LA Times: Mary Brown, whose case against the 2010 healthcare reform law is pending before the Supreme Court, argues that the government shouldn’t be able to force her to carry health insurance. Joined by three other individuals and a small-business trade association, she’s asking the justices to rule that the law’s insurance mandate is unconstitutional and that the rest of the act should be thrown out with it. But new revelations about her own situation make the case for the other side.
….. Brown and her husband have fallen on hard times since filing the lawsuit, largely because their auto repair business in Florida failed. The couple have filed for bankruptcy protection, asking a federal court to wipe out close to $60,000 in consumer debts. Significantly, their unpaid bills include $2,750 owed to a local hospital and physicians group and $1,735 to out-of-state medical specialists.
The disclosures are political gold for the Obama administration, transforming Brown from a champion of individual liberty into an exemplar of a problem the new law was designed to address.

TPM: What if “Obamacare” not only helped save Medicare from fiscal doom, but also quashed the GOP’s longstanding goal of privatizing the program? It’s too early to know what will ultimately happen, but new evidence suggests that nightmare scenario for conservatives is within the realm of possibility.
In a development with potentially profound implications – both for Medicare itself and for the broader ideological fight between the two parties over the role of government – researchers writing in the New England Journal of Medicine believe that the growth in per patient Medicare costs has slowed, contra earlier projections that spending would soar at an unsustainable rate. More importantly, the researchers believe this trend will hold over time, thanks largely to the Affordable Care Act’s sweeping cost-control policies.

Charles Pierce: ….. We can help by pointing out relentlessly the one thing that every one of the graphs, and every one of the monthly jobs reports, have had in common: namely, that the president was handed a multimegaton dungbomb of an economy when he took over.
No, nobody’s happy with 8-percent unemployment as the new normal … Still, every month, there’s another one of these (graphs), and the one abiding characteristic they all have is that they show vividly that the recession was a helluva lot deeper than anyone thought, or that anyone was led to believe. I’m not entirely sure that “He Helped Stave Off A Great Depression” isn’t a bad plank to run on.

Morning everyone 😉
Good Morning All.
Morning JER, morning everyone 😉
Can I just check, is anyone having problems with email alerts for new posts? Someone emailed me last night to say they didn’t get email alerts yesterday, which they usually do. Anyone else?? Thanks.
I am receiving all the alerts, thank you for all you do.
That’s great Bill, thank you, it might just be that one person who was having email problems. Thanks again 😉
What a fine picture…That’s all I will say for now on this issue. 🙂
You’re very restrained this morning Hopefruit! 😆
Indeed, indeed. LOL!
That is a sweet picture, Chips.
Yay, JER. Chios, no email notifications for me since early Saturday. Hugs to you, dear! 😉
Yikes, really Pamela? Okay, I’ve got to check this out. Thanks P.
Hold on, Chips, I think it might have been that there were only a couple new threads, and it only seemed as if they were not coming in…
Checked in the time stamps, they are consistent with your posts, maybe not to waste your time on an illusion? My apologies… Xo
Ah, thanks Pamela. I checked the WordPress support forum and no one else seems to be having email problems, so that might just be it, the person who contacted me probably just expected more posts yesterday. Thanks again.
LOVING THAT PHOTOOOOOOOO…..TO SMITHEREEEEEEENSSSS 😀
It’s a keeper, Prettyfoot!
Very sweet photo, yes! It’s actually the one I have had framed and displayed among my family portraits for years now – the one that makes visitors ask ‘Why do you have a framed picture of the Obamas in your home?’ **chuckle chuckle **
I didn’t get this morning’s email alert.
Thanks taiping1, I’ll check it out.
By the way Chips, I know you have explained that weekends are your busy time to bring home the bacon and I totally accept that. Only want to let you know, for the record, that I missed your smile. [I’m looking forward to seeing that heart warming smile when, God willing, we meet at the 2013 Inauguration.] 😉 😉
I’ve always loved this pic. LOL @ “20 Hot New Farmers Looking for Love.” Must be the big thing in Australia.
Hahahaha….”Must be the big thing in Australia.” 😆 😆 😆
I’m getting the emails, but the box up top beside my name does not indicate when people respond to my comments anymore. It was working last week, but not the past 2 days.
yes, I have the same problem on information on who responds to my posts.
LOVE THE PICTURE OF POTUS AND FLOTUS.
Yes, just like that, stretching in the sun, available to all. good morning everybody.
The media is force feeding us Robney, they ate all about his policies.
This President may have to up his presence in the public eye, to not one per week, but maybe 2 or 3 events per week.
As such, he will be able to hit back at Robney. Because, their Is no counterpunch to his crap and speeches, after he wins a State.
The media is useless!
Good Mornng,.
Thought I’d bring this over from the last thread:
Listen up:
These are the constituencies that ABC/WaPo used to scream the headline about PBO’s poll numbers:
“The downshift is particularly notable among independents — 57 percent of whom now disapprove — and among white people without college degrees, with disapproval among this group now topping approval by a ratio of more than 2 to 1, at 66 versus 28 percent”
Scary, right? but wait!
At the end of the article, there is this:
“Obama’s team may take comfort, however, that, notwithstanding the tightness of the general-election race today, a majority of Americans now say they believe he will win reelection in November.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/gas-prices-sink-obamas-ratings-on-economy-bring-parity-to-race-for-white-house/2012/03/11/gIQAuhYO6R_story.html
For what its worth, the last I checked the InTrade odds for PBO are 60.6.
I doubt these numbers are real. Every poll lately has had PBO much higher.. WaPo is in the pocket of the GOP.
I have never trusted the MSM and the polls they are not telling us the truth and who are they polling?
Good morning TOD and congrats on first JER!
Morning 🙂 I love this photo. I can feel him stretch, and smell the clean air! Good stuff, Monday!
Oil futures are 1.50 lower at 1.05 this morning!
It has held around here for 2 weeks, after the initial surge. But, according to the press, it keeps rising and rising, meh!
Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Chairman Gregory Jaczko hopes to speed up safety reforms planned after the disaster at Japan’s Fukushima Daiichi plant after acknowledging recently that the five-year schedule had slipped.
“That’s something that we really need to focus on and figure out if there aren’t ways we can accelerate that work and really get it all done within five years,” Jaczko said in an interview broadcast Sunday, the one-year anniversary of the massive earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan.

Labor Leaders Plan to Apply New Clout in Effort for Obama
As the A.F.L.-C.I.O. prepares to endorse President Obama on Tuesday, labor leaders say they will mount their biggest campaign effort, with far more union members than ever before — at least 400,000, they say — knocking on voters’ doors to counter the well-endowed “super PACs” backing Republicans.
The same Supreme Court ruling in 2010 that set the stage for these political action committees to accept unlimited donations also allowed unions to send their foot soldiers to visit not just union members at home, but also voters who do not belong to unions — a move expected to increase labor’s political clout significantly in this year’s elections………..
The Service Employees International Union, with two million members, aims to mobilize 100,000 of its members this year — twice as many as in 2008 — to make phone calls and knock on doors.
The service employees will focus in part on voter registration and turnout in Hispanic neighborhoods (especially in Colorado, Florida and Nevada) and African-American neighborhoods (particularly in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.)
The A.F.L.-C.I.O. has created its own super PAC, Workers’ Voices, which plans to spend the $3.7 million it has collected largely to finance labor’s efforts to reach out to nonunion voters.
“The concept was never to be a force on TV and try to match what Karl Rove and the Koch brothers can do, because that’s a fool’s errand,” said the A.F.L.-C.I.O.’s Mr. Podhorzer, referring to the billionaire industrialists and supporters of conservative causes. “We firmly believe that person-to-person contact moves the percentages our way.”

CAUSE THE UNION MAKES US STRONGGGG!!!!!!
PRESSSSSSSSSSSSSS ONNNNNNNNN!
WE WILL NOT GO BACK!!!!
I love the second paragraph. The Supreme Court did not know they were opening a Pandora’s box when they allowed PAcs to accept unlimitd donations that they were opening the doors for unions sto organize more. Foot soldiers will generate more votes than money. Money can’t walk or talk!
The Senate meets at 2 p.m. for speeches, and by 4 p.m. it will resume consideration of S. 1813, the two-year highway reauthorization bill.
But the Senate has no votes planned for Monday — votes on the 22 remaining amendments to the bill will start Tuesday.
The House is out all week and returns next Monday.
—
The House is taking another week off???
The House members have golf and overseas trips to make before their terms end. Florida and Latin America are nice this time of year.
Bill you are not sarcastic at all. 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
They are on “fact finding” mission in the South Pacific…..( with their wives and children of course )

Why is it that no media question their work schedule? Does the Constitution actually give them unlimited vacation days. They rarely work and yet seem to have the best vacation, excellent salary in relation to hours of actual work, and excellent pension rewards. No wonder many can’t understand the struggles average worker.
Yet when President Obama takes a few hours on Sunday to play golf, you have Mark Knoller with his usual nasty tweets and the rest of the media following suit.
President Barack Obama’s campaign strategist, Robert Gibbs, slammed former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney Sunday for losing the Kansas caucuses to former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum and offered him some advice on how to act in the South.
Mr. Santorum won the Kansas caucuses Saturday, defeating Mr. Romney by approximately 30 percentage points with more than 50 percent of the votes. Mr. Romney finished in second place with 20.9 percent of the votes. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich edged out Texas Congressman Ron Paul for third place with 14.4 percent of the votes.
“I think yesterday was instructive,” Mr. Gibbs said on CBS News’ “Face the Nation” with Bob Schieffer. “I think it shows you’ve got some, some real problems on the road to this nomination,” he added.

Interesting at the Maddow Blog link… In the comments someone has information on the group ALEC and there is a list of those in Congress that are connected to that group. There are two Democrats listed.
Guess who one of them is ? Why….none other than the Senator from West Virginia……Joe Manchin….!!!!!!
A very informative comment – also lists board members who are senior executives in many companies and firms. Time for boycott of some products, I think.
http://motherjones.com/kevin-drum/2012/03/barack-obamas-had-pretty-damn-good-presidency
Was there a more effective way to deal with an unprecedentedly obstructive Republican Party? On reflection, I doubt it. During Obama’s first two years, Democrats had a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate for only 14 weeks. This means that Obama needed two or three Republican votes for every bill, and if he had taken the blustering, partisan attitude that a lot of liberals wanted, he never would had gotten them. Republican obstructionism would have been even more hardened than it was with his more conciliatory attitude. So as annoying as Obama’s “most reasonable man in the room” act was to the progressive base, it was probably his best strategy.
snip/
I’m not ready to start chiseling Obama’s mug on Mount Rushmore. But unless national security is pretty much your sole obsession, I really have a hard time understanding progressives who are disappointed in him. Obama has gotten more done for the progressive cause than Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, JFK, or Harry Truman — and, on balance, nearly as much as LBJ, since he doesn’t have any epic disasters to weigh down his successes. For an actual, existing human being, that’s pretty damn good.
This is a good one, df.

Thank you LadyHawk! 🙂
With gas prices sky high, President Obama will be spending part of his Monday making the case that his administration has made huge strides at reducing the United States’ reliance on foreign oil, while advancing clean energy technology.
The president will sit down at the White House for interviews with news anchors from eight television markets to tout a new interagency report released this morning that highlights progress in U.S. energy policy under his watch.
The report, which comes nearly a year after Obama’s major address on energy security at Georgetown University, notes that the U.S. has cut oil imports by a million barrels a day, domestic oil production has reached its highest level in nearly a decade while natural gas production reached an all-time high in 2011, and renewable energy generation–such as solar and wind power– has doubled since 2008.
At Georgetown last year, Obama outlined plans to reduce oil imports by a 33% over 10 years.

The killing in Afghanistan is sad but if they want us to up and leave because of it thats fine by me. We’ll also be taking our billions in aid along with us. Are the pleading us to leave a presence their after 2014.
The only articles I have seen are it complicates the timetable!
Meaning, we should stay forever???
GOP got their message off of contraception, check!
Jessica, no where does it say that Afghanistan wants us to up and leave. In fact, the most recent poll from the Afghans showed that more than 70% of them wanted the military forces to remain in Afghanistan and agreed with the President’s timeline for complete withdrawal by 2014. This latest nonsense about getting out of Afghanistan is an American-MSM narrative supported by manufactured polling and Republican desires for a new anti-Obama talking point. Don’t fall for it.
But but but Dennis Kucinich…
That’s right Jovie. There you go. And that’s why his arse got beaten last week. Good riddance.
DCCC creates “Republican House of Scandel” site….
http://dccc.org/index.php/corrupt
I am not feeling it for this tactic…..
So blame POTUS for gas prices, but ignore the tragedy in Afghanistan. The media knows that the Afghan story is not good for the GOP candidates who all want to stay the course in Afghanistan. So gas prices are a winner against POTUS, but hell no lease Afghanistan alone.
lamh the media is not ignoring the tragedy in Afghanistan. In fact they are focused on it – not as a tragedy but as an incident that could “affect President Obama’s chances for re-election in November 2012.” according to the WaPo latest report. They even have brand new polls out with more than 60% of Americans wanting us to up and leave Afghanistan ASAP, against the President’s timeline for troop withdrawal. Newt Gingrich already came out with a BS statement that the Afghanistan war should be ended now. Meanwhile Romney remains silent on the issue, and the MSM continues to give him a pass.
Game Change and the Last Temptation of Sarah Palin
By Charles Pierce
————————————–
What’s truly distressing about the production is that, for all its excellence as a film, it really is all about a game. It is a movie about tactics and strategy, not about governing a country, no matter how much Harris’s McCain blathers on about it. We had Sarah Palin as a candidate for vice-president because a lot of smart guys, like Steve Schmidt, thought it was a smooth move that would blunt the momentum Obama had built up. Recount was about tactics, too, but you always got the sense that the people involved in the events of that movie knew the monumental stakes for which they were playing. Game Change is about winning the day, the week, the news cycle. It’s about settling scores and about a singular lack of trust in almost everything about the political process, including the people you ostensibly want to serve. That is how you end up with a Sarah Palin. That is how she never really goes away.

That’s what I take away from viewing the show last night that was posted here. It was all about winning at first then when they saw what a mess SP was they continued to push her and try to make the ticket win. I could almost sense a relief from the character’s portrayals that the ticket did not win. Still, I believe it will not be the case for any future GOP ticket…it will all be about winning by duping the public.
Where was it posted? I really would like to see it for myself. I don’t have HBO.
Here: http://blip.tv/justme2/episode-6016380
It was posted in the previous thread entitled “evening all”
Arizona Smiles:) BIG!
Birther and immigrant hater Joe Arpaio of Arizona is facing two challengers in his November re-election bid for Sheriff of Maricopa County. Arpaio will be challenged by both a Democrat and Independent.
He is frighteningly popular in AZ and will win reelection. My ugly, miserable bigoted brother-in-law who lives in Phoenix thinks the guy is an effing hero.
This new poll makes no sense at all an is very depressing to me.
The MSM have to get their drama on and get everyone depressed and mopey. They’re scared about all the good economic news taking the wind out of the GOP sails. They’re freaked out about PBO’s documentary coming out this week. They’ve got nothing but the cyclical gas prices drama, so they’re banging that drum as loudly as they can.
BWD, the poll doesn’t make sense to many of us – because it is garbage.
So far this year, our President has had three good months which culminated last week Friday with a positive jobs report. Meanwhile, the GOP has been nothing but fail. Mitt Romney is still STRUGGLING against two losers like Mankini and icky Rick. Rush Limbaugh is being kicked off his throne and women are leaving the GOP in herds and droves. So, quite predictably, the MSM takes its orders from Rove and manufactures some nonsense by polling a skewed sample and asking leading questions. Then they are exploiting the Afghan tragedy to suggest “bad news for Obama” in November while completely ignoring Mitt Romney’s hawkish position.
We’ve been down this road before and the majority of the American people have enough sense. If it were just for the media, Sarah Palin would be President right now because John McCain would have gotten elected and he would have suffered a heart attack from all the stress of governing in the past three years.
It looks like most of the frustration with PBO over the economy in that poll is based on gas prices, every other poll recently has shown his figures in that area improving – hugely.
Even Politico finished their report on the poll with this: “…. Still, there’s not much that the Obama can do about gas prices in the near term, aside from opening up the nation’s strategic petroleum reserve. But the good news for Obama is that the rise in prices tends to be seasonal and may well be a non-issue by the fall.”
Hang in there.
This happens EVERY Year! during the lead in to the summer months, gas ALWAYS goes up…it’s travel season, after all. Got to get more $$$ out of the consumers to pad their already huge profits! PBO should use this to his advantage…regarding oil subsidies, and the reason for NOT paying them!
Add in the lies about Keystone, and Republican desperation for traction on ANYTHING…and here we are. I did read that the American public is beginning to understand that PBO is NOT responsible for these high gas prices….let me see if I can find that 🙂
Here’s this…FROM THE CATO INSTITUTE! RW think tank that they are….

DF….Thissssssss
Another reason for Congress to end subsidies to the OIL industry…..this should be a no brainer….
Pressssssssss ONN………
And if the prices do go down, even though it may be a normal seasonally adjusted drop, guess who will get the credit? Hint, it won’t be the Republicans. Remember in 2008 when both Clinton (during the primaries) ad McCain talked about a gas tax holiday? Then Sentor Obama spoke out against that, even though it may have sounded like a nice thing to do. It might have been politically expedient, but he wasn’t going to do something just for political expediency, and still won’t.
I saw a tweet that said ABC/WaPo changed it’s party id in the poll to favor republicans. Included more Rs than Ds. That’s the only way any national poll could have romney suddenly leading pbo. It’s a manipulated lie.
Correct.
This is why any poll must be suspected until you’ve examined the internals that tell you who was sampled and when. You can distort ANY results if you skew the IDs and ages. And, once again, polls taken on weekends are always more conservative because young people tend to be out and about all weekend and can more easily reached during the week. This has ALWAYS been the case. And the biggest factor of all is how the question was asked. You can prove anything you want to prove if you’re willing to distort the question.
There will be a great deal of fluctuation in polls right up until voting day. Some will have President Obama ahead, some behind. Media covers drama, indeed often creates drama. It’s about numbers and sales.
Whatever is currently in the news will affect polls. It’s going to be a bumpy ride. And it’s disconcerting that about 45% will oppose the president no matter what….
Exactly. I posted earlier that the only poll that I am concerned with is the final poll on election day. In 2008 the line was two blocks long and we waited two hours. This year, the young people that qualified to vote will be out. And in my area we vote Democratic. MSM can spin the polls any which way they want, all we have to do is go out and vote. Get our IDs and get in line early.
This is why we have to work extra hard to make sure nobody is disenfranchised with the new voter suppression laws. I made a number of calls today and I think there are at least two, possibly three, major entities in the state of Pa that will file a suit against the voter ID law. In Wisconsin a judge is considering a permanent injunction on that state’s version of the law. You will hear a shout from me all the way in LA if we manage to get an injunction on this law in PA in time for November.
it’s Monday! Needed another weekend day but here’s hoping for a solid week! Good morning all!
Really???

This is sick. Mecca is a sacred place to Muslims and those who practice Islam turn their face there every day to pray to Allah. If Ricky is equating Rush to God, he really is without sense or moral compass, no matter how much self-righteous preaching he does to the rest of us.
Michael Steele: “I Wanted a Brokered Convention”
By David Corn
—————————————
It all started with Obama envy.
Heading into the 2008 convention, Republican leaders, including Steele, a former lieutenant governor of Maryland who was not yet the party’s chairman, saw that the Democratic base was energized, following the exciting, dramatic, and protracted nomination showdown between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. That titanic clash had created a sense of momentum for Obama. Steele and other Republicans were jealous.

The Problem is the Candidates themselves…..and the vision for the country that they promote….
What vision?
Yep, PF, we had the silk purses; they have the sow’s ears. And you just know they’re not turning themselves into silk anytime soon.
Ohhhh myyyy…hahaha
Steele is still jealous. I wish Rev. Al would not have him on but I guess he has no choice. So I mute him as soon as he opens his mouth. He is an Uncle Tom. There I said it. A Steppin’ Fetch it, one of those good black “boy” that massah loves. Folks like him got the leftovers from massa’s plate for bringing news about the about the other slaves. Disgusting.
What hath Rush wrought?

It’s brought the industry to an unexpected point: Limbaugh has become so toxic, major advertisers want to avoid him and other shock jocks who might be as offensive as he is. As John Avlon noted over the weekend, “Rush Limbaugh made the right-wing talk-radio industry, and he just might break it.”

Good Morning, Everyone 🙂
Plurality Of Republican Voters In Mississippi And Alabama Think Obama Is Muslim |
As the Republican presidential candidates turn their sights on Mississippi and Alabama, where the next two contests are held, a new PPP poll finds that a plurality of Republicans in both states think President Obama is a Muslim.
More than half of GOP voters in Mississippi said they held the incorrect view, while 45 percent of Alabama Republicans hold the view. Just 12 and 14 percent, respectively, correctly identified Obama as Christian.
Meanwhile, the same poll found that two-thirds of Alabama Republicans believe interracial marriage should be legal, compared with 54 percent of Mississippi Republicans. (HT: Jonathan Chait)

Here is video proof
Holy cow! Haley Barbour must be proud of his state.
It’s interesting that there is currently a GOP primary in Alabama and Mississippi, yet all we are hearing about is how Republican Alabamians and Mississippians think about PBO being a Muslim. What do they think about Mormonism and Mitt Romney’s religion? Aren’t they supposed to be currently making a decision as to which of the four GOP candidates would best represent them in November 2012 – why is the media so focused on their opinion of President Obama. WE KNOW HOW THEY FEEL ALREADY.
The last time I checked, PBO was not campaigning in Alabama and Mississippi. These are NOT swing states. They are solidly red states. These media-driven polls are intended to dredge up racist anti-Obama sentiment across the entire country under the guise of polling and nothing more.
Smartypants has an excellent read on this:
http://immasmartypants.blogspot.com/2012/03/their-lack-of-newness.html
This is such a sad, sad commentary on the state of education in these two states and the level to which people there will go to shut out the truth. Of course, Muslim means he’s not like us, i.e., he’s black. Racism is a deadly disease that clings deep in the bones in some people.
I bet you they know he’s not Muslim, but they think it insults him for them to call him a Muslim. I wonder how all the Muslim Americans, including those who have fought for this country or were simply born here or fought to become citizens here, feel about their religion being used as an insult against the President of the United States? I understand that a lot of people are afraid of the extreme elements of the Muslim religion, but they are no less/no more terrifying to me than members of the KKK. In fact, there are members of the tea party who would destroy this country simply to remove President Obama from office – they scare me more than anyone, because they are taken seriously and have a level of legitimacy in this country that doesn’t make sense.
Republicans Hide The Fact That Keystone XL Will Raise The Price Of Gas For Americans
By Rmuse
——————————–
John Boehner and Republicans pushing the pipeline must admit they are lying and cheating to enrich big oil and for personal financial gain. Boehner’s claim that the President is sending North American oil to China is the Keystone XL pipeline’s purpose and Boehner knows it.
.
.
It is not just Boehner who must be held accountable for lying to the American people. Senate Republicans who voted to mandate the pipeline’s construction knew the refined oil is destined for China and when Democrats attempted to pass an amendment that prohibited sending the refined tar sand oil out of the country, Republicans successfully blocked the measure. Republicans are not concerned about high gas prices or a comprehensive energy policy, but with enriching their oil industry donors at the expense of the environment and higher fuel costs for American consumers.

WOW…DO I HAVE A STORY TO TELL…THE SAME HAPPENED TO ME IN 2008 AND I NEED ADVICE AND PRAYERS…MY HUSBAND BLEW UP BECAUSE I AM GOING TO TRY TO REGISTER VOTERS AGAIN. HE CALLED PBO ‘A NIGGER’ AND AS USUAL THREATENED ME WITH DIVORCE. AS SICK AS I AM I WENT BACK TO MY ROOM REALIZING THIS WILL BE ANOTHER TIME OF TORMENT AND CHALLENGE. WHAT IS THIS KIND OF REACTION? I DON’T UNDERSTAND. I NEVER SEE HIM ANYWAY…WE LIVE IN 2 DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE HOUSE. SO I NEED PRAYERS BECAUSE I AM GOING TO DO WHAT I NEED TO DO FOR PBO!..PERIOD!
Sue, I’m so sorry to hear about so much strife in your home. I wish there was something you could do to feel better, stronger. I hope you take good care of yourself.
Yikes! I’m at a loss for words. Do you really want to be married to someone that thinks that way? Must be very difficult for you…so sorry to hear this ,Sue.
DEAR ONES..I AM TOO OLD AND TOO SICK TO MAKE ANY PHYSICAL CHANGES IN MY LIFE NOW…YOUR PRAYERS AND ENCOURAGEMENT ARE A GREAT HELP TO ME! GOD BLESS YOU ALL. AND YES..THIS GIRL…REGARDLESS…IS GOING TO GO OUT AND STOMP FOR PBO! I DID IT BEFORE…I CAN DO IT AGAIN!
Hugs, Sue 🙂 We do what we have to do….sounds like you’re ready to get out there and kick ass. Prayers and good vibes to properly kick ass 🙂
You are so inspiring Sue!! your courage motivates….Thanks for sharing. If you haven’t met President Obama I pray you do.
Sue…. I have been sitting here trying to think of something positive to say to you in what seems like a horrible situation. All I can can say is…. KEEP THE FAITH……it will get you through this.
THANK YOU LINDA…THIS MADE MY MONDAY! BLESS YOU!
Dear Lord, Sue! I am praying for you immediately. How many white couples (women/men) have this problem?
I know that, in the south, white people who support Obama do so furtively. It is really sad. I ‘LL pray for your husband too.
He needs it more, it seems.
Sue
No weapon formed against you shall prosper.
Praying for You and your husband.
Don’t be afraid to talk to him and convince him you are helping your own house hold but
you are also helping this country that will affect your house hold in the future.
Make him apart of the process.
He might fell left out. Plus let him know if he calls himself a Christian. The Lord God does not tolerate racism.
racist and bigots don’t inherit the kingdom of Heaven.
Show him
Galatians Ch 5:1-26
Luke Ch 11: 37-54
THANK YOU PROF…I HAVE DONE ALL OF THE ABOVE IN THE PAST…HE DOES NOT GO TO CHURCH WITH ME…I HAVE LEFT THAT TO THE LORD…BLESS YOU!
JUST PRAYING FOR THIS SITUATION IS THE BEST HELP I CAN RECEIVE…THANK YOU AND BLESS ALL OF YOU!…:)
(((Huggs)))
Oh, Sue. Love, Light and Blessing enveloping your god and gracious Soul. You must answer for the Soul level work you are choosing to do here on Earth. So mst your husband, so must we all. Each and every one.
*good. But if my typo God had a capital G, it would have been okay!
Oh my. ((((((((((Sue))))))))))
Sending prayers and vibes of love your way.
Sue, I am so sorry. Most of the people here know that my husband is a Republican and not an Obama supporter, but my situation is not even remotely close to yours. My husband uses the standard fall back line of “I don’t support his policies.” And, the last time we had any conversation about this, he also said, “He is not a leader.” That was in August–after getting OBL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Crazy, huh? He had been talking about how he had Congress (for that short period of time, I would add) and still couldn’t get “anything done.” I know, makes no sense. He was ignoring all the filibusters and the Dems that didn’t support him. Hubby just wanted to see the negative and put EVERYTHING on PO. That discussion took place in late August and we haven’t discussed it since.
When he is home (and not gone hiking the AT), we listen to the news in silence. I do know that it has been a long time since he watches or listens to FOX, either here at home or in his car so I take that as a good sign. Have to look for anything that gives me encouragement. I pray EVERY day that God will sweep across this country, beginning with my husband, and open hearts and minds and that He will replace the hate and fear people have with acceptance and tolerance. I know that God CAN do the impossible so I keep praying that same prayer.
Bless you, Sue and stay strong.
BLESS YOU BACK AND THANK YOU TNMTNGIRL FOR YOUR ENCOURAGING WORDS. I PRAY THE GOOD LORD WILL ERASE THE HATRED IN THIS COUNTRY!
Oh, honey, that’s just awful. I hope you get some strength from the prayers and positive energy I’m sending your way.
My goodness Sue, from the energy filled and inspirational and fun filled messages of yours I’ve SO been enjoying, one could never tell you could be going thru something like this under you own roof. It pains me to hear it. I obviously don’t have any words to make it better, just know that you are ONE of the main reasons I came out of lurker status on the TOD. Sometimes I just felt compelled to tell you how you boosted my spirit and encouraged me to keep going on any certain day, just by a simple comment you made that made me laugh or cry or both or inspired me to go out there and do something positive.
Keep walking, keep marching, Sue, stay strong! I’m lighting a candle for you today, and you will be in my prayers from now on.
Oh sue, so sorry to hear about this. You shouldn’t have to live like this. You are better off by yourself. I wish you lived near me but I know you don’t. Is there positively no way for you to move on with your life? This is spousal abuse, a form of domestic violence. He is violating you by words and those hurt deeper than wounds. I know, been there, done that. Now I’m happey. Raised two children by myself and happily enjoying my retiremnt years. You are not wel and shpi;ldn’t have stess in your life so I will be praying for y ou that you can find peace.
Sue, I wish I could give you a hug for comfort and to show how much I admire your courage. You’re in a tough situation, but I honestly think it would be worse for you if your husband’s bigotry were allowed to control you. You’re an intelligent woman who can make her own decisions and the time has long since past when you or any other woman has to ask permission to do what’s right. Step out proudly and do your job for PBO. And if that means living on one side your your house, under the circumstances, that seems a small price to pay.
Sue, I just came in from my first set of medical test for this week. I felt weak, so I got something to eat and came upstairs and changed into something more relaxing. Of course, I had to grab my computer to check in with my TOD family. Then I read your comment. Oh, Sue, my heart is so full and my tears came so quickly.
I wish I could be there to just hug you and make you a lovely lunch and just be quiet in your space and let you just be what you need to be at this time. Sue, I do remember that your medical situation is very delicate, so my tears are even more of a flood now. Please , please think of your health and try not to put any more stress on your body.
Sue, you are such a beautiful spirit on this site. I’ve told you that before, and I still mean it, and I still feel it. Your love for the Lord is such a beautiful things to witness daily. So, please reach into the depths of your ‘comforting and strong well of hope and faith in His love’ and be gentle within your space for your own sake.
The strong love that you show will be the righteousness that I pray your husband will see in you, and prayerfully that will draw out the gooodness in him to see a light that is so much brighter than the one he is not able to enjoy now.
Be strong, my love and remember that you are so loved by me and your family here. I am going out to get some more candles because I lit my last ones last evening, and with your news, I have to light some just for you. From my home and space to your home and space, ((((((((((Hugs to our beautiful Sue)))))))))))) You are in my prayers and my thoughts. Please try to be strong. Okay. I am thinking about your health as well.
I understand where you are. I live it each day with my neighbors family members, and some dear friends, and it hurts, but I have nothing else but my faith in Christ, my loving thoughts of how strong my precious mother was, and my determination to do good toward All people.
I just do not have the unresponsive and separate spirit living in my space each and every day, that being my husband. So this has to be so difficult and painful. I will pray for your dear husband as well. But I can see that you are so strong, and you give me so much joy and strength to keep fighting for POB and our dear VP, Joe in doing what is right and good.
((((((((((( I love you, Sue.))))))))))))) I have to burn the candles for you today. This is so heavy on my heart. I just wish we could be near you, but you are in our hearts and spirits. I love you, Sue,.HZ
Sue, I’m so sorry to hear about your current situation at home with your husband. All i can do is offer my prayer and (((hugs))). I do admire you strength and courage and your resolve to help others.
Good morning TOD family have a great and productive day.
Sending prayers up for you Sue.
The Duggar family, of TLC reality show fame, will campaign for Rick Santorum Monday in Alabama.
The family, which has already acted as a Santorum surrogate on the trail, will hold two meet-and-greets the day before the Alabama primary, where Romney, Gingrich and Santorum are locked in a tight race.
They are disgusting, and the media has been irresponsible in propping up and fawning over this family and their baby-a-year extremist, female-subservient, religious lifestyle. Whackjobs.
Exactly.Disgusting.
I’d like to know they support those 19 kids. No one is going to tell me they’re not getting assistance from the government. Our tax dollars.
Jim Bob served in the Arkansas House of Representatives from 1999 to 2002. Currently, he is a real estate agent and investor. The Duggars’ income is derived from the rental proceeds of the commercial properties they own.[13][14] They live debt-free,[15][16] which Jim Bob has said is “the fruit of Jim Sammons’ Financial Freedom Seminar” he attended years ago (Sammons’ Seminar is endorsed by IBLP). The construction of their 7,000 square foot (650 square meter) house was started by the family in 2000 when they bought the land and ordered the frame. Discovery Networks completed it, by finding local Arkansas construction workers to donate their skills and time. The home was completed on January 20, 2006. The painting, decorating, furnishings, appliances, and other finishing touches—such as a stocked pantry—were provided by Discovery Networks and corporate sponsors as part of the one-hour television special
P.S. ( I only say this because our roofing business deals with this on a daily basis here in Georgia )
Most likely a Commercial Property Slum Lord Millionaire…….
So does Jim Bob get lifetime health care coverage on us taxpayers since he was a congressman? Or does he pay for it himself now that he’s raking in money from Discovery?
I know… As if that family is typical of anyone living in Alabama…..
See my video above
TLC to start….also NBC, the Today Show…..they are on every year for the ”big announcement” live on tv…..”we are expecting”…..
Freaks.
She’s probably pregnant with her 20th by now…..
Never heard of them. There is bliss to be found in NOT WATCHING junky tv that degrades my intellect.
You didn’t miss a thing. Her last child was premature and very sick, almost died. She went ahead and got pregnant again and lost the baby. Had a funeral for the baby that was aired or will be aired. Soon will be pregnant again, trying for 21 or 22. She lost her very first child. And she is in her mid forties rties too. You are a doctor I think so I know you are wondering why just like the rest of us.
Sick of the barrage of Romney superpac, Restore our Future, ads here in Illinois, pre-primary. This limitless money into our politics by Citizens United has distorted and damaged our political process in multiple ways. Repub candidates who would otherwise have been long gone because of lack of contributions remain to continue to insert their toxic contributions, all of which are gleefully reported by the news media. Money has always been a factor in our elections, of course, but it was always because a candidate inspired huge numbers of people to contribute, and now that advantage is neutered due to unlimited billionaire money funding candidates, and in the case of Gingrich, one billionaire. Damaging to our democracy, need a constitutional amendment to overturn.
PBO’s schedule for the week ahead:
Monday: The President will attend meetings at the White House.
Tuesday and Wednesday: The President and First Lady welcome Prime Minister Cameron and his wife, Samantha Cameron, to Washington for an Official Visit and State Dinner. The visit will highlight the special and essential friendship and partnership with the government and people of the United Kingdom, a NATO ally and our closest partner in the world. The visit by the Prime Minister reciprocates President Obama’s State Visit to the UK in May of last year, hosted by Her Majesty the Queen. The President and Prime Minister have developed a very close working relationship and a strong personal bond, which has extended to their families. On Tuesday, the President and Prime Minister will travel together to Dayton, Ohio to watch an NCAA Tournament basketball game. Also on Tuesday, the First Lady and Mrs. Cameron will be participating in an Olympics-themed event with DC-area school children.
Wednesday: There will be a formal arrival ceremony and State Dinner. The two leaders will also have the opportunity to consult on a wide range of serious issues where we are working together, including: Afghanistan, where our troops are serving shoulder-to-shoulder; Iran; Syria; and global economic and trade issues. They will also discuss the upcoming G-8 and NATO Summits.
Thursday: The President will attend meetings at the White House.
Friday: The President will attend campaign events in Chicago, Illinois, and Atlanta, Georgia.
I think we’re going to really be feeling the effects of “Obamacare”–at least I am. My wife just had surguery a few weeks ago. It wasn’t life-threatening, but necessary, and involved lots of tests and an overnight stay. We got our statement from the insurance company the other day. the hospital was charging about $35,000. After what appears to be some provider discounts, the bill was negotiated down to $8,000. The amount we have to pay from this: $1.
Now, we’ve had to use our insurance plenty of times over the years, but never ever have we had an out-of-pocket expense that was only $1. Something has changed in the health insurance world, and I think i know what it is!
Thanks for sharing with us such an inspiring story Grumpy. I wish your wife a speedy recovery and continued healing. All the best to you and family.
Obama Cares.
Thanks for your thoughts.! I had noticed that our out-of-pocket expenses had been remarkably low the past 6 months or so, then I was reading about how companies are required to spend 85 of their premiums on medical care. What do you know? This thing really makes a difference!
That’s wonderful news!! You need to get a hold of the Healthcare.gov people and the Obama administration and be a voice for them!! Don’t wait…share your good news! Hope your wife is feeling better 🙂
So, there is Hope for people like me. I have been without health insurance since I left my last job in January ’07. As self- employed, I haven’t been able to afford medical or dental. Blessed with premium health though, so nothing has been needed, yet.
http://www.healthcare.gov/ Check here:)
Sure is good to see that ‘Rise & Shine’ title this morning!
Good Morning Chips Chica! ‘Morning TODville!
Looking forward, I am, to a week where Pres O and his Admin get a break from catastrophic news. Maybe if we wish it hard enough all together the fairies will respond.
Have a wonderful Monday, Everyone! (psst Fred, you just came to mind. Have a great day you and your mom!)
Game Change “Quote Irony”
=====================
There is a scene in Game Change where the campaign is looking at Senator Barack Obama giving the speech in Berlin. The crowd was massive and they loved him. Someone says if he gives a speech like that at the convention we’re in trouble. Then Steve Schmidt ridicules Senator Obama as just a celebrity with no real accomplishments. He suggests they should ask the American people if they want a celebrity or a statesman like McCain (paraphrasing) for president. Everybody likes the idea. The next thing you see is the ad comparing Senator Obama to Paris Hilton and Britney Spears. Everyone thinks the ad is terrific. Fast forward later in the movie after they see how Sarah Palin is connecting with the conservative base, Steve Schmidt actually utters these words……
“SHE’S A BIGGER STAR THAN OBAMA”
I cracked up when I heard this. It just epitomizes the breathtaking hypocrisy of the Republican Party in general. And of course, this just demonstrates it’s ok if you are a Republican perfectly. In their heart of hearts, they were jealous of the soaring oratory, the large crowds and the impressive fundraising. They wanted to make it a liability for him. But when Sarah Palin started getting similar attention, well then being a celebrity and a star was just fine with the McCain campaign.
Ladyhawke that is so very interesting and so true. Everything the GOP criticizes PBO on – the teleprompter, “rockstar,” FLOTUS, “cult of personality”, etc is jealousy and envy speak. That’s all it is. And they are desperately trying to find someone (still) that will match him on those qualities and are failing miserably. They are desperately trying to make Mitt Romney into some kind of Republican Obama and it’s just falling apart.
Well, they aren’t trying to make Romney a star but what they’re trying to do is pretend like POTUS is just like Romney. So the same man they once described as a rock star and “James Bond”, all flash and substance, is now supposedly “awkward” and “nobody likes him”. I’ts pathetic. They have nothing so what they try to do, just like is ’08, is try to convince the public that black is white and the grass is orange, not green. But people aren’t stupid. No one in their right mind can look at Barack Obama, the coolest cat out there, and say he’s “awkward”.
Stuff like this just convinces me POTUS is gonna win by a landslide. They have absolutely nothing. When you try to turn facts upside down, you have nothing to offer.
I’ve always believed that much of the excitement about SP was fake and/or premature. It was motivated by GOP desperation and the desire to feel and experience what voters on the left were feeling and experiencing with PBO and Hillary. It reminds me of a person who’s single but their friend has found the perfect mate and they are madly in love and the single person is desperate to have the same thing so they fall in love with the first person they meet only to discover later their new love is a psychopath. A thinking person can admit they were wrong and flee for their life, while an unthinking person’s pride and denial will not allow them to admit the truth so they stay and continue to fight a losing battle.
Everything the GOP has done or not done since PBO came on the scene is rooted in a deep envy and when you add racial hatred to envy you’ve got a toxic brew.
I see Steve Schmidt totally different now because of this movie….
I have the sense he is suffering from despair. I doubt if he will ever again find work as a political consultant.
Retired Gen. Barry McGaffrey suggests on msnbc that alcohol was a factor in the Army sgt. going on his killing spree in Afghan. Unbelievable.
I read that ..that is what the locals are saying….. but as far as this being one person, I find that part unbelievable….
As far as this being one person? What do you mean?
I posted an update of this yesterday where the locals are claiming it was 2-3 people and that they burned the bodies.
Here it is.

ROTFLMAO!
Memo to ALL employees…from Governor Christie
BYOTP : Bring your own toilet paper to work !
This is not for real, it has to be a prank. Christie can bring in some from his house . I know he has a pantry full of the soft ones, two ply.
Hi All,
Have not commented in a long while. What I see happening here is that the media is afraid that the release of the Obama video on Thursday will give him too big an advantage so they are trying to stack the deck against him early in the week. If you read that new poll, you would see that it is bogus. They actually try to tell you that it is bogus in the end. The ending about him being reelected does not jive with the beginning about the big swing in independents. This whole negative news actually started with Jake Tapper on Friday or Saturday CBS night news. He actually looked scared while doing his hit job and his statistics were so skewed.
Have faith. All is well.
Welcome back socasweet. Hope you enjoyed the Carnival celebrations in Trini a few weeks back. You’re right about the media and that tool Tapper the Yapper. I’m looking forward to video release on Thursday. To hell with the media.
I don’t trust media polls. They are all done with one motive, to push a pro- Romney narrative. Even the good polls. In my mind, even though the good ones are usually true, they only release them so they can play up a “comeback” story for Romney.
Also, the President only leads by 2 over little Pricky.
Santorum is the weakest candidate since Adley Stevensen, yet he is only behind by 2.
Are we missing something? Is the fickle public starting to Blame this President for everything?
Hmmm!
No. We aren’t missing anything and if you believe that poll I have a bridge in the Atlantic Ocean to sell you.
I see the crosstabs in poll have fewer self-identified Dems in this poll as last poll, a net gain of 7% for Repubs—-nonsensical after all encouraging economic news and women flocking to Dems after threats against their rights.
Exactly.
If their ever was a bridge that connected NYC to England, and it was used only for high speed rail, that would be cool.
TIS’ WHAT I HAVE SAID BEFORE…THE RIGHT WING EVANGELISTS ARE GATHERING W/ SANTORUM. THEY WILL NOT VOTE FOR ROMNEY BECAUSE HE IS A MORMON…THE REAL EVIDENCE OF THIS WILL BE SEEN IN THE MIDWEST! LOCK INTO YOUR GRASSROOTS COMBAT BOOTS…WE ARE GOING TO NEED EVERYONE TO VOTE!
Sanity = dedication to reality at all costs. M. Scott Peck.
This is one of my favorite quotes. When it comes to how I live my life, I want it to be as realilty-based as possible. Now, I do love fantasy. But I do not confuse it with reality. Polls are important indicators. And they can be skewed and have sampling errors. I do pay attention to polls. But they are not predictors of how things might change before the election. Gas prices could be a strong variable in the election results. That is very realistic. This is not going to be an easy process.
However, I have faith in the president and his organizing. We’re battling groups that hate him, SuperPacs, voter suppression laws, etc., etc. We have to organizer better and more effectively. I believe we will. But I have no illusions it is going to be easy.
And Adlai Stevenson was a brilliant man who would have made a great president. Ricky, well, there isn’t any position low enough that he wouldn’t disgrace with his presence.

Big oil is killing us!
Just so everyone knows… about the research on Obamacare, it was published in the New England Journal of Medicine which is considered one of the best, if not the best journal of medicine. So this bodes really well for the policy, share the news with everyone!
Another OFA office is opening in Philadelphia this week…..this time it will be in my neighborhood of Germantown…300 block of West Chelten Ave….from 6pm to 9pm….

PF, I’ve been trying to reach the ACLU offices in Philadelphia, but I keep getting caught in a phone tree. I want to know if the state ACLU is planning a lawsuit against the state re the voter suppression law. I heard that such a suit was in the offing, but I can’t seem to get in touch with a live human being. Do you know how?
Wow Jackie…i don’t …do they have a website…perhaps you could email them,,,
On Monday, the President will attend meetings at the White House.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the President and First Lady look forward to welcoming Prime Minister Cameron and his wife, Samantha Cameron, to Washington for an Official Visit and State Dinner.

HEADLINE: Labor Leaders Plan to Apply New Clout in Effort for Obama
// As the A.F.L.-C.I.O. prepares to endorse President Obama on Tuesday, labor leaders say they will mount their biggest campaign effort, with far more union members than ever before — at least 400,000, they say — knocking on voters’ doors to counter the well-endowed “super PACs” backing Republicans. //

If it were me doing the ranking, I would replace # number 2 with number # 1.
Did I mention he can sing? I’m not sure if President Obama likes cheesy grits. I love the lakes: especially Lake Michigan. 🙂
What is Robney gonna do now? He is so jealous of our brilliant, handsome, President.
I see Knoller is crowing on twitter that gas prices are threatening President Obama’s re-election. He’s a real objective newsman, isn’t he? All snark and gleeful negativity re. Obama All The Time.
He hates his job and takes it out on our President. IMO
The wh press corps just goes with what the RNC daily emails tell them.
This is where DWS needs to do more lobbying.

Game Change Is Not A Movie, It’s A Cautionary Tale
By David E. Phillips
———————————————————————–
“It’s not that she doesn’t know the right answer, it’s that she clearly doesn’t understand the question.”–Fareed Zakaria on Sarah Palin during the 2008 Presidential Campaign.
.
.
However, the predominant emotion I felt while watching the movie was not an appreciation for the very fine work on display by all those involved in this first rate production. No. Instead, I was nearly overcome by an almost complete sense of terror over how close we came to having an incredibly incompetent neophyte politician within one 72 year old man’s bad health outcome of becoming President of the United States.
There is a scene late in the film where a tearful Wallace confesses privately to Schmidt that she could not bring herself to vote for the ticket she had worked so hard for. It is the closest thing to a heroic moment in the film. You can see the anguish on the faces of both advisers who clearly know they made a choice that was truly indefensible and they were now going to have to live with it for the rest of their lives. All I can say to that is, thank God we don’t.

Set your DVR’s or tune in.
Also, maybe it’s time we start spending more money on ads, in these crucial States.
Basically, the Robney super PAC has carte Blanche in the airwaves, right now.
I think that is a mistake, what are we waiting for?
Waiting till someone wins the republican nomination. Let them spend, we will wait and see which doofus wins, then it’s on!.
Let the Robmey campaign spend, spend, spend. We need to save every penny for a full scale onslaught when people are actually focused on the presidential race –and that isn’t now.
I just tweeted
@drshow I had to turn you off. Good to have opposing view but the hate going unanswered is offensive, Will not listen to Obama bashing
Tell me more snowbird; how did a program about the fight for women voters turn into “Obama bashing”?
Apparently lots of people are upset about that guest Phyllis Schlaffly or whatever her name is, spewing GOP talking points.
Thanks hopefruit, the second I read Phyllis Schaffly brought instant clarification.
Wow…Phyllis Schlaffly….a blast from the past….she was never a friend to the women’s movement….they went up into the attic for her….

Does anyone have any advice on how t attack Bain who owns “Clear Channel” media. Any petitions or boycott info?
Will this help ?
Bain and Thomas H. Lee paid $17.9 billion to buy media-and-entertainment company Clear Channel Communications just before the economy headed south and radio advertising deteriorated.
Today, Clear Channel’s actively traded debt is rated at the lower end of the “junk”-bond universe, even though revenue and operating income rose last year.
The company has more than $12 billion in debt due in 2016 and default is a “real possibility,” said Melissa Link, an analyst at Fitch Ratings, in an interview. Clear Channel declined to comment on Ms. Link’s analysis. WSJ

Hmm I see in an interview HRC is saying she “hoped” she would have made the OBL decision. Funny, seeing as how she was against the raid and only Gates was for it. But I guess since everything turned out spiffy….

Fmr. McCain aide on ‘Game Change’: Palin presidency ‘frightens me’
——————————————–
A former senior strategist for Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) 2008 presidential campaign says that the depiction of Sarah Palin by actress Julianne Moore in HBO’s film “Game Change” was “very accurate.”
“I think for all of us that were in the campaign it really rang true,” Steve Schmidt told MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski on Monday. “It gave you a little bit of [post traumatic stress disorder] PTSD at times.”
In the movie, Schmidt’s character — played by Woody Harrelson — deals with a mentally unstable Palin who knows little about foreign policy and often refuses to cooperate with the campaign.

Women’s Impact On The Economy, By the Numbers
http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2012/03/08/440639/international-womens-day-economy-numbers/
I just watched the Steve Schmidt segment from this morning..
Why does Mika always seem to stick up for Sarah Palin ?
She is weak and pathetic—–her job is nodding along to whatever Joe says. She thinks she’s in some camraderie with A WOMAN, no matter the facts or circumstances. Dum de dum dum.
It’s not there’s anything there to stick up for..so she must be just making stuff up.
One of the BIG Topics introduced at beginning of The View——“the surprising poll that has everyone talking today!!!” I have never seen such a united media satisfaction and obsession over ONE POLL. Pretty amazing—-that a whole series of favorable Obama polls gets ignored and then they all pounce on one questionable negative one that happens along.
Bill Geddie, the producer of the View, is a BIG TIME wingnut. Big time. Outside of Fox News, he’s the go to behind the scenes repug in NYC media. Why any woman watches the View is beyond me.
Oh, and wonder why that idiot Elizabeth Hasselbeck is still on there? Cause Ms. Goody Two Shoes, aka Miss Morality, has been sleeping with him since day one, allegedly. Typical repug hypocrite.
Great news, I hope the DOJ go after all these states who are trying to suppress our votes.
Yay!! Oh please, oh please, oh please, DOJ, come to PA.

Indeed!
Just saw the bit on the video where Bill Clinton adds his bit on the decision to do the Osama raid. I tell you they are scared.
When I hear VP Biden talking about President Obama and the decision to go after Osama bin Laden, when I remember what ex- Secretary of Defense Robert Gates said, I believe from my heart that President Obama will do the right concerning Afghanistan.
Hi everybody. I don’t usually post here but just lurk alot, but I just wanted to give my opinion of what I think is behind the president’s sudden so-called drop in the polls. I think this is all because of the republican primaries tomorrow and that this is supposed to be encouragement for more republicans to vote for Romney, because supposedly he has the best chance to be the president in the fall. I find it very suspicious that the president’s numbers as compared to Romney have dropped 8 points when he was up by 6 points just last week. It’s not like gas prices just went up over the weekend or something because they’ve been high for at least a month now. How convenient for these particular poll numbers to come out today—the very day before the next republican primary contests?
That’s very possible Rochelle, very possible. The bottom line is that no one with half a brain finds this sudden poll drop credible. Thanks for your insightful comment! 🙂
