President Obama Travels with White House Homebrewed Beer Aboard Ground Force One
    http://obamafoodorama.blogspot.com/2012/08/president-obama-travels-with-white.html

The Obamas’ chefs are the first to homebrew at the White House, and the President takes the special beer on the road…
President Obama is such a fan of the White House chefs’ homebrewed beer that he’s carrying a special payload of the stuff tucked away on his fancy black bus as he rolls through Iowa on his three-day tour. On Tuesday morning, during a “surprise” stop at the Coffee Connection in Knoxville, the President gifted a local man with a bottle of the very special brew. It’s made at the White House by the Obamas’ chefs, the first to ever do so in the history of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, as first reported by Obama Foodorama.

While greeting patrons outside the coffee shop, the President was asked about the White House homebrew by a man in the crowd, a campaign aide said. After the President described the beer, the fellow requested a bottle.

The President “sent out to Ground Force One and gave him one,” the aide said… [more in the article]

RR are digging their own political graves.

They’re focused on being the aggressor, and obviously not concerned about how many lies they tell every day. They know Big Media won’t call them out on their lies.

Except for the rightwing nutjobs, voters will tire of hearing nothing but attacks and whining from RR without any solutions. Especially after the debates, when RR will have to twist themselves into pretzels just to respond to PBO and VPBiden.

Willard Romney is one nasty SOB! There is nothing that comes out of his mouth that is not a lie or pure projection. On top of that he is such cry baby bully.

  11. August 14, 2012 at 8:58 pm

Here’s why RR (RollsRoyce logo) get along so well.

Ryan’s brother works in private equity, and is a former Bain Capital manager:

Ryan’s wife is former Big Pharma and tobacco lobbyist:
    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/08/14/janna-ryan-paul-ryan-wife_n_1774265.html?utm_hp_ref=politics

The Dems and media (I know, wishful thinking) really need to pound away on why RR both support no taxes on the wealthy, how Mitt’s IRA grew so huge. Can anyone explain to me how this isn’t insider trading?

Seems to me you’ve been bopping around all day, CC, even before this music started! I got this sense that there’s been an extra spring or two in your steps the entire day so I figured it had to do with your being home again with everything around you. Now that you’ve got all that bounce, or bop, out of your system, can I assume that tomorrow there will be less bopping? That’s all.

      • August 14, 2012 at 9:20 pm

I get what you are saying. Addiction is the correct word. I stay on the computer reading this blog for hours even if I am not always posting. I think it is because we experience closeness even though we do not know each other in person due to our mutual values in politics and our respect and admiration of our President. I sometimes worry about how there will be a hole in my life when this blog goes away after our President. It would be fun to all meet with signs of our post handle on us so we will know each other. Racists code, that’s what that is. From the party of hate. From the party who only is voting for Mitt, because they want him to beat that black President. They are not supporting Mitt because they like him, they trust him. So the party of hate and racism is Mitt Romney and the people who support him. And Nov. 6th we will send Mitt and his hate, anger, lies back to where ever it is he comes from.

Devo are set to release a track later this month entitled “Don’t Roof Rack Me, Bro! (Remember Seamus).” It is inspired by Mitt Romney’s notorious road trip from Massachusetts to Ontario, during which he transported the family dog, Seamus, in a kennel strapped to the roof of his station wagon.

According to the Orchard, the distributor behind the track, the digital single will be released on August 25th.

The track also comes as Devo’s founder and commercial director, Gerald V. Casale, kicks off his Remember Seamus campaign, which is supposed to help “make 2012 the year where animals like Seamus are valued and honesty is praised.”

Devo is also helping to back Dogs Against Romney, with Casale designing a special edition shirt for the group. Casale is also involved in an upcoming smartphone game called “The Crate Escape: Seamus Unleashed,” which sees release on August 26th, otherwise known as National Dog Day.

Do you think POTUS ever get tired of the hand shake, the hugs,? He has had a busy day today.

      • 124 isonprize
        August 14, 2012 at 9:51 pm

Nope, I really think that shaking all of those hands ENERGIZES HIM. It connects him to the real people. It reminds him that all of the nasty wrangling he does with nasty, lying, hateful, mean-spirited Re-thugs is worth it. It lets him know that he hasn’t sacrificed the last 4 years of his life for nothing.

Think about it. He could have stayed Senator from Illinois for life if he wanted to. Of course, he would have to run a decent campaign every 6 years, but that would be a piece of cake for him. He and Michelle could have watched their girls grow up without all the media scrutiny on every single move they make. His life would have been easy-breezy.

But no, he chose to work for US. And I think he gets recharged everytime a crowd shows up and says “THANK YOU” “WE LOVE YOU”
I really, honestly, truly believe that he means it, when he says “I LOVE YOU BACK”

Sorry for the rant, but I loved your question, and I feel strongly that all the handshakes, hugs and kisses that he gets are GOOD for him.

And the babies? Don’t even get me started on him and children. He loves them, and he genuinely LIKES CHILDREN. Kids can smell a phony a mile away. They know that he is the real deal and they obviously love him back.

Isonprize “… Energizes him.” I know first hand the energy of hugs and well wishes can help energize a person to carry on. When my late husband unexpectedly died at 52 yrs of a heart attack after the funeral the many people at the reception who spoke with me, sent me cards, and hugged me definitely gave me the desire and strength to carry on.

Can’t you love people without shaking all those hands, and people hugging and grabbing all over you. But I guess it comes with the territory of politics. That just came cross my mind when I see him repeat the same thing over and over and over again.

Also I just had to copy in one of the comments from the Rolling Stone link. Some repug troll named Albert posted something snide about PBO eating dog. It’s so lovely to see folks starting to push back in the comments section on the intertoobz.

      “Lord Acton
Really? Is the best you can do?

(It alway amazes me that people ever say that it’s LIBERALS who don’t have a sense of humor.) Tell ya what, albert.

The good guys will stop mentioning the true story of Mitt mistreating his dog as soon as you guys stop saying these 4 untrue things: 1. Obama is a Muslim, 2. Obama is a socialist, 3. Obama hates America, 4. Voter fraud is an epidemic.

How’s that sound? Can your guys survive as a political party without all these oft-repeated childish, untrue, easily disprovable statements? I think not.

But let us know if you think you can, and we’ll stop repeating this particular true story. After all, we’ve got plenty of RELEVANT material on Willard.”

The Obama campaign fired back Tuesday against a tough Mitt Romney speech in Chillicothe, Ohio, saying that Romney seemed “unhinged.”

β€œGovernor Romney’s comments tonight seemed unhinged, and particularly strange coming at a time when he’s pouring tens of millions of dollars into negative ads that are demonstrably false,” campaign press secretary Ben LaBolt said in a statement.

Romney said Tuesday that the president had resorted to “diversions and distractions,” that Obama was “taking things to a new low,” and that he was running a campaign of “hate.”

“His campaign and his surrogates have made wild and reckless accusations that disgrace the office of the presidency,” Romney said.

Evening all. OMG it’s been eons since I’ve posted. Been so busy, I keep trying to keep up but some days all I can do is scroll through all the great pics.

Saw that I missed ChipChica’s 21st B-day so even tho I’m late to the party, just have to say

So are you back on home turf? Did you get to, err I mean have to sit on the co-pilot’s lap again for the ride home? And if yes, was it at least bumpy?

Now to go see highlights of what I missed these last few.

hahaha well my birthday image sure doesn’t look like it should after posting. FYI it’s a (was a) B-day cake…. πŸ˜† ❗

That’s it, I’m sticking with my day job.

Thank you LunarSea! Tragically for the pilot, no, there was no sitting on him this time – which might explain why the landing was so bumpy, he was clearly feeling distracted and sad. I’ll know better next time. Hope all’s good and you’re not too crazily busy?

        His loss!

Busy at work AND at play so it evens out. Vacation again next week and more out of state company coming. Pretty steady stream but I love it so long as it’s short bites and I have a chance to recoup and veg out in between.

Tonight is just a georgeous summer’s night. The stuff of Shakespeare. Makes me think of Mid Summer’s Night Dream. Magical. Enjoyable.

HEADLINE: Young immigrants to apply for Dream Act protection Wednesday

// The Obama administration will kick off one of the most sweeping changes in immigration policy in decades Wednesday, allowing an estimated 1.7 million young undocumented immigrants to apply for the temporary right to live and work openly in the United States without fear of deportation. Immigrants have waited for final details of the plan in the two months since President Obama pledged to brush aside years of congressional stalemate over the Dream Act and grant de facto residency to qualified immigrants who were brought to the country as children.

On Tuesday, officials surprised advocacy groups by posting the application forms online one day early. Advocates across the country are planning to hold workshops Wednesday for hundreds of immigrants eager to learn who will qualify and how to apply. //
