Abso-friggin-lutely. Rev Al was fantastic as a clone of himself. Every Ad with two Romneys stating different positions on the same issue would hit right in the kisser and pack a powerful punch. It would just reinforce over and over again for voters that Romney has no core.
Good Nite Chipsticks and have a restful night. Love you so much for your gifts to us each day. I am going to sit back with meds and read all the comments now. Love you so much Chips and family.HZ
Yes, he is COS. Rev. Al call it like it is. We will think and pray for him to be successful because we truly need his voice for our coming work for 2012. He is truly a gift in a beautiful manner.HZ
Okay, not being picky or a stickler or anything, but check out this video of Nicholas Sarkozy shaking hands with constituents. Look at his face and reaction after he’s done and while he’s greeting them. The video is third from the bottom entitled:
JP – Fatiguant, les bains de foule pour M. Sarkozy !
OMG . . . it seems as if it was a bother. . . That would NEVER be the attitude of our President! Thank you President Obama for being the people’s President!
Thx hf. How can I forget that day ? That was the day I quit smoking after a quarter century of a dirty habit. Of course, the other guy took longer than me to do that. 🙂
The only b-day present better than that would be the birth of a child or a wedding. Have a Happy, AMK. Thanks for all your great contributions to this community.
Happy Birthday Amk. I’m sure 51 looks like 21 on you. Have lots of fun, drink lots of whatever (tequila, margarita, vodka, beer, tequila, tequila, tequila——–> pick your poision), stuff your face full of cake, dance in a silly manner, and enjoy the day with friends and family. 😀
Happy Birthday Amk. Oh, you are going to have a beautiful one. That 50 plus is such a beautiful journey. Something so special about the feeling of it Amk. I want you to have so many, many more. A beautiful day for you tomorrow and all the joys that will come with it.HZ
My daughter and family in Ct. is still without power which they lost at 6:00 p.m. Sat. The estimated time for power to be restored to their area is 11:45 p.m. Sunday. This has been a real hardship on everyone there. No school, many businesses remain closed with no power, many streets are still impassable with down trees and power lines. Dem Gov. Malloy has been going on TV to say he is urging President Obama to upgrade their disaster to Category A so they can get more financial aid and help. Who would be making this decision with President Obama out of the country? The mayor of her town is planning to call up the Natl Guard to get some more help. They’re in the area of the state hardest hit. Lots of trees brought down lots of power lines. I don’t want everyone in Ct. mad at President Obama. I want to help them get help. I don’t understand why more isn’t being done.
I think the governor is the one that declares the “state of emergency” And then the governor’s office has to file the application for Federal (FEMA) assistance. That certainly can be done by the governor’s office. I hope the governor is not ‘grandstanding’…
Dot I hope the power is restored soon for your daughter and family. Living in Jamaica which has seen it’s fair share of hurricanes and having gone through a few that caused days of power outages I know it can be depressing, especially when darkness falls. I am sure if the President is aware of a desire for help and he can assist, no distance would prevent him offering that assistance.
Again, I hope the power is restored soon and life can get back to normal for all.

But, I hope your daughter, her family and other CT citizens receive more assistance, soon!
Will not forget this history making night. In Jamaica, all lights were on in my house and we were so excited. I flipped from one television coverage to another, there were debates about the future of America and the rest of the world. I did not go to my bed until 2:00 a.m. the morning, considering I had to get up at 4 a.m. to get ready for work.
I am again looking forward to November 2012 and I know I will not be disappointed.
Dotster3, I hope and pray that things will get better for your daughter and family. We will have to keep up our prayers and good thoughts. Do not give up, ok.HZ
I just told my husband that I think I’m going. RT Ryback (the mayor of Mpls) and Keith Ellison is going to speak. Anyone feel like going? Let me know! I’ll meet yez there 🙂 OFA_MN is celebrating their grand opening that day.
Otherwise. Long day folks. As usual keep the faith friends.
Thank you Chips for these wonderful videos. The President has accomplished so much. Just think how much more he and we could have accomplished had it not been for the Republicans obstruction and their attempt to make him fail.
Did anyone see Lawrence’s rewrite tonight about the repugs who did not sign the Norquist letter which was sent to the super committee? I was also surprised about his report on the NRA, by offering up the picture of the lady who took Cain’s place.
COS, I’m seeing a lot of pushback to the NRA on twitter with threats of boycotts to all their restaurants. They are going to regret they ever established an account. People don’t realize what they sign up for when it comes to social media. Heh.
TIME got an exclusive look at the poll, and in this week’s print issue, available online to subscribers, I have a story on its findings — specifically about the split that has developed between the so-called millennials, ages 30 and under, and the Silent Generation, ages 65 to 83. Testing a hypothetical matchup between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, Pew found that millennials prefer the President by 26 points, while Silent Generation members tilt to Romney by 10 points. It might seem intuitive that younger voters are more liberal. But in the 2000 and ’02 elections, the two groups voted almost identically. It wasn’t until 2006 and ’08 that a broad gap opened up — one that narrowed slightly in 2010, as young voters tacked right, but is now wider than it was even in ’08.
Chips, I hope you don’t mind, but this is part of the speech we mentioned when the President teared up talking about his grandmother who had recently passed.
I don’t even have the volume on and I couldn’t get through more than 20 seconds without tearing up myself. But I also just learned that an older relative of mine passed away. I hadn’t seen him in a while, and I had been having a nagging desire to visit him lately, but I didn’t. Always appreciate your family and friends, and listen to that small voice that tells you to reach out to them!
Speaking of tears- happy tears this time- one of my favorite videos from election night was the countdown in Grant Park. I saw several live reaction videos from around the world on YouTube in the days following election, and every time I watched them, I couldn’t help but burst into happy tears:
Oh em gee, Chips, as my granddaughter would say. Continuing to show us these videos will keep us working for President Obama well past the time he can constitutionally be re-elected! We’ll still be Fired Up after 2016!
Yes, Jacquelineboomer, this is so great by Chips. These are the songs of the great emotional energies that I feel as we commence into this journey of 2012.
Thanks so much, Chipsticks for keeping us focus and getting us ready to move on with our wonderful POTUS. I am crying, but with much joy. I am crying with pain because we worked so hard and won this victory, and the ugly losers are trying so hard to keep him from doing what he worked so hard to do. That is what hurts most.
However, we are FIGHTERS in this ARMY. We Do Not Quit!!! These help so much because he deserves for us to be singing as we do this hard lifting again. We will have VICTORY AGAIN in 2012.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy Birthday To All Who Are In Celebration Tomorrow. Enjoy your Day!!! Love you all,HZ
The 4th video makes me tear up every single damn time and my spines tingles. It’s crazy for the last couple of months I have been reading old stories about the 2008 elections.
I certainly had a full day here today; thanks to all who were here. Good night, everyone! Sweet dreams!
😉 Good morning Chips & TOD’ville!
May your Friday be filled with moments of joy and happiness, and may you be aware, yet not be upset by anything the right does/doesn’t do TODAY.

Amk, may the desires of your heart come to your door. Have a great day. I posted a Happy Birthday up front as well. I just like people to feel joyful, loving, and just experience all the beautiful things in their lives. May you have those beautiful things as they come each moment in your day tomorrow. Happy Birthday Amk. Lots of love and hugs to help you celebrate. HZ
Have u seen what huff n puff did to a photo of PBO? What the hell was the purpose of that? That dirty whore arianna is getting on my last fricking nerve!
Someone mentioned it here, and I tweeted them to remove it. Mentioned how “disrespectful and GOP-ish” it was! Of course, my tweet won’t have any effect, and it’ll bring more hits to their website, but did it anyway.
Grrrrrr.
The rage has been building up in me throughout the day, off and on … even with all the good things President Obama is doing abroad, there’s still this crap we have to put up with here. Good thing PBO is worth our support!!!!!!
This is such BS. The picture and the article have nothing to do with each other. All it shows is her pettiness and how much she hates him. God, that fucking bitch can’t get her just desserts soon enough for me.
I’m waiting for that, too. We don’t really have to wish bad things on these people, because they ALWAYS get theirs – just takes a while. Words cannot describe the disgust I feel for her.
Lisa and JB, you are correct. We do not have to wish for the bad things because the results will be justice. We may not know when or how, but the seeds of hatered and all of this evil that these people are sowing will come back to there door and break it down to live with them forever unless they come to a repentant heart and ask POB for forgiveness.
We may not see it, but trust me it will return to them. You can’t just keep hating on a person and not expect to receive due reward. I have had people to cast all kinds of evil toward me and some very dearest people in my life, but I have also seen it come back when I thought that I would not. And I mean it was plain as one could stand there and see.
So have hope and keep thinking good thoughts and you will see the repayments of these evil acts upon these people. It hurts like hell, but please lets hug each other tightly, lift each other up, and lift POB up daily. Also remember to continue to lift up our haven here because the enemy is really busy. But I have faith even in my most painful and crying hard days, I still will have hope. Okay. We will make it no matter how difficult because we have something SO special here. We just stand with each other.HZ
I refuse to give her the “hit” and won’t go to see it. This is just a small taste of what the next twelve months will be like. It will get very very very nasty and will hurt us as a country.
CONTINGENCY OPERATING BASE ADDER, Iraq – For many soldiers the end of their deployment is in sight as Operation New Dawn approaches end of mission.
Soldiers from Alpha Company, 3rd Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division from Fort Hood, Texas, packed their belongings and loaded them into a cargo container on Contingency Operating Base Adder, Oct. 28.
“Today, we’re laying out all of our bags that are all packed and ready to send home,” said Pfc. Devin Alderman, signal intelligence analyst, 3rd Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division, from Tampa, Fla.
Alderman arrived on COB Adder after he finished his advanced individual training, and he is looking forward to completing the mission here and returning to the states, he said. After a required customs inspection of their belongings, soldiers from the 3BSTB lined up side-by-side passing each bag along the line to pack the cargo container more efficiently.
As the packing continued, one soldier made last minute adjustments to his guitar before packing it away.
Loosening the strings on the guitar helps protect it from damage while it is stored away, said Chief Warrant Officer 2 Adrian Cabrera, intelligence fusion chief, Alpha Company, 3BSTB, 1st Cavalry Division, from Santa Monica, Calif.
“With all the time it’s going to spend in the container, if you ship it with the strings taught, then it could bend the fret board,” said Cabrera.
“With the little time that I have, it’s been something to do other than watching movies,” said Cabrera.
Although packing up equipment and personal gear is a lot of work, it is a welcoming chore for these soldiers because it means that they will soon be home.
“It’s been a long deployment,” said Cabrera. “This is my fourth deployment, so it feels really good to be going home.”
Each day more soldiers on COB Adder are waking up to the day they have been looking forward to for a long time, the day they go home.

WASHINGTON – The number of U.S. troops in Iraq has fallen to about 34,000, and only 12 American bases are still operating, Maj. Gen. Thomas Spoehr, deputy commanding general of U.S. Forces-Iraq, said Thursday.
While the number of bases has been falling steadily for months, dropping from around 45 in August, troop numbers have now begun to decline in earnest, decreasing by about 7,000 in the last three weeks.
The pace is likely to continue, with the “vast majority” of troops scheduled to be out of Iraq by mid-December, Spoehr said.
Under agreement with the government of Iraq, all U.S. troops must be withdrawn by Dec. 31. Negotiations to keep several thousand U.S. trainers in the country failed earlier this month over the issue of whether U.S. troops would be granted immunity.
Servicemembers are generally leaving on planes, Spoehr said, while equipment is being taken out by more than 1,600 trucks now ceaselessly on the move in convoys snaking across Iraq. Nearly three-fourths of the 2 million pieces of U.S. equipment that were due to be removed from Iraq have been taken out, he said.
The No. 1 priority in the operation is force protection, he said. Until recently, the U.S. had announced in advance which bases would close and transition to Iraqi control. Not anymore.
“Because unfortunately when we released details on base transition and which units would be leaving when, it’s our belief that the enemy used that information to target our servicemembers,” Spoehr said.
Even now, the convoys are regularly hit with IED attacks despite comprehensive operations to clear the roads in advance, he said.
Thank you so much for posting this link. This has to be one of the most scathing opinion pieces I have read about the disgrace that is the Republican Party. The GOP is imploding right before our eyes and it is a pitiful sight. I hope we see more and more criticism like this. Not that the GOP can be shamed or embarrassed, but the American people need to have this conversation and make their voices heard at the ballot box.
The GOP has rendered our government dysfunction and they are proud of it. The Republican Party is making a mockery of our democracy. The American people deserve better. We have to throw the bums out.
I just don’t get the twisted logic of the Republican Party. They have disdain for the American people and are vehemently anti-government. Exactly what is their platform for 2012? We sabotaged the economic recovery and refused to strike while the iron was hot. Vote for us. Political class clowns indeed. What a joke?
is newt the next chief clown in that wobbly car ? He is now in 3rd after kochcain and mittens. the other clowns now rule th single digit territory. Of course 68% of the repubs haven’t made up their ‘mind, or what they call as mind.
Thanks so much for these fabulous memories Ms Chips, I am sitting here weeping happy tears again.. such joy and hope in all the faces, so beautiful to see.
RAMADI, Iraq – Once known as a breeding ground for insurgents, terrorized by frequent bombings and assassinations, the Anbar province is now considered a shining example of the power of partnership. The cooperation between American Forces and the government of Iraq over the last five years has strengthened the area in many ways, the most prominent being in the capabilities and competence of the Iraqi Security Forces. The climax of that successful alliance has finally come, as the Iraqi government begins accepting responsibility for installations throughout the province from the 82nd Airborne Division’s 2nd Brigade.
Capt. Bradford Gaddy, commander of the Falcon Brigade’s B Co., 1st Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, signed over responsibility of the Anbar Operations Center and the Anbar Police Directorate to the government of Iraq, Oct. 30. This historic event signified the completion of U.S. forces’ role in the province and their confidence in the ISF to protect their home without U.S. assistance. In 2006, the government of Iraq and the people of Anbar began working with coalition forces to go on the offensive against al-Qaeda. The ‘Awakening’, the collaboration of tribal leaders, citizens and U.S. forces against the terrorist network initiated the development of the Iraqi police. However, the IPs and the Iraqi army lacked the means necessary to fight against such an organized and well-armed terrorist group.
I love this!! Thanks for posting this clips, soooo exciting even now. I live in Charlotte and have signed up to volunteer for the convention…I’ll PICK UP THE TRASH!!
I JUST HAVE TO BE IN THE HOUSE!!
Ran into a lady who works for a large energy company on a plane down here scouting locations for her company to hold events…she told me, it’s going to be soooo exciting! She goes, “You won’t BELIEVE the amount of people that are going to just converge on your city!!”
I’M SOOO EXCITED!!! (did I say that already???!! ) LOL!!
Europe wants to increase IMF resources, meaning US help.
Ya right! Good one- this President asking congress to bailout Europe- whatever.
Ugh.
Jobs report next!
It would be good if somone (techie type) put these together in one clip so we can all remember what we fougt for, how we felt about that night, and what we have to loose if we don’t go out and fight for the next 11 months.
We’ve come to far to give up now. Let’s put on our boots and start marching.
Thanks for this great post. I LOVE your blog. I will remember that night for the rest of my life. My president is black ;). He has done great things in the face of unparalleled opposition. I am proud of him for keeping the pressure on and never giving up.
I am crying tears of sorry! We have fallen so far. Those cheering people went home and sat down now they are sitting OWS! Their actions then, not voting in 2010 coupled with republican obstruction was horrendous. Worse, they still don’t get it . They want/need to be victims. I am sickened when I look at PBO’s young face and black hair then and look at him now. It did not have to be this way. My soul is sick for him and us.
I think Rev. Al gave the DNC/Obama Campaign a terrific idea for the next set of Mitt Romney ads.
Hire TWINS, and have them say,
I AM MITT ROMNEY’S REAL POSITION.
do it for every issue.
BWAHAHAHAHAHA. Great IDEA!! FABULOUS!!! On every single issue where he has taken both side.
And that would be “All of ’em, Katie!!!” 😆 😆
Abso-friggin-lutely. Rev Al was fantastic as a clone of himself. Every Ad with two Romneys stating different positions on the same issue would hit right in the kisser and pack a powerful punch. It would just reinforce over and over again for voters that Romney has no core.

That is something to behold. May he get better at adjusting his attitude. So people just do not have the touch. Grateful for our POTUS, for sure.HZ
Love, Love, Love Nancy Keenan on Lawrence. . .
I loved her. She gave PBO a full endorsement. We need more people like her on TV.
Good night Chipsticks!
Chips, it seems as if it is four years, but I think its the third anniversary!
He had done so much in such a short time.

That last video – OMG. Incredible.
I love it that PBO got elected on my b’day. Shows the why of my partiality towards him. 🙂

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% – Happy 51st to Amk! – %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
@@@@@@@@@@ – Happy 50th to Claire! – @@@@@@@@@@@@@
May you both enjoy many more years with family and friends!
I’m going to sleep now (I hope).
Thanks vc . Of course I would have preferred $$$$ signs. 🙂
HZ
Thank you again HZ. You’re so sweet.
Not sure if this has been posted here today, but it’s called, “Pat Buchanan’s Worst Moments on MSNBC.” Just saw it on Twitter.
Would you join me in tweeting this multiple times to @msnbc, with another request for his TERMINATION?

GREAT summation about the RWNJs:
Political Class Clowns

Good morning meta.

Good morning everybody and Happy November 4th!!!!:)
He’s got this:
Thanks so much for these fabulous memories Ms Chips, I am sitting here weeping happy tears again.. such joy and hope in all the faces, so beautiful to see.
Of particular concern to the White House are the measures contained in the House GOP bill on labor, health and education, which one administration official described to me as a “microcosm” of budget tactics that Democrats find unacceptable. “This is so far from being the kind of bill that Republicans agreed to and the president signed last August,” an administration official expanded, describing spending cuts that would dismantle federal health reform, Dodd-Frank, Pell Grants, and other top Democratic priorities. “They kind of want to replay this very high-risk game.”

Hint- this is what the republicans want- to slow down the economy and make investors nervous.
Good morning,
A happy, happy birthday to Amk and to Claire. Many blessings to each of you. Have a wonderful day.
Second that, Mae. An extra special blessed day to them and a blessed day to all the family here. 🙂

Ugh.
Jobs report next!
102k private jobs created drops to 9%.
Just Ok…
Also, 102k higher revision for august and September jobs- which is why it ticked down!
September revision at 198k private jobs… Not bad, looks like October will revise upward as well…
Thanks Chips…it was like someone threw cold water into my face. I sat here weeping …again…and I’m ready to continue the fight. He’s STILL THE ONE!
Them videos. Ain’t no point in making a grown man cry at work, Chips.
