I think a light colored suit for an afternoon outdoor summer wedding is more appropriate and cooler than a dark business suit. It looks like a wonderful event.

I know EXACTLY what you mean. It’s that “thing” he has. Both men and women see it. My males friends have mentioned that he seems so ‘regular’ — like if they had a chance to hang with him, he would be a ‘man’s man’ –confident, but not cocky. I think men know that about other men. And men who are comfortable with who they are, are cool with it. It’s the insecure ones who are jealous of it.

I love the suit and the tie. I think our POTUS loves the brown colors. His office speaks volumes of his liking being surrounded with the earth tones and their shades. I think these warm and even softer hues speaks to his warm and loving smile.

A lovely young woman who is the beautiful daughter of a very dear and close friend is getting married in a lovely afternoon setting. It is nice for him to depart from the blue suits. I love seeing him embrace his colours with that fineeeeeeeeeeeeeee body and graceful swagger. That is our brilliant president. I hope enjoys the friends and the entire evening. This is a special evening for Laura as well as Valarie. Let us give thoughts for Laura as she maybe thinking of her father as well.

Let us celebrate with grace, beauty, and joyfulness for the new couple’s happiness. We can be there in folds of loving hands raising our glassses of love filled with Hope, Beauty, and Happiness. I am lifting my glass to them this evening. A new red (for my heart) called Rivata Casa Rossa. Nice and mellow. I like sweet wines most of the times. Prefer whites, but had to find some reds for the heart.

Lift your glasses for Valarie, and our First Family. (((((((((((( I really do love my Chips and TOD Family)))))))) If only you knew how much you all lift this little senior up each day.HZ

    http://livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/entries/rubio-bails-on-gop-friendly-dream-act-after

CBS first reported on Friday that Rubio was reconsidering his plan for the legislation. The Rubio aide confirmed to HuffPost that the senator may not introduce his bill because he believes the politics are now more difficult.

OH no! Now what ever will Mitt say?

I wonder if he’ll cancel his Bob Schieffer interview, like he ducked and ran from his bus campaign stop in PA because of protestors. Mitt may have to suspend his campaign until Frank Luntz informs him about what his core beliefs about immigration are and always have been. Poor Mitt thinks that honking horns and driving around in circles is going to rattle the guy who took care of Donald Trump and Osama bin Laden in the same week. Just like those two egos, Mitt underestimates the President and overestimates himself, so he never sees it coming. This is going to be an enjoyable campaign.

I was inspired by your tweets about Romney and pillaging when I came up with that. I googled the phrase and it turns out I am not so original and clever. It’s the name of a book about the bailouts published December 7, 2010 by former Wall Streeter Nomi Prins entitled “It Takes a Pillage: An Epic Tale of Power, Deceit, and Untold Trillions”

Still, I think the phrase is a perfect fit for Mitt. It Takes a Pillage vs. Foward Together.

Things not going Robme’s way in Iowa today: “Paul backers triumphant at Iowa GOP convention” (http://blogs.desmoinesregister.com/dmr/index.php/2012/06/16/paul-backers-triumphant-at-iowa-gop-convention/)

“After a two-day tug-of-war marked by **bouts of angry shouting** (emphasis added for humor’s sake), Iowa Republicans elected 25 delegates to send to the national convention in Florida in late August…By far, the majority will be Paul backers – much to the disappointment of some Iowa Republicans who wanted to send a more mixed ā€œunityā€ delegation to vote for all-but-certain nominee Mitt Romney.”

I saw that photo of him walking behind FLOTUS, and I said,”The President is thinking about something very , very serious right now”. I pray that whatever it is, it will go well for him and all of us. HZ

Or maybe he’s thinking of this: http://newsroom.ucla.edu/portal/ucla/ucla-faculty-experts-advisory-235272.aspx

Armed Russian troops have been sent to Syria to guard the Russian navy’s deep-water port in the Mediterranean coastal town of Tartus, a move likely to frustrate Western efforts to put pressure on Syrian President Bashar Assad. UCLA has experts.

Tartus (Tartous) is the primary reason the Russians are supporting Assad. That is their one and only remaining port for Med and all points south (Africa) deployment. The FSA are already making it really unpleasant for them and in the next 60 days it’s going to get way worse. Syria has attracted a remarkably number of tourists and I hear the season is not yet in full swing.

When I saw the picture I was thinking that he has the same look on his face that my husband and son have when they attend certain events, Especially weddings. A look that says I’ve been dragged here, and can’t wait for this to be over. Now I just have to remember not to keep checking my watch. Look at his face, and how he’s trailing behind with his hands in his pockets. He Does Not want to be there.

      • 94 utaustinliberal
        June 17, 2012 at 5:15 pm

Why the hell wouldn’t he want to be there? You look at one picture and totally take everything out of context. Valerie Jarrett is one of his best friends. Why wouldn’t he want to be at the wedding of his best friend’s – whom he’s known for over 20 years – daughter? He’s the President of the United States. No one forces him to do anything. Besides he left the wedding and celebrations at midnight, so your theory is patently wrong.

  18. June 16, 2012 at 8:33 pm

PBO looks like he’s in deep thought as he walks along to the wedding. Maybe he’s pondering the walk he’ll be taking down the aisle with his daughters. Better that, than some briefing he may have gotten. Still sitting here waiting for Marine One to pass over again. They probably will stay on the ground this evening, PBO not scheduled to leave Chi til tomorrow. I wonder if I can see Air Force One sitting on the tarmac. It may be worth the trip to check it out. I could make it a ‘pajama ride’ with the kiddies, something I surprise them with every now now and then, after they’ve prepared for bed.

    Good Morning folks

  20. 120 lamh35
    June 16, 2012 at 8:54 pm

    Evening guys.

Still home in NOLA. Had a very frustrating day and a half. Yesterday after driving my car all day, I stopped over at a cousin’s house to eat my overstuffed shrimp poboy (it.was.so.good). I stayed about 2 1/2 hour and when I went to leave, my car wouldn’t start. I don’t know if it was a light left off or a door left open, but it was only 2 hours after driving most of the day. So I got a jump from my cousin and drove the car to my aunt’s house after driving around and charging the car. When I got at my aunt’s house and turned off the car and restarted it, it wouldn’t start so either my battery or my alternator was dead. So the next day, I had to get another jump, and took the car to autozone to test my battery or my alternator. So they checked the battery first and the charge was zero percent. The battery was not holding the charge from the jump. So Autozone charged the battery and retested it and in less than 15 minutes the test came back as a bad battery. So I had to get a new battery and then they retested the alternator and the rest of the charging system and they all passed. So it looks like it was a bad battery the whle time, so yay.

Anyway, my car is working great now. So my trip can continue on.

I’ll be back in DFW on Tuesday, but for now, I’m enjoying spending time with my NOLA family.
