LOL. Remember Bush II’s appearance on the carrier after he’d “won” the Iraq War? He was in a flight suit, and let’s just say that a certain part of his anatomy was accentuated.

and then there was the tank cannon positioned in the photo to look like it was a big dick. in case we were not impressed by the codpiece. what a joke.

reminds me of what ann lamott says when she sees a guy driving a monster truck–‘oh, so sorry about your tiny penis!’

Just wonderful. I am SO glad he is our president! I fear to imagine where we would be as a country and as a world if he were not president! My husband just always says: “I trust him.”
Yes, I trust him to do what is best for the country and best for the world. That Nobel Peace prize committee certainly knew what they were doing!
Now, this may be shallow, but….from 2001-2008, I could Not stand to hear “Hail to the Chief” played for GWB. NOW, my heart fills with joy and pride when I hear it…..what a difference the right person makes!

        May 1, 2012 at 6:36 pm

No it wasn’t….I want to compare and contrast the reception he would get to PBO. When BO went to Iraq before he became the President, he was mobbed by the troops and then making that three pointer in front of the crowd–oh Mittens couldn’t even buy his way to that kind of love.

      • 41 LOL
        May 1, 2012 at 6:38 pm

He has to show he has some foreign policy chops…everyone goes when they are the nominee. PBO went and McLame went with his two sidekick. If he is going to keep those troops there, he damn better tell them to their face. I am sure his team will make it as controlled as possible—heavens forbid we do a crowd reaction comparison.

When Mittens go he can stay, most of his money is stuck overseas anyway so let him go join his money, but he won’t be the U.S. President.

Dudette, thanks so much for this link. I went to read it, and my heart is filled with so much gratefulness, in that, I see President Obama all over this document. I am taking time out each night to read the entire document.

It is shameful that the MSM tried to framed this visit to Afghanistan by President Obama as a drama event. It states right in the first sentence of the Press Fact Sheet that ” in May 2010, President Obama and President Karzai met and committed the two countries to negotiate and conclude a strategic partnership that would provide a framework for the future relationship.” This resulted in the SPA.

Then if you will click on the highlighted blue, you will be able to read the details of this SPA. It is so interesting so far. I would suggest that if anyone is interested in knowing what is in the document, to save it and read it. Our president and team are way ahead of Mitten and the Clown Car, for sure. Please mark it under your favorites to read later, I strongly suggest.

      Thanks again, Dudette!!!! HZ

Being an English professor for 30 years does strange things to the brain, but when I watch him on the world scene, I am always reminded of the lines from Shakespeare’s”Julius Caesar”

Why man, he doth bestride the narrow world
Like a Colossus, and we petty men
Walk under his huge legs and peep about…”

That’s who he is, and his enemies are the petty men. That line comes to me EVERY time he is on the world stage, or giving a State of the Union address.

I know huh? This President of ours just operates on a completely different plane. and he knows exactly how predictable the corporate media and his GOP adversaries will react to his every move. So in sun Tzu fashion he turns their hatred into his devastating weapon.

They never see him coming. No wonder he was in such high spirits on Saturday at the WHCD. It’s like the fake Seamus dog ad was just a mild warm up to the fusillade that he has lined up for Romney. By the time this election is all over, Mittens will need to be carried to the sanatorium

I mean, even if the power goes out tonight and I can’t see the President’s remarks to the nation, I pretty much heard everything I needed to hear earlier … when he spoke to the troops about their families at home, ” … supporting you and loving you … ” – well, I damn near lost it. I mean, everybody mentions “supporting you” but only a man with love in his heart mentions “loving you.” Can you imagine how the troops in that building felt when they heard even just that, thinking of mom and dad and siblings and spouses and kids, all the damn day and night, as they must (I don’t know – I wouldn’t have been as brave as they are to even enlist). Can you imagine how the President feels every time he looks out at the sea of faces and knows it’s in his power to retain them there or bring them home, based on the sound judgment I believe only he could bring to the table at this time in our history. Thank you, Mr. President, and thank you to all of our military – whether air, land, sea, or under the sea – for your honor, courage, and commitment. We’ll be here “loving you,” until you are safely home.

The AP has the latest on the Americans Elect effort, which has been plagued by problems:

A group clearing the path for an independent White House bid has canceled the first phase of its search for a bipartisan ticket because declared and draft candidates aren’t mustering enough preliminary support.

Americans Elect has canceled a virtual caucus that had been planned for next week. Another round of voting set for May 15 also is in jeopardy.

A spokeswoman for the group says no one gathered enough online “clicks” to qualify. Candidates must show they have the backing of at least 1,000 people in at least 10 states.

Americans Elect is noteworthy because it has plowed months and many dollars into securing ballot space in all 50 states and is more than halfway to its goal. Its rules require the nominee to field a bipartisan ticket.

    LOL!
