Good day Chips and everyone. Way to go symmetry!

Crucial to link #BainMitt inextricably to the #KOCHSTERS who plotted on Inauguration Day an unrelenting attack on the President irrespective of the damage it would cause to our Republic and most American citizens – as well as to global stability.

It needs to be understood that the #KOCHSTERS consider significant fiscal damage to the US as a beneficial consequence of their destruction of the Obama Presidency. In fact, the higher the National debt the closer they come to Norquist’s bathtub fantasy – total destruction of Social Security, Medicare, etc.

So, these tweets are a small attempt to link #ChickenhawkMitt to #KOCHSTERS …. and put in the face of certain folk who obviously won’t appreciate the message ….

    More in my TL …

You have also got to add that Newton LeRoy Gingrich on Politics nation on Tuesday didn’t deny the meeting when Al Sharpton presses Newt.

The media love to drag out Trump and the ex-girl friends of pres Obama, but has failed to hold TBGOPers accountable. Why? 98% of Journos are White? Gwen Iffil was savaged for possible bias in 2008 VP debate. Are these journalists not biased against pres Obama when they make false equivalencies? Are they not biased when things they would have reported had they occurred to then sen Obama are ignored when GOP or Romney are the ones engaging in them. Al Gore was savaged. John Kerry too. Yet Romney lies daily and his lies are ignored.

FORWARD! KEEP MARCHIN’ I’m making some calls tonight. Find your local OFA office and pitch in. If you don’t like phone calls, learn the data stuff. If that’s not your boat, bring ’em something to eat!!

A bit of both – I don’t know why they think they’ll be respected in that environment, when they spend their days disrespecting every other citizen. When they saw the GOP women denying the war on women, and voting against women’s issues, what did they think they were involved in?

Romney’s mission is to make his rich friends even richer. It’s not enough that they own sports clubs, and are subsidized by tax payers. It’s not enough that they don’t pay their fair share in taxes. Romney will wipe out every government organization and social program, replace them with private versions, subsidize those private versions with tax dollars, and then wipe out every regulation that would reign in excesses. His vision of America. (plus, he’ll be fueling defense contractors with his endless wars).

and don’t forget the ‘education businesses’ that the no-child-left-behind law spawned–they take over the ‘failed’ schools–another division of pox news/criminal murdoch enterprises.

    MSM? Anybody home??? http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-06-07/consumer-comfort-in-u-s-increases-for-third-consecutive-week.html

Consumer confidence in the U.S. climbed for the fourth straight week as more Americans said their personal finances were improving.
The Bloomberg Consumer Comfort Index rose to minus 36.4 in the week ended June 10, the highest level since late April, from minus 37.6 the prior period. Each of its three components — the economy, finances and buying plans — advanced.

“It is likely a function of the steady drop in gasoline prices,” said Joseph Brusuelas, a senior economist at Bloomberg LP in New York. “Households feel a bit more comfortable about their own financial situation.”
Record-low mortgage rates are spurring a surge in refinancing, which combined with the lowest fuel prices in four months and stabilization in stocks, may be easing constraints on Americans’ financial resources

Just a personal observation, People are buying new cars. I see them ALL the time, fixing their homes, shopping, eating out…places are packed. so this doom and gloom is not what I see in my everyday life….

    • June 14, 2012 at 1:09 pm

I see the same things, df. See it here in Knoxville and saw it the past 4 days in western NC.

BTW, haven’t seen it here, but have heard on two news breaks (radio) that UE claims were up 6,000 last week and also revised UP for week before. NOT good news for PO.

      June 14, 2012 at 1:17 pm

I see it as well DF. I just walk up to Capitol Hill to the bank today at lunch and I have to go through a residential area to get there. The landscapers are out working in peoples yards. Constructions companies are doing major renovations on homes. Repairs and maintenance is in fool bloom in home after home.

Once I get up on the Hill all the cafes and restaurants are full. Folks are spilled out onto the street sitting out side eating. I overheard someone complain that they had a really hard time finding a parking space.

All these things have changed drastically since the summer of 2010. The beltway media might think things aren’t improving but the reality of what I am seeing is telling me a totally different story.

  14. June 14, 2012 at 1:05 pm

I don’t usually agree with Michael Tomasky at the Daily Beast——too over the top——-and here’s more unsolicited advice for the Obama campaign, but I wonder what others here think of his opinion that Obama needs to hit harder at Willard, that if he asks the hard questions and makes the sharp accusations, the press will then follow suit, that they won’t report all the Willard nonsense until Obama makes the charges. I’m not sure why the news media has to wait on that, why they can’t take the initiative, it is their job after all, but does this make sense?

No it doesn’t make any sense. If the MSM caught PBO in the blatant lies Mitt has perpetrated do you think they would let PBO slide? This is more of the “magic thinking” that plagues those unwilling or unable to face the fact that the MSM is the communications arm of the GOP. More of the “blame the victim” stuff many on the left succumb to, like there is some strategy PBO could employ that would make the MSM forget who signs their checks. The anti-tax/anti-regulation policies of the GOP mean billions of dollars in the pockets of the corporate OWNERS of our MSM. This is also why I reject the “horserace” theory for why the MSM has a pro-GOP slant. It is not just Mitt that gets a pass from the MSM, the GOP as a party gets a pass. No mention of their obstruction and sabatage of the economy that has been going on since PBO took the oath of office. No blame of Boner for the lack of job creation. On a side note, I am sick and tired of these (mainly white) writers who feel so comfortable questioning the manhood of the first African-American President. They used to call African-American men “BOY” back in the day as a way to keep black men “in their place” (i.e. subservient and inferior to white men). In my opinion, this is an updated version of this hateful practice.

And now I see why Arianna was pushing the “Obama can no longer blame Bush for the economy” theme today. Chris Cilizza just reported that is going to be the driving message of the Romney campaign. Arianna got the GOP talking points memo, and she performed like a good little GOP soldier on Morning Joke today. Rove gave her a gold star!

It will not surprise me one iota if Romney’s flunkies attend this event and heckle PBO today just as they did when Axelrod gave his event in MA.

They have no class and are clueless but they know that the cable media will not call them out on it so they will continue with this foolishness.

OK. Everyone need to bear with me here. I got this idea for this while reading LL’s piece at TPV (special thanks, LL)….as so many of us are aware, on Jan 20, 2009, members of the Republican party sought to purposefully undermine not just the President, but the entire country for their own greed and love of power. No love of country. No care for struggling Americans that had been ruined by the policies of these very people and the Bush Administration…and the same policies that Romney would have us DO ALL OVER AGAIN. We need to get America to see this. Millions of people need to see this and share it with their families, friends and neighbors. The President can’t say this, but WE can.

These same men, think that they should be entitled to still serve, collect a pension and benefits for LIFE, paid for by US, the taxpayers, after they plotted to destroy this President and the economy of the US.That’s insane.I don’t want to reward this behavior, I want to get rid of it before it becomes just part and parcel of how things in Washington work. It’s bad enough that the SC has seen fit to strip us of our democracy with Citizens United, enabling wealthy people to buy votes and favors, leaving most of America to deal with this reckless and UNAmerican behavior.

My thought is this: In addition to going what we are to spread this message, I think that we need a well spoken volunteer to craft a petition to Color of Change, calling for the public apology, resignations and stripping of benefits for all the elected representatives that participated in this treasonous, seditious act upon this country.Color of Change has become a force to be reckoned with. A force for justice and fairness….and they have a wide swath of people to send this message to.

What do you think? Someone with a great mastery of words could write the petition. Bob, LL, Tally…so many to choose from here! I think we can do this….as I made my bed this morning…i thought of these traitors thinking they a) would never get caught b) never cause outrage c) would be able to collect a pension and benefits for life…after plotting this on America. It made my blood boil!

What does everyone say to this??? Suggestions???

Well, watch me fold like a cheap suit but this is really a GREAT story:

A Jewish congresswoman from MI stood up in the MI Congress yesterday and gave this speech against what is being called the worst anti-abortion bills in the U.S. I tried to just copy the video but I guess I don’t know how to do that — it just copied the dKos diary.

My President (alone, meaning no other Presidents, e.g. his predecessor) will visit the site of the WTC, my heart aches and soars for him. I am so glad he will do this today. Then, MY President and his lovely wife will be in my favorite city tonight at the Plaza. Oh man! That is just the bestest. Let Romney send his vulgar horn honking bus to that event: the New Yorkers will take care of it!
