Mooooooooorning everyone. It’s another busy-ish Sunday, but I’ll drop in and out through the day and will update with newsie stuff later.
It’s a comical notion, but if by any chance Chelsea beat Manchester United today – 🙄 – UT and LL’s comments will go straight to spam until around, ooooh, August 2017. Just letting you know, in case you’re wondering where they’ve gone.
PS Sorry again for not replying yet to a bunch of emails, just didn’t get a chance yesterday. Will do asap!
****
Hi
Congrats on first Eyecandi.
Thanks Suzette.
Moooooooorning eyecandi!
Thank you Chip! My favorite couple.
eyecandi ? Sorry, need moar proof.
😆 Eyecandi? You’re in for a long day!
What ? Don’t you think that peeps ought to back up their claims ? After all, we men are very objective.
It’s a risky path to go down, amk. What if we have a new person here called, say, ‘Big Bosomed Bertha’? Are you going to demand photo proof then too? Actually, I’m sorry I asked that.
Too late.
Of course, I am gonna.
btw, the nym BBB is awesome. 🙂
Ha, I thought you’d like BBB! 😆
What ? I was just referring to the alliteration. Cross my heart. (which I don’t have)
lol.. you have to take my word for it.
But, but .. you’re breaking the blog’s tradition – All firsts have to post their pics, especially when they make such outrageous claims.
(Shuddup TOD’ers)
🙄 🙄 Sigh! /but I didn’t say a word/
Good morning all.
GM Chips and TOD family. Second day of EV in Fla. and “Souls to the polls” push by AA congregations.
Most of my family and I voted yesterday. Looking for the state to re- elect PBO.
Thank you Rev. Al.
Rev. Al is a spiritual soldier in the true sense of the word. He works hard and never ask for any thanks. I love the REV!! and yes, a big thank you to Rev Al.
GM folks. GM Chips.
This brilliant toon deserves a mention ?
Wow, that’s a stunner amk – will definitely add it to a newsie post later today. Thank you! And good moooooooooooooooorning.
Thanks chips. It’s very disturbing. But then are the rwnj’s stands. Bennett was simply brilliant in this.
G’day, I agree, amk, it is disturbing, because it is a symbol of a reality, now a ghost for many, but too likely to resurrect in it’s hideous implication. Okay, tea now, then will try typing again 😳 {{{{{Chips}}}}}
Chilling and to the point. I remember those days. WE ARE NOT GOING BACK!!!!!!!!!!!! Morning all….
GM df.
Horrible image, but so true. I’m old enough to “hear talk,” back in the ’50s. We cannot go back!
Steffani Cutter on This Week, my Favorite.
I like Jen Psaki, too.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…..It’s game time Chips and we’re going to CRUSH you and the squirrel on Wayne Rooney’s head. You put my comments in spam….I will HAUNT you forever and make Wayne Rooney bald again.
Go Chelsea! Go BLUE!
Everyone? This might be the last comment you see here from UT until, as I mentioned, August 2017 – so get yer goodbyes in now.
Uniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiited.
So when Chelsea BEATS, CRUSHES, DOMINATES, ELIMINATES, Manchester United, you’ll need until August 2017 to recover? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…..Get ready for the fainting couch woman! I will haunt you everywhere. I will take over your blog. I will jump at you from every street corner. I will rule the world.
You’re going dooooooooooooooooown. Chelsea for life!
Did anyone else hear a loud noise? Kind of like Meat Loaf singing America the Beautiful?
fight, fight, fight.
LOLz!!
Oh why oh why did you remind me of Meatloaf singing??? Just when I had successfully erased that noise, you HAD to go and mention it. Now my ears hurt.
Just for that, I will have to side with ut.
😦
Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!! Chips knows Manchester United is full of L-O-S-E-R-S.
Gals, ’nuff with all the trash talkin’. Let’s see some action.
You guys are funny.
Good Sunday morning everyone.
Why august 2017 ? Does she mean man u ain’t gonna cut it till then ?
(‘Cos it’ll take me that long to recover)
binge’er. tsk, tsk, tsk.
😆
Y’all are too funny over a silly footie match…. And even before my first cuppa! : lol:
‘silly footie match’. ???
You better take that back. soccer is sublime.
What’s footie? What’s a footie match?
As I go back to reading War and Peace…….
Great Pics as always chips! On my way to work. Every day I am not working I am volunteering. Lots of people voted yesterday in Florida. Huge lines and huge dem turnout. I vote in every election…primaries, state, local, school board you name it. I have not seen lines like this since 2008.
That looks like P. Pines Charter. My home city.
Tune in, let me know what he says?
These photos are phenomenal, Chips.
6th picture down: it takes 8 secret service guys to ride herd on PBO. They are not playing.
They way the children look at him and the way that he interacts with them is so precious.
I also love how our guy can just hang with the fellas drinking a pint in such a natural way.
Another favorite is of the woman in the restaurant who looks so overwhelmed to see him.
And last, I love that he is still wearing his pink breast cancer awareness bracelet.
I see that our PBO will be presidenting to make sure that all is well in the wake of Hurricane Sandy instead of campaigning. That is our guy, always on the job, caring for us. I hope the pele of New York do not suffer because their mayor is. d–k.
Aren’t they goregous Ceb? So thrilled Scout Tufankjian is working with the campaign again, her photos from 07/08 were absolutely beautiful.
I love the kids with Obama pics the most. They are genuinely happy to see him, especially the pretinas.
Tampa bay times headlines, pushing a mason Dixon poll, it’s all over for Obama.
Je*us Chr*st!
That was a pushed headline from Robney Camp.
Above the fold, too??? Mason Dixon???
Whatever.
Just keep early voting, they are scared.
The Tampa Bay Times that endorsed PBO? http://www.tampabay.com/opinion/editorials/obama-for-president/1257328
I know, is that not crazy? You would expect more favorable coverage than headlines and pushing a mason Dixon poll.
Right?
Probably the RWNJs at the paper trying to provide ‘balance’ after the endorsement 😆
No doubt!
Mason Dixon poll also had Sharron Angle leading Harry Reid 49-44 right before the midterm election.
Great catch CK, they sound so reliable 🙄
So the Tampa Bay Times is saying POTUS should give up on Florida, because of the Mason Dixie poll.. Let’s see if the campaign will listen to them, if the campaign don’t, then we don’t. Keep voting Florida for Obama/Biden.
why would the campaign listen to them? Doesn’t PBO have his own internal polls? when has PBO ever listened to pundits, papers or right wing nut jobs? my advice: Ignore or press Ctrl, Alt, Del.
So ask yourself this question. Who benefits from this headline aside from Mittnocchio’s camp? What country will benefit from a mittnocchio presidential horror show and in the process destroy the quality of life in America? Think of it as PSYOPS.
G’morning Chips, TOD, everyone! Congratulations eyecandi on #1! 🙂
Mooooooooorning Hopefruit!!! Morning everyone 😉
But but but you didn’t walk over broken glass to get here and…
LOL!
Thanks hopefriut2..
I am happy to say I attended this rally and started a 4 more years chant! Here’s my lousy cellphone picture from 2 hours before Obama’s speech:
https://mobile.twitter.com/Calidad1/status/262227157240147968/photo/1
I was hoping to see my picture in Chips diary but alas the crowd was too big!
Wow, love that Calidad – look at the crowd!! Thank you!
Good morning everyone. I posted this late last night but am reposting. VA is allowing early voting by in person absentee ballot due to the storm. I assume OFA VA has been advised but please get the word out through twitter, etc.
For those of you working VA, and those who tweet: The Virginia Board of Elections is recommending that local election registrars accommodate those who want to vote absentee in person due to the potential impact of Sandy. Please spread the word!
http://www.wric.com/story/19932922/va-sbe-prepares-for-absentee-voters-ahhead-of-sandy
Thank you, FoxfireTx. That is GREAT news.
Tweet this to OFA Virginia.
Posted to Dashboard
LOL!! I was looking at the NH pictures when it dawned on me. Most of these folks are white. This could be a Romney event. Then I looked at the faces and realized you could NEVER mistake this for a Romney event. The people are all different ages and everyone looks happy. No nasty hate filled faces, no bored looks–Has to be an event featuring POTUS!
Good morning, TODville!!
I want to thank everyone on the previous thread for a very thoughtful discussion of the media. And I also want to apologize to Chips and everyone for offending TODers by bringing that MSM jerk’s tweet here last night. I didn’t mean to upset anyone. I absolutely despise the news media for abandoning their journalistic purpose and substituting it with their empty and manipulative gut reactions to everything under the sun. It shames our nation, destroys our democracy and produces a very uniformed populace that has become addicted to insipid drama. I can’t wait for their demise. Thanks to everyone here who has made a positive contribution to the discourse in this election. We are going to WIN.
FOWARD.
I wasn’t offended. I was amused by Howard Fineman’s ignorance. If at this point, it takes a pundit’s idiotic tweet to get us depressed, that says more about us than them. I view their tweets as a tool for my mockery and a fire in my belly to make sure we win. You’re good with me Meta, all day everyday. 😀
Your absolutely rock, uta!!
I took it as being informed on what’s happening out there. It’s a difficult balance, and Chips and everyone here tries their damnedest, between being informed and what becomes negative for our enthusiasm. We struggle with on a daily basis. I certainly took no offense at bringing Fineman’s actions here for some discussion. It was part of the narrative that we have to fight.
This site always makes me feel better! It’s hard to believe how fast the past four years have gone by. Al lot of those children in the photos haven’t even known any other president.
As PBO always says “we are the ones that we have been waiting for.” When institutions fail us we hold them accountable, work to change or to replace them. The greatest community organizer that there has ever been, whose area of influence is the world, has remined us that we have always had power, and finally, after a long sleep, we are exercising it. Chips is our community organizer and look at all of the smart, dedicated, energized, and just good people have gathered beneath her standard to be warriors for the common man and our President. Do not fear, all will be well.
Chips is TOD’s community organizer. The first mention of such is in reference to PBO.
THIS.
THIS!!
I adore Scout photos. There’s always a ton of emotional content in each one of them. And all the photos of POTUS with children reveal his innate gentleness. So incredibly moving.
She’s just brilliant Meta, I bought her book from the last campaign and look at it often, the photos are majestic. Her style – and the tone of the photos – is just unique, like nothing I’ve seen before. And she captures the most amazing expressions on people’s faces, love her.
Not all the MSM has been played:
The Des Moines Register’s Practical Joke
by Michael Tomasky
Oct 28, 2012 7:50 AM EDT
This Romney endorsement editorial, if you actually bother to read it, is little more than a practical joke. First of all, it has all the hallmarks of having been ordered by the publisher over the objections of the editorial board. Normally, a sentence like “the Register’s editorial board, as it should, had a vigorous debate over this endorsement,” translated into blunt English means: “Our idiot publisher forced this tripe down our throats, and we’re counting on you the more knowledgeable readers to understand this.”
The argument, such as it is, is as substanceless as meringue. Mitt Romney could “forge compromises with Congress” to get the economy rolling again? The first part of that might actually be true, but only because the Democrats in Congress aren’t nearly as ideologically hidebound and politically obstreperous as their GOP counterparts.
But the second part, fixing the economy, creating jobs, tackling the deficit? Romney has been ridiculously vague on all these things. The editorial doesn’t so much as gesture in that direction. And then bam, the editorial ends. Just when you think it might start mounting such “arguments,” it ends. I actually hit the refresh button three times, as I couldn’t believe the entire editorial had loaded properly. It’s as Potemkin Village-ish a piece of journalistic writing as I’ve seen in a long time.
Sadly, it probably will make a small difference, although I’m sure the politically inside elite out in Iowa is laughing about this morning. Most polls indicate that Obama has a couple of points to spare in the state. We’ll see. You can ask Hillary Clinton how much good the DMR did her in January 2008/

Beautiful photos Loved the look of the bar photo, and my favorites are always the PBO/kids photos. I just made mr. dotster look at them—-“Look at those joyful facial expressions! It’s always like that! There is something very special about his interactions with babies/kids.”
A couple of other notes—–just FYI, the editor of the DMR is not the same as the lady editor who endorsed Obama in ’08, a new rt. wing conservative editor was brought in a year ago.
Indy Star has endorsed the Dem Donnelly, not “God intended a rape/pregnancy” crazy goofball Mourdock.
Steffani cutter was great, pushing back on cherry picking of polls.
And now Newt Grinch is on, so Click to NFL network.
Yup, yup!
And NC is a tossup! Try as Chuck Might…
Speaking of NC ,here’s a great endorsement:
“Ever since he electrified the 2004 Democratic National Convention with a keynote speech, Barack Obama of Chicago had been marked as a man who might be destined for the White House. Destiny was fulfilled sooner than expected. The then-Illinois senator, a first-termer, was introduced to the next convention four years later as the nominee after a brutal series of primaries that saw him overcome candidates that included Hillary Clinton, the accomplished first lady who now is his secretary of state.
Now Obama seeks a second term, having weathered some early problems dealing with his own Democrats when they controlled Congress, and then running into a brick wall in a Republican-run House.
Yet despite congressional Republicans who vowed to make their first priority his defeat at all costs, the president has accomplished much in his first term”

Haven’t heard from Todd, that piece of garbage lately, and I haven’t missed him one bit.
amk – your tweets are a joy in their truth and descriptive delight
I love the . In front of the @, everyone in his circle can see the pushback/derision for his stupid tweets. These guys feel no shame.
Excellent tweet.
I don’t get it? Is he saying FL and WI are the only tight states?
This morning the Robney camp is pushing Wisconsin, so…!
No. Have ZERO interest in his “analysis” but he’s saying FL leans right and WI leans left. DUH.
Can he be serious?
See Detroit Free Press and the Toledo Blade, a great newspaper, have endorsed President Obama.
Tweet it.
I can’t choose a fave photo this morning, there are so many, saved almost every one! but tying up in the high lead are the little blond boy with his hands clasped in delight over his heart chakra, and the other one is the little tiny older lady, ALSO with her hands clasped in delight over her heart chakra! When I got to that one, I thought ~ That would be me, right there, exactly! Love you all, am on the 7 days track again, as this final stretch winds down. {{{{TOD}}}}.
Pamela! I thought exactly the same thing when I saw that little lady with joy in her eyes and hands over her heart!
Me too.
For anyone who is considering volunteering in the run-up to Election Day, this is a great video to illustrate how we are operating at this point using Ohio as an example. It captures the excitement and satisfaction of volunteering for President Barack Obama!!
GROUND GAME, baby!!
More evidence that the “Romney momentum” is being manufactured by the media.
My friend was a registered democrat but changed to independent this year. He wanted to know why his precinct was changed? He is a strong
Obama supported and voted Dem down ballot.. Any idea?
Also, congrats on first, eyecandi!
Thanks andogriff..
eyecandi–Your friend should check with his county supervisors, committeepeople, etc and the Election Office. Precincts are sometimes changed because of population shifts–if one gets too large, for example, it might be split. Or a very small precinct may be incorporated into a larger one. However, there should be lots of public notice about this, and, if people object, a public hearing. Sometimes it goes in front of a county judge for a final decision. People are owed an explanation and your friend should insist on one.
State legislatures did this…http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/ezra-klein/wp/2012/10/28/why-redistricting-could-doom-house-democrats/
Wonderful photos and articles again, undying love and gratitude to you, Ms Chips! And thanks to the great TOD people, I am not so much a nervous wreck this weekend as I might have been! Love this place and all it stands for.
I love the image of the woman crossing her arms over her heart as she looks at PBO with love–so identified with that. Today my house is once again a staging area with lots of people passing in and out. Got lots of snacks and drinks ready for the canvassers and phonebankers. Next week, we do our staging area in an empty downtown storefront location that will have to be transformed into a functioning center in a few hours. Have to take a deep breath ’cause there’s so much to do.
Jackie.. as I told Pamela above, it was also my favortie photo! Wonderful expression on her face.
Love that picture as well .
Forgot, congrats on first, eye candy.
{{{{{JG}}}}} you are AWESOME! thank you for all you are doing, jg and everyone! You are making a difference! It matters! We love you!
That final sentence –
MITT ROMNEY – HE WAS BORN ON THIRD BASE AND THOUGHT HE HIT A TRIPLE
Just a reminder: PBO is scheduled for Moaning Joe on Monday. Talk about a mixed blessing.
Well, we can use the same tactic during the debates: mute Joe.
Great, sanity-saving idea Esmerelda.
What time will he be on? I dont think they deserve to be in his presence at all.
I’m not sure, but since the show runs from 6-9am EST I guess it’s probably in the early part of the show.
Where is Howard Fineman this morning?
He’s a coward.
Hiding in Romney’s toilet.
LOL!
And the hits keep coming:
Good West coast morning folks. Any reporting from the Sunday morning shows yet? Are they safe to watch?
Depends how strong your stomach is.
Someone on MTP just said PBO has changed his positions more than RMoney during the campaign!!!!!
Rachael Maddow is on so some sparks may fly.
criquet, who was it who told such a lie, was it Mitt Romney? When you think of it Mitt isn’t the only Republican who is lying their ass off, they all are, with Mitt as the leader.
Good news…http://www.omaha.com/article/20121028/NEWS/710289927/1685#world-herald-poll-bob-kerrey-deb-fischer-senate-race-tightens
Yessss… Forward.
I hadn’t seen this before. Why am I not surprised?
http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2012/10/romney-47-percent-fundraiser-james-batmasian-tax-evasion
More good news:
Trust the campaign. Always.
I have come to believe this …..AMK….sometimes i falter because i become afraid…but no more….i choose HOPE over fear and despair…and i have been working to do my parrt to re-elect the President!!!!!…
Forward>>>>>>>>>>
Press On!!!
I trust this team, pf. !00%. The cable clowns, pundtwits and the pollsters are just there for mocking really.
I like this description!
crash & burn, baybee. 🙂
Ummmm…
Indeed.
Money quote (pun and all)
$644.6 million from Obama, $267.4 million from the DNC and $63.9 million from Priorities USA Action. The Republican total takes in $413.1 million from Romney, $351 million from the RNC, $131.7 million from Restore Our Future and $80.1 million from American Crossroads.
I can breathe now as I was seething from yesterday about Howard Fineman’s comment. Well, this morning I was on a roll! I tweeted newspaper endorsements to him . . . NOW he will be educated!
Good Morning all. . . 🙂
Martz, you did give Mr. Fineman a little information about the connection between the DMR and Bain.
G’day mates. Late start here but ahead of Coward Fineman for sure. Good luck with that Martz.
The Patriots are playing at Wembley Stadium, Today.
Good West Coast morning Chipsticks & TOD family!
These pics need no sub-titles – they speak VOLUMES, Thanks Chipsticks 🙂
Gooooooooood Morning MsssssssChipssss….GM TOD….
i so love that FORWARDDDDDDD video…..it so elevates my spirit!!!!!!!
Republican Senator endorses President Obama:
http://www.examiner.com/article/republican-senator-endorses-president-barack-obama-for-re-election
MH-P is very good today.
“Church of the Presidents.” How apt.
The truth be told- my back aches, my thighs are sore.
Extensive canvassing, knocking on doors…. here in Waynesboro/Fishersville(very red district), VA.
But greatly gratifying…. was on a conference call(least expected) with POTUS last Wednesday to say thank you!
Thank you, Byo:)
You are amazing, and Virginia will repent for 2010 by going blue this time because of people like you! Thanks, Byo!
You ROCK, Byo!

Reuters?
Btw- this is a great diary on souls to the polls!
Okay, I am more than pissed off right now, i am totally livid. Is it true that Ann Romney gave an interview stating that American public education system should be thrown out and be replaced with charter schools?. Is this woman for real? Why do the Romney family hate 99% of Americans? I guess they figure that only rich children can be allowed to attend schools, and poor kids who cannot afford private schools should just suck it up and find a more practical way to fend for themselves. I have never in my life disliked two people more than the pompous and egotistical Romney clan, I hope after November 7th, that both Ann and Mitt will permanently retire to the Cayman Islands, and never to seen on my TV screen ever again.
Yes….Good Housekeeping interview
They hate unions and don’t give a crap about public v charter schools for kids…..it’s all about getting rid of unions. The american people need to bring back unions and protections for all workers!
http://www.goodhousekeeping.com/family/celebrity-interviews/ann-romney-interview-2012-election The whole pathetic thing is here.
GH: Can you tell me, what campaign issue is closest to your heart?
AR: I’ve been a First Lady of the State. I have seen what happens to people’s lives if they don’t get a proper education. And we know the answers to that. The charter schools have provided the answers. The teachers’ unions are preventing those things from happening, from bringing real change to our educational system. We need to throw out the system.
Jewel, this is a great topic for your local call-in radio show and a Letter to the Editor. Make sure you tell all of your neighbors with children and spread the word about this outrageous anti-teacher statement.
Personally, as a retired public school elementary teacher of 22 years, I think the choice of having some magnet schools which is like charter schools but is within the public schools is a better route than private for profit schools. That way some children could be reached through their interest such as the arts, sports, science, math, writing etc.
Every private school teacher I came in contact with only could teach in private schools if they had a spouse working with benefits so they were not the sole breadwinner. Also the schools could throw out students that were discipline problems or did not achieve at the rate they wanted while public schools take everyone. I experienced many home schooled kids and private schooled kids coming back to public school after they were behind their grade level. I am sure there are also those that are ahead of the public school level too.
One objection I have is skimming the best students from the public schools to go to the private schools paying by vouchers. The public schools need diversity and all levels of academic achievement for all students to progress academically, socially, physically, empathetically, etc. I used to have an integrated classroom where it contained the marginal 1% of students that were academically and mentally challenged within the normal classroom. All kids benefitted from it. The challenged children had role models to emulate whereas the other kids learned to appreciate differences and become tolerant and kind to others. Mitt Romney must have missed these learning experiences in his private school.

Love how Team Obama is fanning out everywhere. Rahm is going to Ohio, Beau Biden was in VA yesterday, FLOTUS is leaving for Chicago tonight, POTUS is leaving for Florida today, etc.
I thought I heard/read somewhere this morning that PBO cancelled his campaign events for Mon and Tues due to the storm but now I can’t find any confirmation of that. Anyone know? This would be a change from what was announced last night where he just cancelled the VA and Co Springs events.
Great photos. No man who can inspire such devotion in a selfless and humble way is destined for anything but greatness.
New post everyone, back later:
http://theobamadiary.com/2012/10/28/at-your-service-12/
Update from Missouri:
Romney will win but I predict Obama will keep it closer than Kerry did. I have not seen or heard ONE Presidential ad at all this year. There isn’t even that many Presidential yard signs anywhere. Most of Missouri is more focused on the Senate race. McCaskill is still leading Akin although the race has tightened a lil bit in the last two weeks. Akin has been bringing in Big-Name Republicans to help him which is probably why while McCaskill has had to cancel a lot of campaign stops this week due to her mother being extremely ill. Gov. Nixon will easily beat his Republican challenger while I expect all of the other statewide Democrats (A.G., Treasurer, etc.) to win reelection. Missouri is an odd state. Republicans control large majorities in the State Senate and House while Democrats control the majority of the Executive Branch (Governor, Treasurer, S.O.S. and A.G.). We have 4 Democrats House of Representatives and 5 Republicans (Soon to be 3 to 5 due to losing a House Seat.) We have 1 GOP Senator and 1 Democrat. Yet on the national scale in terms of President, we’re slowly slipping away from the Democrats.
What is this? What’s the source?
