Why is CNN always so stingy with the audio? Anyone know? Are they saving money? They never air introductory speeches and cut it right as Obama is uttering last syllable.
CNN TV says they are going to air it, but that could mean the first 3 or 4 minutes.
I think it really is a bandwidth issue for them because they know, from monitoring connections, that PBO puts a big stress on their servers & network balancing …
I have to turn the volume up to the max. POTUS was right on tonight. Ain’t no rain going to stop him and I believe I saw the sun shine for a few minutes.
She certainly did. Sorry, but I took a short vacay up to the WI Dells where the wifii sucked and I got an earful of CNN and other rwnj b.s. God it’s good to be back. 😉
Thanks Dakota. I’m like a hamster on a wheel. I got over 200 e-mails while I was away in the woods. It’s good to be back……Now to those damn e-mails. ;-D
TY oh, master of our twitterverse! I don’t say it often, but you are a wonder to behold, & I appreciate your persistence and focus. To borrow a term I got from you #LANDSLIDE2012! 😆
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaardarm, great to see you back, the place has fallen apart without you (Hopefruit especially has brought it to its moral-less knees). Hope you’re well rested and ready to go?
Hell yes! Got back a bit early and have to slog thru a BUNCH of mail so I’ll be in and out for a coupla days. I’ve got to try and get my Obama groove back. You don’t get much news from the Left in central WI.
No, we’re quite divided, but we were slightly trending blue until 2010. Hopefully, we learned our lesson. 2004 we had the closest presidential outcome in the nation.
hilarious. the republican convention and a recent mittbot appearance were plagued by severe weather. mr. and miss rmoney have had plane problems. president obama brings rainbows. almost seems like the rmoney’s god wants president obama to win, doesn’t it?
This WI firefighter is on FIRE!!!! Excellent introduction … personal and plenty of relevant details that indicate that, yes indeed, President Obama has kept his word despite obstruction …
i still see a lot of people missing the point of why president obama is remaining strong in polling and likely to win easily again. many people, even among friendlies, still suggest it’s about having better “messaging” (such a nebulous term), or certain outside factors improving, or even the dreaded “rmoney is a terrible candidate!” which is a slippery slope into the “obama is so lucky” nonsense.
this didn’t happen by accident. president obama had the foresight and life-long lessons to create this scenario. and there isn’t a thing the republicans and their friends who own all the mainstream media can do about, no matter how hard they try. forward!!!
You are absolutely spot-on 4morefor44! I just came from phone banking here in San Diego, CA. Today we were calling folks in Colorado. This was a small OFA office in SD, but it was highly organized. I was very impressed with the way all our phone calls were automatically logged in the central data collection. Today our specific emphasis was on making sure that people in CO who did not vote in the 2010 election were registered. We gave them information on how they can register online. At the same time we were able to collect data about those who were strongly for the president, those who were leaning, those who were still undecided, and those who were pro-Romney. The next phase will concentrate on two fronts: making sure that those who strongly support the President as well as the leaners get out and vote; and, persuading the undecideds to support the President. I am very impressed with OFA!
does c-span ever cut away to wide crowd shots? the crowd sounds huge and is going crazy loud, and they just stay on the angle showing the president. you never see the crowd. is this standard for them, or are they trying to keep this from the viewers?
My President is NOT damn playing anymore now. He’s pissed, especially after how Univision treated him and let themselves be played by Willard. It’s game on now and My President is in the last quarter…Doggoneit!!!
Did you see or hear about the back-to-back Q & A townhalls (one with Romney, the other with PBO) that Univision hosted on Thursday?
All the TODers who saw it live got the impression that the moderators were very aggressive and even hostile to PBO. They kept attacking him repeatedly with a “you broke your promise” with regard to immigration reform. He gave them a very detailed, sensible explanation as to why he didn’t accomplish immigration reform in his first term, and referred to the GOP in congress and their obstructionist behavior, and the moderators just kept going at him with this accusation.
They also questioned him about Eric Holder and Fast & Furious, a GOP witch hunt issue that should not have been part of that forum at all.
On the other hand, they softballed Romney, joked with him, allowed him to get away with lies, and let him stack the audience with his bused-in supporters who ignored forum rules, and booed at the moderators whenever questions that they didn’t like were asked.
I will refer you to this buzzfeed article which came out today, and had us all, including PBO supporters on Twitter and the liberal blogosphere up in arms about how Univision basically enabled Romney and allowed him to dictate the format and the rules of the forum to his advantage without letting the viewers know what was up. You will not leave this article with a good feeling about Romney or Univision.
Remember, the forum was not organized by the Hispanic community.
It was hosted by a corporate TV network that happens to be geared toward Spanish-speaking individuals. The CEO of Univision is former CEO of AOL. He has no vested interest in the welfare of Hispanics but he caters to the RW agenda which is typical of all corporate media outlets.
The two people moderating are likely in the 1%, and have their corporate matching orders in front of them, just like the pundiots we see every day on cable TV.
classic rethug attitude: hey, latinos, i want your money so i’ll hablo your espanol, but that sure doesn’t mean i respect you, care about you, or have any plans to benefit you in this enterprise.
this crowd is craaaaaaazzzzy good!! sounds like tammy baldwin has been kicking butt already, and now this today has got to help her immensely. so smart for president obama to visit wisconsin.
bwhahaha! “what kind of ‘inside job’ is he talking about?!?” -PBO in regard to rmoney saying he’ll change washington “from the inside.” oh man, he’s amazing!!
the debates are going to be delicious. mittbot will be non factor by then. president obama will be destroying the entire republican ideology in those debates, regardless of the propagandists posing a moderators. it will be amazing. he is more dialed-in now than i’ve ever seen anyone. forward!!!
Was it at the Congressional Black Caucus is where we saw the podium slap for the first time. ? Remember he scolded them, or was that a different event ???
I love when PBO change his stump speech around. Today seem like it was all new, but he said the same. I really enjoyed it. I wonder how many people were there?
So totally agree COS! I really, really love the way PBO tweaks his speech for each audience yet shares a consistent message. It adds a naturalness to the delivery that his opponent would have a heard time matching. It also shows he knows the topic about which he speaks, … intimately.
CNN is streaming …
Moreover ….
Why is CNN always so stingy with the audio? Anyone know? Are they saving money? They never air introductory speeches and cut it right as Obama is uttering last syllable.
CNN TV says they are going to air it, but that could mean the first 3 or 4 minutes.
CBS is also low on the volume.
I think it really is a bandwidth issue for them because they know, from monitoring connections, that PBO puts a big stress on their servers & network balancing …
dotster3, I thought that was only happening with me.
I have to turn the volume up to the max. POTUS was right on tonight. Ain’t no rain going to stop him and I believe I saw the sun shine for a few minutes.
Nope. I had to jack mine to the max.
YARDARM!!! Welcome back shipmate 🙂 We missed you -did Chips tell you?
She certainly did. Sorry, but I took a short vacay up to the WI Dells where the wifii sucked and I got an earful of CNN and other rwnj b.s. God it’s good to be back. 😉
yardarm….welcome back….missed your commentary…((huggs))
Back atcha pretty.
Welcome back! We missed you much!!!
Thanks Dakota. I’m like a hamster on a wheel. I got over 200 e-mails while I was away in the woods. It’s good to be back……Now to those damn e-mails. ;-D
Congrats on 1st, Bobfr!
Hold on! Hold on, Bobfr! Save a spot for the less swift! 😆

OH
Hi, GCL! Happy Saturday p.m.
Been gone a while. Can I get in on this? If so, Yardarm from IL.
Better late than never: Pamela from MD, Montreal, Banff, Sydney, AND Seattle!
Is Wisconsin mostly pro-Obama?
Went for him in 2008 by a good margin.
Even during the Scott Walker recall, folk being exit polled preferred PBO by a significant margin 🙂 It’s only gotten better, since ….
No, we’re quite divided, but we were slightly trending blue until 2010. Hopefully, we learned our lesson. 2004 we had the closest presidential outcome in the nation.
PBO is 51 to 45 for Romney currently in Wisconsin
CSPAN One TV is also carrying our President’s speech live at 6:40PM
But it will start sooner. Being introduced now.
They just switched to it now.
Tagg Romney must have been smoking something.
i guess they’re replacing miss ann now with brag r-money, because they need to, you know, humanize myth. how’s that working for ya, rethugs?
That apple didn’t fall far from the tree.
What is it that Tagg had to say?
hilarious. the republican convention and a recent mittbot appearance were plagued by severe weather. mr. and miss rmoney have had plane problems. president obama brings rainbows. almost seems like the rmoney’s god wants president obama to win, doesn’t it?
People on Twitter are saying there was also a rainbow when he campaigned in WI in 2008!!
This WI firefighter is on FIRE!!!! Excellent introduction … personal and plenty of relevant details that indicate that, yes indeed, President Obama has kept his word despite obstruction …

i’ve long said all that other stuff, sure can have some impact and be helpful or not, but the main reason president obama was always going to win no matter who the republicans put up was because O.F.A. And here’s a perfect example of why i’ve always felt that way:
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/09/22/1135270/–Obama-s-Ground-Game-Will-Make-2008-Look-Like-Jurassic-Park-Here-s-Your-Ground-Game
this didn’t happen by accident. president obama had the foresight and life-long lessons to create this scenario. and there isn’t a thing the republicans and their friends who own all the mainstream media can do about, no matter how hard they try. forward!!!
True, 44!!! very true ….
Well said 4more. That is so true!
THISSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!…
WE ARE THE CHANGE THAT WE HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR!
You are absolutely spot-on 4morefor44! I just came from phone banking here in San Diego, CA. Today we were calling folks in Colorado. This was a small OFA office in SD, but it was highly organized. http://twitpic.com/axdls4
Wow
does c-span ever cut away to wide crowd shots? the crowd sounds huge and is going crazy loud, and they just stay on the angle showing the president. you never see the crowd. is this standard for them, or are they trying to keep this from the viewers?

PBO…we can do all these things,,,but i need your help…i need you to vote….
PBO is on Fireeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!
My President is NOT damn playing anymore now. He’s pissed, especially after how Univision treated him and let themselves be played by Willard. It’s game on now and My President is in the last quarter…Doggoneit!!!
How did Univision treat him? I’ve missed something.
Did you see or hear about the back-to-back Q & A townhalls (one with Romney, the other with PBO) that Univision hosted on Thursday?

I missed all this, but I thought that PBO was ahead with Hispanics?why would they treat him that way? How upsetting.

Ok, that is good to know.

‘I know you’re getting wet, but I got one more thing to say’ …. crowd cheers!!!!!!!! 😀 😀
DAMN! Pres. Obama and the Wisconsin crowd are extra fired up. It’s pouring down rain and they don’t give a crap. Love it!
Those are my badgers!
I love my wet president!
🙂
I think he could stay there another hour or two or three and that crowd would be shouting and cheering the entire time …
bwhahaha! “what kind of ‘inside job’ is he talking about?!?” -PBO in regard to rmoney saying he’ll change washington “from the inside.” oh man, he’s amazing!!
I would lover him to use the ” What you talkin bout Williard “
4morefor44
That was too funny. Of course MYTH is talking about his inside game for Washington

Now he’s eating #BainMitt’s lunch on the ‘inside job’ and the crowd loves it …
What is going on with PBO’s left hand? I have not seen it all through this speech…
Oh forget that. There it goes.
Alright, Obama is beautiful! Fired up for sure! He’s THE BEST at this as anyone I have ever seen!

Yep and Maxine Waters got her panties in a wad.

Holy BLEEEEP!
CBS live feed just started for the CBC dinner. I forgot to turn it off after PBO’s speech so was taken by surprise.
It looks like Mother Nature cast her early vote for President Obama in Wisconsin with a rainbow, some gentle rain followed by the warm sun 🙂
Heads up for Michelle Obama:
http://theobamadiary.com/2012/09/22/heads-up-michelle-obama-addresses-the-cbc/
A rainbow for my President in WI.. How lovely is that? Makes me want to hum a little Stevie Wonder…”there’s a ribbon in the sky….”
But enthusiasm gap, the debates the debates…
