrations with name and address change. I have driven people to the polls to vote early and today…I waited in line for 2 hours to get my husbands absentee ballot. You remember him, he is a Republican and wasn’t going to vote this time. He filled his out with PBO at the top. He dropped it off as he left one job and headed to his other one. Today was spent running around Palm Beach getting my things together for my Precinct tomorrow. I am a clerk of a huge Precinct. There are about 3000 listed on my registers. I have 12 people I am in charge of at the polls tomorrow. I picked up 2 dozen bagels and plenty of Smear. I am spending the evening getting ready for a very early start tomorrow.
Just a side note. I was driving around getting all my things together. I drove down Boynton Beach Blvd. and saw quite a few Romney signs in the median. What bothers me as a proud President Obama supporter is that some tagged all the signs with 47%. Then driving down Atlantic Blvd. I saw a huge Billboard owned by CBS. This billboard was 100 feet away from a Synagog. It was a picture of a Nuclear weapon aimed at Israel with President Obamas name on it. I have never been so shocked in all my life.
Chips, Thank you for all you do. I will check back later to watch the final rally. I will be out the door tomorrow at 5:00am. I am excited and filled with so much hope.
Peace and Love to all,
Sue
Thank God for people like you. God bless you.
We’re gonna kick their asses tomorrow!
second that!!!! proudmember–true american hero!!
Gob bless you Proud. You are the true heroes of this movement!
Have to give a big salute to all of you hardworking Obama supporters. Hope you have a great day tomorrow.
Other than a few seats in 3rd deck, the 21,000 seat Columbus arena was packed. Good early vote numbers in this article also.
http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/local/2012/11/05/Obama-makes-last-stop-in-Ohio.html
What is the writer talking about? I don’t see empty seats except for behind the stage. They were probably told not to sit behind the stage. Sound like they want to downplay the rally.
Just got this on Twitter:
That’s a lovely video. Mrs. Obama is a gorgeous and brilliant woman. Would love to see her in national politics after 2016 (kind of like Hilary Clinton).
Just in: the President will have an interview on MNF TONIGHT AT Halftime.
Espn!
Yes..and so will Mittens…gag!
This is going to leave a mark:
Did you see it LL? What did you think?
Have it DVR’d. Will enjoy it tomorrow when I get off of work at 2 pm, as I’m doing my bit for democracy and am going to be at the library at 6 a.m. to open it for the poll workers.
Team Obama\Biden 2012..Yes WE Can Again !!!!!!!
hadn’t seen this one before–so sweet, and powerful. got to the end, and what do you know? tod!! love this place, love you chips!!! thanks again for alllllllllll you do!
Before I head over to OFA for a couple hours of calls tonight, I leave you with this 🙂 🙂 🙂
https://twitter.com/Bfrugal1/status/265097402191593472
I will likely be joining the sobbing masses tonight too, watching the final campaign appearance in Des Moines, “Ending where it all began”. PBO will deliver remarks at his very first campaign headquarters. I watched every minute as it began in my old home state, watched all those first small gatherings in the farm backyards——watched the farmer in overalls come up to Barack Obama and say, “Well, I don’t know if I’m going to vote for you or not yet, but I thought I’d come and meet ya and check ya out.” And Obama said he understood and knew that he wanted to kick the tires a liitle bit before he bought. They shared a laugh, and I thought—-sold! I watched as the gatherings grew in numbers and the little old ladies started asking to have their pictures taken with him and asked if they could take him out for lunch——and giggled. And on and on it went until that great Ia. caucus night——so monumental—–he asked Iowans to give him a “fair hearing” and they did and they liked what they heard and they sent him on his way. I can’t believe this is the last one.

New post everyone:
http://theobamadiary.com/2012/11/05/the-columbus-speech/
I for one will be happy when “campaigning” is over! I thought when we elected him, I could breathe easy. And look forward to progressive, liberal policies being enacted. I could actually look forward to State of the Union addresses, and speeches by a President I have respect for. And I could be happy and proud when he was meeting with leaders of nations around the world, both abroad and here at home. And I have had all that and more, but I still feel like with the obstruction by the Republicans in Congress, that the campaign of 2008 never ended. Because there was Sarah Palin, their attack dog, on FOX news always lambasting anything our President did or said and to the point of even calling him ugly names, saying ugly, sexually tinged remarks about him, about Michelle. And she was not the only one. And there was the campaigning for healthcare reforms, with the town hall meetings and the ugliness that accompanied that. Then there was 2010 and the senate and house races. I want a landslide so bad I can hardly stand it. I want to put a big sign in my yard that reads, “the people have spoken, again!” Then I want the GOP to go away. I want this President to be able to breathe and to work for the next four years to take our country so far FORWARD that no other party or movement can ever take us back. I want to work with him. I would love to see the Jobs Act passed in its entirety and have jobs created and volunteer positions created to rebuild our infrastructure, enhance it, move it forward. I dream of these things. I am ranting, sorry.
