Mark Halperin has officially lost his freaking mind. How dumb can one person be?

    • 29 pkayden
      August 6, 2012 at 7:28 pm

Yes, I saw that too, but even Halperin had to admit that Reid’s comments about Romney have derailed Romney’s campaign and that the Repubs are acting foolishly. We’ll see how long this “Romney is hiding something” theme can continue. Must be something awfully nasty in his tax returns if he refuses to release them.

      • 30 anniebella
        August 6, 2012 at 7:51 pm

When I saw that that freaking lying Mark Halperin was going to be on Hardball, I turn the channel. Halperin knows no one is buying that B.S. If Mitt is so private, then why run for President? No, Mitt is hiding something that’s why he won’t release his tax returns.

    • 31 criquet
      August 6, 2012 at 8:39 pm

Really? I thought Mark Halperin hung on every word Willard and wife utter. Both said there will be no more tax returns because that will give the opposition things to use against Willard . Ding , ding ,ding Halperin, keep up and keep the talking points BS straight.

HP is reporting Willard said in 2002 that he would have been unable to host the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, Utah had it not been for the “enormous spending and services of the federal government.” We shouldl see ads soon with that quote.

      There’s a video of that:)

    • 46 pkayden

Obama’s campaign needs to make some ads highlighting the fact that Romney had help from the federal government to make the Salt Lake City Olympics such as great success. He didn’t do it by himself, like he’d like us all to believe.

I don’t know if anyone has noticed but I’m beginning to notice that the Twitter hashtag trends are becoming more and more right-skewed. Right now, there is a hashtag, #IDon’tSupportObama, which is the top trending phrase on Twitter right now. When I clicked on it relatively few tweets loaded and they seem to be coming from the same accounts over and over (not retweets). I’ve noticed that every time our President is giving a campaign speech or other important televised or online address, these anti-Obama hashtags seem to pop up from no where. I also noticed that it’s becoming increasingly difficult to get any negative hashtag about Mitt Romney trending. Clearly there is some manipulation of the Twitter trends and I just want folks to be aware of it.

    • 56 Dudette
      August 6, 2012 at 7:43 pm

That’s what they’re doing with their campaign funds – paying for Tweets.

      • 57 isonprize
        August 6, 2012 at 7:56 pm

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if this were true. Since R-money bought his tweeples, why wouldn’t be by tweets and fake hashtags?

    • August 6, 2012 at 8:38 pm

      hopefruit2 and isonprize:

Wouldn’t surprise me that R-money is buying top trends, since all he’s got is money (no soul, no heart). But it’s concerning if its true that #Mittidiot, etc. hashtags won’t trend.

Hashtags for trending topics tend to have a short lifespan. Twitter looks for (delta) change, not overall volume. Trending topics was a controversy a couple of years ago when #Wikileaks wasn’t trending even though there was a huge volume of tweets with that hashtag. That’s when Twitter explained that it wasn’t stacking the deck against #Wikileaks.

Willard is the fakiest, most shallow, most insincere, most awkward human being I have ever seen—–he always looks so uncomfortable in personal interactions, you would think he grew up in a bubble somewhere, which may be close to the truth—–or on another planet without human life. He goes on a fake shopping trip to a hardware store—trying to look like “every man”—-comes out carrying a bucket like he’s going home to scrub floors, or something—hahahahahaha. And when reporters ask what he was shopping for at the hardware store, he says “hardware”. OMIGOD—my 3 yr. old grandson could have come up with something more decent, more engaging, less secretive, less oblique. Willard is just putrid as a person. let alone a presidential candidate.

JAY CARNEY SCHOOLS THE JACKALS ABOUT ROMNEY’S TAX RETURNS & HARRY REID

Watch the White House Crush Romney’s Blame Obama for Harry Reid Meme

    By: Jason Easley

    ———————————————

In a last ditch attempt to make his unreleased tax returns go away, the Romney campaign jumped on the right wing blame Obama meme, which the White House turned into another Romney disaster.
    .
    .
That is over 1,000 words of transcript from the White House where they got to talk about tax cuts for the middle class, Mitt Romney’s unpopular position on taxing the rich, and Romney’s tax returns.

On top of all of those goodies, the White House crushed Romney’s conspiracy theory that blames Obama for Harry Reid’s allegations about his tax returns.

The MSM are making themselves look really foolish and bad siding with Willard against Harry Reid’s comments.

      • August 6, 2012 at 8:21 pm

They’re exposing themselves. And their outrage over what was said on the Senate Floor is hollow outrage, given what the GOP have said on the Senate Floor that has spread hate, lies, and worked to sabotage the government of the United States.

Is Reid stating on the Senate Floor that a presidential candidate should show his tax records really worse than the Minority Leader declaring on the Senate Floor that he’s plotting to bring down the President of the United States, even if it means destroying the country’s economy?

I email Anderson Cooper and Wolf and told them that Mitt Romney could shut every one up, he could prove Reid to be a liar by releasing his tax returns.

I wonder if Mitt has any money in this bank. Just wondering…hmmmm.
    —————————————————————————–

Standard Chartered bank ‘in $250bn scheme with Iran’
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-19155577

Standard Chartered bank illegally “schemed” with Iran to launder as much as $250bn (Ā£161bn) for nearly a decade, a US regulator says.

The New York State Department of Financial Services said that the bank hid 60,000 secret transactions for “Iranian financial institutions” that were subject to US economic sanctions.

It labelled UK-based Standard Chartered a “rogue institution”.

The bank has been threatened with having its US banking licence revoked.

The allegations are far larger than those involving HSBC, which was recently accused by the US Senate of failing to prevent money laundering from countries around the world including Mexico and Iran. It has set aside $700m to deal with any fines and penalties arising from those allegations.

The bank is ordered to appear before the regulator soon to “explain these apparent violations of law” from 2001 to 2010…[more in the article]
