Sabreen, this is an absolutely brilliant letter that lays open the vapidity and hypocrisy of the television news. It should be spread far and wide. It is, in my opinion, the reason why tv news is ultimately doomed as it well should be.
It’s a great letter. Where she says Fox started this problem is wrong, though. When the news division was forced to “earn it’s keep” or make money for the corporation is when it started. Paddy Chayefsky was writing about it in 1976 in the movie “Network.” Fox put the concept on steriods.
And that noise you hear in the background? The noise in the background after the convention crowd stopped cheering? That is the sound of wing-nuts heads exploding!! They started plotting, right then and there, on how to tear down Barack Hussein Obama.

I don’t know if anyone is aware of this – but it seems that Youtube is promoting the birther Navy seals anti-Obama video. Since Friday, I noticed that whenever I went on the site, this video is the first thing that appears on the page ( I very rarely watch videos about military/navy/Bin laden). And currently it is still the first video that pops up on the site when I go on. I also noticed that the number of views is quite enormous and rapidly increasing – almost 2 million in less than one week.
I think we need to let others be aware that Youtube (now owned by Google) is promoting this rabid piece of trash on their site.
Those 2 million views are all tea Baggers. Tea Baggers love to reinforce their hatred.

Basically, Boy Wonder Paul Ryan went down to Florida with his mother to tell seniors that they have nothing to worry about BUT HE PLANS TO SCREW THEIR CHILDREN AND GRAND CHILDREN AND ANYONE ELSE THEY CARE ABOUT UNDER 55. I don’t know if anyone is aware of this – but it seems that Youtube is promoting the birther Navy seals anti-Obama video. Since Friday, I noticed that whenever I went on the site, this video is the first thing that appears on the page ( I very rarely watch videos about military/navy/Bin laden). And currently it is still the first video that pops up on the site when I go on. I also noticed that the number of views is quite enormous and rapidly increasing – almost 2 million in less than one week.
I think we need to let others be aware that Youtube (now owned by Google) is promoting this rabid piece of trash on their site.
Those 2 million views are all tea Baggers. Tea Baggers love to reinforce their hatred.
Just like that new movie that is coming out next week, 2016. Ain’t nobody going to see that, but the Baggers.

Why is Youtube promoting this video? Everytime I go on the site that’s the first thing I see. I’m not a bagger, and should not be subject to this crap unless I search for it.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A plaintiff in a lawsuit seeking to overturn Pennsylvania’s tough new voter identification law has received the state-issued photo ID card necessary to vote, despite saying she’d been rejected for years because she lacked appropriate documentation to receive the card.
Viviette Applewhite, who recalled marching for voting rights in 1960 with Martin Luther King Jr., was issued the temporary card on Thursday, the same day lawyers for her and others opposing the law appealed a judge’s refusal to halt the law from taking effect in the Nov. 6 presidential election.
Applewhite, 93, had trouble meeting the state’s documentation requirements to get a photo ID. For one thing, she did not have a Social Security card after it was stolen with her purse some years ago, she has said. Plus, she was adopted early in life, making the name on her birth certificate different from that on her other paperwork, and she did not have a record of the adoption.
Applewhite received her identification card after riding two public-transit buses to a Department of Transportation licensing office and presenting a clerk with her Medicare card from the 1990s, a state document listing her name and Social Security number in her own handwriting, and proof of her Philadelphia address, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
