OMG, now all I have to do is get rid of the guy on the left and it is a perfect picture.
🙂 I replied to your late post about the abortion issue, japa….
Thank you. I agree with all your points. My reference to God was based upon their argument, not mine.

All’s good Alice, how are you?!
fab! Jim Messina blew into town yesterday and the turnout was tremendous! I had to work and then volunteer at the office so I didn’t go but everybody who went said he’s just a real down to earth, interesting and funny guy. Had lots of great stories to tell about how he got to working for PBO. So more and more people are getting fired! up!
woo-hoo!

Wonderful, alice! Good to hear. We’re Fired UP!!!
Jovie, thank you! I love this site! What a great source of information for Latino voters.
BREAKING: Same-sex marriage is on the way to being legalized in Maryland. The Washington Post reports the state Senate passed the bill already passed by the state House. That means the legislation is headed for Gov. Martin O’Malley’s (D) desk, where is it expected to get a signature.
“One voice can change a room, and if one voice can change a room, then it can change a city, and if it can change a city, it can change a state, and if it change a state, it can change a nation, and if it can change a nation, it can change the world.”
The world is changing, no matter what the Kochs, Norquists, or al-Assads want.
Completely wonderful news LL, so happy to be alive to see all this change happening. Happy days.
yay! that O’Malley’s a gem 🙂
It’s wonderful news! Congrats, Maryland!!!
This is just fabulous news! Yeah for Maryland. Just goes to show what good things can happen if you have a Democratic legislature and government. New Jersey will have to wait for Christie to be booted out in 2014. But it will happen.
I wish I could greet this with proper enthusiasm, but I know what happens next. Just as earlier this month a similar measure was signed into law in WA state, before the ink was dry the self-righteous Right put up not one but two ballot measures to overturn it into the system to collect signatures. Look out, Maryland…your turn is next.
What’s up guys? Having a great day or what? I know the LGBT community in Maryland is having a fantastic one.
Martin was on Ed going after Leroy and the Three Stooges. ha! Rapier wit thy name is Martin Bashir!!! 😆
I was, and am, a huge fan of the sci-fi show “Babylon 5”. In one of the episodes, two of the main characters had to go undercover to Mars to get support for the rebellion against a fascist Earth government. The cover that the Resistance gave them was as a newlywed couple on their honeymoon. Both characters were male. I always think of that episode when I think of same-sex marriage. Same sex marriage will come to this country the same way that single-payer will: one state at a time, until the momentum is too great for those who hate to stop.
From one sci fi geek to another, I’d forgotten that episode. Excellent, LL.
My guys loved Babylon 5…anything scifi works for them 🙂
Hey TOD family, signing out to go to an OFA meeting….catch you later allegator!
Sighs. More waste of taxpayer money.

Yeah, well our (MI) Attorney General also wasted our money in a suit against the ACA too. Blecch.
They do this for bragging rights, not outcome. They know nothing will come of it, but when they run for re-election they can boast to tea party voters about what hotshots they are for standing up against those fallen women.
I’m telling you, the next First Lady is going to have to be an Olympic athlete to measure up to Michelle Obama. She is the BIZOMB!!
What a compasionate Potus. Still takes the time out of his busy day for others.
The White House is Bo’s territory; he just let’s the family live there.
Isn’t that the case with any pet? I certainly know that my wife and I life at the sufferance of the cats and puppy.
Oh, for an edit button. “Live”, not “life”.
isn’t that an awesome photo? I like how the pres is looking back to make sure his tag-along is bringing up the rear. All the photos are beauties. Love the heartfelt hug with Gabby. And I’m always a softie for the PBO/baby photos—-notice the loving, instinctual way he’s holding that little guy in the blue snowsuit.
here we go. found a twit pic of the event. Jim Messina went to a couple of colleges, had a brown bag lunch event then ended up in st paul at “the happy gnome” (local pub) with mayors of st paul and mpls all the field directors

AN AMAZING DISPLAY OF ADVOCACY FOR WOMEN BY SANDRA FLUKE
============================================================
For anyone who has not seen Georgetown Law Center student Sandra Fluke testify today on contraception for women, I highly recommend it. The clarity that she brings to the discussion is just remarkable. Her testimony was the most powerful display of advocacy for women that I have seen since the women senators in the Democratic Party held a press conference to slam the Republican Party for trying to defund Planned Parenthood during the budget debate in April 2011.
