    • April 27, 2012 at 6:40 pm

Read the text here—-the students that greeted FLOTUS—-their comments are priceless: Gayo, a fith grader at Mike Davis, said he was nervous as he waited on the tarmac for the first lady to arrive. “‘But then she hugged me and all my butterflies went away”, he said. “She acts like she’s your friend.” He said he would never forget this day and couldn’t wait to get home and tell his mom. Another little girl said she was so excited she felt like screaming and said, “She’s beautiful and tall.”

dotster3, Linda, you have to know when to read and not to read. Most of these people are racists, it eats them alive to see our black POTUS and FLOTUS. But I’m like POTUS and FLOTUS, yes there are some people out there who don’t like them, who hate them, but I believe there are alot more who do like them. And in no way am I comparing the Obamas to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, but I say this because not everyone is going to like you, everyone didn’t Jesus regardless how many miracles he perform.

I’m beginning to think that part of the Obama campaign strategy to keep pressing on Romney many statements. I know that the MSM are aware of the strategy turn, but I think another aspect of the strategy is to be so precise in their attacks and leaving no “real” room for R-Money and the R-Money millionaires campaign to maneuever. I think it works. Using Romney’s exact quotes to ring his neck is very effective, because unlike R-Money’s campaigns’ decision to distort and out right lie about what Obama actually said/says, the Obama campaign can point out that R-Money campaign is lying and that Obama did not say that. Can R-Money’s campaign really say the same about their client with all the evidence including video, articles, recording, etc that are available. I think they’ll try, but with ALL the gaffes and downright stupid statements from their candidate I just don’t think they will be able to keep up unless Obama, Biden, Axelrod and Ploufe and ‘nem have unforced errors.

Citizens United is the only saving grace R-Money has to even the playing field.

I think that even though the media would do it’s uptmost best to let Romney get away from all the crazy extreme RW BS he spewed due to the primary, but the campaign is so far making it REALLY hard for legitimate MSM to do so by using Romney own words (in the case of Joe Biden on foreign policy) and in the own words of the Romney surrogates.

Case in point: Case in point:

Obama on Ledbetter Act: I Won’t Have To ‘Get Back To You’

Obama was speaking to the Women’s Leadership Forum in Washington, D.C. Friday afternoon, and told the audience:

And as long as I’m president, we are going to keep moving forward. You can count on that. You don’t have to take my word on it – you’ve got my signature on it. Because something like standing up for the principle of equal pay for equal work isn’t something I’m going to have to “get back to you on” – it’s the first law I signed.

Speaking of the Joe Biden speech as an example, it was so effective, even Mark “da dick” Halperin couldn’t fix his mouth to make this one “good for Romney”. Which means something since “da dick’s” lips are firmly plastered on R-Money’s ass.

remember a few weeks ago during the GOP primary, President Obama himself (in an interview but I forget with whom) said that Team Obama will not have to come up with many attack ads to let the voters know where the gop candidate stands. Instead, he said they will just load the clips of the words from the gop’s own mouths and replay that over and over. he was smiling as he said this

What is fascinating, is that the Romney campaign decided they were going to copy everything that President Obama did. They have just made it easier for this kind of comparison.

          April 27, 2012 at 7:34 pm

Their campaign slogan should be: Hate, Imitate (wash, rinse, repeat).

It appears they have no original ideas or plans on how to govern this country, but I believe he knows exactly what he wants to do. He knows, however, that if voters were made aware of his true intentions he would never be elected. So, the plan is to keep the focus on PBO, reveal nothing, sneak into the White House and do what he does best, creative destruction. He will sell off or privatize the country’s assets, fire and layoff as many people as possible, destroy the unions, raid Social Security and pension funds, destroy the safety net and lower taxes even further on the 1%. When he’s done, the majority of this country will look just like another one of Bain’s looted and abandoned factories in some decimated small town.

    • April 27, 2012 at 6:55 pm

That is a beaut—–there couldn’t be any wider contrast. I loved when Willard told the students that if they needed money to borrow it from their parents. He has led such a sheltered, aristocratic existence, he is so out of touch.

My parents were poor … very poor. We are talking at one point in their lives commodities poor (before Food Stamps); but when I decided to go to college, they were there for me … they supported me emotionally; I had no car; my Dad drove me to campus and dropped me off, so sometimes I had to stay all day til he could come and get me; I carpooled other days with a church friend and we took our lunches. My parents scrimped and saved to give me enough money to cover what my tuition assistance did not cover. Borrow money from them for my education or to start a business … I don’t think so. But I had love and support! Romney, I would love to do to you what you did to your dog. You are contemptible.

    • April 27, 2012 at 7:32 pm

I’m sorry, but this is worse than McCain. I mean, I saw why people would vote McCain. The story was there. Former POW who fought in Vietnam, son of a navy admiral, served in Arizona as a Congressman and Senator for nearly thirty years. With Romney, former one term governor of the State of Massachusetts…….and venture capitalist of Bain Capital which brought devastation to many peoples lives by destroying their jobs. Son of George Romney, governor of Michigan, General Motors Executive and Secretary of HUD under Richard Nixon. I mean, there is NO STORY there except rich pampered white guy running for the white office, well at least white until 2008.

I’m still in shock about Romney’s comment, sure, just borrow 20K from your parents. It’s so easy……….geezzz, can he be more out of touch? It’s like he lives on another planet.

I had to go back and check the article about his sons’ trust fund……I can understand that 20K is like loose change for him.

Romney’s sons have a trust fund worth $100 million.

Johnston says currently the maximum amount a married couple can pass to their children without paying gift taxes is $10 million. But the Romney’s confirmed through their lawyers that they did not pay any gift tax on the $100 million account. How is this possible?

“They apparently gave the sons some of their carried interest. And because the carried interest is not an ownership, it is a right to receive profits, Congress lets you value that gift at zero,” Johnston said.

The parents have effectively pushed forward not just the 100 million the sons have, they avoided the 31 million in gift tax, so they’ve really in effect given their sons the equivalent of $130 million without paying any tax…

good ear itgurl!!!! I’m seriously suffering from a toothache and it’s not because of the tons of Werther’s Originals I’ve been stuffing down my gullet. they are so sweet and natural. For all the rightwing nutbags who’ve ever thought that the way they interact is a publicity stunt, this should silence them forever. That was so natural, him being a gentleman and offering her his handkerchief and telling her he loves her. Then the way she said it back was sooooooooooooooooo sweet!!!! She said it in such a cute way!!! Like she’s said it a million times and can say it again a million times a day, a million different ways in millions of places, even in front of a crowd of 10,000!!!!! Eat your hearts out Mr. & Mrs. Money!!!!! This is what love looks like!

Good God, that is one Beeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyooooooooooooooooooooooooooootiful First Couple!!! I am always aghast at tehir grace, but today’s chemistry was off the charts. Kinda like rubbing it in Rove’;s face.

I so remmber Rove saying in 2008 with such green envy that PBO is like the cool guy in the bar who relishes teh attention the gals are giving him. duh, PBO IS good looking and he knows it. Michelle is beautiful. But the kicker here is that PBO & FLOTUS do not rely on their physical attractiveness as crutch to get them through life.

PBO’s got brains and a gentle heart. All of which makes him even more handsome beyond physical looks. Romney’s venal heart has etched a vile look on his face. That’s the contrast right there. And voters can see that clearly. No reprisal of Britney Spears/Paris Hilton “celebrity” ads are gonna cut it this time. Sux to be the GOP. Simple!!!

I believe it’s because assets are taken into consideration when setting bail, you want to set bail high enough so that losing what you put up as bail is a deterrent to absconding.

Over 111,000 People Have Signed A Petition Denouncing Rep. Foxx’s Disparaging Comments About People With Student Loans | Earlier this month, ThinkProgress first reported Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC) remarks showing distaste for people with large student loans. “I have very little tolerance” for them, Foxx declared on a conservative radio show. Her comments have since been widely criticized, including in a speech by President Obama earlier this week. Rebuild the Dream also began a petition drive to denounce Foxx; in less than two weeks, over 111,000 people have added their names.

FCC Votes For Online Transparency Of Political Advertisement Purchases |

By a two-to-one vote, the Federal Communications Commission voted today to require broadcasters to make previously hard-to-find public records available online. Within two years, they will have to post in an FCC online database their “public file” including who purchased or attempted to purchase air time for political advertisements and how much they paid for it.

This information is currently only available by showing up, in person, at each television or radio station, and there are often bureaucratic barriers to actually accessing the information. While this additional transparency will not allow citizens to know who is funding shady independent ads, it will at least allow them to track where the spending is going and how much is being spent for each airtime purchase. The two Democrats on the Commission voted for the rules, the lone Republican voted against.

That Warrior Walk is what I was referring to earlier. Each tree represents a soldier from the 3rd ID that was killed in Iraq. Based upon what I saw when I was there several years ago, you are seeing in those pictures maybe about 15% of the whole thing.

thought of your comments here earlier today when I saw the photos of POTUS and FLOTUS visiting the Warrior Walk. I recalled the contents of your comments that you shared and of course you have a guess what followed next … tears flowing freely.

So much sacrifice from so many based on a lie that leaders knew they could get away with. makes one so angry and sad all over again.
