Hello vcprez, here a few highlights!
1. CNN poll came out showing PBO leading Romney 52 to 45.
2. PBO is also leading among Independents 53 to 42
3. PBO released a new devastating ad “Son of Boss” which details a nasty tax write-off scam that Romney approved
4. Harry Reid revealed that his source might be a Republican. Folks are speculating that it’s Jon Huntstman, Sr.

This ties in with that video segment I posted last night, in which a programmer was testifying that some voting machines were rigged. I couldn’t figure out if he was referring to 2010 or prior, but I note that this was also supposedly in Florida. The quality of the video wasn’t great, yet if the content was genuine, I don’t understand why no one was charged, or what was done to make sure a repeat was not possible.
This is disgusting. These Republicans are trying to steal this election, and it is ashame what they are doing. They will say that this guy is having some legal trouble that is why he is talking, and he can’t be trusted. I disagree even the biggest liar can tell the truth some times.

The local United Way office realized that it had never received a donation from the town’s most successful lawyer. The volunteer in charge of contributions called him to persuade him to contribute. “Our research shows that out of a yearly income of more than $600,000 you give not a penny to charity. Wouldn’t you like to give back to the community in some way?”
The lawyer mulled this over for a moment and replied, “First, did your research also show that my mother is dying after a long illness, and has medical bills that are several times her annual income?” Embarrassed, the United Way rep mumbled, “Um … No.”
“Second, that my brother, a disabled veteran, is blind and confined to a wheel chair?” The stricken United Way rep began to stammer out an apology, but was cut off.
“Third, that my sister’s husband died in a traffic accident,” the lawyer’s voice rising in indignation, “leaving her penniless with three children?!” The humiliated United Way rep, completely beaten, said simply, “I had no idea …”
On a roll, the lawyer cut him off once again, “… And I don’t give any money to them, so why should I give any to you?!?”

Rachel Maddow just did a terrific segment pulling back the curtain on the fact that Mitt Romney still has not won over his conservative base. She reviewed his June and July ads which were devoted to wishy washty gibberish on the economy and bashing of President Obama. But suddenly August has turned into WHO SHARES YOUR VALUES. That’s right, the burning issues now are birth control, welfare and Israel. Sounds like a pivot back to the GOP primaries not the general election.
And the pundits have been saying that Romney’s been running a disciplined campaign? It’s anything but disciplined! They’re reacting to everything and anything.

Oh, Chips. These images just rob the heart. They make you laugh and they make you want to weep. And how appreciative real people are to see him. And isn’t his hair getting so “distinguished” looking – Ha!
Loved the Secret Service agent’s hand on the woman’s arm in the first photo, possibly attempting to get her to quit hugging PBO (as if). Also loved the older woman in the capris who was almost falling off the platform to touch his hand (but I must admit it reminded me of the 50-ish woman in the audience during one of his ’08 campaign stops, who was caught on camera mouthing the words, “I love you, Barack” to him – whew – embarrassing, lady!).
All of these lovely, different people loving on our President Gorgeous and he is returning the love.
