Wassup peeps. I just got off the phone w/ my mom and she doesn’t pay attention to politics AT ALL. This is what she said about our friend Mitt:

“Who the hell is Romney? He’s wasting his damn time. His ass ain’t gonna be President! When the debates come, Obama gonna make him look like a dumbass!!”

    LOL!!! 😀

Miss pat, by the time POB finish with Willard Mitt in his first debate, that alone will send Willard on one of those Paris vacation trips that he said he might find the time to take Mrs. Romney.

When POB finish with flip flop little Mitt, French will be pouring from his nose, ears, and eyes. ” I smell France, I hear France, and I see France, spoke Willard Mitt Romney. End of debate. HZ

easy. we’ll be celebrating america’s first female president, elizabeth warren. after 8 years of her, we might be able to fix most the republican damage to the constitution, america, and the world. first things first though this year, and getting her and other great democrats to d.c.

I have gotten to the point where I can barely watch this woman. I try; but it is so depressing so I change the channel. Do these people realize this is an election year? Does she understand her belly-aching is feeding right wing trolls? Ditto Bill Press belly ache.

As I’ve been saying for a few months: THEY DON’T CARE. They will keep their positions of wealth and influence no matter who wins. For the chattering classes elections are just games; hell, most of them probably don’t vote, a la Olbermann. They will do just fine under a President Romney. 90% of our media fail on a daily basis to fulfill the one function they have in a democracy, and that’s to inform.

    Beautiful compilation, Chips. Thanks much.

Thanks everyone for the earlier reminders re: PBO on Jimmy Fallon. I am setting my alarm clock so that I can be sure to be awake to see it tonight.

I am always touched when I see college students sleeping over night in the cold on side walks waiting to get tickets to see PBO when he comes to their campuses. This has never happened at any time for anyone;usually kids do this for concert tickets, movies and Apple products. To see them do the same for PBO is so amazing and inspiring. How did Willard ever think that he could challenge our president? The only people who are for him are the power-brokers who will make him a puppet president and the racist who believe that any white man is better than PBO.

Thanks for the moving video Chips.
It nearly brought me to tears see the students groping hand symbolically and wanting to be close to our President. The students, our future, get it. They know what’s at stake should they succumb to the Flipping, Lie, Machine (his Etch- A -Sketch) Willard uses to court their votes.

I loved seeing and hearing all the energy in the room with the young people including our young handsome, intelligent, President.

What is happening in the GOP right now is that the people who supported Santorum and Ron Paul are being completely frozen out of the process. They aren’t even being allowed to be elected as delegates in some states. All in the name of “unity”. Basically the GOP is saying toe the line or there’s the door.

just watched the video, and while i think he’s used those phrases before such as “make an investment” and “it’s our turn now,” they are especially useful now in light of mr. and mrs. mittbot using those phrases for their own gain, rather than PBO’s use to mean all of us together. man, our guy is good!!

Rush fatboy just can’t help himself. He started yet ANOTHER shitstorm with Sandra Fluke, this time invoking a wacko conspiracy that she, Hillary Rosen, Anita Dunn, and other “White House insiders” are pushing for massive debt on student loans. Fluke, Rosen, and Dunn don’t work at the WH! Fluke was only made a public name BECAUSE of Limbaugh, Rosen works for CNN, and Dunn hasn’t worked at the WH in quite some time. THIS is the gameplan from the right wing: push outright WACKO conspiracy theory BULLSHIT as TRUTH and hope that enough of America falls for it so that they vote for the flip flopping robotic Etch a sketch in a suit President!

  27. April 24, 2012 at 7:35 pm

Interior Secretary Ken Salazar blasted House Republicans Tuesday for pursuing “fairy tale” energy policies that he said are aimed at scoring political points going into the election.

Salazar, in one of his most fiery speeches in months, accused Republicans of creating a false divide over energy policy that doesn’t reflect public sentiment and stretches the facts to suit their political agenda.

“It’s in this imagined energy world where we see this growing and continued divide in the energy debate in America. But the divide is not among ordinary Americans, it is between some people here in Washington, D.C.,” Salazar said. “It’s a divide between the real energy world that we work on every day and the imagined, fairy tale world.”

Salazar said the Republican energy agenda is “an invention of a campaign year and political rhetoric.”

Postal reform will cost 34 billion. This is a problem, as the recent budget control act said, that no new bill can ad to deficit.
Thus, corresponding cuts will have to be made, ultimately!
And that ain’t happening. I fear the Pist office demise might be a casualty if this recession and that awful 2006 bill that was passed.
