    You moved!

    Afternoon everyone.

Finally have a chance to get on Twitter and here. Busy morning with my Storytime. And I have class visits the next 3 days. I’ll be wiped out by the weekend.

So, I now have “The Week” following me. Man, I’m gonna have to make my tweets more interesting.

Of course. If Greece goes, then Cyprus has to go as well with 50% of it belonging to Greece. I have a friend about to come over from the US for a visit. I’m getting nervous that if all goes TU while she is here, I may not be able to get her back home for months.

It looks like he is whistling in that first picture with First Lady Michelle. I whistle all the time. I know that it is not considered feminine but I love to whistle. He is left-handed and I am too. I wonder if that has anyting to do with whistling? God, this is my very favorite couple next to my husband and me. Loooove me some Obamas.

Right wing funding of Judicial Watch.

Between 1997 and 2002 Judicial Watch received $7,069,500 (unadjusted for inflation) in 19 grants from a handful of foundations. The bulk of this funding came from just three foundations – the Sarah Scaife Foundation, The Carthage Foundation, both managed by Richard Mellon Scaife, and the John M. Olin Foundation, Inc.,which folded in 2005. As of 2010, Scaife remains the group’s main contributor.

WASHINGTON, June 12 (Reuters) – After providing ammunition to President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign by criticizing his fellow Republicans, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush clarified his comments on Tuesday and blamed Democrats for failing to compromise during Obama’s term.

“The point I was making yesterday is this: The political system is hyperpartisan. Both sides are at fault,” Bush wrote on his Twitter page.

I wonder who made the phone call to Jeb……walk it back….NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      June 12, 2012 at 5:35 pm

Linda, I don’t think he walked it back. He placed more additional blame on the Democrats than he did yesterday, but he did not back down on anything he said about the Republicans. It might be a long shot on his part, but he may be thinking the Republicans will be looking for a moderate in four years, and he is trying to put himself into that position.

        June 12, 2012 at 5:50 pm

The problem is that the GOP as it exists now considers moderates to be worse than liberals. Jeb would practically have to create an entirely new center-right party.

Thought Michael Smerconish made an important political point re. the horrific Sandusky case. Current Repub Gov. Tom Corbett was AG when the facts first became known in this case, the horrible sexual abuse of young boys, 10-13 yrs. old, multiple victims, and the case was stalled for 3 years as he looked the other way. He was another one who was more concerned about Penn State and its football program and his political connections there than the welfare of those boys, and the abuse continued.

Tuesday morning, telling Fox News Channel that if elected president, he would not have the ability to control the hiring decisions of local governments:
ROMNEY: Of course, teachers and firemen and policemen are hired at the local level and also by states. The federal government doesn’t pay for teachers, firefighters or policemen. So obviously that’s completely absurd.
But Romney’s comment demonstrates a disturbing lack of understanding of both federal funding and his own published plans. While it is true that teachers, firefighters, and police are hired at the local level, a significant portion of their funding, recruiting, and training comes from the federal government.
Here are just some of the ways the federal government funds:

HEADLINE: Michelle Obama is a hit on the campaign trail

// PHILADELPHIA — Anthony Paradiso had attended his last political event nearly a half century ago. But there he was, in line three hours early for a glimpse of Michelle Obama. “She’s a motivator,” said Paradiso, who went to the rally just two days after he’d been discharged from a hospital after surgery. His last event: a Hubert Humphrey rally in 1968.

It’s that kind of appeal that President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign loves, hoping the popular political spouse can rekindle some of the 2008 spark among Democrats and independents for a contest that’s looking more difficult by the day. “This journey is going to be long and it is going to be hard,” the first lady said, delivering a feisty stump speech to more than 1,000 supporters and campaign volunteers who were jammed into the National Constitution Center. “But just remember, that’s how change always happens in this country. And if we keep showing up, if we keep fighting the good fight, then eventually we get there.”

Obama has been politically active on her husband’s behalf for more than a year, raising money at nearly 60 fundraisers and conducting conference calls with key groups of supporters, including women and African-Americans. She’s also a pop culture phenom, making a guest appearance on the Nickelodeon TV show “iCarly” to thank military families for their service and engaging in a tug-of-war with comedian Jimmy Fallon to promote her “Let’s Move” initiative. But as the campaign heats up, she’ll be deployed to headline more large rallies like the ones last week in Pennsylvania and Virginia. //

      The second comment is hilarious..

      This is the new Conservative normal;

      Cognitive dissonance – squared!

      Obama’s both a coward – AND he’s and a mad-droner!

Obama’s both a crazy spender, increasing the size of governnment – AND he’s cutting public sector jobs!

      Obama is a KenyanSocialistFascistCommunistAtheist – AND he’s a Muslim!

Obama is a furniture polish – AND a dessert topping!

And a he’s buffer of white wall tires which blackens them.

A rust remover who causes rust.

AND a toilet cleaner who leaves your toilet smelling like Rush took a triple-extra-chili-jalapeno-and-extra-cheese, liver-gravy-and-fries, and prune milkshake, dump in your john.

Obama is every Conservatives “Rorschach Test.”

Project whatever you want – especially projectile vomit.

First Solar (Nasdaq: FSLR) today announced it will design, construct and maintain two utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) power projects totaling 159 megawattsAC (MW) for AGL Energy Limited as part of Australia’s Solar Flagships Program. AGL was selected as the successful proponent in the solar PV category of the program and will receive federal and state government funding to help deliver on its commitment to greater investment in renewable electricity generation.
The Australian Government’s Solar Flagships Program is one of a number of programs and market mechanisms providing unprecedented support for the development of a broad range and scale of solar energy projects and technologies in Australia. The Solar Flagships Program is offering funding to support the construction and demonstration of large-scale, grid connected solar (PV and thermal) power stations in Australia.
Under the program, AGL will develop a 106 MWAC project in Nyngan and a 53 MWAC project in Broken Hill, both in New South Wales. First Solar will design and construct the integrated PV power plants, using its leading engineering, procurement and construction services and its advanced thin-film PV modules for both projects. First Solar will also maintain both projects for AGL Energy for their first five years of commercial operation. The electricity produced by the projects will be sold under power purchase agreements to AGL Hydro Partnership, a wholly owned subsidiary of AGL.

Shellie Zimmerman made 2 withdrawals of $9,000 each from her credit union account.

After Zimmerman was released from jail, his wife transferred $85,500 from her account back to his.

The Obama campaign has pumped nearly $14 million into a new, multi-week wave of television ads, a media-tracking source tells me.

The ad reservations span June 12 to July 2, covering Ohio ($3.6 million so far), Florida ($2.3 million), North Carolina ($1.7 million), Virginia ($1.3 million), Iowa ($1.1 million), Nevada ($1.1 million), Colorado ($1 million), Pennsylvania ($852,000) and New Hampshire ($800,000). Those numbers may grow as the campaign continues to buy.

All told, it’s about $13.7 million so far — a big sum of cash to throw down in June.

The buys come hours after the Obama camp unveiled its second TV ad targeting Mitt Romney’s record as governor of Massachusetts.
