This will be an emotional rally – his final one in this campaign, and for himself.

    • November 4, 2012 at 9:27 pm

An emotional one for him and Michelle, Iowa and for all of us.

… LOL … Indian food served on a banana leaf – is just pure awesome… don’t forget the ‘sothee’ … my favourite was always the mutton curry and Idiappam… used to be staple on Deepavali day.
I hope you can incorporate some sight-seeing. My sis was in SL in August (vacay), she and her family had a good time.

Yes, Indeed! I am so grateful to the people of Iowa who defied pundits in 2008 and decided to bet on this decent man. I have this feeling that Iowa and the other so called battleground states will do exactly the same thing on Nov. 6th by voting to re-elect him.

      is that tomorrow?
just watching pbo giving his rally speeches the past couple of days, and thinking, this is it–the energy, the passion, the crowds and music and hugs and ss guys– i’m going to miss watching pbo campaign! he’s so good, but i know he’s so tired and ready for the election. we all are–it’s been a long and furious campaign. but i’ll miss this–seeing him every day this way, surrounded by huge crowds of devoted followers.

Does anyone know where I can get a play list from these rallies. I heard a song today at Biden’s rally that just turned my heart upside down and back up again for what these two guys are doing to move the US forward. Is it possible to love them more? Sure. If you know…please help.

There’s often people who get on AF1 after POTUS, including the people carrying bags, his advisors, etc. I think the plane is just ready to leave as soon as the President is on board, so they start getting ready to take off.

              • November 4, 2012 at 10:29 pm

This and Hobbit will be my only forays into a theatre this year, aside from the 2 wasted hours I’ll never get back with Prometheus.

                • November 4, 2012 at 10:34 pm

I’m still going to get Prometheus from Netflix. Some things you just have to experience for yourself.

                  • November 4, 2012 at 10:55 pm

Ridley is someone I dream of working with. Prometheus is GORGEOUS. Everyone in it is superb especially the überyummy Fassbender. That said, it’s the most ridiculous script ever, with smart scientists making one unbelievably stupid decision after another just to advance the plot. The fly light years to the planet with only GROUND VEHICLES. no, really. Even the original Star Trek had shuttles for fuck sake. If you can get past the insultingly stupid script, you might have fun. I felt sorry for the cast.

Unlike the horrid theatrical release of Kingdom of Heaven – and the BRILLIANT directors cut which is a completely wonderful movie with 45 bonus minutes that makes the whole thing make sense….. Prometheus made me want to shake R. Scott. But I still would love to work with him.

It was playing on Directv recently, and after I watched it, I knew I would have been furious if I’d paid full price in the theater. It was entertaining, though, if you leave your brain checked at the door.

Hey all! I’m back from my non-stop campaign quarantine. I went to Norfolk, VA for the weekend and did 4 canvassing shifts and 1 phonebank. Everything went awesome! I really think VA is going to stay blue because of all the hard work and dedication from our teams. The college team alone knocked on 45,000 doors and made over 20,000 phone calls this weekend. However, the highlight of my trip was yesterday. I knocked on a lady’s door. She was 70 years old and when I asked her if she was planning to vote for President Obama she said she wasn’t sure and was thinking about not voting. I asked why? She told me about how she was concerned about the things she was hearing about the debt. She also told me that she didn’t like Romney and his views on women. I explained to her how PBO had to take emergency measures to save the economy and that he wants to reduce our debt in a balanced way. Then, she invited me inside her home because she had more questions. She told me she is on social security and medicaid, and she didn’t know that Ryan’s budget would cut her benefits significantly. We talked for about a half-hour. To make a long story short, I convinced her to vote for PBO on Tuesday! She seemed so relieved that I was willing to explain the issues to her.

I’m so proud of all the hard work we’re putting in these last few days. I’m 100% confident PBO will be reelected. Our ground game is phenomenal.

Chris Christie Says He’ll Vote For Mitt Romney, Defends Obama Praise

JERUSALEM, Nov 4 (Reuters) – New Jersey Governor Chris Christie defended his praise for President Barack Obama’s support after superstorm Sandy, but said he would stick with his Republican ticket and vote for Mitt Romney in this Tuesday’s election.

Obama “provided help to my people at one of the worst crises that this state has ever faced,” Christie added. “When somebody does a good job, they deserve credit.”

“Anybody who is upset in the Republican Party about this, they haven’t been to New Jersey. Come see the destruction, come see the loss.”

I’ve been catching up and reading collegekay’s report. it seems completely off the planet (Mars?) that with current technology and media people do not know the truth as to the policies PBO vs Romney. That ANYONE thinks R&R would be good for SS/Medicare/Medicaid is an absolute media fail – and very sad. CK has done a wonderful job by carefully explaining the truth – why is this so hard for the media to do.

I understand people voting against their own interest when they KNOW the facts (they may think there is a greater need elsewhere) but voting when they either don’t know, or believe the opposite to the facts seems to be what the likes of Chuck Todd want people to do.

And although I shouldn’t mention the name – looking at some online MSNBC promotions – Old Chuck seems to think he is the President – striding up the path to the Whitehouse – I am so looking forward to his suffering Tues/Wed

The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than the British or the Americans. On the other hand, the French eat a lot of fat and also suffer fewer heart attacks than the British or the Americans.

The Japanese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than the British or the Americans. The Italians drink excessive amounts of red wine and also suffer fewer heart attacks than the British or the Americans.

Conclusion: Eat and drink what you like. It’s speaking English that kills you.

          ….

All kidding aside, contrary to the ‘conventional wisdom’ here, I am not that much of a drinker. So, don’t worry.

‘Conclusion: Eat and drink what you like.’ This reminds me of my grandmother who had this theory that ‘everything gives you cancer’ so she was going to eat whatever she enjoyed or felt like eating at any given time and in whatever quantity she desired, and to h_ _ _ with the doctor’s advice. Of course she was also a proponent of the theory that we all have to die so why sweat it.

I’m so trying to stay awake for Seal Team Six that airs at 10pm here. I want to see and hear PBO’s last campaign speech tonight as well. I don’t think I’ll make it. I’m nearly falling asleep in my chair. Thank goodness for modern technology, I’ll catch it all tomorrow.

Happy birthday to the young whipper snapper AMK!!!!! A return in kind for your birthday:

A truck driver was driving along on the freeway and noticed a sign that read: Low Bridge Ahead. Before he knows it, the bridge is right in front of him and his truck gets wedged under it. Cars are backed up for miles.

Finally a police car comes up. The cop gets out of his car and walks to the truck driver, puts his hands on his hips and says, ‘Got stuck, huh?’

The truck driver says, ‘No, I was delivering this bridge and I ran out of gas.’

      Thanks CTgirl.

Yup, I am as grey as that kenyan. It all happened after I signed up for this place.

(Ok, not so much, I am 40% grey).

My kittehs are so good at what day it is, and what TIME it is. Until this day every year. They really hate going back to Standard Time, because dinner is an hour late. “FEED ME MUMMY!!!”

I always find it amazing how animals have a built in clock. My dog use to start about 20 mins early every day. And I didn’t dare say the word “suppertime” or all hell would break lose. 🙂
