Ready to go?

Yet another TOD post that has been reblogged by Jueseppi B, despite requests that he make his own effort to support PBO rather than copying others simply to drive up his reblog’s traffic. He doesn’t take kindly to being challenged, as another woman found out: explicit. Genuine bloggers are welcome to use anything they ever see at TOD. Thanks

Once upon a time, a beautiful princess happened upon a frog in a pond.

The frog said to the princess, “I was once a handsome prince until an evil witch put a spell on me. One kiss from you and I will turn back into a prince and then we can marry, move into the castle with my mom where you can prepare my meals, clean my clothes, bear my children and forever feel lucky for doing so.”

That night the princess had frog legs for dinner.

    Yup ready to go,
Pres. Obama is consolidating his coalition, registering new voters to compensate for those lost in the last 4 years to apathy or voter suppression of drift. Romney is fighting to play an inside straight with White voters only, cuz he thinks they are the only ones he can pitch his garbage to. Isn’t that insulting to White voters anyway? Appealing to assumed racial grievance rather than win them with a forward-thinking message like Pres. Obama is trying to do?

As Ron Brownstein’s column said today. Romney needs 61% of white voters to win cuz of the many minority and women voters he has lost. He’s currently got 53% of white votes. The strategy is so sickening. it truly is their last chance to destroy this country as they wish and they can smell the demographic time bomb so much they are raving mad to steal power by any means necessary.

:Let us with determination show them that their religion of HATE is not gonna win them elections. Let’s work like our very breathing depends on . And in many ways it does.

OUR GOAL: Pres. Barack Obama the Victor announced at 11:00 PM EST on Nov 6 2012. Democratic congress elected to return sanity to this country’s governance.

With President Obama’s re-election, and Harry Reid and Nancy Smash back with their respective gavels in their hot little hands, methinks the Republicans will give up planning to take down the duly elected President and run off with their tails waggin’ behind them.

      And I will laugh.

I’m not in love with POTUS, but I feel like they are family. And to me family means everything. NurseShar – You may want to refer your husband to a little book called “Barack Obama Is Your New Bicycle.” You may know it. It was written back during the ’08 campaign by a man who had mentioned the same to his wife (the sub-plot was that she was formerly addicted to bikes of all kinds, but then all she talked about was candidate Obama)! It’s hysterical, and has a lot of one-liners about what he meant then (and still means, I might add) to a whole lot of his supporters!

After a few days of creation, the Lord called to Adam and said, “It is time for you and Eve to begin the process of populating the earth so I want you to kiss her.”

Adam answered, “Yes Lord, but what is a kiss?” So the Lord gave a brief description to Adam who took Eve by the hand and took her to the Eden garden. A few minutes later, Adam emerged and said, “Thank you Lord, that was enjoyable.”

And the Lord replied, “Yes Adam, I thought you might enjoy that and now I’d like you to caress Eve.” And Adam said, “What is a caress’? So the Lord again gave Adam a brief description and Adam went into Eden again with Eve.

Quite a few minutes later, Adam returned, smiling, and said, “Lord, that was even better than the kiss.” And the Lord said, “You’ve done well, Adam. And now I want you to make love to Eve.” And Adam asked, “What is ‘make love’ Lord?” So the Lord again gave Adam directions and Adam went again to Eve into Eden, but this time he reappeared in two seconds.

And Adam said, “Lord, what is a headache?”

  16. August 24, 2012 at 10:51 pm

Truly, Halperin becomes a bigger twat by the day.

His tweet: Joke not funny. But not planned. But insensitive. But PBO does birther jokes. But distractions bad 4 Mitt pre-Tampa.But Dem faux outrage=zzz.

Seriously? He thinks PBO telling birther jokes is the same as what Romney did today??

And outrage over a presidential candidate making a racist, birther joke is “faux”?

    Is he ****ing kidding me?

And then he says: After reading a lot of tweets, listening to some talk radio, and watching some cable TV, I can say that this Romney/birther moment is representative of the whole, horrible campaign cycle we are in.

The level of vitriol and personal animus that exists on both sides over the flap is truly discouraging.

And it is the latest instance in which both sides think backing down in any way would be an unacceptable sign of weakness.

So this is as much the Obama/Biden campaign’s fault as Romney’s?

    He makes me puke.

Me and my husband are longtime registered voters. We have our government ID with our current address. We went in today to do the address change so there would be no reason to deny us the right to vote. We are both Dems. My husband is white and I’m AA. Today, When I was at the Registrar of Voters (northern Nevada) I asked about getting seniors in my building registered who had recently moved to the complex. Most do not have transportation and they figure it is too complicated to register an address change. Problem solved!! On September 5th, the registrar of voters will send a volunteer to my building to register seniors. My goal is get everyone in the 58 unit building to vote, either early or on election day, I told my neighbors the most important vote is for Congress. You must VOTE BLUE all the way down the ticket because we saw what the GOP did in Congress and what they did at the state level. I’m encouraging the young people I work with to vote. One of the challenges is that they do not understand how the three branches of government work. They do not understand that the president sets policy, while the Congress is charged with funding it. It is not enough to Vote Blue at the TOP of the ticket. We must go DEEP BLUE or all the way down the ticket. We just have to keep talking and talking and talking to everyone in our social network. Take a group picture of your family & friends with their voter reg card or receipt and their government ID and post on Facebook with the caption “I’M READY 2 GO. R U?”

Excellent IDON! I am wondering….could your building be a place to vote? I am thinking that there should be MORE places such as Senior Centers, Apartment buildings with rec rooms, Nursing homes, Churches, where people can vote. City, State, and Federal buildings should have “voting” booths so people can VOTE at work. ALL City, State, and Federal agencies have to make sure the people they hire are here LEGALLY and therefore should be enough PROOF that you are who you say you are.

“I don’t guess it should come as much of a surprise, but nevertheless I do find it entertaining that a recent NBC/Wall Street Journal poll finds Mitt Romney to be supported by 0 percent of African American voters. No, not 1 percent, or even 3 or 4.

    Donut hole.

And then, when you factor in the margin of error, which is plus or minus 3.1 %, the rather surreal scenario suggests that the actual number of black folks who do not want Romney to be president is less than zero. I mean, no one ever expected to see any large percentage of African Americans going for the Republican candidate, especially when the incumbent Democrat is the nation’s first African American president. But that hollow echoing sound coming from that zero got me to thinking about that great song from the late Billy Preston, “Nothing from Nothing”.. [keep reading the article]

  34. August 25, 2012 at 2:07 am

    The AP:

Vice President Joe Biden is postponing his planned trip to Tampa, Fla., the site of the Republican National Convention.

An Obama campaign official says Biden is putting off Monday’s trip in order to ensure that all local law enforcement and emergency management resources can stay focused on Tropical Storm Isaac, which could impact Florida during the convention.

Biden had planned a two-day swing through Florida during the Republican meetings to counter their message. The official says Biden still plans to continue with stops in Orlando and St. Augustine, Fla., on Tuesday.

The official wouldn’t say whether Biden would reschedule his stop in Tampa, only that the campaign was monitoring the storm. The official requested anonymity in order to speak ahead of the campaign’s official announcement.

While the res of the world is moving on with the health of their citizens, the bestest country in the whole world is still stuck of free-speech porn.

The US government cannot force tobacco firms to put large graphic health warnings on cigarette packages, an appeals court in Washington has ruled. It said the government’s plan undermined free speech in America.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) had wanted to put nine pictures of dead and diseased smokers to convey the dangers of cigarettes. But tobacco firms had argued that the images went beyond factual information and into anti-smoking advocacy.

The ruling comes as a number of other countries have ordered similar pictures to be placed on all cigarette packets.Australia has gone a step further, banning even tobacco company logos from the cartons.

The verdict was welcomed by tobacco companies, with Lorrilard Tobacco’s describing it as “a significant vindication of First Amendment principles”.

Good morning, TOD – I’m off again to New Hampshire to knock on doors and talk to voters about our future. I have my talking points, but more often than not I hardly look at them. I talk to voters about our common dreams and the expectations of our children and grandchildren. The Republicans’ revisionist agenda does nothing to solve the challlenges of our time. We may not all agree on how we can win the future and that’s why we believe in democracy.
But we need leaders who understand these challenges and work hard for the future of all the people. Barack Obama is such a leader, and he deseves the support of all the people he has helped and will continue to make the center of his policies.
