I won’t complain this time. Great pics, Chips! But I have to tell you — my laptop screen does not react well to saliva, so how about some charts or something next time okay? Too much pretty can be a bad thing, ya know?

The truthiness chart. EGGGGGSSS ZACTLY! 😆 😆 Don’t you just love Stephen Colbert? I especially love that there are some people that really don’t know that he is pulling their chain!

Wait a minute! Waaa-i-t a minute! Wait just a minute! What’s going on here? That’s the second time teacher’s pet ‘D’ has gotten a reward for coming in behind the first person; this time without even using the ‘pretty please’ routine. [I shall have to consider the wider implications here.]

You have worked extremely hard today Chips. I am totally amazed by you and this blog. Good going. You must be related to the energizer bunny. How do you do it? Great job though. Keep it comin’ on. (Singing to a well known tune which name escapes me at this time) Don’t stop it now. Don’t stop it now (Still singing)

Not a good idea to fall asleep before bedtime. Stupid coffee ice cream! Was supposed to keep me awake! 😡 ! FLOTUS looked so fab when she was departing! I also loved the purple, floaty number she was wearing earlier too. Muy caliente! Congrats, Chips! Your team may not have won but you’ve hit well above the 10 million mark! If blog hits were money, Willard would still be 25 times richer than you but at least you could take him up on his $10,000 bet if you so chose, maybe with a better bet too, like $10,000 that he won’t be president of these united states……… Okay, now I’m running on and on. I wonder if wine will also have an opposite effect? Instead of making me sleepy, will it keep me awake like the ice cream was supposed to? Well, nothing wrong with a little experimentin’. 😉

    • May 19, 2012 at 9:09 pm

I will raise the glass for our wonderful Chips. I miss you all so much. Trying to get caught up here. LLO, oooh, yeah. That purple dress was amazing on FLOTUS. It was a ‘throwback’ to the 1950s, yet modern the way she wears it. There is a pretty picture of her in it at http://mrs-o.com/newdata/2012/5/19/a-most-lovely-hostess.html

I used to check over there often for Michelle’s fashions. It’s up to date today, but it hasn’t been as timely as it used to be. But then Chica has me RIDICULOUSLY spoiled when it comes to pics of FLOTUS and POTUS. I think every blog just be as addicted as we are!! LOLOLOL

I know ison. I used to go to Mrs. O to find out who the designers of FLOTUS’ outfits are. But she’s been so far behind Chips, by the time she covers an outfit, its days later long after TOD has moved onto many next events. I was surprised to see today’s dress highlighted there today too.

In fact, I think I first came to TOD having heard about it from someone on Mrs. O.

    Hi Trinisamba,

Have been looking for you on the blog for a long time now. Last time we were on the blog together, you asked me where in Trinidad I lived, but I had come off the blog and did not see the question till long after. I did answer that I lived in Santa Cruz but I do not know whether you saw it. I do hope that it was you who asked the question and that I am not confusing you with another Trinidadian.

Where in Trinidad are you from? Will check back later.

Merkel looks like she carries tension in her shoulders and eyes. The only person in this photo who doesn’t look emotionally invested in some way is the new guy. Even the guy beside him shows tension in how he places his hands. Hollande looks completely relaxed, as though there are other places he could be.

I don’t think he’s a big follower of it, Tien Le, but his daughters play and he goes to their games, so maybe he’s catching the bug! It is, after all, the greatest sport in the history of the world 😎

      • May 19, 2012 at 9:45 pm

I think he mentioned the other day (maybe on The View?) when asked about his guilty pleasure that he loves watching any sporting event on TV he can, even the Luge.

CAMP DAVID, Maryland (Reuters) – World leaders backed keeping Greece in the euro zone on Saturday and vowed to take all steps necessary to combat financial turmoil while revitalizing a global economy increasingly threatened by Europe’s debt crisis.

A summit of the G8 leading industrialized nations came down solidly in favor of a push to balance European austerity – an approach long driven by German Chancellor Angela Merkel – with a new dose of U.S.-style stimulus seen as vital to healing ailing euro-zone economies. But it was clear that divisions remained.

“We commit to take all necessary steps to strengthen and reinvigorate our economies and combat financial stresses, recognizing that the right measures are not the same for each of us,” the leaders said in a joint statement issued at their meeting at the Camp David presidential retreat in Maryland.

    Hi Trinisamba,

Not far from each other. I tend to come on the blog and read the new comments, then leave and do some thing or other and return, but i always try to read everything. Seems like i missed your reply. I guess we can try to connect some time. Right now I am trying to read a book for my book club meeting on Tuesday but this book is so difficult to read. It is like a chore. Anyhow I have to press on. Will check back later

Best thing I saw today: Came out of work and there were people standing on the sidewalk in front of a store…REGISTERING VOTERS. This time it was not me. Wow! It was great being asked, “are you registered to vote or do you need your registration updated?”
