Oh god, she stole my heart. What an adorable little girl! I love the blue flower pinned to her hair. Look at the earnest expression on her little face! Uh! So sweet!
Mitt Romney wishes he could get even a fraction of the genuine love, adoration, and respect people have for President Obama. He just brings out the very best in people. When you look at their expressions while they are listening to him or when they see him, they just look transformed! His light shines on you and you lifted up.
What a darling photo. The way she is reaching for him is almost symbolic of all of us trying to hold on to what is left of our country after the Bush wrecking ball almost destroyed it.
Wow! Meta! The things you learn on TOD about TOD peeps. I’m in awe. Such gloriousness. I’m going to try this dish with some raspberries I picked up this morning at my farmer’s market. Bookmarked your blog; I’ll be referring to it daily. It will help fuel my ongoing love affair with luscious desserts. Thank you! 🙂
Oh, you’re so sweet, purpleshoes! I think this would be even better with farmer’s market raspberries.
This was a second career path for me, something I’d always wanted to do. I post once a week on Fridays and am working on an ebook for release this fall. Enjoy!
It is ON!!! For most of next week our President will be campaigning. Letting the American people see just how stark the choice is this election. Getting folks FIRED UP and READY TO GO!
I can’t wait. In less than a week of him campaigning, the whole week’s cycle was dominated with Bain this, Mitt Romney that, SEC filing this, outsourcing that, Romney on five network interviews.
The Romney campaign is going to have Ms. Ann dash a bucket of water on Willard while he’s campaigning to make it seem like he’s rain soaked, and then have a hired staffer hug a soaking Mitt for camera…
Eeww. To quote Jaden Smith from the latest version of “The Karate Kid”, “hmm, That’s nasty….” But actually if Ms. Ann throws water on Mittens it will short circuit his robotics and battery pack, non? Maybe that would be a good thing after all! 🙂
or as wolcott says, ‘a sneaky jab that completely shatters mitt’s glass jaw.’
and…
‘it’s clear that the obama campaign strategy is to hit romney hard early, define and diminish him in the public imagination with cartoon clarity, and send him into the republican convention with a dan quayle deer-in-the-headlights look that conveys the unbearable lightness of completely lost.’
When did Mitt Romney start singing on the campaign trail? As I recall, Mitt Romney did his rendition of “America The Beautiful” in Florida a couple of days after President Obama sang a couple of cords at the Apollo (which quickly went viral). At the time, I just thought why is Mitt doing that? I figured he just can’t help himself. He criticizes President Obama all the time, but he also tries to copy everything he does. Clearly, this time it went terribly wrong. He just makes it too easy. The ad is a self inflected wound on so many levels. The singing just showcases his dishonesty and opacity. It’s who he is.
thanks for the great photos, chips. i love to see our president enjoying the people, and being out among his supporters. he has so many hard days and nights of reading and meetings and airplanes and such. he deserves all the love being showered on him!
The millions, billions, trillions and gaahzillions of dollars from the big business bastion and flabby old white zillionaires won’t be enough for willard. Yep, it’s concerning and we hate it. But all of that gawddamnfuckingdirty cash WON’T be enough for that slimy cravenly dishonest chameleon. most of America sees through that douche.
He has been “SEVERELY” (and consistently) FIERCE on the Sunday shows. I also heard that he said at some point recently that Repugs’ idea of healthcare for women is mandatory vaginal probes. I hope to see him have a key speaking slot at the Dem Convention this year. I think people need to see that we have a “bench” after PBO’s second term. And that it’s not going to be a cakewalk for the Repugs waiting to run for the WH in 2016 either.
I saw that! So cute. He is too much. But you know he’s right! Some of you ladies don’t like getting your hair wet! LOL. I saw that in the Chris Rock documentary. I always wonder why black American women didn’t like to get their hair wet, now I know. 🙂
The little girl has intense adorability – (my word) She Is too cute for words but her response can be for no one else but POTUS BHO. No one else can come close. F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C!!!!!!!!
This little beautiful angel came from the “best of the better angels” that is in our TOD Family here.
I see the heavens opening up with their blessings
I see a little angel pulling in the love of a gentle spirit, our POTUS
I see the real O Beautiful America, in all the faces there
I see the gods of love, compassion, caring for one another all with hands of blessings extended
I see so much love for a president who exudes it to all people
I see and feel love surrounding us with a gentle kiss of peace and a loving hug of victory.
I see so much love and hope tonight.
Thank you Chips. My heart is so full. We have so much to take into our space tonight. (((((((((((((( I love you for giving us so much)))))))))))HZ
Ah HZ, you sure can put your feelings into words. Someone should make this into a card to be passed out to folks on the streets. Put the pictture of the laittle angel on the card and your words beneath it.
ROMNEY WON’T TAKE PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR HIS OWN ACTIONS
Romney Denial of Responsibility for Actions of Bain Says A lot About the Kind of President He Would Be
By Robert Creamer
—————————————
Romney may believe that the President of Bain Capital didn’t have responsibility for the company’s actions — but someone should explain to him that the President of United States is absolutely responsible for the work of every Executive Department, whether or not he is directly involved in every decision. The President of the United States is responsible for the success or failure of every military mission. He is responsible for preventing recession — for saving the auto industry even when it is unpopular — for making the tough decisions and living with their consequences. When you’re President of the United States, you can’t say, “Oh I had no responsibility because I left the day-to-day decisions of the Defense Department to others.” Do we really want a President that refuses to take responsibility for the actions of a company for which he was CEO, President, Chairman and sole stockholder?
.
.
The last thing that we need in a president is a man who refuses to take personal responsibility for his own actions and that of his company. The last thing we need is a president whose economic philosophy is an elaborate justification for the unwillingness of many of our wealthiest citizens to take any responsibility whatsoever for the welfare of our entire society.
It’s okay, Willard. We already have our candidate. He just has to wake up the morning after the election, and continue being our 44th, all the way through his second term. You, Willard, are toast. America the Beautiful!
Thank you LadyH for sharing this. Usually I avoid HuffPost like I avoid a plague. But since it was you who recommended Creamer’s piece, I decided to check it out. It’s an excellent essay that is a must read for everyone. It totally made up for my visiting a site that I greatly dislike.
We have had some good days, but we can not get over confident. This is going to be a battle, and we have to be prepared to fight this battle till November 6th. We know that Mitt Romney and the Republicans are going to play nasty, nas-tee, and we have to do all we can, whatever we can to help re-elect this President. This election is not a gimme and we must keep that in mind. POTUS and FLOTUS have said that it will be close, and we have to fight like it is close. Never give up, don’t sit back and think that we have this in the bag. It’s not, kept that in mind. Fight our assess off for Obama/Biden 2012.
Amazing comments! Some emoprogs even”apologizing” for acting like assholes…they’ll come back into the fold…as long as they quit their whining, complaining and armchair quarterbacking.
The article from Forbes that Bill posted is a must read…..35 questions that Romney must answer…
I copied one because it makes such a great point…I would have prefer that he put President Obama and not just Obama but here it is:
31. If Obama owned slum apartments in Chicago that horribly mistreated poor people and didn’t provide them heat or running water, but Obama hired a real estate management firm to manage the building and collect rent, do you think it would be fair to criticize him for being a hypocritical slum lord who showed no compassion for poor people?
Just a thought in one of the interviews which I believe was NBC, the mitt the fraudster said he won’t release more than 2 yrs of taxes because he doesn’t want them used for opposition research. If you don’t have anything to hide and there is nothing illegal, why would Willard mitt romney care?
the only honorable reason to withhold them, that i can think of, is that the tax returns would demonstrate some shady dealings on the part of his family. if it’s just his own shady dealings, then he should man up. if he doesn’t reveal the documents, and he wants us to believe he’s an honest man, then we have to assume his wife and/or children are crooks.
Mitt Romney Feels the Obama Campaign Owes Him an Apology [Updated]
By Caroline Bankoff
——————————————–
It looks like he’ll be waiting a while for that apology. Just this morning, the Obama campaign released yet another ad focused on Romney’s time at Bain.
.
.
Update: The Obama campaign has responded to the apology request with a video compilation of Romney’s nastier attacks on the President. As a spokeswoman told reporters, “I think that we felt it was important to remind people that Mitt Romney is the same candidate who just a few months ago was questioning whether the president understood America, understood freedom, and spent a lot of time — and a lot of time on his campaign still to date — attacking him. And that was maybe forgotten over the last couple of days.” She added that the campaign was “completely justified to raise questions” when it came to Romney’s career at Bain, since he’s “leading with his business credentials as his top qualification for being president.”
I saw those comments on Reddit…they need to put that new found enthusiasm to work! I don’t want them lying around while we work are asses off, and then take credit when Nov comes…they’ve been bitchin’ about one thing or another for the last 3 and 1/2 years…GET TO WORK!
I truly do love the way Willard is distancing himself from the one thing he hoped to use as a strength. Talk about turning a strength into a weakness. #swiftboat
The Libor scandal is starting to gain some traction in the press:
U.S. Is Building Criminal Cases in Rate-Fixing
As regulators ramp up their global investigation into the manipulation of interest rates, the Justice Department has identified potential criminal wrongdoing by big banks and individuals at the center of the scandal.
The department’s criminal division is building cases against several financial institutions and their employees, including traders at Barclays, the British bank, according to government officials close to the case who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the investigation is continuing. The authorities expect to file charges against at least one bank later this year, one of the officials said.
The Banks are so sensitive, if you arrest any of them, they will freeze up credit, stop what little lending they have and send us back into a double dip.
What is more likely, is a settlement to consumers. That is already happening in many areas, the latest was MasterCard!
From what I’ve gathered, Geithner raised a flag on the LIBOR dealings, and tried to convince the banks/regulatory bodies to impose some controls that would limit chances for manipulation. He wasn’t the Treasury Secretary at the time, and making his concerns public with no power to control the consequences would have been irresponsible. If anyone should be investigated, it’s whomever had the power to make changes at that time – including the Treasury Secretary at that time, and the Congressional body that could have imposed regulations.
You can just imagine the sphincter muscles tightening up throughout the Republican Party establishment as they watch this devastating report. It’s just astonishing. And to think the Quitter From Wasilla says we didn’t properly vet President Obama in 2008.
You bet they’re tense!!! And, with AG Holder & Company drilling into LIBOR – Barclays, GS, JPMorgan … all the fat cat Casino Capitalists are likely lawyering up, big time 🙂
Congress should work with President Obama to extend tax cuts for small business owners: http://t.co/sj8JDLdH— Barack Obama (@BarackObama) July 14, 2012
Thanks amk for sharing the link. John Cole was on fire exposing Kessler. Also, one of the commentators at bj shared an excellent piece by Robert Perry of “Consortiumnews.” Since I am technologically challenged I was not able to link to it. Knowing your superior skills I am hoping that you can track it down and share it with the TOD family. It’s really a must read. By the way, thanks also for the wonderful job you dong on twitter.
Good Night all. I guess POTUS will take tomorrow off for some rest before he gets back on the road again. Do anyone know when the First Lady will be going to London for the Olympics?
I’m remembering the fact that throughout the Republican primaries PBO and his team had their sights set on Romney the whole time. They knew it would be him and I think they relished the idea. They knew it would come to this eventually. Smart, long-term strategic thinking. I can’t wait to see what’s waiting in the wings.
Meta, you are such a keen observer! You are absolutely right that President Obama’s team had, from the beginning, determined that Romney will eventually be the GOP nominee. Consequently, the team was so laser focused on how to run against him. I think we are now in phase one of their “strategic” planning: Undermining Romney’s calling card as a this great businessman who believes in America and would somehow rescue the economy. Although they have now and then alluded to it, I think phase two will focus on his governorship. I am sure they will expose his mediocre record as the one term Governor of Massachusetts –his only stint as a public official–which will show that he is not equipped to be President. The final phase– phase three– will focus on all the idiotic extreme right wing positions he has embraced, especially his unqualified support of the Ryan budget and his signing Grover Norquist’s pledge never to raise taxes. Obviously, I am merely speculating about phases two and three as I am absolutely not privy to the President’s team’s campaign strategy. But, it’s very clear to me that this magnificent team knows exactly where it wants to go and have mapped the best road to get there. I am so glad the people running the President’s campaign refused to listen to all the pundits, and Democratic arm chair advisors, who were always in a panic mode, telling them to do this or that. I am also glad that most of us on this blog always trusted the judgement of the President and his team. By the way, thank you so much for the wonderful job you doing on twitter fighting on behalf of President Obama.
I’ve been trying to remember the name of this Stevie Wonder song all day! The lyrics are SPOT ON for what’s happening with Willlard the Liar right now. I tried posting a video from youtube, but to no avail. Maybe someone else can do for me! Thanks!
Stevie Wonder – Skeletons Lyrics
Skeletons in your closet
Itchin’ to come outside
Messin’ with your conscience
In a way your face can’t hide
Oh things are gettin’ real funky
Down at the old corral
And it’s not the skunks that are stinkin’
IT’S THE STINKIN’ LIES YOU TELL!
[Bridge]
What did your mama tell you about lies
She said it wasn’t polite to tell a white one
What did your daddy tell you about lies
He said one white lie turns into a black one
So, it’s gettin’ ready to blow
It’s gettin’ ready to show
Somebody shot off at the mouth and
We’re getting ready to know
It’s gettin’ ready to drop
It’s gettin’ ready to shock
Somebody done turned up the heater
An’ a it’s gettin’ ready to pop
Crevices in your pantry
Now what do we have in here
Havin’ a day time nightmare
Has always been your biggest fear
Oh things are gettin’ real crucial
Up the old wazoo
YET YOU CRY, WHY AM I THE VICTIM
WHEN THE CULPRITS Y-O-U!
[Bridge]
What did your mama tell you about lies
She said it wasn’t polite to tell a white one
What did your daddy tell you about lies
He said one white lie turns into a black one
So, it’s gettin’ ready to blow
It’s gettin’ ready to show
Somebody shot off at the mouth and
We’re gettin’ ready to know
It’s gettin’ ready to drop
It’s gettin’ ready to shock
Somebody done turning the heater
An’ a it’s gettin’ ready to pop
It’s gettin’ ready to seep
You’re gettin’ ready to freak
Somebody done picked up the talk box
And gettin’ ready to speak
It’s gettin’ ready to jive
It’s gettin’ ready to gel
Somebody done gone let the lid off
And it’s gettin’ ready to smell
They’re gettin’ ready to deal
You’re gettin’ ready to ill
Somebody done just dropped the big dime
And they’re gettin’ ready to squeal
It’s gettin’ ready to turn
We’re gettin’ ready to learn
Somebody done fired up the brimstone
And you’re gettin’ ready to burn
It’s gettin’ ready to shake
You’re gettin’ ready to ache
Somebody done snitched to the news crew
And it’s gettin’ ready to break
You’re gettin’ ready to lie
They’re gettin’ ready to spy
Somebody’ s been put on the hot seat
And you’re gettin’ ready to fry
Oh do I love this!…I didn’t read past this paragraph because I don’t care what he says BUT he’s the Pinocchio guy who the Romney camp keep referring too….
There’s an army of supporters out there and people are sick an tired of the media/press BS!…..you guys have to look at the pushback he got!
Weighing the evidence on Romney’s departure from Bain: A response to readers
Posted by Glenn Kessler at 03:14 PM ET, 07/14/2012
It’s not often that one of my columns gets more than 5,000 comments, many of them angry. I tried responding via Twitter and various e-mail exchanges but eventually gave up because I was overwhelmed. My analysis was also roasted on the web by various people I often admire, and the Huffington Post rewrote my column to highlight exclusive material that they thought I had played down. My best friend from third grade even sent me a message on Facebook saying I “was carrying the Republicans’ water.”
So there, I just went at the bottom of the article to see if he retracted anything….nope.
Regarding Romney and Bain, the question for me remains whether one can specifically tie Romney to the questionable deals. So far, I have not seen enough evidence that he was actively managing Bain and its investments during this period.
Thus I am standing with my assessment that Romney essentially left Bain in 1999. Our colleagues at FactCheck.org have done the same. But of course I remain open to new evidence or information, and will adjust Pinocchio ratings accordingly.
…………..
So he can expect more pushback
Nobody said that he was ACTIVELY managing Bain! What an idiot….but that he didn’t attend board meeting, didn’t know about deals and investments, didn’t sign anything, wasn’t consulted on anything, didn’t profited from these deals???? no way……
I’m glad his friends/public gave it to his ass… Mittens is trying to make Americans the new wage slaves.. I know this election is going to be tough but if we do the work we can win this. My strength right now is giving money and soon it will be getting into an OFA office…
I copied a few tweets….you know at this point, I think he is refusing to change anything just to get some attention, it’s so ridiculous, the evidence are all there.
R Subramanian @randomsubu
So, @GlennKesslerWP stubbornly refuses to admit he made a mistake. John Cole has a great takedown: http://j.mp/LYZc6d

This Kessler character has a great future ahead at CNN
@Karoli @Johngcole,& isn’t Glenn Kessler the 1 & “ONLY” Source that Mitts says vindicates him-His proof? 3-legged stool lost a leg- Shaky
WTF is Glenn Kessler and why do we need him to tell us when someone’s lying? We can think for ourselves? To hell with him! The is what happens when we cede our own ability to think critically about the issues that affect our lives to politicians and pundits. These people have an agenda – one that protects the status quo at all costs. The fact-checker needs to check himself.
This is why Republicans are pushing to end critical thinking education in schools – claiming it shakes “firmly held beliefs” and undermines parental influence. They want a nation of cows, eating fast food and watching “reality” television. Not asking any questions. Not expecting anything more for themselves – other than “freedom”. Americans better wake up.
It’s just because the Romney camp always use his ”ratings” in interviews or in ads as ”proof”…he gave the outsourcing ad 4 pinocchios…, ….the Romney camp used his article as proof in their ad when they basically called the President a liar…..that’s why people are pushing back….it’s Romney only defense.
I am sooooo envious! I waited in line for 3 1/2 hours on Thursday to get a ticket to see President Obama in Centreville. The line wrapped around the entire row of stores. Finally, when I had reached the last corner of the building, they ran out of tickets about 50 people ahead of me. 😦 But it was delightful chatting with other folks while standing in line, so I don’t regret the time.

Mitt Romney has repeatedly bragged about his 25 years in private business. 1977 to 2002 = 25 years. 1977 to 1999 is only 22 years. Because of the scrutiny focused on Bain’s vulture capitalism with companies like GST Steel and KB Toys, Mitt is now claiming he left or “retired” from Bain in 1999 to escape criticism for bankrupting those companies and outsourcing the jobs. Sorry Mitt, the sworn documents filed with the SEC say otherwise. You were da man in charge for wreaking havoc on the lives of so many Americans and smugly walking away with the cash in your pocket.
I’ve seen many comments today on Twitter and elsewhere, including Paul Begala who calls the “firms” Ad the most “brilliant” of the campaign season to date. This is from Examiner.Com:
“Every modern presidential campaign produces hundreds of television and web ads, but a few go down in history for their ability to resonate with the public or effectively attack the opposing candidate. In 1984 it was Ronald Reagan’s “Its Morning in America Again” ad. In 2004 it was the Swiftboat ads attacking Senator John Kerry (D-Mass). In 2012, an Obama ad called “Firms” may define Mitt Romney before the campaign really hits high gear.
The ad, seen in the video to the below, features Romney awkwardly singing “America the Beautiful” before an audience in Florida. The ad has immediately created a tremendous among of buzz on Twitter and every major media outlet is now providing its own take. The ad is set to air in Colorado, Florida, Iowa, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. The ad will also probably be shown on the cable news outlets as various pundits give their take, which will only increase the ad’s exposure for free.”
I heard a fair bit of “swiftboating” talk on the radio today. It’s not a really fair comparison, since the 2004 Swiftboating of John Kerry involved getting supposed veterans to bash another veteran (Kerry) with a boatload of lies about Kerry’s service. It was dishonourable and deceptive – and for a Commander-in-Chief to get involved in that kind of campaign was truly demeaning of the Presidential Office, since he’s supposed to care for those who fought for this country. The ads being run against Romney right now simply shine a light on facts in evidence, and prompt Romney to answer to these questionable scenarios, especially since they directly refute his claims of his suitability to run the country (and the world). The two scenarios have nothing in common.
the evil villain in what’s likely to be the biggest box office movie of this summer, Batman, is named “bane” and he blows up new york city and all other kinds of mayhem. how hilarious is it that the same word is what’s being attached to the mittbot at the exact same time?!? people will be associated “bane” with “bain.” perfect!
isn’t it awesome to see how he was then, and know that’s the same incredible man running the free world right now? funny, handsome, brilliant, generous, and at peace in his own life.
Mitt and Ann Romney have a charitable foundation — The Tyler Foundation. It was established as a private foundation for them to contribute cash or in some cases, securities, as a pool of money to then give to their chosen charitable causes. It has been in effect since 1999, and a romp through their IRS 990 forms was, shall we say, enlightening?
Since 1999, most of the contributions made to the foundation by the Romneys have been in the form of securities which aren’t identified. Those securities are transferred to the foundation where they are either held or sold. In most cases, they were sold immediately upon transfer. Here are a few notable transactions along the way:
2003
Ameritrade, Inc. – 89,000 shares were contributed by the Ann Romney Blind Trust in 2003 with a value of a little more than $296,000. Those shares were sold immediately for $1,082,000, netting a profit of $785,781.00. Not such a bad deal for a day’s work, eh? I’m sure Joe Ricketts appreciated the investment in his future birtherism.
Staples, Inc. Just over 41,000 shares were transferred to the foundation with no value attached to them. They were sold in January, 2003 for just over $684,000. Another day’s work.
Sports Authority – 533 shares transferred and sold for $3,400.00. One of the smaller transactions, but since it was a Bain company, it should still count. Sports Authority was also sold on 1/28/2003, shortly after Mitt Romney was sworn in as governor of Massachusetts.
Marriott International – Over the course of 2003, the trust sold about 25,000 shares of Marriott International at a profit of $796,000.
Nutraceutical, Inc – Just over 28,000 shares were sold during 2003 for a net profit of $104,000.
Chippac, Inc. – 220 shares sold, $15,000 profit.
so, they made a profit from their charitable trust? a tax-free profit? just trying to understand the ‘charitable’ part. but completely understand why the robme family has such bright smiles.
what a fun night! and isn’t that rick scott leaning in to monitor bad-daddy’s reaction to pbo’s jokes? during the clip, you’ll see him watching trump, looking a bit worried. is it okay to laugh, bad-daddy?
Oprah Winfrey on Friday visited Mitt and Ann Romney in New Hampshire for an interview, the New York Times reports. The interview took place at the Romneys’ vacation home in Wolfeboro, and it will appear in Oprah’s magazine, O.
Anything that can ”humanize” him is wrong …..I don’t care if they represent the perfect family in a Duggar creepy way and some people can fall for it, it doesn’t change the fact that the man is a sociopath.
He was never a moderate and will never be a moderate, just the way he made his fortune is one of the best indication that he is cruel and heartless.
She’s no better with her hypocrisy and lies or comments like : They want to kill Mitt……yea right.
I won’t watch or read either. I am sure it will be nonstop talk among the corporate media. I like Oprah but I hate to say that her network does not appeal to me.
If they are hoping for some of the “Oprah Effect”, not sure they’re going to get it. IMO, her star bright light of influence is fading to irrelevance since her talk show ended and the lack of mega-success of her OWN channel has contributed to that.
I am the following:

Independent in all but primary elections. Closed elections are a BITCH! You have to keep re registering..I am now a lifetime Democrat.
South East Location.
We are the most populated part of the state. We will save Florida again in 2012. People are talking more and more about the elections in the grocery stores, bagel shops and restaurants.
Are they talking about the voter suppression and disenfranchisement? Your asshole gov? (I have one too) My dad lives in FL and he said people are pissed! Gov Scott will NOT be in office after this, he tells me…I need to open his eyes about this election…only watches TV and reads the newspaper and thinks he’s informed…I called him and asked if he knew about the TB outbreak and the issues surrounding that. He had NO IDEA. Said it wasn’t on TV or in the paper…..I rest my case:)
i’d forgotten that, rikyrah. r-money was highlighting that pbo sang from the african-american song book, but he sang from the all-american song book. not very subtle racist crap, and he made a fool of himself when the folks in his audience didn’t sing along as he thought they would. you know, leader of the nation, rousing sing-along. blech.
you know what’s going to be really great – Romney in London grabbing gobs of money from rich OS supporters – I mean that’s not gonna look so good is it? Also I bet there is some suspect stuff in his Olympic overseeing days. The guy’s a cheap chisler and just can’t help himself – I would bet $10,000 on it. Also lets not forget to spread the story of Ann’s horse drugging for a few extra bucks (a very bad look for her). They will try to use the OLympics as a way of cornering the market on American patriotism – let’s help keep that from happening.
you know, that drugged horse story got lost behind the bain mess. so did the fake police uniform, and gay bashing, the dog tied onto the car, and so on. we need to keep these stories alive, because r-money is not just a greedy cheater–he’s a dirty low-life. some folks will forgive him for making money–business isn’t pretty. but these other stories really round out the picture of his ‘character’.
That is a pretty wild drug panel. One of the reasons why you make sale contingent on good clinical vet exam AND the receipt of clean toxicology report. Delays finalizing sale by about 14 days (tox report does), but well worth it. But just Wow.
And what’s really striking here is that these are not back stretch fair circuit race horse trainers who have to eek out every dollar to eat and so anything goes. At the Romney’s economic level I have seen people operate with exemplary care for their animals, because they can and because they also believe that their deep pockets can assist with development of veterinary care techniques that will benefit all horses and even humans. They often say they owe it to the animal, to the sport, to science. The Romneys could easily have opted to have this horse given time/therapy to recover properly prior to sale or retired him to pleasantly eat grass for years and not felt it at all financially. Really just strange.
‘strange’? i’d use a stronger term, oxfarm, like ‘despicable’. thanks for the info on the sport, and the insight–yes, they could easily have afforded to care for this animal in a humane way. the fact that they placed the horse for sale, insuring that it would have to try to run on the bad hoof, tells us a lot about the romneys, i think. cruelty motivated by greed.
I use the term”strange” as in bizarre and unnecessary; it’s as if someone went through the meds chest and said WTF, inject a little this, inject a little that, whatever. Never mind some drugs in combination can badly hurt a horse, and never mind someone might run a tox report, and never mind we are selling this horse to someone we know and whose personal safety – as in life, btw – depends on the horse they are riding being sound.
I think the tax returns in the end will be just like this, some in this island, some in that island, bennies bennies everywhere, etc., etc., and that when all is said and done Mitt Romney realized a ZERO tax bill and even a REFUND in some years. I’ll bet you a syringe full of Xylazine. 😉
Obama’s ad team has come up with a very effective juxtaposition of sound and image in this ad. I have a PhD in Cinema Studies and one of the topics that I studied very seriously was the way in which sound can effect how we perceive images, making them more powerful in our minds. At the risk of stating the obvious, this ad was put together very carefully by people who really know what they are doing. There is much more than just good political messaging going on in this ad. This is one for the history books. In my opinion, people will be talking about this ad for years to come.
My absolute favorite part of this clip is right after they hand him the Mic and the expression on his face right before he starts singing. It’s like he’s saying to himself, “Dang it, I told them I didn’t want to sing!…ok then, let’s do this.” Then he comes in right on beat and on key. Luv my President. He is all that and a bag of chips… 🙂
Sabreen60, thank you so much for sharing this article with TOD members. I posted a request to amk before I got your post. I am glad I was not alone in thinking that Robert Perry’s article needed to be shared.
Chips – clever word play for the thread title. Didn’t strike this numbnutz till now. I am at airport now about to board a plane for 3 hour flight. Any pointers on how to jump the stewardesses ? 🙂
Hey, amk, I think you are entitled to some fun. We can’t let the ladies here have all the fun. Just be selective in the jokes you share with them. And, remember you can no longer call them “stewardesses.” They are female flight attendants.
Partner, head’s up! They don’t call the FLIGHT ATTENDANT’S…stewardesses anymore:) Haven’t flown in awhile, huh? 🙂 Chips can’t tell you how to jump the stewardesses…put she can give pointers on sitting with the pilot! safe travels…
Screw the PC. They will always be stewardesses and actresses for me. After all, they do have tresses and that’s what make them – them being wimmin- special. 🙂
She IS adorable … and she is smitten, I tell you. Yes, it is instant trust … and an instant crush. Look at her coquettish expression in that first picture. That sequence of pics with her and our President is pure enchantment!
At some point before this election, we (TODers) need to compile a picture diary of our PBO interacting with America’s Youngest on and off the campaign trail. We can scour the Internetz for images and I’m sure Chips has a ready supply of photos that can go towards this project. 🙂
I’m sure you all are all over this but wanted to post just in case. Mittens signed SEC docs from EDGAR 1/3/2000-2/22/2001.
“Filing these forms is how you tell the world I own a piece of this company and actually have some power in directing its business through my ownership stake.”
These forms are not filed anonymously. They are signed by someone known as the REPORTING PERSON.
You know Mom and Dad is going to have that picture for her till the day she realize that that guy was the President of the United States, not just some nice guy I met. Just like that 5 year old in the Oval Office who were touching President Obama’s hair to see if the President’s hair was like his. The First Lady was some where speaking recently when she talked about that picture.
You know one thing I have notice is how the President during his speeches now talks about how he and Michelle grew up. How they didn’t grow up with much. When he talked of his Mom, Grandmom, sister taking a vacation on Greyhound Bus, they stayed at Howard Johnson. What middle class or poor American doesn’t know about Greyhound bus. The house or was it an apartment Michelle and her family grew up in, about Michelle’s father. He is saying that Michelle and I can relate to where we come from because we’ve been there. Unlike Ann and Mitt.
I love hearing about Michelle’s father who had MS, but still didn’t miss a day of work. Whenever Michelle talks of her father you can hear the love and respect she had for her father.
I have been busy catching up on “The Newsroom”. Best TV I have watched in ages. If you don’t have HBO…you should really think about it if you can afford the extra every month. Well, well worth your time…unlike so much on the idiot box now!
And I won’t link to the orange place. but there is an excellent piece on the media that you should read if you decide to head over that way..It’s called, “Media, If You Can’t Do You’re Job…” Excellent piece…and one that we will all agree on.
I just caught up on my recorded episodes tonight, too. I think the political messages, and messages about the American society, media and apathy of the public are spot on. I hope it picks up traction. And I hope people in the media are watching and taking notes.
The Scott news was written up by the Tampa Bay Times:
After repeatedly refusing, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security agreed to open its database to the Department of State, which oversees Florida’s voter registration system. The state will now cross-check the names of Florida voters against a federal citizenship database known as SAVE, or Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements.
It wasn’t clear why Homeland Security changed course and the department had no comment Saturday. But the reversal comes after a federal judge in Florida refused to halt purge efforts.
The news is a victory for Republican Gov. Rick Scott, who has said the purge is necessary to guarantee fair elections. Democrats and voter advocacy groups have criticized Scott for the action, saying it is aimed at Democratic-leaning voters in an election year. Some groups filed lawsuits to block it.
–
This is why it is so close in Florida, yesterday’s poll is accurate with the President up 1! Because if Governor Scott and activist judges!
http://www.democraticunderground.com/1002950282. This is a great essay by someone to a conservative friend on why the writer supports the President. Should be shared ! Captures why so many of us love and admire him
this is an excellent letter, and perfect for sharing with the ‘undecided’. gets all the facts, and also includes the intangibles. thanks for posting, taiping!
I wonder what she said to bring out all those laughs. I can see the mischievous intelligence in her eyes. The entire series of photos that our chips posted has been saved to my ‘puter.
PBO with kids simply rocks. No other pol can come even close to him.
I just found this on my FB page. (Shared by TPPP). The new rage is to say that the government is the cause of all our problems and if we had no government, we’d have no problems. I can tell you that contradicts evidence, history and common sense.~~WJClinton.
I wrote that down & put my husband’s name w/it because that will be something good to share w/him. He’s one of the R’s that has that philosophy–that government can’t do anything right, that they mess up everything, etc. He tends to throw in a comment w/that message whenever he sees an opening to do so. Yet, a few years ago our Life Group spent the entire month of November writing down things we were thankful for and I remember he had things like the national parks (of course, he would be thankful for that) 🙂 and the roads and highways and police……things like that. So, he tends to do what many R’s do–talk out of both sides of his mouth.
btw, he is currently in VT on his AT hike; will go into NH Tuesday morning. He is worried about the Whites……knows his going will be SLOW through those mountains.
GN everyone
Congrats criquet on #1!
Congrats, criquet!
Heart melting. Evening Criquet, evening all.
Evening Chips. Thanks for the pic-she is adorable!.
I am sure that photo will be in her life forever. Parents will hace it up on the wall in no time.
This is my fave pic to date, Chips! 🙂
Sooo adorable! What a little pumpkin!
Have a good Saturday night, everyone. 🙂
What a darling photo. The way she is reaching for him is almost symbolic of all of us trying to hold on to what is left of our country after the Bush wrecking ball almost destroyed it.
Wow – that darling child is a ringer for Obama daughter # 3. No wonder she wanted him to hold her.
This pic brought tears to my eyes! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
Hope you have a good evening, criquet!
Yes thanks, Bobfr.
Keep up the great work -you are an inspiration .
Congrats C
I knew you’d love that photo of the little girl, Chips!!!
And …
Yes, Bobfr – and Chips – that little girl is amazing! She’ll steal some hearts (other than the President’s!) some fine day!
She’s already stolen quite a few, Jacqueline!!!!
Mine too! Already featured her on my FB page!
The series of pictures with her in it are a little “story”. See the smile she gives PBO as he passes? Then he stops and she reaches out. Wow!
Here’s the Pres campaigning in the rain while Mitts cruises around in his power boat!

Thank you, dear friend!!
Wow!
Enjoy!
US
Next week’s gonna be E-P-I-C.
I love that picture of the little cutie pie waving at President Obama.
The Romney campaign is going to have Ms. Ann dash a bucket of water on Willard while he’s campaigning to make it seem like he’s rain soaked, and then have a hired staffer hug a soaking Mitt for camera…
That’s sounds like something his campaign would dream up. Don’t give them any ideas!
the romneys unzipped!
oh, please, not that! 🙂
Eeww. To quote Jaden Smith from the latest version of “The Karate Kid”, “hmm, That’s nasty….” But actually if Ms. Ann throws water on Mittens it will short circuit his robotics and battery pack, non? Maybe that would be a good thing after all! 🙂
Oh, boy. Wet pics.
Ok, see you gals next week.
P.S. – Love that cutie potatie. Especially the way she wants to hug him.
Lil’ girl gets a pass, but big girls go straight to naughty mat!
Wet pics? I’m calm.
Thanks hf, jb and r11.
It’s been such a good news (GN) day . That ad “Firms” has supporters of PBO fired up and the other side in shock.
The stupid RWNJ seemed to believe their own spin on PBO and once again he has outsmarted them and delivered a gut -wrenching blow .
Yessss, love it.
Ha…in Romney’s words “a kick to the gut” 😀
or as wolcott says, ‘a sneaky jab that completely shatters mitt’s glass jaw.’
and…
‘it’s clear that the obama campaign strategy is to hit romney hard early, define and diminish him in the public imagination with cartoon clarity, and send him into the republican convention with a dan quayle deer-in-the-headlights look that conveys the unbearable lightness of completely lost.’
http://www.vanityfair.com/online/wolcott/2012/07/Mitt-Romney-Worlds-Worst-Lounge-Singer
*that conveys the unbearable lightness of completely lost*
Somebody finally came up with a good description of Mitt, in one little ol’ phrase.
It’s who he is.
thanks for the great photos, chips. i love to see our president enjoying the people, and being out among his supporters. he has so many hard days and nights of reading and meetings and airplanes and such. he deserves all the love being showered on him!
and that rain is a blessing on all present!
Mother Nature is Fired Up and ready to go for our President.
Good, we are going to need everybody, and Mother nature won’t be turn away.
Yippee a new thread. Thanks Chips!
I just checked the “Firm” video and it has almost 400,000 views. Its gone viral folks!
OMG Donna, the last time I looked, it had 162k views. 🙂
Chip, those are some wonderful pictures. It is so heart warming to see the people both old and young reach out to hold to our President.
Chips, give us more pictures……
Just some thoughts from tweets off of Paul’s time line from tweeter.
Paul Begala@PaulBegala
I hate to use the word “lie.” But how else do you describe Romney’s, umm, evolving story on Bain?
Scientists call it the Romney Uncertainty Principle. Whether he was there or not depends on whether he was being observed.
Killer ad from Obama camp.
@ @PaulBegala I wouldn’t believe #mitt if his tongue was notarized.
I wish everyone wet dreams *excuse* me, I meant to say sweet dreams tonight. Good night TOD family.
Gnite, but I’m afraid you bed tonight will be the naughty mat me4!!
They have not made a naughty mat big enough for this day!
This is what America the Beautiful really looks like!
LOL
Great thread! Just look at all those people – young, old, all the diversity. How lucky and happy are we that we have a candidate we LOVE.
THIS!!!
If anyone can honestly look at those pictures and not be moved, then that person does not have a soul or a beating heart. That’s all I have to say.
Indeed, meta!
Agree … and, you make the cogent analysis very entertaining, as well 🙂
I agree. Ha ha ha!
My Gov takes no prisoners! I know it’s Politico, but………
He has been “SEVERELY” (and consistently) FIERCE on the Sunday shows.
He’s just some damn human. I adore him. Love this video
http://thepoliticalcarnival.net/2012/07/14/video-pres-obama-campaigns-in-va-downpour-ladies-i-do-apologize-for-your-hairdos-getting-messed-up/
I saw that! So cute. He is too much. But you know he’s right! Some of you ladies don’t like getting your hair wet! LOL. I saw that in the Chris Rock documentary. I always wonder why black American women didn’t like to get their hair wet, now I know. 🙂
I read the article earlier Bill and was agreeing on each points, each questions…….so many lies, it’s hard to keep track….he won’t get away with it
The little girl has intense adorability – (my word) She Is too cute for words but her response can be for no one else but POTUS BHO. No one else can come close. F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C!!!!!!!!
I bet you $100,000 Bain/mitt bucks she will be featured in the morning papers of VA…
That little girl is beautiful! 😀
And the beauty about the photo is everyone smiling around her..
Is she ever!!!….those pictures are amazing.

Truth spoken, jacquelinoboomer. Truth spoken. HZ
It’s a superb essay.
I thought you would like that Bobfr. Very well written. Nicely done.
There is nothing else to say. Creamer hits the nail on the head. Squarely. With authority.
Now I have to go see if I have afew more dollars to send in to the Obama campaign. Make sure all my family, friends, and neighbors is register.
Some amusement here …
Amazing comments!
Yes, I loved that question, Christi, it goes right to the heart of it and shows the double game Romney plays.
Just want to say how awesome this site is!
Welcome drdaddy1970
we love you back:)
Just a thought in one of the interviews which I believe was NBC, the mitt the fraudster said he won’t release more than 2 yrs of taxes because he doesn’t want them used for opposition research. If you don’t have anything to hide and there is nothing illegal, why would Willard mitt romney care?
the only honorable reason to withhold them, that i can think of, is that the tax returns would demonstrate some shady dealings on the part of his family. if it’s just his own shady dealings, then he should man up. if he doesn’t reveal the documents, and he wants us to believe he’s an honest man, then we have to assume his wife and/or children are crooks.
well, mitt….which is it?

That’s my team. Fuck lord forquad and the phony poutrage horse he rode in.

You betcha. Also. Too.

ROFL! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!
That was roll my eyes toward the back of my head funny! Love that, amk! 😀 ;D 😀
I like living in a world where the Black Guy doesn’t have to apologize anymore for telling the truth to the Rich Entitled White Guy.
THIS!
BOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!
Hell Yeah! It’s a bloody beautiful world!
Hell yeah!!!!!!
New words in the 2012 political dictionary now being used by the “left” who used to say such -ve things about PBO.
They are now crowing about PBO Swissboating and/or Swiftyachting W Mitt Romney.
One can only hope this attitude continues and they do something useful like voting and getting others to vote as well.
I saw those comments on Reddit…they need to put that new found enthusiasm to work! I don’t want them lying around while we work are asses off, and then take credit when Nov comes…they’ve been bitchin’ about one thing or another for the last 3 and 1/2 years…GET TO WORK!
Well, of course, they won’t say. They haven’t had time to figure out the group lie, yet.
I truly do love the way Willard is distancing himself from the one thing he hoped to use as a strength. Talk about turning a strength into a weakness. #swiftboat
God, I love this President and that interaction with the little girl just gives us a glimpse of how loved he is and how much he loves people.
The authorities expect to file charges against at least one bank later this year, one of the officials said.
http://dealbook.nytimes.com/2012/07/14/u-s-is-building-criminal-cases-in-rate-fixing/
If AG Holder can arrest some friggin bankers before nov, that would be perfect.
#BainMitt’s BFF Bob ‘Barclays’ Diamond had best not travel to the USA anytime in the near future 🙂
It’s all turning into an exquisite indictment on people like Romney and his cronies, writ large.
Cole is continuing his dissection of Kessler over at BJ. Love that these so-called fact checkers are being exposed as frauds. Heh.
Yes siree!!
Can some thoughtful person explain to me what BJ is? I’m floundering a bit here trying to follow this story.
Balloon Juice: http://www.balloon-juice.com/2012/07/15/deja-vu-all-over-again-6/
The Banks are so sensitive, if you arrest any of them, they will freeze up credit, stop what little lending they have and send us back into a double dip.
What is more likely, is a settlement to consumers. That is already happening in many areas, the latest was MasterCard!
Yeah, the article talks about the kinds of settlements that are likely.
Exactly
I won’t let go of the fact that Operation LABSCAM busted Damon within days of when #BainMitt sold it to Corning in August, 1993.
No debate about whether #BainMitt was in the Bain drain in 1993 as last I checked that’s six years before 1999 🙂
I hope the Obama TruthTeam will leverage some of the money Adelson wasted on Gingrich because the video is very well done 🙂
This video truly deserves 100s of thousands of views ….
You can just imagine the sphincter muscles tightening up throughout the Republican Party establishment as they watch this devastating report. It’s just astonishing. And to think the Quitter From Wasilla says we didn’t properly vet President Obama in 2008.
You bet they’re tense!!! And, with AG Holder & Company drilling into LIBOR – Barclays, GS, JPMorgan … all the fat cat Casino Capitalists are likely lawyering up, big time 🙂
Please, let’s R/T the hell out of that one! Crush the lies out there.
I think Mitt Romney and his new best buddy Donald Trump and all the birthers should apologize to President Obama.
Their hypocrisy is sickening……
Because allowing your campaign bus to run circles around crowds and convention halls is so very dignified and presidential, right? Ef’fer.
John Cole at BJ tears glenn effing kessler a new one
http://www.balloon-juice.com/2012/07/14/glenn-kessler-gives-himself-three-pinnochios/
Sabreen 60 posted that article down thread. It’s a good read.
Thank you purpleshoesla for letting me know. Great thanks to Sabreen 60 for posting it here.
Good Night all. I guess POTUS will take tomorrow off for some rest before he gets back on the road again. Do anyone know when the First Lady will be going to London for the Olympics?
Goodnight, anniebella!
I’m remembering the fact that throughout the Republican primaries PBO and his team had their sights set on Romney the whole time. They knew it would be him and I think they relished the idea. They knew it would come to this eventually. Smart, long-term strategic thinking. I can’t wait to see what’s waiting in the wings.
Meta, you are such a keen observer! You are absolutely right that President Obama’s team had, from the beginning, determined that Romney will eventually be the GOP nominee. Consequently, the team was so laser focused on how to run against him. I think we are now in phase one of their “strategic” planning: Undermining Romney’s calling card as a this great businessman who believes in America and would somehow rescue the economy. Although they have now and then alluded to it, I think phase two will focus on his governorship. I am sure they will expose his mediocre record as the one term Governor of Massachusetts –his only stint as a public official–which will show that he is not equipped to be President. The final phase– phase three– will focus on all the idiotic extreme right wing positions he has embraced, especially his unqualified support of the Ryan budget and his signing Grover Norquist’s pledge never to raise taxes. Obviously, I am merely speculating about phases two and three as I am absolutely not privy to the President’s team’s campaign strategy. But, it’s very clear to me that this magnificent team knows exactly where it wants to go and have mapped the best road to get there. I am so glad the people running the President’s campaign refused to listen to all the pundits, and Democratic arm chair advisors, who were always in a panic mode, telling them to do this or that. I am also glad that most of us on this blog always trusted the judgement of the President and his team. By the way, thank you so much for the wonderful job you doing on twitter fighting on behalf of President Obama.
I’ve been trying to remember the name of this Stevie Wonder song all day! The lyrics are SPOT ON for what’s happening with Willlard the Liar right now. I tried posting a video from youtube, but to no avail. Maybe someone else can do for me! Thanks!
Stevie Wonder – Skeletons Lyrics
Skeletons in your closet
Itchin’ to come outside
Messin’ with your conscience
In a way your face can’t hide
Oh things are gettin’ real funky
Down at the old corral
And it’s not the skunks that are stinkin’
IT’S THE STINKIN’ LIES YOU TELL!
[Bridge]
What did your mama tell you about lies
She said it wasn’t polite to tell a white one
What did your daddy tell you about lies
He said one white lie turns into a black one
So, it’s gettin’ ready to blow
It’s gettin’ ready to show
Somebody shot off at the mouth and
We’re getting ready to know
It’s gettin’ ready to drop
It’s gettin’ ready to shock
Somebody done turned up the heater
An’ a it’s gettin’ ready to pop
Crevices in your pantry
Now what do we have in here
Havin’ a day time nightmare
Has always been your biggest fear
Oh things are gettin’ real crucial
Up the old wazoo
YET YOU CRY, WHY AM I THE VICTIM
WHEN THE CULPRITS Y-O-U!
[Bridge]
What did your mama tell you about lies
She said it wasn’t polite to tell a white one
What did your daddy tell you about lies
He said one white lie turns into a black one
So, it’s gettin’ ready to blow
It’s gettin’ ready to show
Somebody shot off at the mouth and
We’re gettin’ ready to know
It’s gettin’ ready to drop
It’s gettin’ ready to shock
Somebody done turning the heater
An’ a it’s gettin’ ready to pop
It’s gettin’ ready to seep
You’re gettin’ ready to freak
Somebody done picked up the talk box
And gettin’ ready to speak
It’s gettin’ ready to jive
It’s gettin’ ready to gel
Somebody done gone let the lid off
And it’s gettin’ ready to smell
They’re gettin’ ready to deal
You’re gettin’ ready to ill
Somebody done just dropped the big dime
And they’re gettin’ ready to squeal
It’s gettin’ ready to turn
We’re gettin’ ready to learn
Somebody done fired up the brimstone
And you’re gettin’ ready to burn
It’s gettin’ ready to shake
You’re gettin’ ready to ache
Somebody done snitched to the news crew
And it’s gettin’ ready to break
You’re gettin’ ready to lie
They’re gettin’ ready to spy
Somebody’ s been put on the hot seat
And you’re gettin’ ready to fry
LOVE this song! Perfect, isn’t it? “It’s the stinkin’ lies you tell…”
Somebody done fired up the brimstone
And you’re gettin’ ready to burn!
LOL! Stevie is the man!

Perrrrfect! Forgot about this song!
It was that kind of day!

ChristiMTL , John Cole penned a devastating critique of Glenn Kessler; and so did Robert Perry at Consortiumnews.
The fact checker is a liar.
I wonder if he cried real tears with all that whining. Any pushback he got was well-deserved. He should have his journalism license revoked.
OBAMA2012!!

David Kurtz…talking about why PBO’s “Firms” ad is so effective. Good little read.

OBAMA 2012 !!!!
Here is a terrific post about Mitt Romney’s Bain problem and tax returns.
http://politicalgates.blogspot.com/2012/07/barack-obama-vs-mitt-romney-battle-of.html
EXACTLY Theo67!
the evil villain in what’s likely to be the biggest box office movie of this summer, Batman, is named “bane” and he blows up new york city and all other kinds of mayhem. how hilarious is it that the same word is what’s being attached to the mittbot at the exact same time?!? people will be associated “bane” with “bain.” perfect!
Now THAT is amazing!!!
if only i knew a twitter ninja to help get that message out there. hmmmm….
just watched this again, and thought you might enjoy the memories, and the laughs. love our prez!!!!
He was especially wonderful that night!
isn’t it awesome to see how he was then, and know that’s the same incredible man running the free world right now? funny, handsome, brilliant, generous, and at peace in his own life.
Well said, susanne. Don’t you just love him?
yes i do!!!
Can’t wait for this year’s dinner!
Holy shit, Bainman!

– 220 shares sold, $15,000 profit.
so, they made a profit from their charitable trust? a tax-free profit? just trying to understand the ‘charitable’ part. but completely understand why the robme family has such bright smiles.
i should say, ‘had’ such bright smiles. 🙂
Somebody done gone let the lid off
And it’s gettin’ ready to smell!
Can’t forget this!!
what a fun night! and isn’t that rick scott leaning in to monitor bad-daddy’s reaction to pbo’s jokes? during the clip, you’ll see him watching trump, looking a bit worried. is it okay to laugh, bad-daddy?
Yes. Wuss. “Is Mr. Trump laughing? Should I laugh, ‘cuz that was funny as hell!” Still an idiot.
It certainly looked like it!
Yes, joanshaw that is Gov. Scott of FL. Sure thing.HZ
Stomped like a bug! SQUISH!!! 😀
Oprah Interviews Ann And Mitt Romney
Oprah Winfrey on Friday visited Mitt and Ann Romney in New Hampshire for an interview, the New York Times reports. The interview took place at the Romneys’ vacation home in Wolfeboro, and it will appear in Oprah’s magazine, O.
Yuck! Lets visit the charming couple….
I won’t be watching.
You and me both!
Thanks for nothing Mrs. O. You can count on me not buying your magazine. YUKE.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
More, drip, drip, drip….

Over ruled! Leading the witness, your Honor!

we have family that says, bush was christian, so all he did was righteous. end of discussion.
and yes, we don’t talk with them about anything but the wonderful peach pie aunty made.
I don’t know if this has been brought up, but there is a wicked karma going on here.
Willard only sang America the Beautiful, because he was trying to imitate the President after he sang Al Green.
That the campaign would turn around and then use his mimicking the President against him in this way….
Karma remains undefeated.
i’d forgotten that, rikyrah. r-money was highlighting that pbo sang from the african-american song book, but he sang from the all-american song book. not very subtle racist crap, and he made a fool of himself when the folks in his audience didn’t sing along as he thought they would. you know, leader of the nation, rousing sing-along. blech.
okay saturday night crowd! how about some fun? just thinking about pbo singing and i have to hear it!
He actually sang it in exactly the right key! I’ve never heard the two versions at exactly the same time. Is there anything this man can’t do!?
you know what’s going to be really great – Romney in London grabbing gobs of money from rich OS supporters – I mean that’s not gonna look so good is it? Also I bet there is some suspect stuff in his Olympic overseeing days. The guy’s a cheap chisler and just can’t help himself – I would bet $10,000 on it. Also lets not forget to spread the story of Ann’s horse drugging for a few extra bucks (a very bad look for her). They will try to use the OLympics as a way of cornering the market on American patriotism – let’s help keep that from happening.
you know, that drugged horse story got lost behind the bain mess. so did the fake police uniform, and gay bashing, the dog tied onto the car, and so on. we need to keep these stories alive, because r-money is not just a greedy cheater–he’s a dirty low-life. some folks will forgive him for making money–business isn’t pretty. but these other stories really round out the picture of his ‘character’.
it’s horrifying, and slipping out of circulation.
http://www.buzzfeed.com/rosiegray/ann-romneys-high-horse
‘strange’? i’d use a stronger term, oxfarm, like ‘despicable’. thanks for the info on the sport, and the insight–yes, they could easily have afforded to care for this animal in a humane way. the fact that they placed the horse for sale, insuring that it would have to try to run on the bad hoof, tells us a lot about the romneys, i think. cruelty motivated by greed.
and furthermore……they should be disqualified from olympic competition!
‘One For The History Books’
By David Kurtz
—————————-
Obama’s ad team has come up with a very effective juxtaposition of sound and image in this ad.

I love this.
Yep. The second time I ‘watched it’ I intentionally only listened without watching the video … we’re talking Academy Award folks 🙂
Yes he is!!!

This was a good read. Thanks for posting.
Sabreen60, thank you so much for sharing this article with TOD members. I posted a request to amk before I got your post. I am glad I was not alone in thinking that Robert Perry’s article needed to be shared.
Hilarious!
I bet impish Gibbs is the in-house jokester in his campaign team.
Chips – clever word play for the thread title. Didn’t strike this numbnutz till now. I am at airport now about to board a plane for 3 hour flight. Any pointers on how to jump the stewardesses ? 🙂
Amk! C’mon now fess up… u do this for the shock value don’t ya. Make sure us night owls are still awake around here! 😆 Safe travels.
What, chips and vc can jump the pilots and I can’t do the same to the stewardesses ?
wimmin/
Hey, amk, I think you are entitled to some fun. We can’t let the ladies here have all the fun. Just be selective in the jokes you share with them. And, remember you can no longer call them “stewardesses.” They are female flight attendants.
No! I think Chips was terrified…you’re just being spunky. Big difference!
We’re special…I’ll give you that:)
Df, I see we are on the same page about FA! My brother amk needs to get with it.
I don’t think he’s going that route, nathkatun:) As long as he’s respectful…I can let it slide…he’s so “old fashioned” that way 🙂
I just kid, nath & df. Tacky is my middle name. 🙂
sSweet little girl is adorable. I love the way she reaches out to him. It’s instant trust. She just knows.
She IS adorable … and she is smitten, I tell you. Yes, it is instant trust … and an instant crush. Look at her coquettish expression in that first picture. That sequence of pics with her and our President is pure enchantment!
One of the best sequences of obama & kids pics. She is adorable. That’s three adorables. The ayes have it.

A soaking-wet President Barack Obama got a hug and an admiring look from 4-year-old Kaiah Hill of Richmond after speaking in Glen Allen on Saturday

This is why it is so close in Florida, yesterday’s poll is accurate with the President up 1! Because if Governor Scott and activist judges!
http://www.democraticunderground.com/1002950282. This is a great essay by someone to a conservative friend on why the writer supports the President. Should be shared ! Captures why so many of us love and admire him
THANK YOU! THANK YOU for sharing that. Just printed AND bookmarked. IF I could write that that 🙂 I would have said everything this says.
btw, good morning, TOD family.
this is an excellent letter, and perfect for sharing with the ‘undecided’. gets all the facts, and also includes the intangibles. thanks for posting, taiping!

Absolutely beautiful! Our TODer Michelle upthread predicted that she would be on a front page!! 🙂

I bet you $100,000 Bain/mitt bucks she will be featured in the morning papers of VA…//
She was? Weill, hold onto that front page and put it in a photo album. Right?
Heads Up TOD: Pres. Obama and FL Michelle Obama are on CBS News Sunday Morning. Check your local listings.
Fantastic ut. Thanks for the reminder!
BTW, PBO will be in Austin sometime next week…if you’re not there in person, maybe you could give us a scoop on what the local papers are saying 🙂
Good morning, TODville! How about a Sunday morning laugh?!
Morning everyone:
