Obama pictured next to swastika in Grand Rapids flyer that claims U.S. is becoming Nazi Germany

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – A flyer recently placed on parking meters in downtown Grand Rapids pictures President Barack Obama next to a Nazi swastika, threatening that a ā€œHolocaust is coming.ā€

ā€œObama is a puppet,ā€ reads the handout that decries the Affordable Care and the National Defense Authorization acts. ā€œHitler’s Nazi Germany has been revived in the U.S. and the target is Americans.ā€

The pamphlet disturbed 59-year-old Vern Jones when the Georgetown Township man parked his car along Campau Avenue NW before a meeting last week. Jones went to feed the meter and the flyer blocked the coin slot of his timer as well as others nearby.

Jones took the card off of two others, believing it was inappropriate to force an audience to see the printed rant that pairs Obama with an atrocity like the Holocaust.

ā€œI certainly respect the right to an opinion, but this is a sick opinion,ā€ said Jones. ā€œPeople have a right to say what they want, print what they want and hand it out, but that gives me a chance to say no. It has gone too far when it’s put on public meters and to a captive audience without a choice.

ā€œI know conservatives don’t like (Obama), but with the swastikas, it’s just too much for me.ā€

Also amazing this is in a State that is actually run by a Dictator like Gov. Snyder who totally is denying his residents the right to make democracy with his ” Emergency Manager ” law…

Now he is trying to stop the November Referendum because the ” font ” size of the petition is wrong.

This needs to be repeated over and over.

Sort of on topic: My sister got into a conversation with some guy in a store dispaying some sick racist cartoon about Obama. When she objected to it, he said something about free speech. (That’s what they all seem to say to run for cover)

Whoopie Goldberg was freaking awesome. They played the Crossroads clip of PBO being a “celebrity” while the country was going to “hell in a hand basket.” Elizabeth Hasselbeck was spewing crap about PBO’s accomplishments. Saying she’s not s surrogate for the Romney camp, and PBO is a nice man but his policies are bad for America. Hmmmm…..where have we heard that before? Whoopie got mad and you could practically feel steam pouring from her ears. She began reading a plethora of PBO’s achievements: Getting OBL, saving the auto industry, Passing ACA, repealing DADT, creating over 4.1M jobs, ending the Iraq war etc. By the time she was done, the audience was clapping and cheering and Elizabeth was mad and wanted to say more stuff. Whoopie cut her off and went to a commercial break. Hahahaha.

I sent Elisaibeth a email and I told her that if the Republicans are so concern about jobs, then why haven’t they been working with President Obama to created jobs for the people needing work. Instead they have fought everything this President have tried to do to make this economy better. This economy would be further along if the Republicans had been working with this President, but their agenda from day one has been to not work with this President, to bring him down and to hell if people suffer. So if the Republicans are so concern about jobs, then why haven’t they been doing something about jobs.

A little personal note, if I may: I wrote a few weeks back about a Quilt that was put together during the 08 campaign via the OFA site group: Quilters for Obama. This group, which I joined- though I don’t quilt- consisted of a group of women across this country who each created quilt squares- my mother quilted ‘our’ squares- I believe we each submitted 3 or 4 squares. We sent them to the group leader in Tucson and she put the squares together – had the whole thing sewn together.. and then we “auctioned” it off via the OFA site via our group fundraising page.. we ended up w/ over $15,000 in donations. Ultimately a woman in Chicago (how cool is that?) won the quilt and has determined that when there is a President Obama museum- she will donate the quilt.

Fast forward… there was a book put together of the making of this quilt (something I either didn’t know about, or have forgotten).. and tonight when FLOTUS is in Tucson, it appears that this book will be given to her. I just wanted to share this with all of you- as it was truly an amazing enterprize.. and the quilt was so beautiful and put together with so much hope and love.

    • April 30, 2012 at 12:26 pm

Triple awesome, sherijr! What a delightful anecdote; so glared you shared it with us. Maybe later we’ll see a picture or video of FLOTUS accepting the book.

thanks for sharing that proud.. how cool that you donated to it, we were amazed at the amount of donations.. so exceeded our hopes and expectations.. so thank you for all that you gave.

Cindy is the one who put the quilt all together.. we all sent our squares.. from 28 different states.. then contributed to having it professionally sewn. It really was magnificent.. I’m hoping to get a copy of the book. I so hope FLOTUS is able to receive the book, and moreover I hope Cindy gets a chance to meet her.

also thanks for the link.. we used to have pictures of all the quilt pieces and the whole quilt. I lost all my own photos as the computer I had back then got a virus and all was lost. So I was hoping the photos were still on there.

the great thing about that whole endeavor, was that we truly were just some random people who connected via the OFA Blog.. and one or two folks came up with this brilliant idea.. and the rest of us followed and added our input. It was true grassroots building together.

McCain discovers a distaste for ‘politicization’

    By Steve Benen

    ———————————–

On Friday, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) feigned outrage, condemning Obama for trying to “politicize” his counter-terrorism accomplishment. In a statement promoted by the Republican National Committee, the failed former presidential candidate said, “Shame on Barack Obama for diminishing the memory of September 11th and the killing of Osama bin Laden by turning it into a cheap political attack ad.”
    .
    .
But the larger concern is that McCain seems to believe the president, during a re-election campaign, shouldn’t “politicize” his counter-terrorism victories. It’s an odd argument coming from the senator. Does he not remember this 9/11 tribute video at his own nomination convention?

I guess PBO forgot that September 11 and Bin Ladin belongs to the GOP. I bet if the GOP could go back in time they would have trademarked 9/11 because they used it so much for eight years. Every 2008 and 2010 GOP candidate wore it out yet when PBO killed the perpetrator and instigator of 9/11 he can’t use it as one of his accomplishments. Go figure.

Send it to his website… His brain has gone soft, he remembers nothing…

  16. April 30, 2012 at 11:47 am

I see Whoopi is getting some recognition for listing PBO’s accomplishments on The View today, which I was also happy about. But why do they (all TV outlets) show anti-Obama ads in full—-this time the “too cool” Rove ad—–but never pro Obama ads? This is why Whoopi was forced to defend Obama’s record, especially after horrible motor mouth Elizabeth jumped in to pile on after they aired the ad.
Also thankful to Whoopi today for saying that we have to do something about gun control in this country—-that gun violence is out of control. This subject came up because one of the young female producers on The View was out with family members picking up food after an evening out and 2 thugs came up behind them, shot the girl’s male cousin twice and when she stepped in to plead with the gunmen to stop they shot her in the stomach. Both are in the hospital, she has an inoperable bullet lodged in a precarious position and cousin was coming out of surgery when Barbara Walters talked to her. This is a huge concern, seemingly getting worse by the day. Check news websites around the country, as I do every day, and there are multiple gun atrocities daily everywhere. It is truly insane that the NRA has been given free rein in this country and all legislators seemingly lack the courage to challenge their escalating gun loosening laws in multiple states. We are desperately in need of some common sense gun laws to try to stop all this violence—–too many numbnuts walking around with a gun in their pants, ready to fire at the slightest provacation.

    • 73 EricFive
      April 30, 2012 at 12:04 pm

They show the full GOP anti-Obama ads and don’t show PBO’s political ads because they want to create the impression that PBO is unpopular. That is why “celebrities” such as Matt Damon and John Cusack know that if they need to get some free publicity, just talk some shyte about PBO and the MSM will give them the microphone. I’m glad that Whoopi decided to defend PBO’s record.

    • 74 itgurl_29
      April 30, 2012 at 12:29 pm

As you guys already know, ABC basically the Fox News of network tv. Secondly, as someone who used to watch the View daily but hasn’t watched in years, I can tell you that their executive producer, Bill Geddie is a total wingnut. I mean, he’s Sean Hannity crazy and is basically the far right’s go to guy in the “liberal” media. The View has ALWAYS had a total anti-Democratic slant. Every single time POTUS is discussed on that show, the topic is presented from a negative angle. Elizabeth Hasselbitch is basically there to spew rw talking points. That’s why she was hired. Oh and she’s also allegedly Bill Geddie’s mistress. Little Ms. Right Wing America is cheating on her dear hubby with her boss…allegedly.

So don’t take the View to seriously. But good for Whoopi for FINALLY shutting Hasselbitch down.

    • 75 0388jojothecat
      April 30, 2012 at 1:33 pm

This country WILL NOT do anything about guns in this country until a high profile pro-NRA Republican or his family member is gunned down. I was watching the Bill Cosby interview with Candy Crowley and David Gregory last night when the media host was trying to get Cosby to say whether Trayvon’s death was racially motivated and Cosby said it was about GUNS. President Obama can not at this point do anything about guns because that is all we will hear, PBO wants to take away the white mans gun so he can rape white women and make us all become musslims.

    • 76 Mel
      April 30, 2012 at 1:46 pm

The reason they are running negative Ads is because Karl Rove wants the Whole country that PBO
KILLED OBL last year and this is a big accomplishment for PBO, the GOP wants to pretend tha the Killing
of OBL never happen so we have to push BACK against those assholes.

People we have to push back. John McCain said he agrees with Arianna that President Obama’s camp should not talk about the killing of OBL. Actually, that’s a good thing – because it signals for those naive “progressives” who thought that Arianna was one of them – that Arianna and McCain come from the SAME CAMP! I’m not at all threatened by this – HuffnPuff belongs with McCain, and he with her. Together, they reduce each other’s credibility even lower than it already is. I responded to Stein’s tweet by mocking the both of them.

If it were Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid that had said this I would be concerned. But John McCain? Not at all!

        April 30, 2012 at 12:15 pm

The MSM/GOP wants to take away all of PBO’s attributes (since when is being “cool” a negative in this country?), they don’t want him to be able to fight back against their anti-Obama propaganda. That is why they both complain of PBO’s “tone” when he goes after the GOP. That is why they say he shouldn’t “politicize” the killing of Bin Laden (I find it strange that these people did not complain when Bush and GOP exploited the 9/11 attacks for political gain). Had Bush got Bin Laden, the MSM would have crowned him emperor for life. It is a double standard that always seems to favor the GOP. The MSM views it as their job to hamstring PBO at every turn and keep him from getting his message out to the American people.

      • April 30, 2012 at 12:44 pm

This. Once and for all Saturday night The President smoked out this mole. She got caught with her GOP showing and today is not even trying to hide it anymore. Whoever was on the fence as to whether or not Huffington was on the Democrat’s side had that answered loud and clear.

Good on you Obama Grandmama. The gift is distasteful but I think it’s more silly than offensive, and I doubt that will have much impact on how PBO is viewed here or elsewhere, much less impact the outcome elections. It sounds like another cheap ploy to make money off President Obama.

Here’s the description of the item listed under “Gifts just for fun.”:

      // Farting President
The President is a real gas—as human as the next guy, republican or democrat! Pull his finger for sound effects while he insults politicians, cracks jokes or raps. 21 sayings in all. Crafted of soft fabric. Batteries included. 13″ high. //

They also have the “president” doll uttering Bush’s “WMDs…” I don’t purchase from that company and this is the first time I’m hearing about it. Do they have a wide patronage? And how many people actually see their merchandise? I think a phone call might be more effective than writing/emailing because it sounds like a small company.

LOL!! She was like “Okay enough with the chanting I get it. Mitt, Mitt, Mitt. Could you tell your grand kids to stop already?”

Aww, he seemed genuinely surprised and happy that those 7 people were chanting his name. Poor thing. He’ll never know what it’s like to have 50,000 people spontaneously start chanting “4 more years” or “Yes we can” or “O-ba-ma”.

Wow. That is one “pumped up crowd.” What was that? A rager consisting of five people chanting “Mitt” Pres. Obama must be sooooo jealous. šŸ™„

It was an excellent read. Better than anything I’ve seen in the media — and it’s all facts that *should* be well known. Tipped and rec’d.

We shouldn’t really criticize Arianna Huffington, she’s always been so principled you know……

Huffington and her then husband Michael “transported an undocumented family nanny to Washington” less than two months after he co-sponsored a House bill calling for a five-year jail sentence for any employer who transported an illegal immigrant for work purposes.

I clicked on a link in the Chirpstory about the fraud Huffington…..it was about an article I read months ago…dated December 2011.

    Here’s the title

    December 20, 2011
”Liberal Heavyweights As MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, Arianna Huffington And Others Abandon Obama For Poor Performance And Deceptive Rhetoric”

    Liberal heavyweight my ***

I can’t even express how much the fact that she still pretend to be a ”progressive” anger me…She was never a supporter of the President, she didn’t vote for him, she’s been bashing him from day one. She is a Republican,.

For her to pretend that she is not is very disgusting.

      April 30, 2012 at 1:12 pm

“Liberal Heavyweights” being used to describe two individuals who just a few years ago were documented hard-core Bush-bots! What a JOKE. I think Obama is so happy to be not associated with these phonies…let them embrace LOSER Willard!

Well. Nothing like waking up on a rainy day in central Illinois only to find a “Dear Jacqueline” email from some younger guy named “Barack” telling me it’s his “last campaign.” How to break a heart, eh? Me no likey.

We really need to get him those 28 more (dog) years. I’m IN. 2017 is going to be a bust.

The White House is considering a change in policy toward the sale of F-16C/D fighters to Taiwan, a move that could further rile relations with China ahead of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner’s trip there this week.

White House Director of Legislative Affairs Robert Nabors wrote a letter to Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) that said the Obama administration would give the sale of new F-16 aircraft to Taiwan ā€œserious consideration,ā€ after the administration had previously agreed in September only to help modernize Taiwan’s existing fleet of F-16A/B fighters, a less advanced aircraft than the Lockheed Martin-made F-16C/Ds.

President Obama on Monday slammed Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and the House Republican leadership for the second time in a week.

Obama’s latest attack on Boehner is over construction projects, which the president says have been blocked by Republicans who have refused to take up a long-term highway bill approved in a bipartisan vote by the Senate.

At Private Fundraiser, Mitt Romney Tells Donors That Democrats Hate Golf Courses |

Mitt Romney attended a fundraiser at the luxurious estate of Papa John’s founder John Schnatter recently, where he told the audience that Democrats don’t believe anyone should own a golf course or a pool. ā€œWhat a home this is, what grounds these are, the pool, the golf course,ā€ he said. ā€œYou know, if a Democrat were here he’d look around and say no one should live like this. Republicans come here and say EVERYONE should live like this. This is a real tribute to America, to entrepreneurship.ā€

Wow…he know a lot of franchise owners that serve awful food.

Glad I stopped eating Papa John’s a while ago. Oh, and the guy who owns Domino’s is also another wingnut. I’m talking, he’s crazy like Santorum.

I actually like Papa John’s pizzas but stopped patronizing them after finding how much the owner gives to Republicans.
After reading what he said, I see I made the right decision.

WOW! I wonder what he thinks of George Clooney (Democrat), Steven Speilberg (Democrat), Oprah Winfrey (Democrat), and a host of wealthy Democrats who have lovely homes with pools and golf courses. Robme is such a total idiot….he has to slam Obama on every ocassion no matter where he is…no wonder the Republicans hate him…..he just can’t deliver a cohesive, intelligent message.

A previously recorded news show is on one of my PBS channels, with some previously viable correspondents on it. Not sure what they’re saying ’cause it’s muted, but they showed an image of Jan Brewer. Reminded me that I saw a lady on the street yesterday who looked just like Jan Brewer, poor thing. She looked lost and I almost asked her if I could give her a ride or something – you know – get her off the street. Beauty is only skin deep, but ugly goes straight to the bone. No offense to the woman I saw – felt bad for her misfortune. Hey, I don’t look great at this age, but at least I don’t look like Jan Brewer.
