      Hello Amk!

This is a great ad. John Glenn is revered in Ohio and his words will resonate with the voters there. I’m so glad he did this ad.

Remember everyone, O-H-I-O is our firewall. We win there and its ovahhhh for Romney on election night.

Hi donna. Yes, that was a classy ad (which the thugs never seem to produce) and I am glad that is playing in one of the most crucial states.

I agree, this one is absolutely AWESOME. It can reach a lot of independents. Seniors too. Mr. Glenn exudes gravitas and honesty. ANd don’t you love it when he says, talking about Pres. Obama, “he MEANS what he says” ?!!! We all know it’s meant to allude to Romney’s flip-flopping ha ha… The clips of President Obama are great too: an active, serious and warm president who’s rebuilding America. The “president of the people” !

A couple of beautiful positive ads in the same day. Yessssssss !

Just bringing this over from the last thread –

Hi everyone, wondering if anyone can help with this?

An occasional poster here got in touch to say a friend’s son has recently been posted to Afghanistan and because he collects postcards his girlfriend had the idea of trying to get one sent to him from every state. She’s about 10 short of her goal – these are the missing states:

    New Mexico
    Rhode Island

If anyone from one of those states would like to send him a card, just email me and I’ll put you in touch with the person who contacted me.

    Thank you!

Update – we have a Washington postcard sender, so we’re down to nine states!

From this morning’s Latino Decisions polling update:

ImpreMedia & Latino Decisions released the latest in a series of tracking polls today revealing support for President Obama slipped from 72% last week to 67% this week, suggesting that his debate performance also led some Latino voters to re-evaluate the President. Those who said they are certain to vote for Romney increased slightly from 20% last week to 23% this week. When asked how important the presidential debates are, 76% of all Latinos said a candidate’s performance in the presidential debate was important in how they evaluated a candidate. …

When asked if they thought Democrats were doing a good job of reaching out to Hispanics, 53% said yes compared to 65% a week ago, again suggesting the President’s debate performance impacted support for the Party as well. However, there have been no signs of improvement in perceptions of the Republican Party with 17% saying the GOP was doing a good job of outreach to Hispanics.

Obama’s smaller, post-debate lead is still 8 points larger than his victory margin with Latinos in 2008, when he bested John McCain, 67 percent to 31 percent. That 8 percent comes out of the Republican side of the poll –

So PBO dropped by 5pts, 3 of which went to Willard. So it’s likely that he will get back at least the 2% who didn’t go to Willard, bringing him to 69% and giving him a victory margin that is 10 pts higher than his 2008 margin.

Me too. We don’t gopolitico shite here anymore jovie. Not this close to the election.

And No, we don’t need to know ‘what the other side is thinking and doing’. That whole article was pure bs.

I don’t understand voters who base their opinion on one debate. Where have they been the last four years? Have they not witnessed what PBO has done and the shitload he was handed? How can they even prefer a dishonest, coreless person like Romney? I’ll never understand how people’s minds work!

Please do not flog ARG polls! They have no credibility or accuracy. Electoral-Vote.com refuses to even list them because they are so bad.

      October 15, 2012 at 11:58 am

This has to be the most over-polled election in history, so much so, the polls have become the “news”. In the meantime everyone is ignoring Romney’s lies, and his Bain money from China. You should not pay attention to any of the polls, because of the over-saturation of polls, they are useless at this point.

This is from ARG. They’re crap. They’re a well known GOP organization with no credibility and no accuracy. Their methodology is beyond laughable.

As our president said earlier this year, sending the GOP/MSM into convulsions: “The Private Sector is doing fine.” And unlike some persons in the Republican party and in the media, our President’s statements are always borne out by FACTS.

Good Morning TOD Family! I early voted this morning with my daughter, husband, sister-in-law and mother-in-law. We arrived @ 7:55am. There was approximately 15-20 people ahead of us. It was a very diverse crowd which was nice to see. We left the polling precinct @ 8:30am. The poll workers were majority AAs. My family and I are extremely happy we voted to re-elect President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden! #FORWARD

Dear TODobots, I’m waaaay over my head with retweet thanks so I’m opting for a short cut. My thanks are no less sincere for being all addressed together in this tweet. In fact I feel very fortunate to have had so many retweets this past weekend that I can’t answer in my usual way. Thank you, and your contacts, for the feeling that we are working as a team.

Ok, Chips, your play husband Wayne Rooney really has some, um, issues: A San Marino player asked for Wayne Rooney’s shorts and Rooney obliged.

I don’t even have words for that. Who’s worse: the player for wanting Wayne’s shorts, or Wayne for giving them?

“Every president inherits challenges, few have faced so many. Four years later our enemies have been brought to justice. Our heroes are coming home. Assembly lines are humming again—there are still challenges to meet, children to educate, a middle class to rebuild but the last thing we should do is turn back now.”

[Bob Cesca has an angst at MTP & Browkow]:

President Obama has CUT THE DEFICIT. Full stop.

As of 2013, the deficit will have been reduced by $300 billion from Bush’s final deficit of $1.2 triilion — $500 billion if you include the full 2009 $1.4 trillion deficit.

Report that, Tom Brokaw, if, in fact, you have any balls and aren’t caving to the nonsensical agitprop of the far-right “liberal media” horseshit. Report the truth for once. Just because the president hasn’t eliminated the deficit from the clusterfuck that Bush handed to him doesn’t mean he needs to “account for it.” Jesus H. Christ.

    Meet the Press is poisonous.

I was the 5th peron in line at the Dekalb County Tax Assessor’s office on Memorial Drive. Go OBAMA/BIDEN 2012. There has been a study stream of people coming in, especially young Black men. The pundits are writing them off, we will prove them wrong.

Nothing would make me happier than to see ALL the rw-leaning alleged ‘likely’ voter models blown out of the water. If our side voted consistently in the numbers that Republicans vote, we’d never have gotten in this mess. I don’t understand it. We let a small sliver of Americans choose the direction of the country. Outrageous.
