They take it as a personal affront that someone would get past their ‘line of defense’ They do a boatload of detective work behind the scenes. They lurk as well as participate on right-wing hate website, and do lots of background checks and investigations.

So it looks like Romney’s gonna win Michigan. Twitter saying that Mittens campaign is gonna use the robocalls against Santorum.

But if Romney wins won’t it make the robocalls mute?

BTW, I think Santorums knocking of JFK ruined his support among Catholics. Exit polls showing Romeny beating Santorums with Catholics.

Willard also blanketed MI with negative ads and outspent Santorum 2:1. This technique may work for Willard against crazy candidates like Santorum and Gingrich, but it won’t work against PBO. Like you said BWD, we don’t really care about tonight – come Nov 6, Willard won’t know what hit him.

The exit polls in Michigan has a 3 point win for Robney.
He was expected to win and he won! Am I missing something? Why is CNN and msnbc saying Robney failed?
He has money, and he is using it wisely, his gaffes are not hurting him in the Primary.
    Just saying!

Jovie, Mitt Romney says Michigan is his home state, but yet he struggle to defeat Santorum. And if Santorum hadn’t went crazy with those JFK comment, and calling the President a snob because he want folks to go to college, Santorum might have had a chance to win. But just inching out a win, makes Romney looks WEAK. And believe you me, President Obama is a hell of alot better candidate than Santorum.

    • 68 anniebella

I disagree. This is equivalent to POTUS eeking out a three point win over Michael Moore in an Illinois primary, with voters fully aware that Moore can’t win a general election, and voting for him anyway. I don’t see this as good news for Romney in any sense. Most close election watchers expect that he will be the eventual nominee: he has the funding, he has tremendous organizational advantages over (let’s be serious) the joke candidates. But the GOP base is unenthused about him, and entertaining some serious stooges and buffoons in opposition. Compare that with POTUS’ 80+% approval ratings amongst Dems and liberals. Last night was the pathetic spectacle of the only “serious” GOP candidate becoming overjoyed at what are no more than expected wins (and in one state, barely a win). I’d say that Romney’s gaffes and obvious, obvious phoniness is indeed hurting him now, and will hurt him a great deal more in the general elections.

  27. February 28, 2012 at 9:39 pm

And as I watched this, I was also touched to see Governor O’Malley (MD) sitting in the front row listening to this young man. Our next President in the making, perhaps? 🙂

This young man is amazing! His speech and song was so moving that I feel so inspired and proud. It would be so wonderful if we (the AA community) would stop using the “N” word. I thought that it would die with the older generation until the rappers and comidians starting using it, but now I have hope that the “N” word and the other degrading words used will be a footnote in our history.

    • 113 Obama Grandmama
      February 29, 2012 at 2:11 am

The MI Primary is open so the voters can vote outside their party. The Operation Hilarity is sort of like the Operation Chaos plan Limbaugh was pushing in the Dem Primary in ’08 where he suggested Repubs register as Dems in the Primary and vote for Hillary to prolong the contest. MI often times has crossover party trickery going on in these open primary elections. Romney complained about Santorum’s robo calls in conjunction with asking Dems to crossover and vote for Santorum. You could hear he was ready to make that his excuse if he lost. The flip flop comes in when you hear Mitt has brazenly done the same thing while in MA even bragging about it on a video clip atleast the crossover vote part. .

Do Americans believe this will lower gas prices? really? Because I live in Canada…this doesn’t get traction here our gas prices is sky rocketing also, if not higher then it is in the U.S and Harper isn’t being blame for this. Calgary wants the best price for their oil, so the provinces like the one I live in which is Ontario and the Province of Quebec doesn’t buy their oil from Calgary…we import from other countries because it is cheaper. Creating the keystone pipeline won’t lower gas prices, it only fattens the pockets of the oil companies and the politicians that you see front and center pushing this.
Harper isn’t pushing this here because President Obama is more popular then he is, that is a fact…and he doesn’t want to be seem doing any thing to harm the President re-election.

NEW YORK (Reuters) – The Justice Department is conducting a criminal probe into whether the world’s biggest banks manipulated a global benchmark rate that is at the heart of a wide range of loans and derivatives, from trillions of dollars of mortgages and bonds to interest rate swaps, a person familiar with the matter said.

While the Justice Department’s inquiry into the setting of the London interbank offered rate, or Libor, was known, the criminal aspect of the probe was not.

A criminal inquiry underscores the serious nature of a worldwide investigation that includes regulators and law-enforcement agencies in the United States, Japan, Canada and the UK.

Several major global banks, including Citigroup Inc, HSBC Holdings Plc, Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc and UBS AG, have disclosed that they have been approached by authorities investigating how Libor is set.

    But emoprogs…

Just getting home. So how much did Little Ricky lose to Richy Rich Robmey? Or was it too close that it does not even matter?
Did Mrs. Robmey give any hint on which Cadillac they would be driving when they take back America?
If that what it takes to stop that fool from talking, so be it.

Lol, why is that the Daily Show doing the work of the MSM, John Stewart just outed the RNC talking points…i,e, high gas prices. That they first being sent to Fox news; a. The deficit, b. unemployment rate and c. High gas prices….then he showed clips of other media outlets picking it up and running with it. Too funny.

This probably comes as no surprise but, http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/02/28/mitt-romney-michigan-primary-results-2012_n_1305645.html?ncid=edlinkusaolp00000009#336_once-again-romney-wins-big-among-wealthy-republicans “Once again Romney Wins Big Among Wealthy Republicans.

“In Michigan, according the exit polls currently posted by CBS News, Romney runs strongest with Republicans who report incomes of $200,000 or more per year, running 26 percentage points ahead of Rick Santorum (55 percent to 29 percent). He runs ahead but by a much smaller, seven-point margin among those earning $100,000 to $200,000 per year (44 percent to 37 percent) and trails Santorum by four (35 percent to 39 percent) among those earning $100,000 or less.”

Out and about today going to my tax accountant. While waiting for my turn the post mistress came to the facility I was in giving them their mail then using the restroom there. Upon leaving she leaned over my shoulder and said, “Thinking of changing your ringtone?” Right away I knew she was talking about if I wanted to change mine to Obama singing. I said I’m considering it. She started out the door and said, ” I am too.” In ’08 I had bought many campaign buttons and knew both my local post office workers were proObama but could not talk about politics or do any public show of politics at the post office, but I brought them each buttons to choose from. They went individually behind the shelves and choose which ones they wanted and thanked me. We are secret supporters. Also they know of the many campaign mailings I get from the Dem party.

Next I saw my tax accountant who has not been so supportive of our guy in the last couple years but today she said to me, “I think he will win with no problem. How could anyone want to quit him when he has done so much?” Those two little events in my day had me thinking positive today.

Oh wait it’s not out on Friday.

Much to the surprise of many who follow the markets, the government’s monthly employment report for February is NOT out this Friday, March 2.

John Cumming | Digital Vision | Getty Images
The gov’t jobs report is NOT out this Friday, March 2

The report is issued on the first Friday of each month the vast majority of the time, but occasional calendar quirks push it back by a week.

The Labor Department’s Bureau of Labor Statistics issues the report on the third Friday following the conclusion of the so-called “reference week”, in which the household surveys are conducted.

The “reference week” is the week that includes the 12th of each month, which usually puts the report’s release date on the first Friday of the following month.

Good Morning Jovie, Why depressed? I am not depress at all. The fact is Mitt out spend Santorum, and he just barely beat a fruitcake like Santorum in his home state and if Newt wasn’t in the race it would have been even closer or Santorum may have won. So the GOP, or Mitt can spin this anyway he wants, a win is a win, but Mitt should have kick Santorum phony butt in his home state. To me this is like Michael Jordon and the Bulls playing some high school team and just winning by 3 points.

      • 191 anniebella
        February 29, 2012 at 8:10 am

Mitt and his campaign were sweating all the way, they thought there was a good chance of them losing Michigan, that’s why they are making the big deal out of them just barely winning.

        • 192 anniebella
          February 29, 2012 at 8:14 am

Like Rev. Al said, even if Mitt win, he still loses, because there is no way he should have had to fight so hard to win his home state. He should have defeated Santorum by double digits in Michigan.

          • February 29, 2012 at 8:21 am

Maybe- but if he does we next week, the primary is over!
I wonder what the polls say?
I know Robney wins Idaho, and I know Santorum is currently ahead in Ohio.

If Romney wins next week, okay let the game begin. President Barack Obama vs Mitt Romney. I nor the Obama camp is shaking in our boots, we will be ready for Mitt or what ever the GOP send our way. Count on that!!!!!!!!!

The pro-Obama super PAC Priorities USA Action is poised to start airing ads in Ohio, according to a source monitoring the 2012 air war.

Priorities USA has already put down $61,530 in the Columbus media market for a flight running March 1-6. That’s a small sum compared with what Republican groups are spending — the Romney super PAC Restore Our Future has a $1,130,750 TV and radio flight running Feb. 27-March 6 — but it’s probably going to be enough to drive a narrative Democrats are looking for.

The Democratic super PAC isn’t the only non-Republican group spending money in the GOP’s Buckeye State battle. The labor coalition AFSCME has been airing about $360,000 in commercials against Romney there.

Apart from the obvious benefit of praising yourself or demeaning an opponent, who else benefits from all the money going for ads? Is it the state or some large network or ad agency where no one gets rich except the same old guys?

Good Morning everyone. Just popped in to say HAPPY LEAP DAY! I am off to work in a bit and I wanted to ask if we could set a fundraising goal for this day. I just put in a donation. I would love to hear the reports of a record day in funds for our Presidents re-election.

Off to work ..we have been sooooooooo busy.

This is the guy who makes me believe that things can and will get better in this country. Unlike the doom and gloom guys on the other side. This is the guy that makes me feel as though he is talking about an inclusive America. Unlike the other side, who seems to be talking to and about an exclusive America… Where you have to believe in a certain God, and be in love with someone from the opposite sex.

See, the difference between President Obama and his republican opponents is this: President Obama believes that America’s best days are ahead of us, and the republicans believe that America’s best days are behind us. Which is why they’d like to take the country back.. back to the 1950’s. We look back to learn from past mistakes, but in order to progress we must look forward.

Over at a certain “red” place they are having a major sad over Romney’s barely eeking out that MI win. They know it’s BAD NEWS. Despite what folks in the MSM might want you to think. Romney is a WEAK candidate, and the MSM has pretty much been easy on him compared to the other GOP candidates in the last several months. Already his wife is nervous and making the false claim that the media loves PBO! Sure Ann, you are telling me that if someone disses me 91% of the time, that is LOVE? Alrightee then, Ms. Ann. Keep making excuses for your robot-mate Mitt.
