I can’t wait to see the video where Stephen Colbert hands dick Halperin his ass!

I have no idea how he keeps his job, given how lousy he is at predicting or how off base he is with his punditry!!

    • January 20, 2012 at 11:13 am

oooooh.. what was this for? I would love to see that myself 😆 I cant stand Halperin, I love when people shut him down on b.s right wing talking points. The uncomfortable look on his face when he gets told to ‘STFU’, always makes for a good laugh!!

Have you also noticed that PBO’s few notes have eclipsed anything the R candidates did last night? Was that perfect timing or what?. Who cares about nasty old Newt, stiff-backed Mitt, crusty Ron and wacky Rick when you can hear a gorgeous man singing he loves you. If pheronomes could vote, it would be Obama in a landslide.

    POPCORN ALERT..POPCORN ALERT….POPCORN ALERT..

Gallup’s Editor-in-chief Frank Newport appeared on MSNBC to talk about the polling organization’s national tracking poll of the GOP primary race, which is changing rapidly in the last few days of the campaign for South Carolina. Newport said when their new data comes out at 1 pm eastern, “…we’ll see this gap closing more. Romney was up 23 points over Newt Gingrich. Now it will be down about ten points, so clearly things are collapsing.”

GMA, CBS This Morning, Today Show, Morning Joe, CNN, Fox News, and a host of local stations all over the country have been repeatedly airing the video. Grown men and women on the news have been giggling and going gaga over PBO’s voice. Journalists have been tweeting about how awesome PBO’s voice is. Jim Messina has been recommending the video to all his twitter followers. President Obama, Al Green, and Let’s Stay Together have been trending worldwide on twitter since last night. And Chuck Todd is on my last nerve. He is so jealous of anyone who is smarter and better looking than he is, like President Obama who never gets fair, unbiased reporting from him. And like Stephen Colbert whom he slammed yesterday while speaking in front of a group in S.C. He’s all worried that Colbert’s agenda “may be anti-Republican”! Oh the horrors! He warned, “Is it (Colbert’s actions) about educating the public about the dangers of money in politics? Or is it simply to marginalize the Republican Party?” Yay, Chuckie T., the Great Republican Party Defender! I see he’s getting bombarded with angry tweets in response. Good. And he topped it off with saying today that Iraq “MAY” not have had WMD. May??? He either has an agenda or is dumber than a door knob.
Speaking of Colbert—noted that the whole Morning Joe crowd this a.m. was waiting for his appearance. He received huge applause as he entered. All were happy to see him except Halperin who looked really grumpy the whole time Colbert was there. All these guys—-Todd and Halperin etc.—are all worried that Colbert is making a mockery of their self-importance, exposing the b.s. they spew.

It would be laughable if it wasn’t pathetic: a First Lady for whom everyone’s image will be that it was just fine with her to have an affair with a cheating husband, and that she ‘wouldn’t care’ if he jumped back and forth from bed to bed.

Hahahahahahahahaha. Another sign for Romney that he’s not going to be basking in the interior of the WH anytime soon. He and his team keep fucking up on a simple thing as releasing one’s tax returns. He sure does know how to make a mountain out of a molehill. With the investigative reporting of his hide away funds in the Cayman Islands and his continued dodging of the tax issue, it is now patently obvious that he doesn’t want to release the forms because he probably used shady tax loopholes and other shady means to avoid paying taxes. I sincerely hope his rivals keep pushing for him to release multiple years tax returns as his father originally did because if he only releases 2011, he’ll probably have cleaned it up real nice.

      • January 20, 2012 at 2:04 pm

‘He sure does know how to make a mountain out of a molehill.’

You know, UTALib, I actually think it is a huge mountain to Willard, and not a molehill at all!. There is no question that he is very acquisitive and quite, quite greedy, AND enormously wealthy; Bain’s history documents that. I also believe ONE reason he is waiting until April, is because he doesn’t want to release them and then later find out that he didn’t need to BECAUSE his campaign disintegrates, for whatever reason.

There is no question in my mind that Willard has something to hide, not the least of which is his actual financial worth. I wouldn’t be surprised if his reasoning is …a) I’m not revealing all my finances because the extent of my not giving a kick about the USA would be clear, and that would jeopardize my chances to be CIC.
        b) If I don’t reveal my finances and I don’t win I can keep my exploitation of the tax code secret.
        c) If I can get away with not revealing my info UNTIL I win (cough! cough!), I won’t have to reveal it at all.
Willard thinks primarily of Willard and his family/peers. IMO his reason for coveting the CIC role is all to do with himself, but he unfortunately can’t get there without our votes, so he’s holding his nose and wading in, and promising whatever he feels will hold us off until ……….

Moron..I’ll post what the awesome Democratic Gov of Montana said

“What the State Department is tasked with doing is getting a complete application that says, ‘Here is the pipeline being proposed.’ But unfortunately, in an unprecedented way, the governor of Nebraska called a special session, changed the laws in Nebraska so that TransCanada no longer has a route, and there’s been no permit granted in Nebraska,” Schweitzer said today on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports.”

Because the pipeline route is not yet approved in Nebraska, President Obama had no choice but to strike down the proposal, Gov. Schweitzer explained.

“In Nebraska, they say it’s going to be at least six months, maybe a year before they can actually grant a permit. And yet we’re standing before the administration and saying to them, ‘We have an inadequate application, it’s not complete, we don’t know where the route is, so we can’t tell you how big the pipeline will be or where it’s going to be delivered to, now we want you to give us approval.’”

He added, “These jokers in Congress that are trying to force the president to approve of an incomplete application are just making mischief. They’re not helping us develop energy,” he said.

“As the chief executive of Montana, if they asked me to approve of a pipeline with an incomplete application, I would have to reject it. And I am the biggest proponent of this pipeline in America,” he said.

          http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/01/19/10194309-montana-governor-blames-nebraska-not-obama-for-keystone-rejection

    • January 20, 2012 at 12:21 pm

At least she’s revealing her blue dog status up front. People will know what they’re getting with her. It’s so stupid – if she explained to her right wing constituents that there is no way to rule in favor of a pipeline that hasn’t fully been routed yet, I’m sure she’d be in a better position than simply catering to the nonsense. She’s probably getting a pen out to sign the Grover pledge, too.

    Why the GOP will fail:

“It wasn’t that long ago that Democrats were the Keystone Kops of American politics, getting out-fundraised, out-messaged, and out-organized by the Republicans. But in just a few short years, the ruthlessly effective GOP turned itself into a party of radicals and fools, ever eager to shoot themselves in the foot and outmaneuvered at seemingly every turn. Why did this happen? I get reminded again and again of something Garrett Epps wrote in the Prospect at the end of Bill Clinton’s administration: that Clinton didn’t destroy his enemies, he drove them insane, and they destroyed themselves. I think Barack Obama did (and continues to do) something similar to Republicans.

Their hatred of him is so overwhelming, so powerful, that it clouds their judgment and twists their party into something ugly and incompetent. One can only imagine what they will do to themselves if he wins another four years in the White House.”

      Love this part:

Predictions are dangerous, but I’m going to go ahead and make one right now: By November, the Obama campaign will have torn Mitt Romney into tiny little pieces, put those pieces into a wood chipper, and fed the dust that came out the other end to the worms.

I don’t think we’ve ever seen a potential presidential nominee give so much ammunition to his opponent.

BILLINGS, Mont. — Exxon Mobil agreed Thursday to pay the state of Montana $1.6 million in penalties over water pollution caused by a pipeline break last summer that fouled dozens of miles of shoreline along the scenic Yellowstone River, a state official said.

Montana Department of Environmental Quality director Richard Opper told The Associated Press that the penalty marks the largest in the agency’s history.

The Texas oil company will pay $300,000 in cash and spend $1.3 million on future environmental projects, Opper said. Exxon Mobil will reimburse more than $760,000 in emergency response costs racked up by state agencies.

+1,000,000,000. Completely agree with Tim Wise. Where the fuck was OWS when African-Americans were getting shafted in all sorts of ways? Where the fuck was OWS when African-Americans were suffering decades of recession? Where the fuck was OWS when GWB was screwing up the economy? Where the fuck was OWS when African-Americans were experiencing inhumane police brutality? All of a sudden their over-privileged and cushy lifestyles aren’t affordable and the haze of weed has cleared off and they dare come to HARLEM to protest President Obama? They dare come to HARLEM to raise their whiny voices about unfairness? They dare come to HARLEM to protest the one person going to bat for them every single day and expect not to be drowned out? The fuck you say? They should do us all a favor and go collectively fuck themselves. Bunch of do nothing morons.

UT, How do you really feel about it?? Seriously, I agree with you, 1 gazillion times over. I never got on the OWS bandwagon, but this, this, THIS RIGHT HERE?? This shows how out of touch they really are. How arrogant, how shallow, how stupid they really are.

Antoine Dodson DUMB!! For real. What did they think was going to happen? I’m just glad that reason prevailed. Somebody really could have gotten hurt. I’m sure the Secret Service and NYPD were on point.

Tim Wise got that just exactly right! The white leftists who went to Harlem are showing just how utterly ignorant and stupid they are. Brainwashed idiots who listen to the profiteering “left” like greenwald, michael moore, etc etc ad nauseum. That guy with the sign is the poster kid for dumbass brainless stooge.

This is a first for me, linking to Politico, but I thought this was interesting—-bookie ups Obama’s re-election odds after last night’s singing swoon-fest. He called it “spectacular” and “charismatic” —-and noticed—- the “ability to move and motivate people and Obama does that effortlessly”.

“We’re calling it the ‘Al Green’ effect. We can’t get the song out of our heads after seeing the video of him at the Apollo,” according to a press release Paddy Power issued Friday morning. “Policies are important but so too is the ability to move and motivate people and Obama does that effortlessly.”

Big news on preserving the freedom of the Internet.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has decided to “postpone” a vote on the controversial internet piracy bill PIPA, originally scheduled for Tuesday.

“There is no reason that the legitimate issues raised by many about this bill cannot be resolved. Counterfeiting and piracy cost the American economy billions of dollars and thousands of jobs each year, with the movie industry alone supporting over 2.2 million jobs. We must take action to stop these illegal practices. We live in a country where people rightfully expect to be fairly compensated for a day’s work, whether that person is a miner in the high desert of Nevada, an independent band in New York City, or a union worker on the back lots of a California movie studio. I admire the work that Chairman Leahy has put into this bill. I encourage him to continue engaging with all stakeholders to forge a balance between protecting Americans’ intellectual property, and maintaining openness and innovation on the internet. We made good progress through the discussions we’ve held in recent days, and I am optimistic that we can reach a compromise in the coming weeks.”

Just thought of this…her signature song “At Last” (sung by Beyonce) was the song the President and Mrs. Obama danced to at the Inaugural (sp) Ball.
