Do I know who Henry Healy is?

    • March 17, 2012 at 3:03 pm

Henry is 8th cousin to President Obama. His mother’s family have ancestors to trace back to Moneygall, where Henry lives.

      March 17, 2012 at 3:04 pm

He’s PBO’s 8th cousin from Moneygall Ireland, better known as “Henry the Eighth!” Henry was a big part of PBO and FLOTUS’s visit to Ireland last May.

It just identified where the check came from on the stub and that was all. I was puzzled until I saw a similar situation on MSNBC. So, if any of you sexy senior, that have had medical issues like I have, get a check in the mail. You know what to do. Go get a tot of rhum like I did or whatevah!

Happy for you! I bet that was a refund of your drug benefit, closing the so called “doughnut hole” I read people were supposed to be getting those rebates. We won’t because we have Tri-care for life as our medicare supplement, thank you all the deities! Hubby gets his BP meds direct in the mail from Tri-care, 90 supply with no co-pay. My asthma meds cost me just a small co-pay. So we are very fortunate.

Enjoy your wind fall and a “kiss from the Gunny” That’s what the marines in my family call a shot of Captain (“Gunny”) Morgan rum but as Hubby would say: “What do jarheads know about rum?!?”

Hate to spoil anyone’s cheers but did you view that accompanying video ” Vets for Ron Paul turn back on PBO” ? I hadn’t known about this or when it happened but that is a sizeable group of vets (former and current). I wonder if any of these creeps did the same to Bush. And just how many active vets at that time defied their CIC. Sickening.

    • March 17, 2012 at 5:04 pm

Earlier today I heard the so-called “spokesman” of the OWS movement doing an interview on the radio. He said they’re planning big demonstrations at both the DNC and the GOP conventions. He said that PBO was just as bad as the GOP nominees because he’s takes money from corporations and that means he works for the good of them and not the people. Just freakin’ stupid juvenile nonsense.

      • 157 hopefruit2
        March 17, 2012 at 5:10 pm

Wasn’t it the same OWS who had planned to “Occupy Obama” during the Iowa caucuses? Well, how did that work out? And what about the other time when they forgot that they were supposedly protesting Obama and instead whipped out their cameras and started taking pictures?!?

OWS is insignificant that’s why they’ve run out of money and support, and reduced to nothing but a fringe attention-seeking group. For all the so-called support that Ron Paul has, why is he usually DEAD LAST in those GOP primaries?

        • 158 EDP4BHO
          March 17, 2012 at 5:26 pm

“why is he usually DEAD LAST in those GOP primaries?”

Exactly right, but this also points out all the animosity, unwarranted IMO, toward PBO when others were allowed to get off scott free for crimes and misdemeanors. I tend to be a skeptic when it comes to America, and I will also say that all those celebrating today in those pics with PBO, I hope they are supporters and not just elated due to their imbibing. No harm meant. PBO has enemies left and right, black and white, gay and straight, educated and uneducated- who all tend to hold him way much more accountable than they did any past prez. To me, it’s a bit unforgiveable as he is the only President in my lifetime, except for Jimmy Carter, though PBO is even more so compassionate, almost to a fault, for folks who would sooner see him lynched than to succeed in making all of our lives better. I do not take them lightly. In another vane, I was at Dollar Tree today, and lo and behold, sister sara’s book made it to the bookshelves….LOL !

EDP4BHO, I will tell you that PBO has more supporters than enemies. What you see in the media/blogosphere etc is a very skewed ugly side of America and not what America represents. I would wager that the vast majority of people at that bar are in fact PBO supporters, and it’s not just because of their drinking because everywhere PBO goes, he gets pretty much the same reaction from crowds that are not drinking – REGARDLESS of race, color or creed.

The few people that the MSM elevates to speak on behalf of all Blacks, gays, Hispanics, left, straight, etc, do not represent the groups that they purport to belong to. How many of the Black folks in Atlanta yesterday do you think are regular followers of Cornel West and Tavis Smiley? Yet, if we only listened to the media, you would be led to think that West and Smiley’s attitude towards PBO are characteristic of all Blacks. And I seriously doubt that Dan Choi represents the LGBT community where PBO is concerned. Anyone from those groups who has a problem with PBO already had problems with PBO and nothing will change it.

And my question about Ron Paul’s standing in the GOP primary really highlights the fact that Ron Paul supporters are an illusory group. Probably the same set of RW trolls being paid to post all over the same nasty things everywhere.

Hopefruit, It’s really a joy to read your sober comments that are deeply rooted in realism! There is no doubt that the media is more interested in drama. Consequently, they give more coverage to all the loud mouths who hate and oppose President Obama. But just because the media are preoccupied with sensationalism and drama does not mean that the vast majority of Americans share the media’s preoccupation. Time and time again, people who show up to participate in the events with the President debunk the false media meme that President Obama is loosing the enthusiasm of his supporters.

Let’s also call a spade a spade: No matter how much the media, and the so called leftists haters of President Obama, try to inflate Ron Paul’s support, Ron Paul has ZERO chance of being elected President of the United States. We know for certain, based on the results so far, that he will never be the presidential nominee of the Republican party. I am also 100% certain that Ron Paul, should he decide to run as a libertarian–as some people want him to do– will still never be elected President. The only purpose this preoccupation with Ron Paul serves is to try to distract people from the despicable policies being advanced by GOP candidates. By the way, it just so happens that Ron Paul shares at least 90% of the policies being advocated by his fellow GOP candidates.

I didn’t see that so I don’t know what you mean. But we are a strong military family. Hubby spent 20 years in the Navy, all my brothers served, my youngest brother did his 20 in the Marines. We have two active duty Marines right now & one who just joined the Navy. We have never seen a President who was so supportive of our military, not just when sending them off to war but when they returned home. The support going out to the families from FLOTUS & Dr. Biden is very well appreciated. MOMA recently did a cover story article on their work.

Active duty Military are not permitted to appear at political events, certainly not in uniform. Vets may do as they please. I don’t know who these people are that you are talking about but by & large the military respects and even loves PBO. He has treated them with empathy & respect for their professionalism & their sacrifice when so many in the past treated them like so disposable machines. Don’t think our service people don’t get that.

thanks for your concise and correct response! Of course you are moe informed about it than me but I share your observation about the serving men and women’s appreciation of what President Obama, Mrs Obama, The Bidens and all of the administration have done to support the military – unbiased service people and their families know the truth

        • March 18, 2012 at 6:28 pm

Yes, thank you aquagranny911 for your comments. I totally concur with you. I have very personal relationships with so many beautiful military families, and their feelings about POB, VPBiden, FLOTUS, and Dr. Biden are wonderful.

I believe in my heart from my observations about POB that his heart is in the right place concerning our military men and women, and as long as he is their CIC, he will certainly make sure that they receive all of the respect that they so deserve.

I am putting my trust and respect in that. And all the grateful thanks to all of our military men and women and their families. We will focus on helping and supporting POB and VPBiden on accomplishing their goal surrounding this war, and bringing our men and women home safely and responsibily. That is my prayer.

We will focus on the positive energy because our President and certainly our military men and women deserve that from us. Remember “No Drama From Obama.” He still keeps that motto to us. So we will stay out of the “drama classes.” We are moving on to the “Respectful, and Responsible Action Classes.” Our nation deserves that, and our President deserves that. PRESSON as Bobfr reminds us.HZ

This video from Atlanta yesterday cracked me up – I think my filming would be as, eh, steady in the same situation:

Description: Our President was rollin past Greenbriar Mall and we (me, Autumn and Cameron) were there to capture it all. I was extreamly excited so there was a lot of shaking, street recordings, and screaming. President Obama was in the second car. We waited for 2.5 hrs.

        • March 18, 2012 at 6:34 pm

This is why we keep working like we do for POB. Those young ones are the reason we keep moving to re-elect POB in 2012. That is our future of young ones to get in the spaces many of us we leave for them to occupy with hope, love, compassion, intellect, vision, hardwork, giving back, and reaching their highest levels of being the best citizens that they can be in this great nation. God bless this moment upon their futures.HZ

BAGHDAD, March 17 (Reuters) – A militia loyal to Iraqi Shi’ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr freed an American former soldier on Saturday after holding him captive in Baghdad for nine months.

The American, identified as Randy Michaels, was shown on television in a U.S. military uniform with no insignia, flanked by two members of parliament from Sadr’s movement, including the parliament’s first deputy speaker.

He was handed over to the United Nations mission in Baghdad, which said it was in touch with the U.S. embassy.

The Sadrist lawmakers described him as an American soldier, but Michaels said he was a former service member working in a civilian capacity at the time he was captured, last June.

Republican Sen. Bob Corker (Tenn.) on Saturday thanked President Obama for quickly approving millions of dollars in federal disaster aid to 10 Tennessee counties, just one day after he and other Tennessee Republicans asked for it.

“I thank Governor [Bill] Haslam (R ) for seeking aid for those recovering from the severe storms, and I appreciate the administration’s quick approval of the governor’s requrest that was supported by our congressional delegation,” Corker said. “As communities continue to repair and rebuild, I hope this assistance will help Tennesseans in need.”

There is no good reason for that kind of delay except that the GOP establishment is probably planning to fix the votes based on how well (or not) Romney does in the coming races in Puerto Rico and Illinois.
