Aside from all the rest of the ridiculousness that Mitt said tonight (see dudette Tweet above) I think that one thing shouldn’t be overlooked…and that is Mitt’s outright blatant unadulterated lie about the auto industry. I know it was supposed to be a FP debate, but everyone in the WORLD knows what Mitt said about the auto bailout. He lied to America’s face and even those that just might have given him a pass on all the other lies…I just get the feeling that this lie, was a bridge too far. If he lied when everyone knew, EVERYONE…then what would he do if he were President? I think shit just got real for some folks…..and the issue of integrity got clarified.

At a recent OFA gathering, we were asked to come up with one word to describe why we support President Obama. I had to answer first, and I didn’t hesitate at all. “Trust”. Tonight I feel that trust more strongly than ever. This is the President to lead us from economic disaster to renewed growth and security, to lead the country and the world in the 21st century with intelligence, integrity and compassion. I am so proud to be on his team.

Except for all the adult Robneys in that photo of PBO speaking with the little boy, (who hasn’t been brainwashed yet,) I really enjoyed seeing the smile on the little guys face, and how his eyes are all lit up, and I did notice, at the end, as hard as it is to see that ugly family swarming around Myth like he’s a hero, I swear that little kid wanted to have PBO hold him, then they passed him to the back of the circle, and away from the President. Kids just know, and this kid was no different from the others.

I don’t know the turnout in Wisconsin yet. It will be challenging to make many determinations about it as we do not register according to any party. I will be especially interested in turnout in Milwaukee and Madison — that is the early voting that will make the most difference.

    Chips,

I hope you can find the video post debate on MSNBC where Rachel Maddow goes into great detail about why it’s offensive, not that WILLARD changed his positions on Afghanistan and so many other things tonight, but that he denies that he had held those previous positions. Maddow’s rant was righteous and just so on point at the heart of it is Willard’s lack of character.

IF the ‘fashion police’ are as hard on Ann Romney as they were on Michelle Obama, she’s gonna sound just like her husband.

‘Waaaah, waaaah, waah, They are picking on me’

So. . . in the spirit of “you gotta be able to take as good as you give” here are a few words of advice for Ann’s “style”

      1. Dear, your hair looks like two totally different hairstyles on each side of your head.
      2. With all the money your husband makes, you couldn’t get a little nip and tuck around your neck?
      3. Please, please, PLEASE find a Mary Kay lady, your closet bobbi brown store, hell, even the make-up chart at the corner CVS. and learn where to put your cheek color. (or more accurately, teach your ‘girl’ how to apply your cheek color)

As always, I am soooooo proud of our President, his intellect, his poise, his strategy, I could go on and on. He absolutely HAS to win reelection so if there is ANYONE on this blog who is not currently volunteering with phonebanking, canvassing, etc PLEASE, PLEASE reconsider. He will win if we get out of the vote.

But as a US citizen I have to say I am also very sad at the state of our politics. These men are running for the most powerful position in the world. And we have a challenger who is utterly lacking in principle or morals, and will say virtually anything to get elected. And the worst part is that this race is close. It truly is a sad day for America given what we saw tonight.

sorry if I came out a little negative earlier.

PBO will clearly win I can’t see it any other way. Romney would be WWIII.

This is a seriously important observation by a commenter on TPV’s post-debate thread: http://www.thepeoplesview.net/2012/10/post-debate-open-thread.html#comment-689700141

Yes, excellent Tien Le..and Deaniac made another very good point. Everyone says that the FP debate doesn’t mean much…but this is the debate that people look to when they see if the candidate is worthy of being CIC. Romney failed and PBO showed the world why he IS the CIC!

Obama supporters are live tweeting the debate. Romney supporters are all ‘What’s twitter? I’m hungry. WHY HASN’T MY WIFE MADE ME DINNER??

I’m wondering if Willard actually listened to the President tonight and maybe learned something about foreign policy?

That skeleton with a swatch of eyelid skin probably has more wisdom and compassion in it than the real Ann Coulter. She’s vile.
