President Obama shakes hands with a supporter as he exits with take-out from Texas Ribs and BBQ in Clinton, MD, where he stopped with US Senator Ben Cardin
No…I won’t be there tonight. I have been really sick with a sinus infection and just now getting better. I am so behind at work and at home because I was sick. Now that I am better I have a lot of catching up to do. Hopefully, Chips will be able to get a hold of it later so that I can view it.
War On Women: Chuck Schumer Says Violence Against Women Act Will Get Senate Vote
Senate Democrats are set to try renewing the Violence Against Women Act as early as next week, opening a new and more literal front in what they see as a Republican war on women, The Huffington Post has learned.
The Violence Against Women Act passed overwhelmingly in 1994, and was renewed easily in 2000 and 2005. But it suddenly became a partisan issue last month, when every Republican on the Judiciary Committee opposed it, and it passed in a 10 to 8 vote.
Republicans objected to new language in the bill that would extend protections to undocumented immigrants and LGBT victims of domestic violence, as well as allowing native American authorities to prosecute some non-native offenders.
I remember when they first got Bo, in a Barbara Walters interview PBO seemed to indicate that Bo was really Michelle’s dog. But now, after we see so much genuine affection between the president and Bo, it looks like they have bonded so beautifully.
Do they want some more or are they ready to do what they’re supposed to? Saber rattling by Netanyahu is not necessary. Let the President continue putting the squeeze on them.
I heard on NPR this morning that people are smuggling suitcases full of money out of Iran and depositing it into foreign banks. And China is also a problem, because they’re supposedly setting up foreign accounts for the purpose of this smuggling. The trick will be trying to get China to stop doing banking business with the Iranians – that would make a bigger difference.
So sorry I missed President Obama’s trip to Clinton, MD. I drive by that restaurant everyday and live in Waldorf. Oh well. Next time. Hopefully, he’ll be in for the next 4 years and I’ll have loads of chances to meet him.
Good afternoon all
Winner! Hiya Symmetry.
Ahh…Thank you! I don’t have any pets, but if I ever decide to get one, I want a dog like Bo.
ok…see that credenza with the mirrored front ? I have something almost identical.
This is the 2nd time I spotted a piece of furniture in the WH that is familiar to me.
I have an identical Library table that I spotted in the pix from the first years Holloween party…
If that’s the Obamas private residence, it’s gorgeous!
I’m admiring it, too, UTAL. Beautiful room, whatever it is.
Hi!
Helloooooooooo TrumpDog!
Goodness gracious I love President Obama
THIRD???? Hello symmetry. Will you be at the screening tonight? I’m coming!!! YEA!

Sorry. I had decided you must be sick because I haven’t seen you on TOD. Glad you are doing better. I understand about being behind. Take care!!
Thanks, Lala!

President Barack Obama bends down to pet his dog, Bo, outside the Oval Office of the White House in Washington March 15, 2012.
Sweet!
Cool pic.

Bo was suppose to be the girls dog, but FLOTUS said in a interview that he was hers and Barack
wow, look at those legs. 🙂
Bo’s legs are pretty nice too! :-).
Hmmm Hmmm. I see what you mean. And btw …. lucky Bo!
Iran’s banks to be blocked from global banking system
Swift, the body that handles global banking transactions, says it will cut Iran’s banks out of the system on Saturday to enforce sanctions.
The move will isolate Iran financially by making it almost impossible for money to flow in and out of the country via official banking channels.

It will hit its oil industry, but may also have a heavy impact on Iranians who live abroad and send money home.
Do they want some more or are they ready to do what they’re supposed to? Saber rattling by Netanyahu is not necessary. Let the President continue putting the squeeze on them.

Good Morning Al!:-D 😀 😀
Love these photos of BO and the President!
ps Loving the crowds giving our President so much love! Romney could never ever hope to get a crowd as supportive or as big! What a pathetic loser!
Man oh man that was a packed event! The enthusiasm practically leaps from the screen!
Hii everyone, I’m still updating this thread, but PBO and Bo deserved one of their own:

“Pure Energy” is the perfect description. They could probably power a rocketship with all the love in that room.
Great title, chips.
I love his hands
I love it. He was literally down the street from my house. Awesome
Thanks for adding the video of the stop in Clinton. I love the ones where he stops for food and the everyday folks get to meet him.
