Thanks, Chips. I am lurking as much as possible, usually quick scrolling. The good friend who had the massive stroke couple weeks ago passed away last Saturday so I am now in northern VA for his service Saturday. Went to choir practice tonight so I can sing at his service. Will spend much of the day tomorrow with his wife.

Love this family here at TOD. A special group of people!!!!!!

Jay Carney is da’ bomb! I love the way President Obama surronds himself with smart, good, people with great character. Sort of like himself.

The other thing that I like about this Jay Carney video is the fact that he is taking questions from US!!! This administration is slowly but surely working its way around the idiots who call themselves journalists in the White House Press Corp.

It’s like Jay and Co. are saying “Ya’ll idiots can’t ask an intelligent question? We’ll STRAIGHT TO THE PUBLIC. They ask WAY BETTER questions than you jackals. ”

      I LOVE IT!! 😆 😆 😆

Please consider asking Warren Buffett to create a truly great enterprise in service of The Republic. He is one of the few who could and, in effect, be the 21st Century Benjamin Franklin.

Certainly won’t hurt if 1000s of TODers asked!

Bobfr – Wasn’t our dear Warren just diagnosed with cancer? Not sure, but I think I saw that. Doesn’t mean he’s not “in” with your brilliant idea, though, knowing that sweetheart!

Stage 1 Prostate cancer … if managed quickly (which it most certainly will be) he should be with us for quite a lot longer, thankfully. And, having many folk requesting he be our 21st Century Ben Franklin – for real – might be a boost to his well-being. Certainly hope he’d take it that way.

Thank you for you for asking and for all your support.

President Obama Announces Patricia “Pat” Summitt as a Recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom
“Coach Summitt is an inspiration – both as the all-time winningest NCAA coach, and as someone who is willing to speak so openly and courageously about her battle with Alzheimer’s. Pat’s gift has always been her ability to push those around her to new heights, and over the last 38 years, her unique approach has resulted in both unparalleled success on the court and unrivaled loyalty from those who know her and those whose lives she has touched. Pat’s coaching career may be over, but I’m confident that her work is far from finished. I look forward to awarding her this honor.”

Did anyone see where Lawrence O’Donnell prove Mitt “the liar” Romney lied about his father being poor. This man lies every darn day and if this man lies so easily, how can anyone really trust him to tell the truth about anything. People talk of polls showing Romney polling better in taking care of the economy than POTUS, but how can you trust a liar? If he lies about one thing he will lie about everything, including fixing the economy.

Hi TODers…just experimented with Twitition. Because I too enjoy the way Martin Bashir reports, I thought I would start with a twition to moving his show to the repeat Tweety 7PM slot. Okay, will try and do a copy and paste of my tweet…(don’t think I’ve mastered it yet), but here goes

Driving home just now and the news brief on the radio station was quoting the new NBC polls. President Obama is leading of course, but wouldn’t you know it?!!

The newscaster quickly added analysis by of all people, chuck Todd!!! Spinning away about how even though President Obama is leading, Romney “leads” in 2 “crucial” areas – “the economy” and “changing washington”!!!

Never has there been any type of analysis when President Obama miraculously “falls behind” in the very contrived polls thrown out there every hour on the hour!!! But we are now subjected to the specifics of the poll when Romne lags behind!!!

LOL!!! The media is crazy stupid if they think they can manipulate us this way again!!!

We are on to the good for nothing media and they are going down with Mitt Romney come November!!!

Eleroy, what I don’t get is how is anyone really going to trust a liar. A man who say one thing to one group, another thing to another group, and a totally different thing to someone else. He constantly lies, but yet people trust him to fix the economy. Haven’t these people learn that you can’t trust a liar.

        Hi Annie!!!
I don’t think it’s so much “trust” where Romney is concerned as much as it is about pushing this narrative that has plagued America for far too long: White guy Romney must be, has to be, way smarter and have better ideas than the black guy in the White House – naturally!!!

Nevermind that Mitt Romney has NOTHING, ZERO, ZILCH in his record or life story to support this stereotype of superior ideas or abilities!!!

With all the advantages and head start Mitt Romney has had all his life, he remains ordinary and unspectacular and done nothing much besides lazily doing the equivalent of buying and flipping foreclosed houses – pulling the rug from right under the feet of exploited, desperate homeowners!!!

Many idiots easily run that game and where Romney failed, he always had a huge inheritance to fall back on!!!

Nobody had to know he failed often too. Just like with Donald Trump, the perception of wealth seems to shield trust fund failures from being confronted with their disastrous “efforts”!!!
