When the President & First Lady stepped out for the HBO concert, I thought OMG we have such a BEAUTIFUL SMART First couple!! She was so stylish without being fussy, totally chic! As a Fashionista, I was so overjoyed to finally have a elegant First Lady back in the WH, none of this heavy old money Oscar De La Renta crap.

Apparently, Jovie; I had a hard time trying to figure out where Eugene Robinson was coming from when he first started being a pundit for MSBNC. Let’s not forget he writes for the right wing Washington Post .

What about that stupid @ss Micheal Steele saying he didn’t see the singing as racist; essentially? That’s the problem boot- lickers never see anything but their master’s shoes.

Race baiting and religious jingoism aside, I thought Newt came off like an old, creepy pimp, not concerned with the irony of his ” contract” (or ‘marriage’ ? ) proposal to America. Seriously, I felt like he was trying out his newest pickup lines, complete with the ‘that-other-dude-might-sing-but-I-can-do ya-better’ line. So bizarre O_o

    1) Newt Gingrich

    – Is the angriest man in America.
    – He is the poster child for negative campaigning. He wrote the book.
    – He produced the GOPAC memo that describes the dirty names to call Democratic opponents.
    – He is a serial adulterer.
    – He is a disgraced former Speaker of the House
    – He is an influence peddler.
    – He was a “historian” for Fannie and Freddie
    – He throws racist comments around like confetti.

    2) Mitt Romney

    – He was a vulture capitalist
    – He’s wealthy
    – He’s a flip flopper.
    – He’s a pathological liar.
    – He’s a phony.
    – He has no core.
    – He can’t get arrested
    – He has a habit of copying President Obama.
    – He looks very uncomfortable holding a baby.
    – Romneycare has become an albatross.

I would love to see other items added to these lists.

Heard a comment this morning changing Vulture Capitalist to Vampire Capitalist. It was because a vulture attacks dead bodies and picks them clean whereas Bain attacked live companies and sucked them dry. Thought that fit well.

I also hear Mitt Romney taking advice from the ’08 Obama Campaign team that McCain ignored. He is making middle America his focus and is trying to take that portion of the population away. He talks the talk but doesn’t walk the walk with his governing proposals. WE need to point out that his tax breaks are for the RICH like him not aimed in the middle.

DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz re: the results of the Florida Republican primary tonight:

“Tonight, Romney was successful in buying his way to victory – but with every passing Republican contest, he becomes weaker with key general election swing and independent voters should he make it that far. That’s because Mitt Romney has made it clear he will say anything, take any position on any given day and before any given audience and will distort any fact about his or his opponents’ record to win.

“But voters are paying more attention than Mitt Romney gives them credit for.

“The reason Mitt Romney’s negatives have soared with independent voters nationally and in key states, even as he has won one contest on his home field and bought his way to victory in another, is because the more voters learn about his extreme and out of touch positions the less they like him and the less they trust him to lead.”” –…”

At a $35,800 per head fundraiser at the St. Regis Hotel, the president delivered what could become one of his most repeated refrains this year:

“Now I think what we’re really struggling for is the kind of America that most of the people here believe in, and I believe that most Americans believe in. But we’re going to have to fight for it because the other party has a fundamentally different vision about where to take this country.

Their basic argument is that if we strip out regulations, if we disregard environmental concerns, if we take away protections for workers, if we lower taxes even further for the kind of folks who are in this room, that somehow growth and the American dream will be restored. I fundamentally disagree with that vision.”

His public schedule provided little guidance, as usual, simply listing a campaign fundraiser at a “private residence.” Later, details dribbled out suggesting the residence in question was in Chevy Chase, Md.

Now, at long last, the pool report reveals who hosted the president: the residence belongs to Stewart Bainum, chairman of Manor Care and Choice Hotels International, and his wife, Sandra.

The Bainums have been longtime supporters of Obama, writing their first checks on Feb. 8, 2007 — two days before the then-senator officially announced his intention to run for president, records show. They ended up bringing in more than $500,000 for Obama in 2008. This time around, both Bainum and his wife have given the maximum $5,000 contributions to the campaign and Stewart Bainum was one of the bundlers disclosed on Obama’s campaign finance report filed Tuesday.

According to the report, he had raised between $200,000 and $500,000 for the campaign. His level might have just shot up dramatically, to the tune of $2.5 million.

      Wow!!! 2.5 million smackers!

It’s because he doesn’t have to work for it that he squanders money so easily. Nothing has value to someone who has never had to earn what they have. That’s why everything and everyone is disposable to this man. If he is a man. I see him as a freak of human nature.

    5 million dollar day-

By DONOVAN SLACK | 1/31/12 8:50 PM EST
As the GOP hopefuls duked it out for the final day in Florida Tuesday, the Obama camp dispatched the heaviest hitters in its arsenal to collect campaign cash.

The president spent the evening speaking to supporters at back-to-back events in Washington, while first lady Michelle Obama was scheduled to fundraise in California, and Vice President Joe Biden delivered remarks at a campaign event in Texas.

The total haul for the day was expected to be more than $5 million, according to figures provided by a Democratic Party official. It’s unclear if the campaign planned it that way, but the fundraising push coincides with the campaign’s official report to the Federal Election Commission on last quarter’s numbers.

To bad it was not 6 million, then he could be called- the 6 million dollar man.

She looked great. But what I like most of all, she does not wear pantyhose(I know some women must have them) but to me it is freedom, total freedom. Plus my dear husband said I have great legs. So yes, I keep cocoa butter/ Shea butter in every room. And she makes the shoes pop with the outfit, not matching all the time like the stiff, Stepford wives would be expected to do. I like that.

I caught this Rick Tyler guy, and none of the MSNBC folks were falling for his crap, and I was happy to see that. I am dam sick and tired of folks like Newt Gingrich telling us that we have no work ethics, or all of us are on foodstamps, or we have no role models. Don’t get me wrong, we have our problems just like any other community does, but we also have people who are darn great role models, and they are not all famous people, we have people who gets up everyday and go to work, and they are not on foodstamps. All communities have problems, but it seem Newt and his GOP racists friends only pick on the black community. I’m fed up with it and it’s time for the media to call them out on it. Call these folks what they are, which is racists. When more people were on foodstamps under G.W. Bush, when was he call a foodstamp President. Now the racists ass Gingrich going after the President because he sang.

I loved it when Rev Al said that if you are trying to appeal to African American voters how is it helpful to be calling the first African American president the food stamp president? Rick Tyler was babbling incoherently. It was just embarrassing. Newt’s duplicity is remarkable. He joins up with Rev Al to promote education and now he disparages President Obama every time he speaks. His racist dog whistles are repugnant. For me, he is the ugliest, nastiest, angriest man I have ever seen running for president. The GOP deserves him.

While Newt may think that the racist remarks will get the tea party out to vote, at the same time he is also doing wonders for gotv in the African American community. I just hope that people that live in states where the voter id laws are stringent are getting their paperwork in order and getting the registration process started now. There is no excuse for waiting. VOTING IS OUR MOST POWERFUL WEAPON THIS YEAR. Anyone that decides to sit out the election and not vote is just a glutton for punishment. 2011 was a disaster because of GOP obstruction and manufactured crises. Who would want to go through that again?

And Occupy Wall Street is dead silent on this. Notice that? Now they’ve moved from the issue of money buying elections to something completely different. I warned from day 1 that I seriously doubted the motives of this so-called movement. They were clearly organized because they thought that PBO was going to be raising $1 Billion dollars and they were trying to thwart his fundraising efforts. They didn’t give a rat’s arse about the GOP candidates…they didn’t give a rat’s arse about Citizen’s United…

Now that it’s clear that PBO’s money comes mainly from his individual supporters who donate less than $250 at a time, OWS is not-so-subtly changing the topic and trying to make it about NDAA, war, etc…anything they can use to pin on the President, while giving their King Romney a free pass.

The president is scheduled to deliver remarks on the economy at the James Lee Community Center in Falls Church, Va.

Administration officials have hinted that an announcement about a new housing program is forthcoming but they have so far declined to say when or give further details. The scuttlebutt around the West Wing suggests today could be the day.

Romney said that he doesn’t give a shit about the poor. What an ass.

Romney should be concerned about ALL Americans.

PERFECT answer by FL Michelle Obama.
I can only imagine what the “liberal” media would have said had she said something different. And of course the righties would have attacked her patriotism and spun it to say she hates the song (thus America). She handled the question beautifully.

    And she looks great.

Can’t see the second video though. I’ll have to go to NBC to watch it.

Joe says that the President is the most negative campaigner in the history of Presudential politics.

I don’t get it. Senator Obama had a message and a vision and inspired people in 08.
    That is the difference!

I have always thought their numbers were simply based on the companies that are customers of their payroll service. Nothing more or nothing less.

You’re right Bill. ADP is a payroll service. They process most of the private sector payroll throughout the country. Their numbers are an indicator of whether or not the private sector is hiring. I’m glad that payrolls were increased but in order to get that unemployment number to go down companies need to be hiring about 250,000+ new people each month. We’ll take what we can get. Hopefully the 8.5 unemployment rate will hold and not tick up tomorrow.

i know that we should evaluate everything….

but i have found out that perception is reality…

it is not that we should not get too excited…but with the onslaught of lies…distortions….degredation of whole groups of people….

feeling good about good things…is acceptable…at least it is for me….

        Presssssssssssss ON!

Just 15 months after taking a thumping in the 2010 midterm elections, House Democrats have seized on the current anti-Washington fervor and are confident they can win the 25 seats they need to regain control of the House. Vice President Joe Biden made a bold prediction on Friday, telling House Democrats at their annual retreat on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, “I really do think we’re going to win back the House.”

To flip control of the House back just one cycle after losing it, the House Democrats’ campaign operation is relying on a class of new recruits, just inducted into its “Red to Blue program” that targets Republican seats.

    Pressssssssssss ON!
