Ok, while Twitter is being fixed, I shall continue planning my wine trip to Paso Robles next month. One of the wineries saw my tweet, loved my avatar, and said I’d have to let them know when wifey and I will be stopping by.
Which wineries are planning to visit?
Mostly on 46W, some east of the 101. Plotting it out right now. Peachy Canyon, because they tweeted me. Treana. I love Paso Robles, because most of the wineries either have complimentary tasting, or charge only $5 for tasting. Much better than Napa.

Dorothy Hamill? Never knew she was a republican. All these pundits like Mary Matalin should not be allowed to spout their hate and GOP talking points on tv. And isn’t it against the law for Romney to be coordinating with Rove?

I thought that about Dorothy Hamill too. I always loved the haircut she had that would look so great when she would tip her head back on her spins.
Don’t be….Do you remember the AA figure staker Debi Thomas? Well Dorothy Hamill always gave negative remarks about her. I think she was one of the judges either during the olympic trials or the winter olympics and DH was pulling for the Russion skaters over Debi Thomas the AA USA skater. It was so obvious that someone must have told her people were complaining and she started saying a few nice things about Debi. Of course Debi handled it with such grace because she went on to Stanford and on to medical school. Dorothy Hamil is some washed up has been olympic skater as her only claim to fame.
Also sad about that—–but after checking, I see she grew up in ultra-wealthy Greenwich, Ct.—-saw some photo where she’s giving Laura Bush a lifetime achievement award——had at least a financial relationship with Pat Robertson—horrors—-sold Ice Capades to his Family Entertainment empire. Is on 3rd marriage. One daughter from 2nd marriage. Still wonder what she’s doing on that despicable list—-maybe she’s getting paid big bucks to be a speaker——-but still—-on a list of haters. Gross.

While I want to be gracious and say that everyone has a right to his/her political leanings and to go where you think the power is, the other part of me wants to demand that she turn in her official Black Girl card. How an educated woman who has lived through the last 50+ years in this country, raised in the South during some of its most turbulent times and is very aware of history, can still support and work to advance the republican cause, especially since the few moderates have fallen to the Tea party thugs. She is on the wrong side of history. Hope she comes to her senses before she becaomes even more of a sad joke.

Mitt Romney may be known to most people in the country as the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, the former governor of Massachusetts and the co-founder of Bain Capital. But in his own heart, he’s just an author. And he’s self-employed.
When people donate more than $200 to a candidate or committee, they are required to provide a bit of personal information for the Federal Elections Commission: name, address, occupation and employer go along with how much money they donate.
According to his June campaign filing, Romney and his wife, Ann, each donated $2,500 to the Romney for Victory Committee — a joint fundraising account for the campaign and the Republican National Committee — which was then transferred to Romney for President on May 15.
Ann, who has been outspoken about her stay-at-home-mom status, not surprisingly lists herself as a “homemaker.”
Romney, however, lists himself as “self-employed.” His occupation? “Author.”
The former governor is now apparently digging deeper into his passion for writing, since on his 2011 income tax return, he listed a broader principal profession: “independent artists, writers, performers.”
In June 2011, however, Romney told a group of unemployed Floridians that he was “also unemployed.”
Looks like he’s gotten back on his feet in the past year.

Good Morning/Afternoon Chips any my TOD Family. I am back to calm today. I have a Big Thank You first to our beautiful Chipsticks.
Chips thank you for giving me the opportunity to do my First fundraiser here with those I love so much. I am so excited to tell you all what just happen. I submitted my page to OFA on June 19th, and being that is my first doing an individual fundraiser( I donate monthly personally) this brought up so many new questions and learning experiencing. Oh, I started my page on the June 9th and had reached my first goal in less than 24hrs. , and the entire thing in 9 days. Thanks so much donors. I love you all.
My first goal was 250.00, then 350.00 and then our wonderful amk for obama encouraged me to raise it as well as meta and cookemom. So I did. I finally set it at $444.00(4 more for # 44.) and finally I raised $509.00. thanks to my TOD family. You all are soooooooooooooooo wonderful to this little senior.
As I was calling a few minutes ago, I spoke with a 76 year old beautiful young lady, and she said, “HZ, you have inspired me to do this.” She said that as soon as she finishes her duties at OFA today, she will be going home and starting a fundraiser page!. Isn’t that exciting? I am so elated.
So with Chips permission, I hope to do another one maybe smaller. So thank you to all who donated to my page. I sent out all of my thank you notes as the donations came in. So (((((((((((((((((((( Thank You All So Much))))))))))))))))) for putting your arms around me and making this a first and great experience for me. I love you Chips and my beautiful TOD family. I also gave a shout out for our site. She was impressed.

We really just wanted to extend a warm Wisconsin welcome to their tour, where they are highlighting the human side of politics by reminding people that the poor are the most asymmetrically affected by the current systematic dismantling of public services. We were delighted with their response. “See you on the bridge Tuesday night!”

Heeelllloooo Os!!!! It’s a much needed, but still a great getting up rainy day in my part of TODville! I’ve been missing most of the political shows lately (so many pundits, so little time). What I have been able to see and hear has been most encouraging for the good guys.
My political take for today is that although the SCOTUS has ruled that money is free speech, but money can not equal votes. We have to GOTV so that they spend all that money for nothing.

Yeah, the creep Jow Walsh is going down. To show you how smart he and his campaign is, I got mailed an invite to a town hall meeting he is having to discuss how high gas prices are ruining the recovery and what cn be done about it. As of today, oil is under $80/barrel and prices in our area ar 7o cents below what they were a couple months ago. His timing is fantastic.
