ah. friday. morning all – sue sorry about your aunt! rest in peace.

Loved the Adam Levine tweet – RT’d that. Got to sit in on a national conference call last night with our FLOTUS. (ie. thousands probably of us gathered around phones in OFA offices across the country listening in.) She wanted everyone to know how thankful she and PBO are for everything that we are doing to get him re-elected. Whether big or small it does not matter it IS the effort that is appreciated. That really gave me a boost and I thought you all would like to know that too. These people are the real deal. Very down to earth and warm! 🙂

Well back to work! Everyone have a great day and remember whatever you can do to help is important and appreciated.

Oh do I wish it was Martin Bashir for 3 hours in the morning….what a difference it would make….anyway I don’t watch MJ, I don’t want to be angry early in the morning………..but I did notice a few tweets about the vile Peggy Noonan this morning so I figured she must have wrote another stupid article…..yes of course.

So instead of avoiding it…grrrr…I read maybe 1/3 of her article…I had enough….nobody can be that hateful, it’s not normal behavior.

Like this little gem: ”As he makes his points he often seems distracted, as if he’s holding a private conversation in his head, noticing crowd size, for instance, and wishing the front row would start fainting again, like they used to.”

I know she is a regular on a Sunday show, round table…but I don’t know which one….is it Meet the Press or This Week?…I have to write an email this morning…..I know it’s a drop in the ocean and won’t do anything but I’ll feel better.

Pardon my language, but how in the hell can she write what she thinks is a person’s head? How drunk on your own self do you have to be to write some garbage like that? What an elitist bitch.

P of O, Peggy Noonan’s very brief moment in the sun was over and gone a long time ago. Since then, she’s fed on that distant time like Gloria Swanson in Sunset Boulevard, hoping against hope that somehow, someway her glory will reignite. She’s like all has beens–old, worn out and out of synch with the times. If she wasn’t so filled with hate and resentment, I would pity her. Frankly Jon Faveau runs circles around her as a speech writer and I have a pretty good sense of that, having been a speechwriter at times in my past. In today’s speechwriting environment, she would be mediocre at best since she falls in love with her words and subverts the meaning. And she was NEVER–even in her glory days– someone whose opinion mattered. Her job was to translate her bosses opinions into words. Away from the long dead Reagan, she has nothing to say that is relevant to anything.

Peggy Noonan is poison. Her hate and venom of Pres. Obama has nothing to do with his policies but with him as a person. Her attacks are just beyond the pale. Everytime I see her, she looks so ugly and devoid of humanity as though her hate is consuming her from the inside. Plus she talks as though she was dropped repeatedly on her head as a child.

The old b*tch Noonan so miss the days where she worship Ronald Reagen. Her words just show as UT said, this is personal, it’s not about President Obama policies.. Maybe she’s a racists, any time the anger is that deep down it’s something more than the fact that he’s a Democrat and you’re a Republican.

She called President Obama a loser, a walking headache….just a few examples of how vile she is but she did wrote this about George Bush at the beginning of his term.

The GOP candidate, she wrote in her Wall Street Journal column, “seems transparently a good person, a genuine fellow who isn’t hidden or crafty or sneaky or mean, a person of appropriate modesty.” Over the next year or so, she went on to call him “respectful, moderate, commonsensical, courteous,” and “a modest man of faith.” She has seen in him “dignity” and “a kind of joshy gravitas.” And this was before September 11. Since then, he has risen in her estimation. The president has “a new weight, a new gravity, a new physical and moral comfort.” He possesses “a sharp and intelligent instinct, an inner shrewdness.” He is “emotionally and intellectually mature.”

      From the article:

In a nondescript store front next to a Pembroke Pines gym, Florida Democrats launched a major offensive this week to boost their ranks despite a Republican law that makes the voter-registration push harder than ever.

The President Obama’s re-election campaign has closely studied the registration-crackdown law for months and devised a step-by-step quality-control process and is ready this weekend to train hundreds of volunteers at its 24 offices throughout the state.

The battle for the White House could literally hinge on the effort in a state where President George W. Bush won his first term in 2000 thanks to a margin of 537 votes in Florida.

But long before Election Day, Democrats will gather in meetings much like the one led Wednesday by Organizing for America Florida activist Meghan Hardy. Bearing a chipper attitude and a Power Point presentation, Hardy taught about a dozen volunteers the dos and don’ts of voter registration. She gave a six-question quiz at the end.

“When we just register someone to vote, we don’t just register them and then stop,” Hardy said. “We think about it as the beginning of a conversation that we’re going to be having with voters between now and Election Day.”

All these evil spawn will do is convince sensible people that PBO is on the side of conservation and preserving the planet for our future and those of our children. Most people actually care that their children have a chance to breathe clean air and drink decent water. Those who love oil above all others and are dying to line the Koch Brother packets with more money weren’t going to vote for him anyway. On the one hand, it’s good they’re wasting their money. Tea Party favorite and congressional candidate “Joe the Plumber” said his Christian “brother” Barack Obama was “blessed by God” …

Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher blasted those who question the president’s faith, saying that Obama’s conversion to Christianity — his father was raised Muslim, and his mother was an atheist — “came against all odds” and allowed him to “throw off his past.”

“He became a Christian against all odds, and ultimately — I don’t know God’s will — but if you follow what God wants you to do, he will bless you. Barack Obama has been blessed by God, to become president,” Wurzelbacher told POLITICO.

…. “After Barack Hussein Obama suddenly cast-off his Muslim roots, rejected his mother’s disbelief in God, turned tail on the Islam of his early life and converted to Christianity — BLAM — he’s elected President,” he wrote in the letter, which he plans to distribute to churches during his campaign. “Anyone who believes the two things are not connected is being disingenuous at best. I don’t know how or when it happened, whether when he was partying at college or five minutes before he first decided to run for office, but it doesn’t matter — he came to Christ and he is my brother.”

    • April 27, 2012 at 8:30 am

Joe the plumber, doesn’t even have a plumbing license.
Now, what did the Bible say about lying?
The Bible says in James 3:8, “But no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.” The tongue can be the most wicked weapon on earth, so use it wisely and speak your words with caution. As Christians, we shouldn’t fill our lives with deceit. We should always strive to leave honest, open lives that are full of trust and love. But, since we are all human, sometimes it is hard to avoid lying.

It leaves you speechless, doesn’t it? Sure, he became president, BLAM, just like that. No years of education to expand his already brilliant mind, no moral teachings from his humanitarian mother, no struggles as a community organizer to reach out to the poor and powerless, no terms in the state legislature, fighting for fairness, no time in the US Senate, no inspiring vision for America and the world, no years of reflection and disciplined physical and mental training, no natural charisma, no world-class charm, no caring heart, no thousands of man hours campaigning, no tens of thousands of volunteers working their heart out for him –just. BLAM, there he was president of the United States. Even when good ol’ Joe is trying to be “nice,” he sounds like a blithering idiot.

President Obama doesn’t talk about Christianity. President Obama lives Christianity. The gop needs to go back to Sunday School. It might help them if they actually studied the tenets of the Islam faith too. I am not an expert on world faiths, but I have yet to study one that has HATE in their beliefs. Just saying.

I have to share this with you guys.
We live in Wisconsin. During the primaries we had a robo call from Santorum campaign. My husband made the mistake of pressing 1 when they asked to press 1 if you are going to vote in the GOP primary. That triggered an avalanche of GOP calls to our house. I got one from Walker campaign I said after what he had done to the UW system and women (I am an educator and a woman) I will never vote for Walker. I thought that was the end of it. Nooooo, my husband got a call last night from Wisconsin GOP asking -Do you agree that President Obama has done an awful job as president? He said, no I am going to vote for PO. They hung up. I just could not stop laughing. This is the guy who went for Bush twice. He couldn’t vote the first time because we were not U.S. citizens then- second time my daughter and I tried to lock him in the basement on Election Day, but couldn’t. Then Senator Obama came along and converting him to vote for Obama/Biden was easy. Ladies in this household are so proud.

Hey, there are a lot of white males, amk, who will work and vote for the president. There are good Democratic males, sensible males and a whole lot of others who will make the right choice. And for those who operate on the most primitive of levels, consider this: Romney comes across as weak and not comfortable in his skin; PBO always looks and acts like a leader. If you’re going for the alpha male, it sure isn’t Romney.

I sure hope so, sure hope so, jackie. Let’s face it, we need to peel of a considerable section of white folks and I feel white women are more sensible than their dickish counterparts. Pun intended.

        • April 27, 2012 at 9:40 am

Yes, there are many of us white males that will vote for PBO and every other Dem we an find. I, as most of you know, also, fall into the senior white male category. Yet, I have chosen not to live a fear based life. I think that is the big thing. Most Republican voters vote based on fear. Dem white votres vote based upon a more positive view of the world around us. On 9/11 (and keep in mind I was a Dem well before that) I vowed that fear was not going to control me, and I was disgusted that Bush and the Republican Party based everything on fear. It goes beyond hope in the future, it goes to belief in what we, as a country and as a people can be. And PBO exemplifies more than any person I have ever seen in public office, that belief.

Thank you! What is all this animosity to the POTUS’ every move, every event? I think they’re angry that President Obama is out in the public, never mind the worthwhile purposes of his appearances. They would much prefer that he stay locked away in a basement office, out of sight, out of mind and not out making it obvious that the people so love and appreciate him.

Romney camp: Obama using bin Laden to “divide us”

MIAMI — A Miami federal judge Thursday slammed Gov. Rick Scott’s order requiring random drug testing for tens of thousands of state government employees as “unconstitutional” because his policy failed to specify any “public interests” to justify the invasion of privacy.

Scott said he was disappointed and immediately vowed to appeal the ruling, saying he believes that “drug testing state employees is a common sense means of ensuring a safe, efficient and productive workforce.”

But the governor would face a formidable challenge on appeal in the higher courts.

U.S. District Judge Ursula Ungaro declared that Scott’s executive order to conduct random drug tests of 85,000 state employees amounted to an “unreasonable” search under the Fourth Amendment of the Constitution. Her decision was based on U.S. Supreme Court precedents that have cited the Fourth Amendment ban on unreasonable searches, concluding that governments cannot require job applicants to take drug tests absent a “special need,” such as safety.
