    Happy birthday symmetry11!

    It’s my mother’s birthday Saturday…..another Scorpio.

I am so obsessed with the elections that it’s all I think about it seem. My work schedule changed, my work load tripled in the past few weeks because the company I worked for was sold so it’s a bit crazy lately for me…major adjustment and bad bad timing.

I do keep up the best I can….I’m so nervous but I have no doubt that the President will be elected…I just want it to be over.

My brother called me earlier and said to me…..”hey sis, November 3rd Saturday”………..I said to him: ”Yea I know, 3 days before the elections!!!”….He said: ”mmmm no, I meant it’s mom’s birthday”……….ouch!! I completely forgot about it….completely.

I have a couple of hours tonight to find something for her that won’t look like a last minute gift……

My nerves can’t take more of this…..it’s so intense.

dearest Christi – I feel you friend! deeply! I’m obsessed! My friends tell me I have to take a “chill pill” I can’t and I won’t…I need to be alert and attuned to every single little iota of a change in: polling; endorsements; mitts lies and deceptions which I need to continue to dismantle; and of course, with only these few days left, I/we must continue to reach out to our friends in the “battlegrounds”…and as for those handful of “undecideds” wow I just wish I could meet them all… I have a friend here at work who is “undecided” and I just gently lectured to him about WOMEN’S RIGHTS and he actually grinned and said You did good today! I’ll let you try again tomorrow! I think I’m getting through! My 81 yr. old Mom has been sitting alone in the dark in downtown Manhattan for the past few days – and I CAN THINK OF NOTHING BUT HER AND THIS ELECTION!!! YOUR MOM WILL UNDERSTAND AND WISH HER A HAPPY BIRTHDAY FROM YOUR FRIENDS HERE AT TOD!!!! ON TO VICTORY!!!

    • November 1, 2012 at 5:30 pm

LOL, Christi!! Please enjoy every one of these moments from now until victory on Tuesday night. The President is having a great time, let’s all have fun with him!!!

And, Happy Birthday to your mom!!

Hey TOD peeps!! I’m not sure if you guys had a chance to read this post by JaquelineOboomer(hope I spelled it correctly, if not I apologize) posted on the “Coming Up” thread. I didn’t see it on the previous thread and thought it should be brought over. It’s so cool that CanadaBarb met a fellow TODer!

“Hi, O’friends! Popping in to drop a message from “canadabarb4obama” from her cruise ship (from hell):

“Special news bulletin: Met Mrs. Sea (lovely AA lady from NY) when coming off elevator; we looked in each others eyes and at once clicked … she actually recognized my name from the blog!!!! Her hubby goes on as a lurker and pulls up important stuff for her to read! We only had about 7 minutes to chat and i ended up in tears; we held hands; how sweet it was…..please post on TOD for me”

    Good for you, Barb!”

Been calling Iowa again—little dots on the map—-dozens and dozens of towns I’ve never heard of, even tho I grew up in that state. Many not at home but all contacts were enthusiastic election day Obama voters—-all seem very aware of all that is on the line in this election. I did run into someone who knew my now deceased aunt and uncle and is friends with their grandson!—and an Obama voter—-“we’re all voting for Obama”, he said about his family. I think the only town that has not popped up yet on my calling list is the one where my mom and dad met, which was basically an intersection with a school house where she taught and a gas station/general store which my dad owned. Wasn’t it lucky that they liked each other? Their prospects were limited. 🙂 (both cute and nice and same Scandanavian last name—fate!)

Yes, there’s money to be made! —-even with disasters. That’s the GOP’s whole deal.

    • November 1, 2012 at 6:37 pm

We already have for profit natural disaster corporations – they’re called property and casualty insurance companies – and we all know how they work out.

      This is disgusting.

This ties in perfectly with the way GOPs operate – privatize stuff so that their buddies can provide the services, so that they can funnel the jobs to them, so that the money ultimately ends up in their buds’ (and sometimes their own) pockets. Is Jeb positioning himself on this at this point because he foolishly things Mitt is going to win? Is this the price for his endorsement of Mitt? Is Mitt putting up some of the start-up cost? Does Jeb know something we don’t know about them trying to steal votes? Doesn’t matter anyways, because Romney-Ryan aren’t going to win, whatever they do.

Afternoon – I know this might be dated, but in case you haven’t seen this video, it’s about 7 min and 17 seconds, it’s a must watch video.

I’ve been feeling anxious and down about all the idiot haters, and watching this video really lifted me up. It’s a GREAT summary of where we came from and everything President Obama has done! It definitely made me energized!!
