Listening to our President and I’m getting a tingly up my leg. He has me fired up and ready to go!!

Bonus- Martin Bashir just played the first ten minutes of the Fundraiser, which sounds like his soon to be stump speech.
    Very good one, at that!
    Yup, Yup!

And it will get BETTER as time draws near, as more people get engaged, as the crowds get larger….as the campaign heats up, and as our President gets more fired up!!

Willard and others often say PBO never worked in the private sector. I wish he could find a way to talk about how he worked for a Wall Street research firm for a year and found it so unfullfilling that he then went to Chicago to work as a community organizer. He also worked for two big Chicago corporate law firms during summers while in law school. He saw the corporate world where he could have made millions but did not want that life. He wanted a life of service. He probably can’t talk about it himself, but it tells a great deal about him.

Yup – I’ve been hoping he’ll remind them of that fact, too. That should shut them up (dreaming), since President Obama was quick enough to realize that working on Wall Street wasn’t going to help people as much as becoming a community organizer would. Romney never learned that lesson, and now he thinks he can become the ultimate community organizing – organizing the nation from the White House… although, in Romney’s case, it would be organizing the nation (and the world) right over the cliff into endless war, depression and hate-fuelled division.

plus how about PBO’s 2008 campaign…huge payroll to meet. tons of regulations to follow. rapid influx of money with incredibly tricky accounting and cashflow requirements. and it ended with amazing ROI and tens of millions left in the bank while crushing the competitors. and who was the “CEO” of that company…barack obama!!

So true. That is my response when anyone mentions another possible candidate having more executive experience. Some morons will even say the half term governor had more experience. But none of them developed the campaign he did and won the nomination and the general election.

Besides, what is more experience for being President of the US than actually BEING the President of the US? PBO is the only one in this race that has been the US Prez.

Thanks for the reminder Bill. I will add that to my Obama “lecture series.” I’m a walking talking GOTV billboard for President Obama. :o)

  10. June 12, 2012 at 4:01 pm

I’m watching PBO on MSNBC. He is doing a great job, as usual. He’s really a ‘good hands’ man. Mitt says PBO should stop so much fundraising and talk to the people. So who does he think PBO has been talking to? This, as Mitt prepares his own fundraising bus tour.

On the media coverage of Mitt, I think it took Jeb to come out against Norquist and the Teabutts to get the MSM to start reporting on the Repub old guard and the crazies. AP is reporting today that Mitt will be the least transparent nominee since Nixon. They worry he’ll govern as president the same way. they used the fact that he won’t release names of his bundlers, his tax returns, nor let the press into many of his events. They expect Mitt’s time is up being unavailable to everyone except FOX.

I think the media found they couldn’t get anywhere with the PBO negative reporting, so are slowly turning their attention to Mitt. They’ll see if they can generate some better controversy there. Remember, they don’t care who likes what they say, they just want viewers/readers to watch/read them. They have to compete with social media all over the innerwebz. They’re going to try all kind of stuff to get a piece of this year’s election pie.

I’m just passing the message – in case Snark happens to be lurking around here today 🙂

  12. June 12, 2012 at 4:06 pm

The GOP is using the Farm bill to try and repeal Dodd/Frank.
Senator Demint said that if His amendment of repealing the Wall street reform fails, so does the Farm bill.
In other congressional News, Judicial nomination went through with a voice Vote, and the Democrats blocked McDames stupid special counsel resolution.
Thus, as you see, the system is currently broken!

  13. June 12, 2012 at 4:16 pm

PBO just gave another great speech to yet another very receptive and loving crowd. There is NO stopping POTUS. THREE CHEERS!!!!

      June 12, 2012 at 4:27 pm

I just finish listening to POTUS. Then I sent a email to Senator John Corny office and told him that if there is anyone who need to resign it is him, Mitch McConnell and the Senate Republicans who have put the welfare of the Republican Party ahead of the welfare of this country. From day one your only goal has been to get rid of this President. You and the Republicans didn’t give a dam if Americans were struggling.

Yes, Baltimore loved it’s President!! I believe that’s the mistake some of us make when we complain that his speeches are boring. He delivers the same speech in a different venue to a different crowd. The crowds fully appreciate it because they are there and continue to feel very inspired long after the speech is over. Meanwhile, to those of us just watching it through livestream or on CSPAN, it sounds like the same old thing. We don’t experience the crowd, their unique responses, the venue, his delivery, etc.

So this is something we ought to keep in mind. I believe that he will change up the content, style, delivery, once he’s made the first set of rounds across the country and is comfortable that most DEMS have gotten these first set of messages. Then he will add/subtract, embellish, modify, etc accordingly based on need and response. I’m looking forward to seeing more of Campaign ’12!!! And most importantly, I’m looking forward to the DNC convention AND election day itself.

      • June 12, 2012 at 5:00 pm

By the time the 2008 campaign ended, we each could probably recite his speeches by heart. But each place, each circumstance, each crowd brought out something new in him. (Remember the PIE speech?) So, yes, not everyone listens to him every day and there will be new phases along the way.

One of the successes of the GOP is keeping soundbites short and repeating them over and over. I think using the same stump speech and repeating things is wise since it may drum into people’s heads what is being said by the repetition.

Alright, it’s official, I am not back to having one JOB! Today was my last day at my other job. All in all, a pretty good day. No crazy crying or histrionics, no sobbing, no cussing the heavens, no rending of garments, just heartfelt goodbyes and hugs

    Oh and good afternoon

I don’t know if that is a good or bad thing for you but just out of curiousity……..Why do so many Americans need two or more jobs? I t seems a bit unusual to me. All respect meant.

my second job was PRN (less than 20 hours a week) so it was actually supplementing my FT job, but I resigned from my FT job and made my PRN job permananent and FT. Me personally, I used the 2nd job for extra cash, but my profession is such that one FT job at average pay (but is usually above average, think RN pay) is actually enough it I lived more frugally, but I like my gadgets

POTUS said of republicans trying to pin the deficit on him: It’s like somebody going to a fancy restaurant and ordering steak and martinis, and just as you get there and sit down to eat, they leave – and blame you for running up the bill! Simple yet brilliant analogy.

Jonathan Alter dropped the “Obama could lose” meme inappropriately into the conversation with Martin Bashir. I thought Richard Wolffe and David Corn recoiled a bit. Or maybe it was just me.
Oh well, Bloomberg View employee, that’s Jonathan.

Guess what? We know POTUS could lose, but he won’t lose. Jonathan Alter could fine some common sense, but I have a feeling it’s to late for him.

I don’t mind people saying “Obama can lose”. Of course he can, though it is unlikely. And I think whenever people hear that they think about what the consequences of that would be and gear up even more to make sure it doesn’t happen.

Breaking News: Good. The bish lied about the money her husband had. Probably lying about Zimmerman’s temper too, just for a cut of the money. Throw the book at her.

She lied about the money they had collected from the website fundraiser…and they (George and wife) spoke in code together in taped phone convos…she lied. He lied. Boy died. Scum.

      • June 12, 2012 at 5:04 pm

I knew when I heard her say that they didn’t have any money and she didn’t know how much the web site brought in, she was lying. If you have no money, you’d be pretty curious about that, wouldn’t you? Especially when it turned out to be in tens of thousands.

Not going to read the article, but when I first read the link I read it as “overseas fundraising” which of course is illegal, but I wouldn’t put it past Romney.
