Dear Ravishing, Freakin’ Stunning, I bow to your beauty, Chips; I worship you. (seriously…your radiance did blind me…now I can’t see how pretty you are and have to rely on my oh-so-reliable memory…I mean who could forget someone as Gorgeous as thou?) (plus there was no ‘reply’ button on your post, so here I am clear on this thread begging for mercy.)

    Night, sweetie.

At some point next month the inevitable list of Top 10 (fill in the blank) of the Year lists will begin appearing. If there is a Top Ten Tweets of the Year list, I’ll vote for this one:

Obama stopped first at the regal Upper East Side residence of Jack Rosen, chairman of the American Jewish Congress. A Keith Haring fresco and an abundance of original modern artwork hung from the walls of the townhouse, where about 30 people gathered for the event.

Rosen, a prominent Jewish donor, vouched for Obama’s record on Israel.

“As you know many in the Jewish community are concerned” about the U.S. relationship with Israel, Rosen acknowledged. But, he added, “America’s never been as supportive to the state of Israel” than during Obama’s administration.

Obama, who has upset some American Jews with his stance toward Israel in the Middle East peace process, echoed Rosen: “We don’t compromise when it comes to Israel’s security.”

FINALLY, I refresh and get the new post – and I see you’ve softened the visual by putting POTUS ahead of moorely – SMART MOVE Chipsticks!

  7. November 30, 2011 at 10:34 pm

Remember the guy who sent me that awful email full of total lies about health reform? Chips and some others helped me find links/info to give him facts. Well, I just saw on FB he Shared: Obama Jobs Plan: Tax Increase on Job Creators (Heritage Foundation). I am not responding in any way—am ignoring it. The ironic thing is that I had JUST shared a picture that says: “Never look down on somebody unless you’re helping him up” and this same guy ‘liked’ it immediately. He doesn’t even see the irony. 😦

I’m sure he was talking about the Repubs insisting that the wealthy don’t pay their fair share.

However, Politico is going to do something opposite with that pic. POLITICO HEADLINE (with pic) “Obama regrets having a 15-year adulterous affair with Michelle’s best friend.”

  10. November 30, 2011 at 10:42 pm

So Chips, I finally show up for the party and YOU are saying ‘G’night’?! Fine, if that’s the way you feel! 😉 Sweet dreams! Me, I’m going to see what you’ve all been saying this afternoon.

Other than that, the media only parrots what the RNC emails them throughout the day, and those eMails does not include x mas tree lights!

I know he’s polling 1-2% but how can Huntsman with his “Bimbo eruptions” quote?

    • 51 hopefruit2
      November 30, 2011 at 11:31 pm

The media will give him a pass for now. However, if he ever shows a hint of rising in the polls, these issues will come to the forefrunt.

    • December 1, 2011 at 1:24 am

And, he’s got daughters. That quote was reprehensible – especially since it was about victims of sexual assault and abuse. Really reprehensible.

Don’t know if others mentioned this before because I am wathing in rerun. I see former Denever Mayor Rocky Anderson formed the Justice Party and making a 3rd Party Presidential run and of course Maddow gave him a platform.

With everything at stake, is this the time to divide the vote of democracts and left-leaning voters???? when you are priviledged you are shortsighted about the stakes real people face

    • December 1, 2011 at 1:16 am

That is stupid. We have OWS protesting PBO in NY and now this. A lot of OWS protesting PBO is coming from GPO.COM. I also read they are protesting the DCCC fund raiser with Nancy Pelosi. I think this is to deny the youth vote for PBO from libeterians for 2012 as there not interested in voting except to fight the man as to quote St Roscoe. They seem to idolise michael moore taitz. I have totally lost any support I had for them. They are not protesting Mcconell or the orange speaker

      • December 1, 2011 at 1:30 am

I heard them talking on the radio about the G8 and NATO summits to be held next year in Chicago. The OWS folks were on saying they’re gearing up to protest the events, and have been applying for permits since President Obama announced the summits would be in Chicago. They’ve had some rejected applications, and are saying that they want to be 100 yards from the world leaders.

My question: what does protesting NATO and G8 have to do with their goals of eradicating joblessness, corruption and regulating Wall Street? Protesting these summits is usually the work of anarchists, and that’s what this group is becoming, in my eyes. Seems they are just up for agitating, and accomplishing nothing tangible. And since they’ve said they either won’t vote, or will only vote for a third party candidate (i.e. support a Republican president), then they are a waste of time.

    • December 1, 2011 at 1:48 am

Btw- Rachel hates the President, she keeps telling her audience about Ron Paul and now this third party dude? She was stuck on stupid with the interview with David plouffe tonight! She kept telling him the WH caved on the bush tax cuts. David said, we got a lot in return and if we did not compromise, middle class families would have seen their taxes go up 1000/yr!
She has a problem with him, always has!

The Obama administration announced the potential sale Wednesday of a $304 million weapons package to the United Arab Emirates that includes 600 2,000-pound “bunker-buster” bombs.

In all, the sale includes 4,900 guided bombs to the UAE. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) notified Congress of the sale Wednesday, a required step before it can be finalized.

Boeing and McAlester Army Ammunition Plant are the prime contractors for the weapons package, according to the release announcing the potential sale.

Looking to cement a foreign policy success and prod democratization in one of the world’s most isolated and authoritarian nations, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton sought Thursday to test the willingness of Myanmar’s leaders to expand nascent reforms.

On a historic visit here, Clinton said she was hopeful, but not yet convinced, that “flickers of progress” in the Southeast Asian country will burst into flames of change.

Clinton, speaking to Myanmar’s President Thein Sein during their meeting, said: “I am here today because President Obama and myself are encouraged by the steps you and your government have taken to provide for your people.

Sein said Clinton’s visit was a historic chapter in relations between the two nations. Their meeting took place in a grandiose palace that has 40-to-60 foot ceilings, chandeliers and teak doors. It is situated near a virtually empty, 20-lane highway.

Clinton’s diplomatically risky trip to a nation that receives few outsiders and still heavily restricts what its people can see and read is meant to test whether new civilian leaders are truly ready to throw off 50 years of military dictatorship. U.S. officials said she would also press the leadership on severing military and suspected nuclear ties with North Korea.

WOW…just WOW!! Just watched Ann Curry’s interview with VP Biden. Compelling and moving and inspirational all rolled into one. I missed the first part, but what got my attention was her asking him if the US was “rushing” the ending of the war. True, Joe, he put her in her place, but did it graciously. GO JOE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • December 1, 2011 at 7:30 am

I missed it, maybe chipper can get the video for us?
      Good morning!

      • December 1, 2011 at 7:41 am

Matt said more of it will be on Nightly News tonight. I want to see the ENTIRE thing. As is typical of Joe, he teared up when talking about Bo’s return home and all the parents that had a child come into Dover AFB. Joe is SO sincere and loving and compassionate. Don’t care of Ann Curry, but for Joe’s part, it is an amazing interview.
