Check out this video clip of the beginning PBO’s 2004 senate victory acceptance speech where expresses his gratitude to all those who helped him achieve that victory including his extended and immediate family. The quality is not that great but you can see how little the girls were (and Malia appears to have been just as feisty as Sasha was at that age too!). Of course, as usual, PBO saves the biggest and best thanks for his Queen Michelle who he calls the “star of the family.”

      Thanks. I’ve never seen this…

or… could it be that the LIBRUL, elite media has been hiding it since 2004?! Why did you edit out the part where he hugs known radical Michelle L. Obama?? #VetThePrez

And what about this one, sure to be next in Teh Vetting: Radical state senator Obama talking about inequality- inequality in America? Impossible.- and revitalizing URBAN communities! How radical and racial. Marxist, even!:

Here he is admitting, on camera(!) , to writing a communist manifesto inspired by his own youth in an Islamist madrassa run out of Chicago by Reverend Wright! :

Oh no, and here he is dancing to race music while admitting to indoctrinating his own daughter with the radicalist views espoused by the D-O-double-G himself! :

And mist damning of all, an interview talking about going to college (snob!) and working on “developing” the Black community…Developing them for WHAT, I wonder? The takedown of real America through socialism, food stamps, and diversity? And, also, too, why is he wearing the same blue shirt here as in the alleged Harvard protest years prior?

Could Alinsky and Soros have written a more perfect plot? The truth is out there!

      • March 8, 2012 at 12:58 pm

Big thanks Hf2 & QO! 😆 I always enjoy old footage of my president no matter how brief they are. I keep tsaying this because I believe it – the Obamas are a real physical tonic. I invariably feel uplifted when I see or listen to either one in action.

Did LegalZoom dump Rush? My hapless next door neighbor’s husband is in the hospital. She is 74 years old and has never so much as written a check. She needs a power of attorney and we can’t get a lawyer who will bother with so small a request, so I thought I’d look into Legal Zoom.

      • March 8, 2012 at 1:38 pm

What’s amazing to me is that these companies never questioned their association with Rush until now. He’s been vulgar and insulting towards women, the President, Democrats and general humanity for a long time now. And they’ve been associated with him through all of that. The fact that they didn’t drop him when he wished the President (ergo, the country) would fail, on Inauguration Day, says a lot.

        • March 8, 2012 at 11:50 am

Also good. I would enjoy having a woman president in my lifetime, though. Even though in the Democratic 2008 primaries, I was all Obama, all the time. But Hillary has grown on me and the country really likes her but one election at a time, eh?

          • 60 Lorraine
            March 8, 2012 at 12:02 pm

You must be my twin. I was always for then Senator Obama in 2008. Now, after President Obama is re-elected and the unemployment rate has gone down to 5%, Secretary of State Clinton will have an easy road to her Presidency and she will deserve it, because she has been through alot, and not even President Clinton can mess it up for her…lol.

        • March 8, 2012 at 11:50 am

It’s so awesome that we have such a STRONG field of candidates who could go on to be President.

The GOP have such a weak field, they will be in the political desert for awhile…I really don’t see how they regroup to win national elections when they make such a HARD right during the Primaries!

And anyone moderate enough in the GOP primaries gets shot down by the likes of Limbaugh, Hannity, Malkin, Coulter etc.

It truly is a damn shame. Just getting bin Laden alone would have had people putting Dumbya on Mt. Rushmore. Just saving the American auto industry alone would have inspired at least one car in any other president’s name. And so on, and so on. It’s okay, though. PBO will get his just due in time. Too many of us are witnesses.

Whatever happened to Bill Richardson? Atleast I think that is whom I am thinking of. He was the governor of NM that endorsed PBO early in the Primary of 2008. I know he was being considered for something and held an important position in the Clinton Administration. I think there was some sort of lawsuit involved while he was governor so he didn’t want to throw a negative light on Obama. Anyone heard how that turned out or what he is doing now or if he is available to hold office now? I had thought of him in a high position in Obama’s cabinet in 2012 when I hear talk of Marc Rubio on the GOP side as Richardson is Hispanic.

    Beyond Mitt’s Small Donor Problem
    By Ed Kilgore

It’s pretty well known that the virtually certain 2012 presidential nominee of the Republican Party, Mitt Romney, has financed his campaign so far with an exceptionally successful corporate fundraising effort and has built the largest, best-financed, and above all most abrasively negative Super-PAC operation ever known. But Mitt’s failure to attract small-dollar donors is less well-known, and as Paul Waldman notes at the American Prospect today, the gap between Romney and the other candidates on this score are pretty shocking. The percentage of total money raised from contributions under $200 are as follows: Rick Santorum 49%; Newt Gingrich 48%; Ron Paul 46%; Barack Obama 42%—and Mitt Romney 10%. Even in absolute dollar terms, Romney’s small-donor haul is unimpressive: $6.4 million, compared with $8.8 million for Gingrich, $14.4 million for Paul—and $63.7 million for Obama. Yes, Mitt’s small donor contributions are nearly double Santorum’s $3.3 million, but he’s outraising Rick overall by a 10-1 margin.

There are some immediate problems associated with depending so heavily on big donors, notes Waldman:

It may be harder to find a hundred people who’ll give $25 than that one donor who’ll give the legal maximum of $2,500, but they give you something the fat cat doesn’t: you can come back to them again and again and ask for more money, something the Obama campaign did very well in 2008. Once the fat cat maxes out to the campaign, he’s done, and the only other way he can help is through super PACs.

And Romney’s donors are “maxing out” at unusually high rates, as the New York Times’ Nick Confessore and Ashley Parker noted yesterday:

    • 95 Obama Grandmama
      March 8, 2012 at 8:35 pm

I think the $2,500 is allowed for the Primary and another $2,500 is allowed for the GE.

Love the new documentary trailer. Remember how effective the Obama campaign’s 30-minute ad in 2008 was? This is really going to reach and touch many voters who are on the fence or who may have forgotten how much has been done since then.

Heard a few minutes ago on Ed’s show that there has been 1,100 anti-women bills, bills having to do with abortion, etc. ….anything along those lines…. introduced in state legislatures since Republicans took over in so many states. Senate to vote on transportation amendments. Boehner caves, says House may take up Senate version

After being repeatedly stalled by various Republican obstructions placed in its path, the Senate is voting today on as many as 10 amendments to its two-year, $109 billion transportation bill. Voting is scheduled to start at 2:15 PM ET. A vote on the overall bill is expected next week after another 20 amendments are considered.

Meanwhile, House Speaker John Boehner said Thursday morning that his effort at gathering votes to pass a five-year, $260-billion transportation bill have not succeeded. In its place, the House may take up the Senate bill when it passes.

Press Secretary Jay Carney will be at the podium shortly. What are my bets for which jackal will be the first to ask a VERY SERIOUS question about the infamous Breitbart tape? I like to think it would be Ann Compton. But since she doesn’t normally sit in the front row, I’m going to go with the logical choice of Ed Henry since it was Fox that breathlessly reported the (gasp) hug. Although, this is perfect for Norah O’Donnell.

The one thing that we do know will happen today at the Republican Party Press Briefing at the White House is that the news cycle will have gone full circle. The rumors about a nefarious damaging tape has gone from the Breitbart website, to other sites on the internet, to Fox to right wing radio to CNN to MSNBC and eventually gets a question at the briefing. Mission accomplished. That’s how media works these days. The jackals are led around by the nose like this all the time. It’s pathetic.

LOL, Ladyhawke, @ “the Republican Party Press Briefing”. Hopefully, a lot of this was prescooped by PBS releasing the full “Frontline” video. I guess Ed Henry, et al, COULD ask Jay Carney if PBO was an affirmative action student…cuz that’s what they really want to know, along with a renewal of the”release the transcripts” cry.

Get out the bleach for my keyboard: I wandered over to the Breitbart site to see exactly what their spin is on Derrick Bell.

Getting past their snide insinuations that the only reason Bell got tenure was because he was black, that believing racism is bad aligns you with Jeremiah Wright and other insults, it appears that Derrick Bell believed that racism was ingrained in American society and was detrimental. Remember, this is a guy who was fighting to get AA’s admitted to law school in 1962. He believed that diversity in faculty and students would bring that perspective to all students, who would benefit. Derrick Bell was a black man fighting the ingrained racism of American culture. He threatened to quit several times if women of color could not become tenured. Gee. What a horrible guy.

I didn’t read it all. I got through enough. This is the big bombshell. God.

I read today that the Romney camp is sooooo tired…….. It’s so hard……………

NYT I think: his own staffers (under condition of anonymity of course) say that Willard can’t think past the next 2 minutes. He’s so busy trying to win the nomination but has no interest in developing a coherent, effective message that would actually get him somewhere.

And this was the laugh-out-loud part: he micromanages and takes control of his speeches and his op-eds. Yeah — own THOSE, why don’t ya?

As I said yesterday, Willard is DUMB. Without his famous name and his good looks(!) and his comfort with his ruthlessness, he’d be running a dry cleaning store somewhere. He is vacuously dumb and it’s terrifying to even consider him facing what a President has to face. He would do whatever he was told without a breath of conscience. I even think Newt or Little Ricky would have a fleeting moment of “Oh God, what am I about to do?” But not Mittens. He’s a sociopath.
