Isn’t David Frum the one who came up with “axis of evil” for W? He keeps trying to jump into the light, but never quite comes all the way over. This is a good one, though, and I RT’d.

Check out the crowd, an hour before Biden takes the stage!

LOVE BIDEN. He’s so real, sincere, earnest and goofy. What more could you ask for?

Here is an example of how the media tries to manipulate it’s viewers and fool them.

MSNBC as part of their daily “We LOVE Romney” infomercial, posted a Quinnipiac poll taken in Colorado since back in Jul 31-Aug 6, showing Romney with a 5pt lead at the time. That lead has been since erased, and the current situation in CO is that President Obama now has a 3.4pt lead (rolling average from Real Clear Politics, which is a right-leaning outfit). That lead even EXCEEDS the lead he had in the first half of September 2008 when he was 1-3pts ahead of McCain.

Yet MSNBC refused to show or discuss any post-convention or September polls showing Obama in the lead in CO, and instead tried to pass this poll off as current in order to pretend that the Romney lead was still valid and framed their questioning around that particular poll.

This is an example of gross misinformation and disinformation. There is absolutely no excuse for that kind of reporting. None.

Maddening, and I agree it’s inexcusable. It’s like they’re all afraid of telling too much truth re. Obama’s advantage now. Lost of misleading going on, for whatever reason.

It is propaganda designed to make Mitt seem like a winner, instead of the loser he is in reality (it also fits into the narrative the MSM has been feeding the public since day one: PBO is perpetually in political peril). They see this election slipping away from Mitt, and will twist facts and outright lie to prop Mitt up and keep the race competitive. The MSM and GOP pretty much know that Mitt is toast, so they are attempting to stop this from becoming a landslide election with Dems taking back control of Congress. This is why the MSM/GOP are in damage control overdrive concerning Mitt’s Libya gaffe. As recent polling show, the GOP is having an enthusiasm gap as they get to know their candidate. Proof of the lack of GOP enthusiasm for me does not lay soley with the recent polling. Instead, I look at how Mitt is still attempting to solidify his base at this late date, rather than “moving to the middle” as every GOP presidential candidate had done at this time in the election cycle. The GOP tea party base is not big enough to win a national election (it is concentrated in southern states) and this base will not allow that move to the middle because they don’t TRUST Mitt.

I find the morning shows on MSNBC to be Right Leaning. I ignore them like I do FOX News. I don’t start watching till Martin Bashir. Reverand Al is totally supportive of PBO too.

Chris Matthews is all over the place. He seems on Obama’s side right now but that may only be because PBO has the Clintons and many Kennedys on his side. Ed Schultz is also reactionary and can be a good supporter or a person that the phrase “with friends like that who needs enemies” was meant for.

I find Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O’Donnell worthwhile watching due to their indepth reporting. Each can be focussing on their own agenda instead of supporting PBO, but they for the most part are supportive. Besides if we only want to watch supportive shows are we any better than those that follow FOX or Limbaugh?

        You nailed it. exactly.

what is particularly maddening about Alex Wagner — she really is a good progressive. She’s excellent on Bill Maher. But when she’s collecting her paycheck it’s a whole different story.

I made the mistake of turning on the TV this morning when Chuck Todd was on (does he have his own show? I hardly ever watch in the morning). Don’t know who his guests were, but one of them referred to President Obama’s “policies of apology and appeasement” in the course of talking about Romney’s latest screw-up.

Did Chuck stop the guy and ask for examples of exactly when the President had apologized or appeased?? Of course not. And he did not seem to hear me yelling at the TV.

Not a fan of Chuck’s — but I love Rachel, who must have the best research staff on television.

this is sickening, Andrew Sullivan on Sean Smith who died yesterday at the embassy and how Romney used him:

This is Sean’s friend talking about him:

Up and at ’em all you O’s!!!!!! Another great getting up day in TODdyville! Looking at the picture that heads this thread, it makes me wonder how it feels to have to wear POTUS appropriate shiny shoes and FLOTUS appropriate hairstyle, clothes, and make-up all the time. I wouldn’t be able to do it. They’d subject to catch me in sweats, flip flops, some kind of baseball cap (head scarf for fancy), or hair tied back with a scrunchie, and absolutely no make-up. I don’t think you’d find me in any fashion forward magazines. I appreciate her dedication to present herself so well on all fronts.

My political take today is I’m looking at Mittiful in Va. He has all women on the stage behind him, but still no wide angle shots. He’s trying to give condolences to the embassy casualties and the dummies in the crowd are over shouting him. So Mitt says, I would do a moment of silence, but there’s a gentleman in the crowd who wants to keep talking so I’ll just not do that. Then he goes into his stump speech. He talks about how Lech Walesca (sp) told him that he was to ‘You sit and listen, I talk’. Somehow Mitt relayed that as a good thing. The wanna be leader of the free world sits and listens on command. Then he talks about being able to conduct multiple wars at the same time. Did I mention that I’m considering sending Mittiful a thank you card.

‘…I’m considering sending Mittiful a thank you card.’

CK: Would you mind adding this line with my name – ‘Mitt, I for one appreciate your honesty in showing EXACTLY who you are so that the American people can choose wisely on Nov. 6.’ VC

I don’t want to send him a card of my own – too cheap- but since you are leaning that way, I don’t mind helping you get the most out of the money you paid for it. 😛

No problem. A great lady once said something about politics revealing who you really are. We certainly see this in the Mittiot. I don’t want to send the card too soon, cause I’m sure he has some more stupid in him.

For some unknown reason I got a Republican survey in the mail awhile back. I decided to fill it out as an Obama supporter. I used insulting terms and everything was marked the extreme opposite than what they wanted to hear. In the donation portion I wrote in that I would never in my life ever vote for another Republican. I sent it all on their postage paid stamp. Then I received a signed photo from Mitt Romney. Bleah…. I decided to put it in my ’12 campaign Obama scrapbook for the opponent though. His campaign is so stupid they keep sending me donation requests. I keep sending back an empty envelope on their own postage. The postmaster gave me a bad time about my getting Romney mail. I told him the story and he laughed shaking his head. We are on the same wavelength about Obama but he cannot talk about it publicly. Our conversations stop as soon as anyone walks into the post office. I gave him some Obama buttons he could wear on his own time and an Obama postcard with PBOs picture that I painted on it in ’08. We are Obama buddies.

To paraphrase: [being President] doesn’t change who you are, it reveals who you are.

Mitt & Eddie Munster are the most dangerous pair to get anywhere near the Presidency.

Yes, that’s exactly how I feel. It’s how I try to greet each day, uplifted and positive. I believe there’s good news in all things, at all times, even when it seems hard to keep on moving forward. I just try to spread a little of that feeling around as we gather on the TOD porch.

VPBiden did a great job for all Americans in his speech. I love our VP. Tears coming down as he was speaking about visiting our military men and women all over the world. He was also talking about how we take care of them when they come back.

The tears came so strongly for me this morning because I had just got a second of Mitt opening up his event in VA., and he was disgraceful in his remarks about “the moment of silence.” This man has so heart. Really, I said it. His heart is Not right. We have to do everything in our power to get POB and VPBiden re-elected.

I am making calls today from my bed because I was a mess yesterday. But do not worry, just say a private prayer or word of goodness in your own personal way for me. I am strong, and I will not give up. It is just so painful at times. We are almost there. So much to get done, but we will get it done. We all have gotten things done that were really tough for us before.

(((((((((( We Have POB’s back, and we know he and VPBiden have ours. We see it daily.)))))))))))))))
