Hey Chips…Gallup has PBO at 51% approval and 45% disapproval. He gained 6 pts overnight. Gosh what a terrible horrible June PBO is having. I know its noise…but its so sweet rubbing this in the face of the press.

If we continue to raise our voices above the cash we can be heard. I think the rise in numbers shows that there are good and decent folks in this country who do not like the hatred towards this good and decent man. Congrats on 1st!

I turned your wonderful words into a tweet. “The rise in poll #’s shows that there R good & decent folks in this country who don’t like the hatred towards this good & decent man, PBO”

Not enough room to give you credit. But thank you for your voice!

Hilarious, LOL! There’ll be major ‘readjusting’ at Gallup over the next few days, they’ll have PBO at 26% by Wednesday!!!

Jodi Kantor said Willard had the best week of any politician last week because of his successful bus trip. And the New York Times pays her a salary.

She’s further exposing why no one with a brain wants to read her lying book about the Obamas. We knew it then and it’s even more obvious everytime she opens her disingenuous mouth and writes stupid shite like this. She’s nothing more than a vapid propaganda tool.

        • June 24, 2012 at 2:09 pm

Also heard that poll indicates that 40% are not aware that Willard is Mormon. No comment other than I don’t understand how people could not have picked up that tidbit somewhere along the way.

Someone posted a link earlier about 12 things Americans believe – one of the 12 things was that 20% of Americans still believe that the sun revolves around the earth. Nothing can surprise me after seeing that…

The Obama campaign is all over this. This guy being a “numbers” guy is irrelevant. I’ll put him up against Plouffe any day of the week. Plus Mitt is a lousy candidate and he needs more than a “numbers” guy.

    • June 24, 2012 at 2:47 pm

Things Black Presidents (and First Ladies) Are Not Allowed to Do

The growing list – according to Republicans and Republican-leaning media – of things white Presidents and their first ladies can do, but black ones can’t:

Thanks, Ladyhawke! Glad I wondered into that site..I started adding comments too.

“The site’s Greg Pinelo is a Democratic and progressive strategist/admaker, Cuban-American, Kentucky native and Oberlin College graduate. Guitar, sports and Apple enthusiast. My opinions are my own. And they are all 100% correct.”

This is what he had to say in addition to his Original Post..found in the comments section..

“A lively exchange to say the least. Some of what I wrote in the original post was tongue in cheek. But most of it wasn’t. My fundamental point is that basic respect and legitimacy conferred to white Presidents has been denied President Obama. The fact that his birth certificate is being debated, the fact that his college achievements are being questioned, the fact that his use of executive orders is attacked, even though he’s used them far less than Bush, the fact that some Republicans seem to think he should be impeached, that they stoop so low as to criticize his wife’s appearance in, yes, racist terms — all these things speak to a subtext that even though Barack Obama is the duly elected President, he doesn’t deserve the rights and privileges that accompany the office. And I call B.S. on that.”

I call total BS on it too!! It says everything about the gops being DICKS..exactly what’s being discussed on PoliticusUSA as per Bill Mahers’ show.

The MSM carries the water of the REPublicans….not sure whose water the PL is carrying…but all the tales of doom and gloom…all the tales of impending defeat….all the tales of he is not doing enough and disappointment….can be trying to an Obamabot like myself…

but when I go into the community….and do voter registration….when i make calls and talk to my neighbors….when i feel the enthusiasm of the folks at the campaign headquarters…i am encouraged…i am refreshed…

often the media pundits talk about the issues in the 3rd person…but when you talk to a person who is out of work…who just lost their benefits…you understand in real terms why PBO needs to be reelected…

TONS! One thing that stood out http://nymag.com/news/politics/mitt-romney-2011-10/index3.html

Even by the standards of the times, Bain Capital grew tremendously fast: from $37 million under management in 1984 to $500 million in 1994 (and $65 billion today). To other businesses, the buyout industry both presented a model for better profits and posed a take-over threat. “Having the private-equity guys out there disciplined other companies,” says Nick Bloom, a Stanford economist. Some techniques developed in the buyout laboratory spread. Productive workers and managers were rewarded, while unproductive ones were cut loose. Corporations realigned themselves to deliver more value to their shareholders, increasing dividend payments and stock buybacks. Within a decade, ordinary businesses were giving large stock and option packages to CEOs. Executive compensation soared. “These Bain Capital guys,” says Neil Fligstein, an economics-sociology professor at the University of California, Berkeley, “were agents of the shareholder value revolution.” By the mid-nineties, The Business Roundtable had changed its definition of the role of a company, winnowing a broad set of responsibilities down to a single one: increasing shareholder value.

        June 24, 2012 at 2:49 pm

Nah…. Stain is better. Bain Capital and the damage they’ve caused is a stain on society. Their sociopathic tendencies are a stain on society; especially the middle and working class.

http://nymag.com/news/politics/mitt-romney-2011-10/index4.html All part of the same article:

After the plant closed, the head of its union, Randy Johnson, tried to keep track of where everyone went. He assembled a roster of the destinations of his former colleagues—some moved to Tennessee, some to Texas—but the effort was incomplete, and what Johnson compiled was only a partial catalogue of loss. It’s difficult to track the fallout of any one private-equity firm’s work, but scholars have been able to look at the conesquences of the industry as a whole. These studies have consistently found that private-equity takeovers improve productivity and shed jobs. But one interesting nineties study, by two academics, Don Siegel at SUNY Stony Brook and Frank Lichtenberg at Columbia, found something surprising: White-collar workers, for the first time, were more vulnerable than blue-collar workers. “Part of what the private-equity firms were doing was replacing office workers with information technology—that’s where they were getting some of their gains,” says Siegel, now the dean of the University of Albany’s business school.

Vice President Joe Biden is planning a two-day swing through eastern Iowa that the Obama campaign is billing as the “Strengthening the Middle Class Tour.”

Biden will hit Waterloo on Tuesday and Dubuque on Wednesday. He also has an event in Clinton.

“[T]he Vice President will discuss how President Obama is helping create an economy built to last – one focused on reclaiming the security of the rural middle class and restoring the basic values of hard work and fair play that made our country great,” the campaign said in an announcement.

“Vice President Biden will also lay out the clear economic choice in this election–between the President’s vision for moving our country forward, ensuring an economy built to last and economic security for the middle class, and Mitt Romney’s vision, which would take us back to the same failed economic policies that brought on the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.”
