When will the Good Lord save us from this repug wingnut hell? What wrong did we collectively do to deserve this near daily punishment? And I am one who never permits my eyeballs to watch these debates, yet I am distressed simply by the existence of these nutjobs who America in its warped wisdom could potentially elect into office. AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Save our souls!!!!!!

So hold on, keep the faith and let us all do whatever we can to help re-elect President Obama.

Frankly I may not survive this madness until Nov 2012. I have devised all manner of strategies to avoid exposure to the pure bull that spews from the REpug clowncar, but I am at my wits end from the daily onslaught of the tangential hit of wingnuttery.

Zizi, you will because we are going to be with you all the way. We will get through this hellish time because we see what a beautiful, intelligent, calm, rational, caring, smart, smart, smart, loving, caring, and very connected to the goodness of his ‘moral compass’ President of the United States, Barack Obama that we have now.

We are appreciating him everyday that we can’t do anything less than work our bottoms off to get him reelected in 2012. So Anniebella is correct, 2012 for Obama/Biden is our gift again. That is our hope.

This is our wandering in the wilderness now. We will come out whole, sane, and so very blessed in 2012. Keep giving thanksgiving daily for what we have in POB and ask for continued blessings for him to lead us again for another 4 years. We are going to make it. HZ

I have been gone all day to the hospital to be with my Mom who was admitted two days ago. She is going thru final stage lung cancer. It is hard and I wasn’t sure I was up to watching the GOP Debate tonight so thought I would come here first to read your take on it then get the courage to watch the Tivoed debate myself. It scares me to think we could possibly get one of these crazies in the WH. Even Romney is scary as it sounds like another war to me if he is in office.

ZIZi, Never loose hope! These idiots and this madness will soon pass. And if for some reason the American people do decide to go back to some craziness and elect these morons, remember that the world has witnessed worse calamities and still survived.

Let me tell you Zizi, I never dreamed that I would be alive to witness the end of Apartheid in South Africa. Lo, and behold, Apartheid ended, in my life time and not in my children’s life time as I dreamed. Likewise, I never imagined that the United States would elect a Black President, in my lifetime. But lo and behold Barack Obama was elected President with electoral landslide that included winning two former confederate states: Virginia and North Carolina. As a student of history I am well aware that things can go backwards. At the same time, I feel so confident, and hopeful, that given the characters Republicans have put up to oppose the President, the President will likely emerge triumphant in 2012. I am determined to do my part to see that he is re-elected

  8. November 12, 2011 at 9:55 pm

I made myself watch this crap tonight, because I had to see for myself what kind of people if by some strange accident was to be our next president.
We would have the same Bush/Chaney foreign policy format for America. Nothing different. With the exception of Ron Paul. These idiots would make torture legal, can you believe that? I can’t believe these idiots that are dumb as a box of rocks think they can run this country. Thank God for President Obama and VP Biden. Oops Perry has never gotten a B+ in his whole low I.Q. life. Leave it to Mark-this-is-good-news-for-John-McCain-Halperin to give him his first passing grade.

  10. November 12, 2011 at 9:56 pm

I sent him a tweet saying that I’d give them all Fs in history, economics, and foreign policy because I’ve actually taught these subjects. Halperin’s grades are based on his gut feelings. The difference between his grades and mine is that mine are based on knowing the material and knowing that none of them have viable answers that will address any of the problems we face.

    • 51 HZ
      November 12, 2011 at 10:56 pm

And Majiir, we know that Halperin’s gut is all screwed up, because he doesn’t have the ‘guts’ to be a decent man and pick up the phone and apologize to the Leader of the Free World. (For that awful name calling that he allowed the entire world to hear) So much for his grading system.

I wish you could have him in your class, magiir. Now that would be justice for us. Sock it to him, majiir!!!!!HZ

I couldn’t watch any of this. Brezzydee, I admire you for watching all of you who did. You have stronger stomachs than I do. I can’t believe people will really vote for these people to be President of the United States and make the decisions that will touch everyones lives all over the world. What is wrong with people nowdays. I know that the msm is all bought, but do they really believe they want one of these people to be our President?

    • November 12, 2011 at 10:27 pm

I normally don’t watch, this is my first one. I normally get the highlights off the cable shows or from twitter LOL. But I’m a foreign policy wonk so I had to see the train wreak for myself. Now I know WHY I never watch. I had to keep telling myself, “shut your mouth girl” I could not believe their stupidity. And they want to run the free world.

I thought Huntsman was making sense until he said he would use the Paul Ryan budget as a format for his domestic policy. I said that’s it. I’m through LOL Now even if he get the nomination President Obama can beat him over the head for wanting to privatize Social Security and Medicare/Medicade. Don’t those people know cameras are running? Sad just sad.

There is a REASON that education is not a priority for them! If the masses are dumbed down to complete and utter stupidity…as IS the case from the sights and sounds of these audiences, then they have an easier time of this…don’t they? It has been their plan all along. They don’t LIKE smart…which is one reason they hate PBO. He is smarter than ALL of them put together…and they know it.

        • November 12, 2011 at 10:29 pm

You have absolutely nailed it, Desertflower. This is exactly why they work so hard to undermine education and put so little value on teachers. The dumber the American populace, the better for them.

I actually watched the whole debate and I’m astounding that any of these are GOP contenders.

    The GOP needs a “do-over”

Cain clearly showed that he has ZERO knowledge and should not even be on the playground.

Mankini is clearly intelligent, but HIGHLY warped – not a good combination for the person who would have control of the “Red Phone”

They are ALL bit players in a badly scripted play.

I read an article from an earlier blog that interviewed Newt’s second wife that chronologically listed his misdeeds. Of course the GOP doesn’t really care about family values or his broken promises. He said it doesn’t matter what I do just what I say you should do in other words. Voice family values don’t live by them. The Obama family is totally the opposite. They live their values.

I will be on the ground/phone/giving money to never have another “R” Governor in CA or in the WH. Next goal is never having a “R” majority in the House and Senate. This must never happen again.

America was dumber after watching that charade that passed for a GOP debate last night. These people really want to be CinC?.
My analysis of last night : generally speaking, the candidates fell into 3 broad categories – (1)Those who are completeley clueless about foreign policy/national security matters; (2)Those who know a smidgen, but have to lie to/mislead the audience by mischaracterizing this administrations policy positions, just for the cynical value and (3) The batshit crazy.

Group 1 : Cain, Perry and Santorum are way over their heads and showed no evidence they’ve ever spent any amount of time educating themselves on the issues.

Group 2 : Gingritch, Romney, Paul and Huntsman – the first 2 were just saying anything that will look like being on the opposite side of the President ; Paul was just being Paul!. Huntsman was mostley sane, until he mouthed a full-throated support for the Paul Ryan plan.

Group 3 : Bachmann, Perry (yes he has the dubious honor of being both dumb and crazy!….still wondering why Halperin gave him a B+) .

What lessons were learnt from this debate? :
    1. Now war-weary Americans know that these loons will start off another war (with Iran) without thinking of the consequences both home and abroad.
    2. Israel now knows on which side their bread is buttered (if they didn’t know before).

I know this wonderful place is not the place to be negative but Newt Gingrich’s wife looks like she’s been dug up!

  29. November 13, 2011 at 2:58 pm

I don’t usually make cracks about people’s faces, but that Gingrrich lady is not looking so good. The weird part is that she has hair and makeup people with her all the time. Can they really believe that hair style is atrractive? Brittle, cold, self indulged, the appearence on the outside is exactly what is on the inside.
