And that would probably be me … and I’d say, NO, I am holding onto him for 4 more years …. and then you all would be visiting me in prison (bring cake).
Wunnerful, wunnerful speech ending with a firm but not too intense 3 point podium slap. #2 described it as his, I.(slap) GOT.(slap) THIS.(slap). It’s part of his closing argument meant more to fire up the troops to GOTV now. The closing podium slap maneuver.
IMO VPJoe makes a great case for the President because every word he says is the unvarnished truth. He obviously has tremendous respect for,and confidence in, Barack and that shines through. When you believe in your product selling it to others is a labour of love.
Biden was an inspired choice for VP. (As was Hillary Clinton for SOS.) Joe has been around the block a few times. He’s known tragedy. He’s had a kid serving overseas. He knows DC inside and out. He’s loyal. And he’s effing funny! Love the guy.
Well, I got two more Fl. voters for Obama—–one was my 95 year old mom! I waited till now to bring up the subject because at her age I wanted it all clear and fresh in her mind. But she was adamant! Of course, honey, I’m voting for President Obama! What do you think? I hope he wins!” Good! so we’re all cool with that! And she just has to shuffle down the hall to vote as there is a polling station in her sr. citizens bldg. And—-Howie, her 94 yr. old beau is voting for Obama too, she said. They’re going together——a date, of sorts!
ME TOO! Fortunately, I made myself get on top of the billing at the office; send a couple of very important faxes, do some filing … I will see how Monday goes and if my nerves are frayed … I may have to tell my boss (who is my hubby) that I need to be away on Tuesday – to where, I don’t know.
I just said to someone, that though I never, ever, try to wish time away (need to hang onto every minute), but it sure would be nice to wake up and it’s Wednesday tomorrow and I’m hung over from celebration.
In one way, I do want it to be over. In another, after this, won’t be so many speeches, so many opportunities to see him, and people will lose the unity and go back to squabbling over details. I hope that everyone will continue to show up here because I would hate to lose touch. (My obstetrician said I was also the only pregnant lady he’d ever had that was reluctant to go into labor – long story!)
i just got off the phone with my aunt in Philly. we were talking about the election and how she’s going to vote early tuesday morning before going to work. she was pissed as all get out that Willard has set his sights on PA. She said: “and now I hear that fool is coming to PA. what the heck does he think he’s going to get here? is he crazy?!” Then she talked about how dishonest and ridiculous he was. She then went on to list all his faults and i was so shocked she had so many details about his lies since she doesn’t watch cable news or anything like that. She talked about all his ‘day one’ plans i.e.: repeal ObamaCare, getting rid of Planned Parenthood, etc and she was just disgusted. We talked about how important OH and FL were and how the repukes better not try to steal the election, etc. She also talked about how the repukes have been trying to sabotage PBO from day one and that even though they’ve tried throughout his presidency, PBO has always managed to come out on top. we agreed, I don’t think that after all these trials and tribulations, all the sabotage that PBO has weathered, that we will be going backwards now. It just doesn’t make any kind of sense. So we ended the conversation, both hopeful about the results tuesday night. I told her I’d be fleeing to Canada if Willard steals the election, to which she responded that it’s easier being an illegal alien here than in Canada where she stated, “they hunt you down and kick you outta their country!” hahahahhahahhaha! 😆 Say what now?! Really Canada? Do y’all do that?! 😆 well la di da! I didn’t know it was like that in Canada! So that’s how y’all roll. Hm!! She said if Willard stole the election, then we might as well all be dead— that’s how much she hates him. I told her I’d rather have a third term of W. because even though he was an idiot, he did have some core principles and he wasn’t an asshole, just a dumbass. She agreed. Then she had to hang up to go get ready for church again tonight.
lol…dumb ass versus asshole….You’ve nailed it Lisa. You know it’s bad when a 3rd W term would be preferred over Willard. That won’t be necessary because we’re gonna bring it home on Tuesday night.
hahahahahahhahahaha!! 😆 please, ut, tell us what you really think!! I think in all this time on this blog, I’ve never seen you respond this strongly. AWESOME! 😆
So Romney’s starting with the blame game. Now it’s Christie’s fault and the only reason he gave PBO such praise was because he’s jealous that Ryan was picked for the VP slot. His jealousy has cost Mitt the election, stopped the Mitt for Brains momentum. Then there’s the one about folks tampering with the voting machines in Ohio……oh wait….
say what now?! he’s turning on Christie? Not a good idea, Mitt. Christie looks like the type of guy to hold a grudge. if he knew what was good for him, he better not mention Crispy’s name.
Lurking mostly today. Doing chores, cooking, taking care of the spouse. Having a cocktail right now.
God, I wish it was Tuesday already. I’ll have TOD up and electoral-vote.com starting at 7 pm EST. I’ll be damned if I watch any of the “news” networks.
I’m trying to decide if I go and hang out with the PBOers at McCormick Place in the city where he’ll be that night. I won’t get in, but just hanging around with happy folks should be fun. Then again, it’s right off the lake and believe me, it gets mighty cold outside off that lake at night. So I may just hang around on TOD with a sippy cup of sumthin sumthin.
Well, I’ll read it for you 🙂 It’s a good article, here are two good bits from it: Romney’s lead with voters 65 and older has slipped 10 points in a week, and “As Pew’s analysis notes, “Perhaps the best news for Obama in the poll is the strength of his supporters’ enthusiasm. Eight in 10 Obama supporters say they’re voting for him rather than against Romney, while only 60 percent of Romney supporters say they’re primarily voting for him rather than against Obama. In past elections, dating to 1960, the candidate with the higher percentage of strong support has usually gone on to win the popular vote….And far more registered voters expect an Obama victory than a Romney victory on Nov. 6 (52% vs. 30%)
I’m mad because I waited till after the Packers game to make my calls because I thought OFA would have me calling Wi. again, same as yesterday. (everyone in Wi. watches the Packers, and I didn’t want to run into crabbys who were mad I was interrupting their game) But when I logged on, they had me calling Iowa again. And this was a little tougher duty today. I don’t think these were former Obama voters, seemed like just a random list of registered voters because I ran into a lot of low infos. (Obama voters have seemed more clued in, aware of all the issues). And the list was not set up with their polling addresses and election day hours like yesterday. So, even tho I got some clear Obama voters, I also got “Oh, I don’t know. I don’t really like either one.” etc. One person said she thought she might vote for Romney because he would protect social security. YIKES! So I went to work on that one and straightened her out. Think I brought her into the light. Think I also convinced some wishy-washy peeps which candidate would protect their interests. Needed to do a lot of fast talking with these small town folks so they don’t cluelessly vote against their self-interests. So I think I did some good. Calls and persuasion still are needed. People still need to be taught the facts.
Has anyone posted this excellent column from Michael Smerconish in the Philly Inquirer? I give him credit for writing this. I heard he has taken a lot of backlash from the same people he was describing in the article, the irate name-callers. Irony.
One encouraging thing I noticed from seeing the photos posted is that it is starting to be hard to distinguish between the rally crowds and the voting line crowds.
Chips, emailed you photo of NEA banner a few days ago. I think it fits in this thread. What we’re fighting for also: education. It’s such a cool banner on an busy section of lobby haven. That’s what made me LOL!

Land ho! Dead ahead. Maintain course and speed……
Helloooooooo Shipmate!
Ahoy Admiral. I’m in the lurking mode but couldn’t resist the chance to make the top 10.
A great day that needs to be remembered. Thanks UT and Chips.
Look how young those two especially were then; Malia and Shasha.
Afternoon All!
Obama/Biden2012
I see that Paul Ryan is in Minnesota.
Ryan is in Minnesota lying.
FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! WIN! WIN! WIN! WIN! FIGHT TO WIN! OBAMA/BIDEN SHALL WIN!!!!
O-ho, VL, you triggered a memory.
I hope they already voted?
thanks for bringing this stuff back out in view–he can’t etchasketch it away!
One beautiful thing in voting/working for Pres. Obama & VP Joe is that they make it absolutely clear what we are fighting for!
And, better still, far from not taking responsibility we are fighting for our own future. That’s empowering IMO.
LOL!! I know the Secret Service is not laughing but the woman just seems like she’s trying to express her love for PBO.
And that would probably be me … and I’d say, NO, I am holding onto him for 4 more years …. and then you all would be visiting me in prison (bring cake).
That’s where the failing media underestimate the enthusiasm toward this man. There was never anything like that and the pundits can’t deal with it.
Come to think of it, I haven’t seen anybody that wanted to hug Robme except his wife.
Pres. Obama made the right choice with VP Biden. What a solid partnership. He’s on Hardball right now and he’s fantastic as usual.
Wunnerful, wunnerful speech ending with a firm but not too intense 3 point podium slap. #2 described it as his, I.(slap) GOT.(slap) THIS.(slap). It’s part of his closing argument meant more to fire up the troops to GOTV now. The closing podium slap maneuver.
gonna need some new podiums after this campaign! 🙂
Great Biden interview with Matthews. This guy can make a great case for the prez.
IMO VPJoe makes a great case for the President because every word he says is the unvarnished truth. He obviously has tremendous respect for,and confidence in, Barack and that shines through. When you believe in your product selling it to others is a labour of love.

Special Hardball edition. Tweety interviews VP Joe for the entire program.
Well maybe not the entire show. Da Bears
President Clinton ON … CNN … NC

😳 Love you back, VC!! 🙂
too cute. I love it! Mom sounds like a cougar….meow.
I see it in my head right this minute, Dotster. 😆 Good for them! Reminds me of this. [Hmmmmm, lots of memories being triggered this afternoon]
Wow, never saw that before. Damn good ad.
I love all this guy(Louie Ludwig)’s political ads – he has about 25 of them on YouTube. Well, except maybe 2 of them.
Outstanding. Way to go Mom & Howie! 🙂
how many people here just want it to be Tuesday night already? I’m so over this damned wait!!
I am. Supposed to be studying, not done anything productive this weekend.
same here. I feel as though my life is on hold till after this fricking election.
I’ll probably be watching random videos while constantly refreshing TOD until the early hours of Wednesday morning.
ME TOO! Fortunately, I made myself get on top of the billing at the office; send a couple of very important faxes, do some filing … I will see how Monday goes and if my nerves are frayed … I may have to tell my boss (who is my hubby) that I need to be away on Tuesday – to where, I don’t know.
ha! you go daisy!!! 😆
I just said to someone, that though I never, ever, try to wish time away (need to hang onto every minute), but it sure would be nice to wake up and it’s Wednesday tomorrow and I’m hung over from celebration.
YES!!!!!
ME TOO!
I sure as hell am. My nerves cannot stand this anymore.
amen. I’m sick and tired. I need PBO re-elected and everything going back to normal.
Yeah I am ready for this to be OVER. lol
Well y’all, how about a little choir practice to perk up the waiting room?
I am more than ready for this to be over and for POTUS to be re-elected. And, also, so I don’t have to see that vile Chuck Todd shilling for Romney.
In one way, I do want it to be over. In another, after this, won’t be so many speeches, so many opportunities to see him, and people will lose the unity and go back to squabbling over details. I hope that everyone will continue to show up here because I would hate to lose touch. As we wrap up the closing days of this election let’s remember…
🙂
I love Stephen Fry!! I think he went to one of Mitt Romney’s events when he was doing a documentary where he visited all 50 states back in 2007.
Different Stephen Fry. This one’s a dancer.
well Mr. Fry, from your lips to god’s ears.

Canada: It’s easy to be here LEGALLY. Why bother being a fugitive? It’s hard on the digestion.
lol…dumb ass versus asshole….You’ve nailed it Lisa. You know it’s bad when a 3rd W term would be preferred over Willard. That won’t be necessary because we’re gonna bring it home on Tuesday night.
Not the comeuppance comeback! Can I get a woot, woot!
“F” Karl Rove. His ass ought to have been in prison for outting that CIA agent .
BOOM! Motherfucker! Bill Burton is the MAN!
hahahahahahhahahaha!! 😆 please, ut, tell us what you really think!! I think in all this time on this blog, I’ve never seen you respond this strongly. AWESOME! 😆
YES!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Bill Clinton for all you are doing to help re-elect President Obama.
You guys have got to check this picture out. John Kerry is hilarious.

That’s his best one yet, Dudette, and totally consistent with Team Obama’s message. Let’s hope they leverage it.
#TrustBarack – He tells you what he’s gonna do, and he does it 🙂
Absolutely!
I’m doing everything I can to make it so FLOTUS.
One encouraging thing I noticed from seeing the photos posted is that it is starting to be hard to distinguish between the rally crowds and the voting line crowds.
Another 3 pt. nat. poll for PBO.

Hey folks. It is what it is. Everybody take a deep breath and focus. It’s now up to the media to dramatize bullshit to help increase their ratings!
