You know, even though we don’t think so, it will be argued about who has the best candidates, ideas, etc; but the one thing I dare them to argue about…..we play the best damn music at our rallies…..that was random but I just wanted to say it b/c it always makes me smile.

Oh yeah!!! That DeeJay was the absolute best!! The music had me cracking up. I know that folks were dancing all over that Convention! LOVED IT!! And the DJ had a sense of humor. For instance, he played Michael Jackson’s ‘Wanna be starting Something” when Rahm Emanuel walked on Stage.

I caught that ison! I burst into laughter when Rahm came out and that song played.
The DJ picked great music that represented each speaker perfectly. I’d love to see his playlist. 🙂

Yeah, ain’t that a trip!! Plus, I’ve been following Krispy Kreme’s sad because Bruce Springsteen won’t let him use any of the Boss’ music. HAHAHAHAHAHA Apparently KK has an encyclopedic knowledge and love for Bruce’s songs. It’s obvious that KK never actually listened to Bruce’s lyric.

    Good Morning guys!

    Romney Got a Negative Bounce

The Princeton Election Consortium finds Mitt Romney actually got a negative bounce coming out of his convention…

    Big Bounce Coming for Obama?

Nate Silver says tracking polls are pointing toward “a decent-size convention bounce” for President Obama and says it’s “unlikely, in fact, that the movement in the polls reflects statistical noise alone.”

“What’s a bit more worrisome for Mr. Romney is that Gallup’s reporting of the head-to-head results in its poll occurs over a lengthy seven-day window, meaning that only a minority of the interviews in the poll were conducted after the major speeches at the Democratic convention. In fact, most of the interviews in the poll were conducted just after the Republican convention in Tampa, Fla., a period in which Mr. Romney should have been enjoying a convention bounce of his own.”

i’m not going to get too excited by this trending yet. seems like they’re already setting up their next false narrative to justify their weighting changes to the polls, so polls can magically show the mittbot gaining steam next week. they say it’s because “the disappointing jobs numbers.” of course, none of “the news” will report that this latest jobs report from bls is approx 370,000 more jobs than august bls in 2008, so the answer to “are we better off than 4 years ago” is a resounding yes!! in every way one tries to slice and dice it. so naturally again, a mittbot gain in polls by monday. ignoring them is the best strategy. we know what they’re going to do.

We need to translate ALL those beautiful faces into votes. This is a weekend of action. I made calls for 8 straight hours yesterday. It was a great honor to represent President Obama. One young Republican man said he had changed his vote to the President because he was able to refinance his home sving $400/mo. He thanked the President and will vote for him in November. That is what CHANGE looks like.

Thank you for your long weekend of calls! I have had those conversations myself….people can actually feel first hand what his programs have done:) The best thing we can all do when making our calls is to listen…and then tailor the conversation and FACTS around their concerns. I had one Republican agreeing with me so often, that he decided to volunteer for PBO:) Took me 45 minutes of talking (NOT a problem!) but I did it! He was fired up, ready to go!! Nice job, fisher:)

I think the media is about to have its worst nightmare realized: a race which is increasingly beyond the reach of them to affect. If we take what Nate Silver says about Gallup’s rolling poll — that most of the data is from before the major speeches at the DNC — then PBO is about to get a bounce of major proportions. Such a bounce, this close to November, would be almost impossible to surmount. Factor into this the fact that Romney would have to have the planets align in order to overcome Obama’s EC advantage, and we have the beginnings of a landslide.

This is NOT to say that we can be complacent. We have to work and donate as if we were down by 4 points. There’s still the little matter of wresting control of the House from the GOP, and keeping the Senate so that we can undo the archaic fillibuster rules. But, that being said, success builds on success, and I’m the type of person who gets spurred on by good news.

This is NOT to say that we can be complacent. Yeah, and the HUGE matter of Re-thugs rigging the vote and suppressing voter turnout.

Pundits and reporters who say our convention was NO Game Changer are stupid fools.

Kos is reporting on twitter that so far the President has gotten a bump from Rueters/Ipos, Raz and Gallup tracking polls. His approval rating is now 52-42 on the right leaning Gallup. Now check this out in comparison….

The Princeton Election Consortium finds Mitt Romney actually got a negative bounce coming out of his convention.

It was the best convention I’ve ever seen, It was funny, spontaneous while being remarkably disciplined and our fact based speakers blew the doors off anything the GOP had in Tampa. The enthusiasm just kept growing. Dems came in at a fever pitch and took it to the next 20 levels. People didn’t want to leave the hall.

They know it was a game changer.

Hmm, so Ann Romney will be on MTP with Mittens tomorrow.

Not that I expected any hard-hitting journalism from David Gregory, but we can surely NOT expect anything now, unless Gregory has the balls to ask Romney hard questions even if Ann is sitting next to him.

But I doubt. I expect softball questions from David and then having all the MSNBC crew, yes even Rachel Maddow and Ed Schultz, all saying how Gregory did a “hard-hiting” interview.

I expect nothing less than the worse from Gregory..ugh

Like others have said, the boy with the handmade Kids love Obama sign really touched my heart. Kids sense that this is the president who will build their futures. THEY need him to get enacted all his proposals which will build the country, and by so doing build a good future for them. Kids are not influenced or bought by the Koch brothers or other corporations. They see the real deal.

I just realized something. After 911, the trauma was so great that we needed a stimulus. Then we needed another tax cut. Then even 7, 8 years later there were Repubs saying we needed time to have the economy recover because of 911. They could use 911 as a prop to shove through their destructive policies and continue to use it as a prop for all of W’s two terms. But PBO is supposed to fix aglobal economic meltdown in a few years with no Republican cooperation and bear responsibility from Day One.

I remember in the GE campaign McCain and Obama did an interview with questions by a well-known pastor. I watched. They were both to receive the same questions and Obama went first. They said neither had seen the questions ahead. That was true for Obama but not for McCain. McCain had very short concise answers while Obama’s were somewhat long and rambling. Everyone said McCain won. It was later discovered McCain was listening to the entire Obama interview and forming his answers with his team. It was kind of played like he was in this sound proof room. Expect every benefit to go to the GOP in the debates and none to Obama. Lucky our guy can play without a handicap. (I’m trying to use golf analogy but don’t know anything about golf) Ha ha ha.

What ho TOD Peeps! Still basking in the afterglow of the DNC Convention and Miz. Chips’ spectacularly fantabulous coverage of same.

Off to phonebank today but checking in quickly to share this great article at Politicususa re the Myth of our illustrious Prez’ enthusiam gap and the Repugs’ “jihad against job creation”; such an appropriate description on the one year anniversary of the Pres’ attempt to get the Repugs to do their job and pass his American Jobs Act. Have a good day all… #FORWARD

    http://www.politicususa.com/mainstream-medias-obama-enthusiasm-gap.html

“But we never hear the media ask Republicans about their jihad against job creation. The media lets Republicans rattle their well-rehearsed talking points about blaming Obama for the economy and jobs, but they never ask why Republicans ran on jobs in 2010 and then never proposed one single jobs bill, and indeed killed Obama’s jobs bill — forcing Obama to break it down into little, itty, bitty parts so that Obama could at least force them into voting yes for jobs for veterans. They didn’t want to be on record as voting against jobs for veterans, but Republicans were happy to let the rest of America burn for their cause. By the way, the jobs bill for veterans has been exceptionally effective. Kinda makes you wonder how well the rest of the country might be doing if only Republicans had signed the actual Obama jobs act.”
