Well, I hope Krystal Ball stays Krystal Ball and doesn’t get “host-itis” like MHP did.

I’m half-afraid that might happen. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it won’t.

Something happens to these people once they have a show. Steady income do you think? And then I wonder how much Comcast has to do with programing now.

MHP is ok, she’s a progressive and I love her show. She is fair and delivers many views of the progressives. Remember, MHP is a teacher and must give her students a very accurate account of the facts. Let up please, as progressives we all have some different views depending on the topic.

When I saw Krystal on Lawrence last night I wanted to tweet her (I don’t have that capability) to tell her not to try so hard when he gave her something to read on the teleprompter because her eyebrows were going up and down in a crazy manner that was disturbing. Her normal behavior is more relaxed and natural.

Why doesn’t the media write as many articles about romney not releasing his taxes like they did the President’s birth certificate? Everyday major news outlet would publish trash from any nut that questioned the President’s birth place. But, no one cares about romney’s taxes. No twitter ambush… nothing.

I Had to de lurk to say that I remember when I was buying my first home I had to show the bank 3 years of tax returns to be approved for the mortgage. Now a Presidential candidate running for the most powerful position in the world want to insult us and show the voters only his doctored 2010 and 2011 tax returns. I believe that Rob-mey made a killing between 2007-2009 when the stock market crashed, we need to know what he did then. If this was President Obama the media would be calling him a tax evader, dishonest and un American, especially if he had stashed millions off-shore to avoid paying US taxes. The dishonest media is giving Mitt a big pass here.

Happy that MSNBC hired Krystal Ball for the new show The Cycle. Steve Kornacki’s good too. Tourè is an annoying pissant and know-it-all who like to hear himself speak. S.E. Cupp is a moron. All she does is spew Glenn Beck insane crap. And I mean insane!

As far as the new MSNBC show The Cycle….

”it’s an ensemble show with all four hosts appearing regularly, “with each one taking turns facilitating the discussion.” Sound vaguely familiar? Nonetheless, executive producer Steve Friedman denied basing the show off Fox News’ The Five.”

The 4 of them are going to be on on every show?

    I never watched The Five

The only thing I could think of would be….mmm like the View or the Talk?……

It’s a mess anyway, no matter how much I like Krystal Ball, I can’t watch SE Cupp, she’s a loud RWNJ and take way too much space. She interrups and is rude.

The GOP really think voters are fools. I tweeted about student loans using the hashtag PBO requested we all use. #DontDoubleMyRate I asked @Senate_GOPs ( the twitter handle for senate GOP) why they aren’t doing anything about student loans. The guy who runs the twitter feed and is also the Digital Communications Adviser, Ryan Wrasse tweeted me back and said the GOP had already passed a student loans bill. I told him that I’m not a fool and I know that they included cuts to preventive care for women to pay for the bill and now he says that PBO also included that same cut in his budget. Really? 🙄 I’m going to check that out. But I’ll also need some TOD magic. 🙂

    • 45 vcprezofan2
      June 21, 2012 at 6:58 pm

Hey Utal, the very article he shared discussed the fact that the issue is not settled.

Democrats were helped in their cause when student groups came out against the GOP bill, even though the same groups have been agitating for a rate freeze for months. “It’s counterintuitive,” acknowledged House Education and the Workforce Committee ranking member George Miller, D-Calif. “But it’s a ‘Sophie’s Choice.’ It’s unacceptable” to ask members to choose between students finances and children’s health care. Still, 13 Democrats flouted Pelosi’s recommendation that they reject the bill and voted for it. They include Democrats in more conservative districts such as Reps. John Barrow, D-Ga., and Jim Matheson, D-Utah.

Thirty Republicans—some tea party-endorsed members like Rep. Raul Labrador of Idaho, and some more established conservatives like Rep. Virginia Foxx of North Carolina—also voted against the bill, making for a minor cliff-hanger of a vote heading in to the weekend. Conservative groups like the Club for Growth and Heritage Action opposed the bill.

    Evening guys.

Today is the first day of my 7 on/7 off at my new job, and right now, I’m sitting here and just waiting for the work to come in, but it betta come in before 7:30, cause I’m outta here.

The new job after the busy-ness of the morning is fairly evenly spaced flow-wise on the evening, so I’m just chillaxing til the next specimen comes in and catchin up on my blogroll for the day.

    • June 21, 2012 at 8:20 pm

bringing this over from the last thread….votevets needs our help!

are we surprised that the repugs are targeting vets and active duty voters, in their campaign to disenfranchise those who are likely to vote for pbo?

votevets.org sent out an email this morning, asking for signatures on a petition to investigate and halt the republican attacks on voting rights. you don’t have to be a vet, or have served in the armed forces–you are eligible to sign if you have a family member who has served.

please read the petition, as it outlines some of the disgusting maneuvers the repugs have used to take voting rights from our veterans. then sign it! and pass it on…

You know, Chips Chica, you do scarey things with photos. Very often these days I’m reminded that I can’t always believe what I see with my own eyes and that unnerves me. That greeting looks so at home on that degree, if just a wee bit lopsided, that if I didn’t know it hadn’t been there before and if I hadn’t been looking for it I’d never have noticed. A little OT here, but today I went to our locally owned paint/wallpaper store…..a great store. I needed to choose borders for two bedrooms. I walked in the wallpaper area, and saw the decorator, Paula and a man I didn’t know standing by some of the shelves. I heard him say; “I like Obama,I’m going to vote for him.” She answered, “me too.” I joined in with “We’re lucky to have him.” She walked over nodding, and I said “If not for him, we would be losing social security and medicare.” She agreed. Later on, another decorator started helping us find the wallpaper borders…..not an easy job!…..and mentioned someone’s daughter with no health insurance……she’s 22……I said, “She should have it until she’s 26 now.” They agreed Yes, they know the benefits of the ACA.
This conversation was in red state Oklahoma. I think there are more quiet supporters of the President, and more adults knowledgeable about the ACA than any poll ever shows. All three of these people are in the age/race demographic which is supposed to not be for the President, as am I.
Most people do not speak up and make noise.
I think an interesting, important word in that first sentence was “like”…..yes, people just like him. His likability scale is way high. People do NOT like Romney, and ultimately people will vote for the one they like more.

      It is registered Voters.

The Bloomberg Poll was of Likely voters. Please people keep that in mind. Likely voters are the Cream d’ la of pollsters. That’s why the media is so quick to call it an outlier. But they are wrong. Likely voters, means those who are more likely to vote. Registered voters are not always going to vote. Lawrence O’Donnell made that point yesterday. Registered voters will always be narrower than Likely Voters. pres Obama has 78% of his supporters willing and eager to vote for him. Willard Mitterrand Romney, the ordained lying bishop has 39% of TBGOPers eager to vote for him.

Pres Obama is up in FL per Quinnpiac today, 46% to Romney’s 42%. A 10% points swing from last month when they had Romney at 47% and pres Obama at 41%.

The media is trying so hard for Romney. But Americans are waking up. That is a good thing.

Democrats, labor unions and civil rights groups are convinced Republicans are scheming to steal the election from President Barack Obama by suppressing the liberal vote, and they’re girding for battle.

Groups on the left are spending more than they have in any previous election to lawyer up, get voters registered early and flood polling locations with trained poll workers and election watchdogs.

Thanks Margie. It’s all hands on deck. The GOP is not going to win this time. We’re putting PBO back in the white house for 4 More Years! And making sure we reduce corrupt GOP influence in the House and Senate. 😀

All this stuff is way above my pay grade, but I am suspicious also—–too much power—–and I note they have been sued a bunch of times for causing unneeded havoc and huge losses due to their downgrades.

BWD—-I know you fret like we all do, but I don’t think it’s a great idea to tweet that you wish the election was today because you’re worried that the economy is going to collapse by November. The negativity is not helpful. As someone reminded me—-not every thought needs to be expressed. But other than that, thanks for all you’re trying to do.

    • June 21, 2012 at 8:44 pm

The FED has stabilized it, they have the tools to keep it from collapsing.
Not to mention, our banks have 1.3 trillion parked in the FED drawing interest.
      Our Big Banks are solvent.
Europe has indicated, along withthe ECB and IMF, that they will jump in when necessary.
Thus, it is illogical to assume Economy will collapse. Those are right wing talking points.

Rep. Luis Gutierrez bashed Mitt Romney’s immigration plan Thursday, saying the GOP presidential hopeful offers “nothing” to the Hispanic community.

The Illinois Democrat, who is Congress’s loudest proponent of immigrant rights and immigration reform, said Romney’s much-awaited speech on immigration can’t undo the hard-line stand against illegal immigrants he took in the GOP primaries.

On Tap Friday: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will use the big United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development in Brazil as the platform to announce a new mechanism for financing green energy in Africa.

“The announcement will be made in conjunction with Elizabeth Littlefield, President and CEO of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC). The mechanism plans to align different types of U.S. financial support to catalyze higher levels of private sector investment in clean energy projects, primarily in Africa,” an advisory states.

Regarding the campaign, I really think people are starting to realize Robme is just a liar! Our great President upper cut Robme, he is still stumbling and everyone is seeing it. I expect him to throw a few good jabs on Romney tomorrow.

Somebody explain to me why Elizabeth Warren is not trouncing that smug punk Scott Brown in the polls? What the hell is wrong with the people of Massachusetts?

By the way, that last one was rhetorical. Heck, I live in Georgia — what the hell is wrong with people here?
