Bobfr You are quick on the draw! Congratulations! May I say how much I enjoy your tweets and am proud to retweet them!

    Ooh. Top 10 this afternoon.

Interestingly, I clicked on the link regarding the IBD/TIPP poll which took me to the Investor’s Daily website. As I moused over the tabs at the top up popped a rather nasty political cartoon accusing PBO of lying.

Last time Beyonce played ‘at last’ at the inaugural ball. I think this time she should play this song.

IT fits Barrack and Michelle so much.

Also followed the link to Forbes on this new book about how Democrats are good for the economy. Interesting! Also interesting is the sidebar showing that their article on the whole Ohio-Tagg-Romney-Bain-controlled-voting-machine mess has had +91,000 views!

Can you imagine if anyone in the Obama family, say Barack’s sister or Michelle’s brother, had anything to do with voting machines that were going to be used in the presidential election in all-important Ohio? There would be sirens blaring across the country.

3 dead, 4 wounded in today’s Wi. mass shooting. I believe the gunman is still at large. I read that Packer fans watching today’s game were treated to a NRA pac ad attacking Obama before the FOX affiliate cut away to updates on the mass shooting.

I could listen to Maya Soetoro-Ng talk about her brother for hours. I wish she would share more about her perspective watching her brother’s presidency unfold.

She is such a wonderful little sister and an accomplished person in her own right. Maya seems to have that deep calmness ans self-awareness that her big brother has. I always like watching and listening to her.

My spouse wants to know why a private ciitizen owns voting machines for a presidential or any elections in this country. Who are the programmers and how are they audited?

It’s an ignored story CK. Souls to the Polls is apparently taking place all over NC today. The media is in for a rude awakening on election night especially since NC has one-stop voting where you can register and vote at the same time. None and I mean None of those voters are in any polling screens. They are out there under the radar and it is a beautiful thing!

        October 21, 2012 at 5:28 pm

Yep if we keep this early vote up, MR cannot make up the difference on election day.

      • October 21, 2012 at 5:28 pm

        Exactly, Donna.

It’s just a thing of beauty to be watching all these folk in NC, NV, etc., who are doing the only ‘polling’ that matters – going the poll to vote!!! And, yes, these folk aren’t likely to be in any ‘screen’ etc 🙂

Richmond county is about 30 mins from where I am from in NC. As a matter of fact Richmond Senior High was my high school’s rivals. Woot! Woot! NC is fired up and ready to go!

And my gut tells me that y’all are gonna bring it home for PBO again this year as well!!!

        • October 21, 2012 at 5:46 pm

Donna I am telling you the enthusiasm among my friends and family in NC is actually stronger than in 2008. My 83 year old grandma said she was not waiting a week this time to vote early that she was going the first day. I have seen my friends from NC on their FB page saying they voted early and asking others have they voted or telling them they need to go vote. It is nice just to hear and see first hand accounts vs listening to pundits. I am telling you Romney has scared the crap out of people.

POTUS and Maya have such amazing voices. They’ve got voices for radio and faces for tv. I know their mother must have had a beautiful soothing voice as well.

Interesting twitter exchange this morning between @ChuckTodd and @Mckay Coppins (Buzzfeed). Sorry, Cookemom, I know you tire of our endless complaints about MSM, but @ChuckTodd is the absolute worst; worse than even “Dick” Halperin. He bascially admits he’s lying on TV, and will be through Nov. 6:

Todd: “If I were to make educated guess today, 4 closest states are FL/CO/VA/IA. Polling diffs are about turnout and early vote makeup”

Coppins: “@chucktodd If Ohio’s not on that list, that means Romney loses, right?”

Todd: “@mckaycoppins no but it’s harder for him.”

Coppins: “@chucktodd I’m not seeing a realistic path to 270 without Ohio. Certainly seems to have a better chance there than Nevada, for instance.”

“@mckaycoppins agreed. And I’d throw WI in there w/NV”

Isn’t this sweet and cozy? Team Romney had a friendly game of football on the beach in Fl. today against Team Press Which Is Supposed To Be Covering Him. They had a blast together. Isn’t that nice? And creepy?

So, the media refuses to accept an ice-cream from President Obama but they can play a physical game of football with Romney? I can’t wait for the whole lot of them to be crushed on Nov 6. I just can’t wait.

Hey I just realized the last debate is tomorrow. I wonder which mitt will show. Bet he’ll claim all PBO’s stances as his own then criticize PBO for not doing it fast enough or getting the ‘proper approval’ or uttering the very, precisely, correct phrase.

Should we do a pool? The “Which Mitt” Pool:

    1. adelson’s ‘champion of Israel’ chicken hawk mitt
    2. compassionate mitt
    3. the i rely on state personnel mitt
    4. bomb iran mitt
    5. elliminate palestinians mitt
    6. the palestinians need our help mitt
    7. the lets start at the previously agreed borders mitt
    8. lets not give an inch of ground in Israel mitt
    9. the sanctions need time to work mitt
    10. all of the above at any given time of the debate mitt?

I’m leaning toward number 10. (feel free to add any mitts i missed )

Winner gets dinner for one at burger world on their own dime. ‘Kay?

There’s another picture on the same link that shows the President on a conference call to discuss the shooting in Wisconsin. He’s always working. Makes me feel really lazy today – I’m making all sorts of excuses to sit at home on the internet and watching taped programs…

Just what do TeaNN Headline mean by that, ” Is Obama the wrong kind of Christian?

        • October 21, 2012 at 7:44 pm

Here’s the ‘tease’ from the article.
He’s been called the anti-Christ. But Obama is a “different” kind of Christian, progressives say — one who’s challenging the religious right’s grip on the national stage.

Apparently the article is really pro-Obama, saying that his kind of progressive Christian is challenging the dominance of the religious right. They just chose to put up this stupid headline. So most people seeing the headline, but not reading the article will get entirely the wrong idea.

    President Obama’s Undeniable Record

    By LOLGOP

    ——————–

Only a Democrat could prevent a Depression, end a war, capture and kill Osama bin Laden, double the Dow — and then hear constantly that he can’t run on his record.

If President John McCain were seeking a second term with these undeniable accomplishments, the GOP would skip the campaign and spend the money on carving his grimace into Mt. Rushmore and onto the dime, while renaming every federal everything in America after the man.

In 2004, after George W. blew the surplus, didn’t prevent 9/11, let bin Laden get away at Tora Bora, and invaded the wrong country, Republicans still proudly ran on that record. Of course, that was before Bush tried to privatize Social Security, gave up on his Orwellian terror alerts, and let New Orleans drown, driving his approval rating down to Nixon-during-Watergate-era levels. Since Herbert Hoover, has any president had a worse tenure? But who said, “George W. Bush can’t run on his record!”
