Yes, I noticed that as well, but I can’t help but think these undecideds have a little problem with facts, and I also think they like to steal centre stage in an election. I mean…if they are so undecided why haven’t they done their homework. it would seem to me that if I was an undecided it would be because I actually didn’t listen or read anything about this election and the candidates.
What stretches longer than miles? I’m happily tipsy and can’t think of anything. Ha! Not really – I’m sober as a judge and loving our President more than ever.
ALWAYS, Jackie4O, Always! The man knows what he’s talking about, which is way more than can be said about Mitt. Throughout this campaign I haven’t noticed one area in which MittR was particularly good – except in lying! The man has not managed to expose one area of strength!
I still cannot understand why Romney has not fallen flat on his face. It is so clear that the President can run rings around him in intelligence honesty and compassion.
Thanks to all of you for your wonderful comments. I despise the Mitt so much, I cannot stand to watch, but reading your comments, I feel as if I were watching, in fact, your comments are so great, it is probably better than watching. I am so relieved this is over and our wonderful POTUS never has to be on the same stage with that pathological liar again!!!! Airbrushing history…..I love it!!!
And thank you Chips. From the bottom of my soft, warm, liberal heart. I love you and TOD! I am comfy, my blood pressure is not elevated, my wine is still cold and I feel great!
No matter what, that’s the last debate for both of them. Next election will have 2 new nominees. President Obama is pure leadership & character. You feel very secure with him at the helm. Van Jones said one time, PBO took the wheel of the titanic after it hit the iceberg, I think he saved the entire ship and steered it all the way home!
It’s very telling that Willard didn’t want to go there on Libya. He didn’t want no parts of it, which just proves that he used the tragedy solely to gin up a political talking point. Major FAIL.
Yeah, what happened to that subject?—-all pundits salivating pre-debate about this subject which was supposed to be the big contentious item, troubling for Obama, they were hoping——-and it was more of a pfffftt, a nothing.
As far as I’m concerned Romney lost before the debate begun, by choosing Bush’s FP/ Military team for his advisors. Glad the President Continued to call out Romney on his lies and constant flip flopping. How can a man who has investments in Iran and China be trusted to handle these countries. With Mitt his wallet comes first, America always comes second.
My fave part was definitely the “we have less horses and bayonets too” response. And I was also fond of Scheiffer saying “We all love teachers”—-in a bit of a mocking of Romney’s repeated insistence that he loves teachers. (even tho he doesn’t want to hire any and cut education funds)
OG, don’t sully your mind with the words of these idiots. They are the equivalent of paid Romney staff and not one word out of their mouth has any validity whatsoever. If you watch the recorded debate with a ten year old you would get a more intelligent perspective than listening to these two.
The media always get nervous when the president does their job for them, Mitt was once again exposed as a fake wishy, washy flip-flopper. Mitt whined about being attacked re: his investments in Iran & shipping jobs to China, but he never refuted what was said.
Wow…President Obama is straight up boldness in action. How BOLD is that for him and Michelle to not only step up in the middle of that freakin’ family reunion of the Romney family but for him to actually go up to Tagg and whisper in his ear. What did he say….hmmm…
Our President said to Tagg I just whop your dad, you want to take a swipe now?
No our Prez always take the high road because he recognizes this is what bullies do. No substance to their trash talking.
Our Prez is stressing education because our undecideds are demonstrating laziness in their research of the candidates especially at this hour of voting. They have not been paying attention. They have procrastinated about their future. Where have they been.
I am so proud of my president–a real leader, a true commander in chief who kept remembering the veterans who risked everything for their country. Willard was so phony it was actually impossible to stomach both the lies and he sanctimoniousness. I literally can not stand to hear that used car salesman voice or see that smirky red conman face again. And thank you, Mr. President for time and again calling out this little twerp who does not have the foggiest idea in the world how to be a world leader. He would do everything the president does except it would be better because it would be coming out of his nasty mouth? Oh please… And Mr. Hypocrite talking about China is just too much to take this late at night. I finally had to leave the room when he made his final remarks. Simply could not stand him.
I turned to the Bear’s game during Mitt’s closing. The Romney campaign knows that it can lie and get away with it, their base will forgive him anything. They so want their White House back, they don’t even care if Mitt builds car elevators in it with taxpayer money.
Well that’s good. Let’s hope this holds up after the MSM gets thru calling it. The CNN focus group of Florida undecided voters moved the bar when PBO spoke, especially his closing. They didn’t move it at all during Mitt’s delivery.
yep and I’m feeling mighty fine bout that. I was just trying to make a preemptive settle down for those who are easily swayed. Actually, I’m watching the Bears game, all is well in TOD town and in Chi town.
Our President of the United States showed us his Character, His Knowledge as Commander-In-Chief, His Steady Hand on the Wheel, and the World what a “Real World Leader” talks like, acts like, and looks like.
Please everyone, DONATE, DONATE, DONATE, and Help us Get Out The VOTE for him now. Lets go and win this thing. HZ
Happy and exhausted; glad the debates are over. Let the voting continue so that PBO can be through with the distraction of campaigning. Mitt needs to go home, lick his wounds and STFU.
I am totally with you, Ceb! These last two weeks must be focused on getting out the vote for the President. For me, I will pay no attention to the polls or the media pundits for the next fourteen days. The President had done his part, now it’s time for us to do our part to make sure he is re-elected.
SuperObama was on FULL display tonight! Robot shockingly agreed with my Prez a lot tonight, THANKS! :)…rethugs won’t like that. They’re pulling their hair out as i type :). But anyway, Obama knocked him out and he staggered the whole fight.
This is a take on one of the best moments of the night – when Obama responded to Romney complaining that the Navy has less ships now than it did in 1916 (at last – Romney’s been crowing on about it for months).
I missed the whole horses and bayonet thing (I was probably in the kitchen pouring more wine) but I love, love, love whoever deciced to use Mr. Ed to illustrate. He is my hero, my favorite, he makes me laugh and I love him. Thank you.
Line from the President that got me, right off: “America is the one indispensable nation.” And it didn’t seem arrogant to me; it seemed that he knows what responsibilities that entails. It’s not just a gift.
And, for the rest, there was the President and Commander in Chief… And then there was that other guy.
My husband, the Republican, thought it was a draw. To which I had to say, “What? Are you kidding?”
I also loved the part where Romney said our Navy has fewer ships than since 19-whenever. (As Charlie Pierce said this morning, something along those lines, “Just give me one nuclear submarine against all the ships from a hundred years ago, and I’ll be king of the Universe before lunch.”) And then Obama replied, “Yeah; we’re a little short of horses and bayonets these days, too.”
I thought it was a total wipe-out by our Pres… May he be so for the next four years.
President Obama was in steady command of this debate. He was absolutely presidential and gave a good account of himself and his administration. A great, well rounded performance.
Governor Romney on the other hand gave a rousing endorsement of President Obama’s foreign policy and strung together a series of empty and meaningless words just to kill time and avoid embarassment because he knew he was in way over his head! The end!
Now let’s go win this thing!
1) Comeback about the Navy and how it’s being modernized.
2) Comeback about trips abroad and how PBO spent his time in Israel rather than meeting with donors and fundraising.
Hi Guys,
I was too chickenshit to watch it. Looks like POTUS did well or MASTERFUL. Aside from winning on content, how was the optics? Did the president come across strong and in control of the debate? Will the SNL undecideds finally decide against the Liar Robot?
God, I so wish I had the nerve. I was trying to watch Game 7 but that wasn’t especially distracting since the Giants are ahead in a blow out. Thanks cookemom!
Trust me, you’ll be fine. If you don’t want to hear Mitt, hit the mute, but PBO is worth listening to. Actually, so is Mitt, cause he just showed his ignorance and PBO went all Mensa on him.
I thought PBOs remarks about the foreign trips and about him going to Israel really slam dunked Romney! Awesome stuff. President just finished off in great style!
Feel the same. It looked purposeful too—-whenever there was a bit of good news, they would immediately tweet—-well our poll is Bad News. It got to be weird and ridiculous—-almost as if someone was holding them hostage or bribing them.
I think the biggest zinger that will go down in American History within Presidential debates will be the idiot being schooled and chastised on war …horses, bayonets and just how stupid he is as to how this administration is so much smarter than a Romney world.
I havent read all of the comments on this new thread but I was very disturbed by how Ann Romney tried to hold Mitt twit from falling off the stage while shaking peoples hands. Did anyone else notice this? Has she become his SS? It’s like she is trying to get him off stage as fast as possible. This concerns me to what she said in her comments of “i’m worried about his mental well being”
In all seriousness this was very disturbing for me to watch. Not sure if she is in trouble or if mitt the twit is in trouble. She has a decease that couldn’t possibly hold him if he were to fall off the stage. I’m not sure who is losing their mind in this part of the end of the debate.
There’s nothing wrong with Mitt other than his anger issue, which Ann knows what that means. She and the boys will have a long ride home tonight. The one grandkid that stayed talking to PBO afterward is also gonna get a tongue lashing. He left gramps to go talk to PBO and gramps had to pull him away. It’s not gonna be pretty at the Robme home. He’s not mentally unstable, that’s what entitlement looks like.
When Pres. Obama went off on his riff about horses and bayonets and battleship, I nearly fell off the bed laughing. Pres. Obama was freaking amazing and I’m sure these folks thought so too.
Outstanding job by President Obama. I’m glad he didn’t let Mitt’s seeming passivity keep him from going HAM on his entitled ass. That was actually better than last week’s debate, and that was already amazing.
Our EXCEPTIONAL President was indeed Masterful. Please DONATE Folks if you can (I Did) Damn POTUS was fun to listen to & watch tonight, he knows his stuff so well… I think some folks were a bit surprised, because unlike us they don’t listen to him so frequently & thus are unware (thanks media) of his smarts about every subject under the sun.
Shit, I’m glad these damn debates are over. They are way too intense for me. Interestingly when I was canvassing on Saturday EVERYONE, even the girl who didn’t know what party Obama belonged to, wanted to talk about the debates. On the way home from work tonight I overheard two young people saying, “yeah, goin’ go home just chill and watch the debates”. It’s become way too big in the whole scope of things. I mean SERIOUSLY, after 4 years in office, what is there to debate about?? LOL, I guess Mitt incorrectly guessed battleships.
Thanks Chipsticks for this safe harbor for the Obama Navy. 🙂
Sometimes it’s best to just edit the post with something like ‘post removed’ that way everything stays in same order. Not certain whether there needs to be a switch for this edit to work but have seen that many times on other WP sites. And that’s precisely why they do that.
That was awesome! The president was masterful once again. I hope he made some minds up today and have a great fundraising night just like after the second debate.
What else did they expect him to do? He couldn’t tell the truth and say his foreign policy would mirror GWB’s and that he plans to invade Iran before the end of his first year in office, so his only option was to agree with PBO in order to try selling himself as a moderate. And, besides, his rhetoric on Libya had fallen into tiny pieces the last few days, so he really had nuthing, not nothing, nuthing.
I thought the same thing Lootenant. I was there in the 60’s when Iran was one of our allies and had their own navy. As a matter of fact, I went through Instructor Training with a few of those Iranian sailors in GLakes.
President Obama kicked ass tonight. I didn’t think he’d actually do better than he did in that stunning 2nd debate. Teach me. A great great night.
Oh, and I thought the way Mitt Romney was leaning over the stage shaking hands was gonna leave him falling over. Good thing his wife was behind him the whole time, I guess holding on to his belt or something. Dude looked sooooo awkward.
A clinc.
Clinic.
here!
w00t!
Watched on CNN…now on CSPAN…lines big on CNN for President Obama….they hated Mitt!!! I am blocked on twitter so I can’t tweet for a few hours.
Were you a Naughty Zoot on the Tweets? 😆 I have yet to land in Twitterjail. Must be doing something wrong.
Yes, I noticed that as well, but I can’t help but think these undecideds have a little problem with facts, and I also think they like to steal centre stage in an election. I mean…if they are so undecided why haven’t they done their homework. it would seem to me that if I was an undecided it would be because I actually didn’t listen or read anything about this election and the candidates.
http://cavalrymenforromney.com/ Obama Campaign bought this. HAHAHA!!! LOOK!
LOL thx DF I needed that so I wouldn’t barf at robme’s close. Our PBO was awesome!
CNN focus group is Florida undecideds. The bar moved up during PBO’s close, stayed flat during Mitty’s
What stretches longer than miles? I’m happily tipsy and can’t think of anything. Ha! Not really – I’m sober as a judge and loving our President more than ever.
Yes, Indeed, AMK! Romney suffered a humiliating defeat. He is just not ready for prime time on the world stage.
So, that’s done! Now we can wrap it up between now and Nov. 6! Bye Mitt!
Thank you very much, Ms Chips. You can turn down the floodlights now. 😉 Thank you much TODobots for the company.
Look at the mittbot brood swamping the stage. And the Obamas being gracious as ever to them,
Bob, didn’t get a chance to thank you, but I seriously admire your intelligence and quick wit. Hey Chips and all – you guys were awesome! As was PBO!
Thank you, Jennifer. We’ve got a great TOD team, for sure!!!
I am so proud of our President
ALWAYS, Jackie4O, Always! The man knows what he’s talking about, which is way more than can be said about Mitt. Throughout this campaign I haven’t noticed one area in which MittR was particularly good – except in lying! The man has not managed to expose one area of strength!

I would edit your comment to add ‘in the polls’ = ‘understand whey Romney has not fallen flat on his face in the polls….’
That was PBO and FLOTUS talking with the Hugger Guy!!
I was wondering if that was the hugger.
MYTH we know you want to be the President. But, we don’t want you to be.
MSNBC is just a pc of shit right now. I wil llisten for a bit more and then I am going to bed.
Turned them off, watching rerun of NCIS from 2011.
I have never seen Twitter fly like it is now!!!!
I am SO very proud of our President Obama. He truly is a man of honor. He did a masterful job tonight 🙂
LOL.
Yeah! I thought maybe he was talking about the trees all being the right height again!
ROFL
Someone mentioned that Mitt’s sweat was messing with his under eye makeup. It did look like something was pooling and bubbling up there.
On to Romney’s concession speech!
Agree
FLOTUS has changed fashion trends around our country, big time.
Clearly the President won. So, what’s everybody saying? I flipped on Homeland?
It’s interesting to see Repuke strategists spin shit.
November 7 th cannot come soon enough. Do you suppose Myth really believes he can be president? Is he so delusional?
PBO was super fantastic!!!. It was so easy for him. The Mitbot family seemed more friendly tonight. What’s up with that????
Schmidt is lying. Another Mitt showwed up tonight, POTUS was not giving ground on anything. It’s close because they can steal it. ev AL is so right.
It sure looked like teacher and student to me——-teacher and a struggling student.
Lovely!
Whatever y’all do, don’t bring any spin B.S. here. 😎
No problem. 🙂
Yes, I so don’t care what any of them think.
+1. Let’s post what our side is doing and saying now. Not the fucking proven liars and their media shills say.
Hey chips. Blog tyrant power please,
Roger that …. bring on the tyrant, big time!!!
I’m tyranting right now. Everyone? Any MSM GOP shill stuff brought here tonight will be deleted, so just don’t post it. Thanks.
I love tyrants. 🙂
And thank you Chips. From the bottom of my soft, warm, liberal heart. I love you and TOD! I am comfy, my blood pressure is not elevated, my wine is still cold and I feel great!
Love it when you are being fierce, Chips.
Love you, Chips. Without this site I would be even nuttier than I already am. Thanks.
Was Tagg apologizing to POTUS?
Or FLOTUS? I get all of the dead-eyed Romney “kids” mixed up.
I said the same thing on the last thread Meta. I think he was.
PUNK.
PBO probably walked up to him and said – Oh, Tagg, please don’t hurt me!
Or “Try that again and I will pound your skinny evil ass into the ground.”
yea i think so, seemed like it to me…he takes after his father…they speak first then think…UGH
That is what it looks like to me.
SLOTUS cracked me up!!
bah ha! Love it!
….
We don’t care what David Gregory, Chuck Todd, or any of the other pundit asses say. This is a no-spin zone tonight. 🙂
Yup, PoliticalJunkessa.
Eve right winger slime Bag Brent Bozell’s Tweet confirms it.
Bad news for Romney: Poor performance, and lack of vision. Good news for Romney: No one knows; America had been put to sleep.

2nd!
I took my puppy out, she had been whining for awhile. 🙂 I just couldn’t look or listen to him another minute.
Why do the Repubs keep putting up idiots for high office?
Rev Al just brought up Romnesia, LMAO!!!
InTrade doesn’t agree:
Well that’s good. Let’s hope this holds up after the MSM gets thru calling it. The CNN focus group of Florida undecided voters moved the bar when PBO spoke, especially his closing. They didn’t move it at all during Mitt’s delivery.
All that matter is what we say. All pundits are irrelevant. We are the media.

Aye Lootenant. The whale was harpooned fair.
Such an enjoyable evening, sailor. PBO defending humanity and all of us together supporting him!
#FORWARD
All ahead flank!
yep and I’m feeling mighty fine bout that. I was just trying to make a preemptive settle down for those who are easily swayed. Actually, I’m watching the Bears game, all is well in TOD town and in Chi town.
now how did this comment get way down here? It was a reply to Bobfr up there. Hey Bob ( waving up a few comments in my best yoo hoo wrist toss}.
Yup. They are all over the place. This happens when the blog tyrant is forced to delete posts.
So the Iron Fist is ever diligent and on the case. I knew those yellow boots would kick some azz.
I don’t know about Iron Fist. He wears a sash. Very 1916 to me.
Isn’t that why they call them sashbucklers?
I like Old Iron Fist, LL. He’s a cool dude. LOL

Superb work by Buzzfeed.
This is a take on one of the best moments of the night – when Obama responded to Romney complaining that the Navy has less ships now than it did in 1916 (at last – Romney’s been crowing on about it for months).

BAM.
The CBS snap poll says Obama won.
53 – 27%
7:53 PM PT (Jed Lewison): CBS snap poll says it’s a clear victory for Obama:
53% for Obama, 23% for Romney, and 24% call it a tie.

Check out the CSPAN replay coming up soon. It’s one of those things you should see firsthand. Especially now that you know how the story ends.

PPP has been pppissing me off for a few weeks. It’s about time they stop tweeting crap on top of good news.
Feel the same. It looked purposeful too—-whenever there was a bit of good news, they would immediately tweet—-well our poll is Bad News. It got to be weird and ridiculous—-almost as if someone was holding them hostage or bribing them.
Pres. Obama CRUSHED Romney. Towards the end of the debate, Romney began losing his mind in real time. It was stunning to watch.
I think we watched a real time melt down.
Bob! Shazam! Right in the kissah!
Bob! Ouch! 🙂

That! was a thing of beauty and a joy forever! A real honey of a response!
A classic born tonight…..and I WAS THERE!
Who’s gonna screw who?
PBO knocking Willard out; Chicago leading Detroit 13-0; Giants leading St. Louis 7-0. Not too bad (although I do like both Detroit and St. Louis 😆 ).

Gov. O’Malley apparently just tweeted that Mitt is “a total charlatan.” Gotta go find it and R/T. Can you R/T 20 times? Ha!
Um, wow.
RT @Sarah_Boxer WHO WOULD DO A BETTER JOB ON NATIONAL SECURITY? @CBSNEWS poll: 64% say Obama wins, 36% say Romney wins
I SURRENDER, WP.
CBS- 53-23 Obama won!
Here I am Tagg. What? You didn’t say that? You lie like your father then!
lol! 🙂
Of course, it’s the camera angle, but looks like President Obama is in his face.
And Obama saying “are you ready to go asshole?”
To which Tagg replies ” no, no Mr President, I’m suffering of Romnesia”
Outstanding job by President Obama. I’m glad he didn’t let Mitt’s seeming passivity keep him from going HAM on his entitled ass. That was actually better than last week’s debate, and that was already amazing.
Spot on!
Yes!
A friend just emailed:

“@ppppolls: We have a post-debate poll running in the swing states and Obama was the clear winner- we’ll have the full numbers soon”
I donated too.
woohoo, hopefully a whole lotta folks donated tonight 🙂
Tweet from Students for Obama:
RT @CBSNews: BREAKING: CBS NEWS INSTANT POLL Who won the #Debate? OBAMA: 53%; ROMNEY: 23%, TIE: 24% (Margin of Error: 4%; Sample Size: 521)

O-B-A-M-A-/-B-I-D-E-N 2-0-1-2!!!!
Barack Obama sunk Mitt Romney’s battleship! – John Kerry.
Gotta love it!
This is what we call a CRUSHING.
CNN’s focus group tore Romney a new one. They are NEGATIVE on him.
@ppppolls: Swing state voters say Obama won the debate 53-42, and are planning to vote for him 51-45

The USS TOD guided missile destroyer!
Yeah!
Why does deleting posts screw up, well, posts? Why, WP, why?!
Sometimes it’s best to just edit the post with something like ‘post removed’ that way everything stays in same order. Not certain whether there needs to be a switch for this edit to work but have seen that many times on other WP sites. And that’s precisely why they do that.

I like this.
Awwww. 🙂
So many of us have a deep personal connection with PBO. He’s larger than life.
That was awesome! The president was masterful once again. I hope he made some minds up today and have a great fundraising night just like after the second debate.
John Kerry said something like, ‘Romney didn’t have his binder of foreign policy with him’.
This was taken off earlier. I meant no offense I just thought it was great.

Maybe I am doing it wrong. Someone help me out.
I love it
PBO 60.66% Romnesia 39.34% don’t know how many voted tho
lol some republicans are angry saying that Romney was immitating PBO’s policies way too much.
What else did they expect him to do? He couldn’t tell the truth and say his foreign policy would mirror GWB’s and that he plans to invade Iran before the end of his first year in office, so his only option was to agree with PBO in order to try selling himself as a moderate. And, besides, his rhetoric on Libya had fallen into tiny pieces the last few days, so he really had nuthing, not nothing, nuthing.
because he definitely did. My take away is NOW Romnesia would do everything PBO does but he’d be louder about it. lol
We’ve got so much WIN. Pres. Obama is freaking AMAZING.
I thought the same thing Lootenant. I was there in the 60’s when Iran was one of our allies and had their own navy. As a matter of fact, I went through Instructor Training with a few of those Iranian sailors in GLakes.
lmao
POTUS pronounces sure very strongly. I say “sher” and he pronounces it “shore”. Love it!
DU has such high traffic, they were forced to shut servers down…
Crap, I’m in twitter jail.

CNN was 48-40 Obama!
New post everyone:

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! HOLYFUCKINGSHIT!!
