I absolutely love Margaret and Helen. I really do. I frequently print out their posts for hubby to read. This one is so good, it has me sitting here dumbfounded. It is so en pointe that I cannot even react. Wow. God, I hope the women in this country wake up before it is too late.
The first video is unbelievable, I’ve watched it 10 times already. I’m looking for a clip of him coming down the stairs and running to the podium. That gave me real chills.
People not of this age group who found this video “controversial” have absolutely no idea what life in 2012 is for teenagers and young adults. This is “G” rated compared to most of the TV shows they watch, not to mention everything available to them on YouTube, and through all kinds of social media. The angle used in this video will definitely grab the attention of the 18-and-older crowd, and, hopefully, more votes for PBO.
As if we needed another reason to give this man 4 more years….and his DOJ, too. h/t Bob Cesca
In other news, the Department of Justice filed a lawsuit yesterday against the city of Meridian, Lauderdale County, two juvenile court judges, and the state of Mississippi for its āschool-to-prison pipelineā that has been imprisoning children for minor classroom offenses.
Thank GOODNESS! The ginormous Prison industrial Complex is another big thing we need to tackle in this country! Enough with the damned private prisons.
Sadly, yes. Brian Wanker Williams… ugh! I kinda don’t want to give it any ratings (catch video later).
Isn’t Scandal on tonight?
Then FLOTUS on Jimmy Kimmel.
I didn’t like it either – he was slanting everything as a negative. And complaining a lot. All the while, the President was working his butt off – traveling around the country and asking Americans for their vote so he can work FOR THEM! I thought the President was resting a little bit when he was done with each leg of the trip – only to find that he was being hounded by Brian Williams!
It was about 12,000 tonight at the airport in Ohio, according to this article.

Obama’s Cleveland visit capped a two-day, round-the-clock tour that also stopped in Iowa, Colorado, Nevada, Florida and Virginia. Before arriving at Burke, Obama detoured to Chicago, where he became the first sitting president to cast a ballot in person before Election Day.
About 12,000 turned out for Obama’s 25-minute speech. It was his second event in Ohio in three days ā he and Vice President Joe Biden rallied Tuesday in Dayton ā and his voice was hoarse.

No matter what state weāre in or how many of these grassroots events weāve done in a row or even how little sleep Iām running on, Iām always thinking three things when I walk off the stage at a rally.
First, if itās a hot day like it was today in Virginia, Iām thinking about whether everybodyās getting enough water and staying healthy.
The second thing I think about is the incredible energy I see in our volunteers and supporters. Itās meant so much to me to feel just how geared up people areāthey understand whatās at stake in this election, and they are putting in the hours and logging the miles itās going to take to win.
Finally, I think about all the lives that we can change for the better in a second termāthe work we still have to do to put people back to work, build more manufacturing here in the United States, support small businesses, make sure that our tax code is fair as weāre reducing our deficit. Thereās so much ahead of us, and Iām really inspired by the prospect of having another four years to get it done together.
This trip has been great so far, and I canāt wait to see what our last stop has in store. Thanks for tracking our cross-continental all-nighterāand most of all, thanks for having my back.
Barack
P.S.āI just cast my vote in Chicago, and I hope I can count on yours.
I was a bit surprised that she even tweeted this as a “big news” to be announced on MSNBC. I was expecting something less personal and more along the lines of politics. But to each her own I guess!
True. But, I must say, today’s words from Gen Powell were the most harsh criticism, not just of Willard, but of those around him I’ve heard. As Wilkerson notes, his timing is always impeccable and, in this case, it was perfection. That video clip of both Powell and Wilkerson will likely be used 1000s of times by Team Obama – rightly so – between now and 6 Nov.
Chips – the video clip in this link is exceptional even with tweety in it š
I’m always in AWE of the optics in these events. The settings, the huge FORWARD signs in perfectly placed positions so they meet every camera angle, the placement of the podium. Just brilliant.
BriWi seemed a little tired out about his coverage on Rock Center, just from trying to keep up with President Obama for part of his whirlwind trip! But it was pretty good coverage, overall, since – at the end of the piece – President Obama got to speak directly to the viewers about what the presidency means, and that is having the (moral) compass to do your best for the American people, each and every day. He’s got my vote.
COS, can you please share some links that support your statement. I have not read or seen any clear evidence of media pushback against the Romney team’s claim that Romney is ahead and has momentum, except may be for the mild statement from Nate Silver.
I read a few of the tweets there, and I’m thinkin’ maybe. š
Plus, if I recall, he was more the “whiteboard” type – like the other loser, Rombo!
I recall that before he ran for President and kinda “lost it,” Ross Perot was extremely well regarded by the military, too (not just for business sense but because of his support for the military) and I recall a couple of high-powered Navy seminars where he was keynote speaker. And why I’m reminiscing about Ross Perot, whom I would never have voted for, I have no idea — but I seem to be “killing time” tonight! Ha!
My friend’s daughter (who’s a teacher in Florida) just posted this on her Facebook page, after someone posted an anti-Obama link there:
“I am sorry but i find it extremely disrespectful that you would choose my positive post to share something like that. I WILL VOTE FOR BARACK OBAMA. I am NOT an idiot. By the way, this teacher is 40-ish, white, lives in a red part of Florida, and is a huge NASCAR fan. So, you never know where O’supporters can be found. (Plus, she voted Obama in ’08.)
I’ll pass that on – she’s a spitfire and the kind of 5th grade teacher we’d all want our kids and grandkids to have in school. Each student in her class is like her own, and she “worries” about them when they go on to middle school. Oh, and, she’s a Navy brat – her late Dad (enlisted, band leader, great guy) was career Navy!
Yes, like you, he didn’t suffer fools gladly, either! He retired and moved to Florida – kept in touch with many of his fellow Navy Band members who also moved there – and also ran a fishing boat operation, so he was surrounded by his former shipmates and water, no matter what he did!
Sweet. I was “only” a civilian for 30 years, but I also loved working for the Navy all that time, being around other people who loved the sea! Only was on one USS Big Boat during my career, on a hosted tour, and remind me never to do that again (August, Norfolk, hot as blazes).

Romney to try to copy this scene by driving up one of his super expensive private jets in front of a RNC-paid and RNC-bused crowd in 3…2…1..
This great Lena Dunham video is driving the crazies nuts, meaning it’s working. Spread it!
This video is so cute. I don’t see why it’s so controversial.
Because “it’s working” – hate is often not founded in logic
Because it’s about sex, you know. Republicans love the rape, but hate the sex. Their heads explodes over this, which is good.
People not of this age group who found this video “controversial” have absolutely no idea what life in 2012 is for teenagers and young adults. What’s “controversial”about this ? wingnutz are breaking the peak crazification factor.
Peak crazification… LOVE THAT!! š
I’m afraid we have miles to go before we reach peak wingnut crazy.
Wow! Interesting there’s a hashtag #MyFirstTime with a bunch of uptight folks hating on this ad. Some folks you wouldn’t expect too.
And some pushback against the fogeys
What I don’t get is how the YouTube video has over 2K dislikes, over 1K likes but only 300+ views.
youtube locks the no.of views at around 300+ views to detect spamming. They will update the real numbers after two, three days.

Yes, and I don’t like Bri Wi’s initial framing of the campaign in terms of smaller crowds and people not as enthusiastic. That is FALSE.

Well, when you’re a top-notch candidate, you have a top-notch campaign, all around. The other guy? Not so much. In fact, not at all.
Yes, his brilliance has attracted the best and most creative minds. And then there’s all of us!
Yes, our collective, creative minds recognize brilliance when we see it!

I find it very funny how the media changed their tune on the Romney “faux mentum”. š
Not so fast, his Team is still really pushing we are ahead Meme.
Like Plouffe said, one of us is bluffing.
But the media seem to be saying the oppositeof the Romney team and calling him out.
