ThinkProgress: After canceling a speech on income inequality last week at the University of Pennsylvania after learning it would be open to the public, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor spoke today at the University of Michigan. It was clear why he had avoided the public previously, as 99 Percent Movement protesters stood silently during the speech while other audience members responded vocally to Cantor’s statements.

WTF is wrong with these people. . .

That is also against the law–
Now am upset.
This is real sick. I hope someone gets in real trouble for this.
There are so many Republicans that are so sick, mentally and emotionally. How anyone could think that email was ok is unimaginable. And it was an email to invite people to bring their kids to a parade!!! What is wrong with these people? They are so full of hate. Beyond disgusting.
This is deplorable…..and IMO an apology doesn’t make it all good!
bastards
Those were some great moments. I do not envision this with these critters running today.
Mittens getup is SCARY . . . I would run away if I see this on Halloween. . .

Cain is not without his defenders
By Steve Benen
Right Wing Watch rounds up some of the higher-profile defenses Herman Cain has received today in light of his sexual harassment allegations, but it was Rush Limbaugh’s tirade that stood out for me.
As Limbaugh sees it, the media is racist. There was no evidence he was kidding.
“You know, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, folks. After all of these years, none of us should be surprised, but I still am. Look at how quickly what is known as the mainstream media goes for the ugliest racial stereotypes they can to attack a black conservative. […]
“What’s next, folks? A cartoon on MSNBC showing Herman Cain with huge lips eating a watermelon? What are they gonna do next? No, Snerdley, I’m not kidding. The racial stereotypes that these people are using to go after Herman Cain, what is the one thing that it tells us? It tells us who the real racists are, yeah, but it tells us that Herman Cain is somebody.”
A couple of things. First, if we want to know “who the real racists are” in media, we’d start with Rush Limbaugh.
Second, the Cain campaign isn’t even denying the basic premise of the Politico article that Limbaugh is so worked up about. The piece said Cain was accused of sexual harassment; Cain has said he was accused of sexual harassment. The piece said Cain’s accusers left after a financial settlement, and the campaign isn’t disputing this, either. So what is it, exactly, that the “mainstream media” has done to offend?
And third, I’ll concede that I don’t generally keep up on what bigots are saying about various groups, but there’s a “racial stereotype” that African-American men in the workplace sexually harass their female employees? Since when?
What on earth is Limbaugh talking about?
http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/political-animal/2011_10/cain_is_not_without_his_defend033196.php
How soon they forget about the smear that the Obama’s would put watermelons on the White House lawn.
Cain is getting just what he deserves.
Think things through before jumping into the Big Boy’s Pool…….Jaws could be lurking…….
Agreed. Cain is a buckin, shuckin carnival act, and a distraction. ROMNEY’s trying to lay low. We need to keep at him.
Islamabad, Pakistan (CNN) — A suspected U.S. drone strike in Pakistan’s tribal region killed two suspected militants on Monday, intelligence officials told CNN.
The suspected drone fired two missiles on a vehicle in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, two Pakistani intelligence officials said. North Waziristan is one of the seven districts of Pakistan’s volatile tribal region bordering Afghanistan.
The intelligence officials asked not to be named because they were not authorized to speak to the media.
Based on a count by the CNN Islamabad bureau, Monday’s suspected drone strike was the 59th this year, compared to 111 in all of 2010.
Hello Jovie, this is Ron Paul here to tell you that this makes no sense to me. It’s time to bring all the troops and drones home yesterday. More government efforts should be spent legalizing Mary Jane and cutting big government by half. Our big spender-in-chief needs to direct federal monies at reducing the size of government. The more money we spend reducing government, the better we’ll be. When I get elected, the first thing I will do is to appoint a committee of weed czars, and a committee of czars to work on cutting government in half. Then I will appoint a 3rd set of czars to bring the troops & drones home before day 1.
Love,
Paul
Dead! You are killing me, Ron Paul!!!!
Oh Rep. Ron Paul. Jane Hamsher here. You are a true American hero. Ron Paul 2012!!!! Ron Paul 2012!!!!. You realize that all Americans need to be doped up. That’s the way our founding fathers wanted us to live. Weed is good to live a happy and productive life. Thank you for making the legalization of weed your #1 priority. America will be the envy of the world. America will be the most productive nation in the world. America will once again be America! Weed! Weed! Weed! Weed! Weed! Weed! *Goes into fits of ecstasy with her bong apparatus*
Jane Hamster: Rep Ron Paul have you considered becoming a democrate like our friends Cenk, Arianna, Kos? You are already loved by the young PL’s and some of the 99%’ers. Think about it and get back to me.
Peggy Noonan here. President Reaguyn would have welcomed Ron Paul. He is a hero. And Jane, it is good to see that your fundraising effort is taking off wonderfully. How’s your collaboration with Grover Norquist? Jane, it’s about time, progressives like you stick it to Obama and let him know that he is no Ronald Reagan.
Oh, by the way, you know that Ronald Raygun deserves his bust on Mount Rushmore, right?
Hey – Herman Cain here. If you’re not high, it’s your own fault.
You’re killing me, Herb!
gasping …..laughing….omg
RON PAUL for Presdident 2012! We need to get the government out of our business. I own a restuarant in anywhere USA and I reserve the rigt to refuse service to anyone regarding their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation and religion.
We also do not want food or health (sanitary) inspections in our restaurants or minimum wage laws for our employees..
Lol!!!
Human Banner. . . Tax the 1%

(Mitch McConnell) I have to return to my constituency for the next little while to remind them of my determination to make Barack Obama a one-time president . I’ll see you on my return.
That Eric cantor News really made my day, this little weasel is getting it from the 99%. finally PBO’s calls to hold these GOP KOCHMAFIA accountable is paying off. I will see if Rev Al will air the video on his how.
The White House releases President Obama’s new medical exam. He is 181.3 pounds, tobacco free and “fit for duty,” WH Dr. says.
YES, I’d say he is!!
President’s doctor declares 10-year coronary heart disease risk is just 2%. Cholesterol had risen to 209 in Feb 2010 but is down to 193.
His blood pressure is also really moderate – how does he do it with all this stress? He’s very grounded and entirely capable to handle this office.
Yess! our man is so fit!
and oh sooooooooo f-i-o-n-e – live long and strong PBO!!!
Fit for duty? Hey, we knew that already:
Chip what are you trying to do to us girls? I’m trying to get my work done here, I can’t afford to salivate at my President’s sexy body. 😆
Seriously, Chips! we’ve already overindulged in too many cookies and candies, now you’re trying to over saturate us with PBOs yummie cho-co-late goodness too? Arg! It’s too much, I’m about to pop!
All that good WH chef’s cooking…plus those occasional stops at restaurants like Roscoes.
Yum yum. Fit for office.
meta, see Michelle is taking care of her man.
Shoot, FLOTUS could have tole us POTUS was “fit for duty”. 😀
When on earth did he find time to go to a physical last week? He declared an end to the war in Iraq, travelled for three days and several events, raised millions of dollars, hosted events at the White House, appeared on the Jay Leno show, started the “we can’t wait” campaign, and then handed out candy and appeared at the anniversary event for the Italian community. Plus, I believe he got a couple more terrorists in the middle of all of that. Now, we hear he got a physical, too! How does he do it?
Uh, I think the Doctor Is In (the White House)! Probably didn’t have to go far, but you are so right about everything he packs into one little ol’ week.
I’m just me not a character. I’m too behind the threads to be assigned. Watching CM but felt like turning it off with all the PBO bashing going on. I heard a new one today and felt it matched the post on how much PBO is getting done each day. CM criticized PBO for not dining and drinking with his fellow politicians to get them to help support him and his policies. I feel he is fitting being a father and husband into his schedule as well as doing more in a day than most presidents. I don’t think GW did that much dining and drinking with his political compatriots either. CM had all kinds of needed improvements listed.
Congress people are paid to do jobs on behalf of the people of the United States. They shouldn’t also need to be wined and dined to do that job. They can’t use that as an excuse for their inaction over these past 2.5 years to rescue and recover the economy, or for making defeating President Obama their number one priority. They are people who are paid to do a job and they’ve refused to do it. And they’re only planning to work six days in January – is that because President Obama has refused to dine with them? Chris Matthews needs to wake up. And he also needs to explain why President Obama should dine and wine with people who use ugly, racist language and show no respect to President Obama and the Office of the Presidency.
Amazing Isn’t It???? 🙂
Hiya TOD (taking a break from the dark hole that is Jane Hamsher’s mind———-> It’s full of horrors; I tells ya)
Tonight on PBS is the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. It will be presented to Will Ferrell. A HUGE President Obama supporter. The show comes on at 9PM ET/ 8PM CT. Last year’s recipient Tina Fey’s presentation was hilarious. Tonight will not disappoint. Let’s show Will some love because he is F-U-N-N-Y! Old School anyone? Anchorman? Elf? Megamind?
Thanks so much for the heads up UT. I’ll be tuning in.
Thanks for the heads up. Will DVR this show. We need all the laughs we can get. Thanks Chips for this wonderful site.
I agree with those on twitter who are saying that Tweety is trying to sell his book at the expense of Obama and it’s disgusting. Tweet and Fineman and Barnicle were nauseating in their criticism of Obama. I agree that more Dems should be out there defending Obama and his policies, but Tweety was ridiculous in saying that Obama has no political skills, he’s not schmoozing and getting people to like him, that Dems respect him as president, but no one likes him. It was really gross.
Tweety sounds like he’s in high school….his kids should be ashamed of him to repeat crap from congress who has 9% approval rating.
Tweety is projecting his own disappointment and hurt feelings that the President can’t be bothered with ‘insider’s circle’ in DC. Poor Chris, his feelings are so hurt, his ego so deflated.
No political skills….that could be considered for “Lie of the Year”……….pathetic.
I’m so sick of that freak. Wish he’d just choke on his rancid spittle.
(Tweety) Hey! I’m trying to SELL A BOOK HERE! Free market principles hard at work. If I have to cause a stink by ragging on this President, then I guess that’s what I’ll have to do! I’m the 1% and this President wants to take my hard earned money away from me…I NEED to sell a lot of copies. In fact, I’ll let anyone else that has a book to sell, on my program to hawk their book, too! Whiny Obama lovers.I know I said that the mere fact that he got elected and sits in the White House as the most powerful man in the world, is American Exceptionalism, but that was BEFORE I realized that I needed to USE him to create some controversy! Keep up, will you! Boring, good news DOES NOT get viewers to tune in, nor does it allow me to SELL MY BOOK. I’m starving here! GIve me a break….Howard, you have a new book coming out? Gene? Ron? It’s the new rules that corp….um, I just think it’s better this way.Fineman, give me some love here….it’s all working better if we bash the President, right? Everyone else is on the bandwagon….done too many good things. He’s tireless…but that so boring….(realizes that there is a small pond of spit on the table soaking his $200 shirt)
Starving?!!!! Really Tweety?!! Really?!! I guess one man’s filet mignon is another man’s regurgitated hamburger particles found in a trash can. You should be ashamed of yourself Tweety, but then again, I figure you’d probably sell your soul to afford to keep that young hot wife of yours from running off with a younger, hot— can’t say hotter cause that would somehow imply that you are even moderately good looking- and buffer man than you. Won’t work Tweedle Di.
What can I say. We’re used to a certain kind of life style. It’s DC…got to keep up.
Oh yea….went after him big time on twitter, since the weekend when his Obama bash-fest started. He’s getting hammered!.
Yes, I told him a few things. Tired of Tweety. Desertflower, you are great. The words that you used sounds just like Tweety. Thanks for the laughter. Great job.HZ
Don’t forget, they want him to take a page from Kennedy, be more like him, and also SuCK up to the media. You know, be more friendly. what an AZZ. Why doesn’t Chris run for president, I’m sure he and fineman would do all they say. hiiiiiiiisssssssss! He was right in saying where are the others in the DEM party supporting the policies to help people? or are they going to ride on his coattails agan?
Politico 44- Fabio is mad at Obama.
What does that have to do with anything?
Why and who is peddling this nonsense? I know PBO is losing sleep over Fabio already. Hilarious!!!!
My thoughts exactly!
Fabio the washed up model?
If you got to politico 44- I guess Fabio is very critical of the President…
So what?
Man alive.
Fabiola hasn’t been relative since before I was born. Why’s he suddenly coming out of the wood works?
Ps- my auto spell check is awesome. I wrote his name correctly and it changed it. Thank you Mr. Jobs 🙂
Lisiola – 🙂 – Wasn’t Fabio at the Italian American event the other night? Think the Prez even waved to him.
He was there? Had no clue, but the question still remains: who died and made Fabiola relevant?
Ps- thank you auto correct 🙂
Who’s Fabio?
Uche, I think——– no, no——–I KNOW that I love you. 🙂 Fabiola was a model from the 1700s who was so famous or he became famous: don’t know which came first: the chicken or the egg— that he graced the covers of Bodice rippers in the 80s? 90s? Not sure. Came across a few of them in my aunts closet when I was 12. But by that time she’d become born again and stopped reading them . I think she gave them away or sent them to the thrift store. Good grief, in was century was Fabiola considered hot enough to grace the covers of romance novels? :bleah:
Why is that washed up has been mad at President Obama? And I’m sure Obama don’t give a darn.
WH here- can somebody tell Tweety to stfu?
(Tweety) Have your people call MY people!
Back in the 80’s he earned a substantive living posing for the covers of many romantic bodis ripping book covers. Shirtless and blonde hair blowing in the breeze. {{{Oh Fabio}}
Funny I was a big period romance reader but I dont’t think I ever got a Fabio book. Anybody know what author(s) he appeared on the cover for most? Come on now, fess up…
Ok not Fabio, but I loved me some Rosemary Rogers- Ginny and Steve, or Kathleen E Woodiwiss-“The Flame and the Flower, “The Wolf and the Dove”. “Shannon”
OMG, I remember reading those books.
Why? he is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.
Rev. Al. . . Is Willard the Flipper or the Flopper?
Rev al talks exactly what the WH talking points are. It’s wonderful!
Rev al brought his twin on the show and they are taking down Flip Flopper Mitt 🙂 awesome!!!
Loved it, Lisalovesobama. ! Rev. was pumping it today. You go, Rev. Al.HZ
House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.), met by an organized protest before his planned speech on economics at the University of Michigan Monday, criticized demonstrators for showing “ire and hatred.”
“To me if you’ve got a problem you ought to go about trying to fix it in a constructive manner,” Cantor said, according to local news site AnnArbor.com.
The protesters, many part of the local Occupy Ann Arbor movement, confronted Cantor ahead of his speaking engagement hosted by the university’s Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy.
The demonstration was staged as a “Funeral for the Middle Class,” with many protesters holding signs shaped like tombstones.
Cantor says “To me if you’ve got a problem you ought to go about trying to fix it in a constructive manner” ???
Like calling people with a problem aka cause (OWS) “a mob”?
Cantor has to be on record somewhere cheerleading the Healthcare Townhall disruptions. We just have to footage of it.
Chipsticks please please PLEASE!!! get the video of Rev Al’s Politics Nation 10/31/2011 (Today) segment on Willard Mitt Romney when it becomes available. Rev Al is EVISCERATING him. This is a must see for every TOD person. Rev Al has a clone of himself on the show to highlight how Romney flip flops every second on every issue. It’s friggin BRILLIANT! I can’t wait for 2012. Thank the heavens Rev is on PBO’s side. I would not want to be on his bad side.
I heard Randi Rhodes lamenting that Rev Al got a show before her. I like Randi, but there’s no need for her to disrespect Rev Al. Ever since she started sucking up to Dylan Ratigan (she admitted today that he basically did squat with all the signatures for the “get the money out” campaign that she helped him with – it died after it was squeezed of all PR value), and Cenk – I’m beginning to think I might have to give her a break for a while. I was really disappointed in her comments. Rev Al might not be her cup of tea, but he’s done more tangible stuff for people than she has, he’s never said anything negative about her (that I know of), he’s doing his best and getting better every day, and he’s not harming anyone. To praise Dylan and Cenk, and then make disparaging remarks about Rev Al is pretty low.
Pl= jealousy!
I gave her up when she praised Cenk………you are either a supporter of the President or you’re not, if you praise someone who have been bashing the President from day 1, you’re not worth my time.
What’s her problem with Rev. Al anyway? He’s fantastic.
I also heard Stephanie Miller and her sidekicks making fun of Rev. AL when he first got his show. The said he talked to loud. I think there is some hidden resentent lurking.
Correction, “they” and “resentment”.
Yeah – I do think there’s resentment. He got a show on TV, where the big bucks are. I think they think he hasn’t paid his dues. They’ve been doing this radio gig for years, and keep getting asked to turn into Republicans where the money is, and when they say no in order to continue to support progressives, they get jealous when they hear of someone else making it.
As far as I’m concerned, Rev Al fights for President Obama – and that means his ok in my book. Period.
I’m missing everything! I’ve been at the door giving candies for the past 15 minutes.
It’s quiet now. I can’t wait to see Rev and his twin lol….I love him.
Yep, the Rev Al, did a job on the Williard today, but great examples, crystal clear what the Williard Is all about. Funny really 🙂
LMAO
I have a question, where is Reggie? I haven’t seem him in forever.
I can tell you right now, I am not looking forward to the presidential debates. Watching them in 2008 was completely nerve wracking. Our media has gotten worse and even dumber since then and I can’t imagine what kind of nonsense they have in store now.
I will never forget the last campaign. By the time we hit the general election, I just didn’t think I could hear anymore hate, but I did. Then, silly me, I thought once our President was elected, all that garbage would stop, but it didn’t. Now, here we are again. Just when I think it couldn’t get any lower or anymore evil, we have a whole host of incompetent Presidential hopefuls in the Republican Party, and emails that are unspeakable. PRESSON folks because we always survive it and it is well worth coming through the trenches to the President’s re-election. God Bless our President.
I watched the third one for about 40 minutes. John McCain disgusts me so much, I couldn’t tough it out. What a sniveling, nasty, prevaricating piece of work.
You mean “That One”?
Shudders.
Jackie….when McCain started to defend Sarah Palin as being a reformer and qualified to step into the shoes of the Presidency if necessary……..that was a bridge to far, my stomach literally started churning.
I do remember how nerve racking those debates were, especially the moments leading up to them…..I’m such a nervous Nellie.
And our remarkable President wiped the floor with McCain every single time 😀
Those were the days, Sue. I felt like screaming and actually did in the privacy of my home. I did not like McCain as my Senator, but loved the way our President just cleaned his clock. I do not miss Sarah Palins screaching.
Hi gobrookly, by the grace of God we all will be right here to hold each other up. We have had a taste of grace by having our man in the Oval Office, so with his intelligence, fact, stats of what has been accomplished during his first term, we will get through it.
With this army, we can handle it all with POB at the helm. Do not worry. We will get nervous, but we know we will prevail. So remember, you will not be alone. We need to stock up on the following:
1. Good thoughts
2. Pray as you so desire
3. Stay focus
4. Stock up on candles(cold months)
5. Stock up on your choice of a good white or red wine
6. Lots of chocolate and nuts
7. Protection of the vocal chords
8. Great music on your iPod/phone,/computer
9. Stock up on great videos that got us through 2008
10. Be Ready for A Victory.
Then we are going to shout, sing, pray, medidate, party, party, party with gratefulness. It is onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!HZ
Tell it Sister HZ !
I hear you – it’s very hard to argue with a fool. There’s that saying “never argue with a fool – people won’t know the difference”. This weak opposition is not worthy to debate President Obama. And with their even weaker-minded audience, they won’t actually be able to discern the exemplary nature of this President.
Hi, liberals. Marco Rubio here (perhaps the last time today, since even I am bored with myself!).
I’m so honored that on “BrainyQuotes,” somebody remembered I once said this:
“You cannot do anything without God.It’s a profound and elemental truth. Not, you cannot do most things without God. You will not be able to do anything that you want, truly, in fulfillment, without God.”
It doesn’t make sense at this point – even to me – so I guess all I can say in closing is: “God help me!”
Yeah – It’s hard to keep thinking like a GOP fool, especially since they tend to turn everything around and spout lie after lie.. They really are pretty weak characters. I don’t blame you for getting bored – especially with Rubio. He’s been built up as a tool for the GOP to get the Latino vote, and yet he’s done nothing for the Latino people – and in fact, has actively worked against the causes that they love. Now, he’s lied to their faces, and continues to extend that lie.
And I dislike Rubio more for taking down old Republican Charlie Crist in Florida, whose only sin was warmly greeting President Obama in the state … oh, and not hurting teachers.
Makes ya wanna wash your hands!

Halloween at the White House
i combined 2 videos and a short article about Halloween at the WH. I know it happened Saturday but today most folks are celebrating.
http://www.whatisworking.com/2011/10/halloween-at-white-house.html
Thank you!
Thank you for the videos, *WIW*, I enjoyed watching 🙂
Poor Herb Cain. I see on Rev. Al he’s starting to remember more details, He’s gone from no recollection of harassment, to hazy recollection of some kind of measly settlement, and now he’s remembering big settlement demands and ended up settling for a termination type settlement—–with a little church music thrown in for your added pleasure. Yikes!
Plus Cain sang an Amazing Grace type song at the National Press Club today, at their request. Guess he calls that pulling out all the stops.
I thought people were joking about the singing – I couldn’t watch the video from work. Did he really sing at the press conference? Oh heavens… They weren’t joking when they said “you’ve never seen a candidate like Herman Cain”!
Yes! It was awkward to say the least.
He also added more to the “non-story” about his not being – ehvah – a sexual harasser. Oh, okay, we believe you, Herb.
Yeah, he was pleading guilty and forgiveness when he sang “looked beyond my faults and saw my needs”
What does that tell you?
This whole crew of Repub candidates is one for the books. This gaggle is like one assembled by a movie director for a hilarious political comedy movie. They are all so ripe for ridicule.
It was just like the scene in Roots the Next Generations when Paul Winfield’s character sang at request.
WOW, is this ART imitating LIFE or LIFE imitating ART….I can’t tell with these GOP candidates, they just don’t seem real. SNL couldn’t write this stuff and put it on air because someone would say it was too over-the-top.
Lol, too funny, *dotster*
Since there seem to be several stories about Occupy today, I wanted to bring back this link on a video where the LA occupy folks go after Rupert Murdoch, great costumes that look like the old guy.
Fox News Shareholder Meeting in LA Gets Occupied
http://www.whatisworking.com/2011/10/fox-news-shareholder-meeting-in-la-gets.html
This is what piers Morgan just said to 50 cent-
I work out in da club too…
Oh wow……Someone needs to slap Piers Morgan something silly.
Hey Guys guess what I found..the race card in Laura Ingram’s pockets
From her show today
Doesn’t all this sound familiar?” she said on her radio show. “A black man who thinks for himself, who ends up surprising everyone, including the establishment, who ends up a point ahead of the guy who has raised millions and millions and millions of dollars, and has been running for president for the last five, six years. This upstart guy ends up a point ahead of Romney in Iowa…He needs to be put in his place, a lot of people think. Time to put this man in, hate to say it, the back of the bus.”
So offensive. Herman Cain is NOTHING like the man she’s trying to compare him to. He doesn’t even know what countries the US is doing critical business with and mocks the idea of actually expecting the President to know something about the policies he’s making decisions on. Substance matters. Capabilities matter. Intelligence and good judgement matter.
I should add some context- She was probably talking about Clarence Thomas-she actually clerked for him the 90s.Either way, less than 24 hours after the story broke- Her, Rushbo, Ann Coulter, and the lot are calling it racism.
I just find that oh,so, amusing giving the person who currently lives at 1600 Pennsylvanian av has actually experienced racism. A taste of the last three years :
Watermelon fields drawn in front of the White house.
Having your wife of nearly 20 years called a Baby Momma
Having a party with barely 3 black people amongst hundreds of others called a Hip Hop BBQ
And poor ol Herb makes some offensive language he owned up to and THAT’s racism. Never thought I would see the day when THE MAN complains about THE MAN.
Thanks for the context – I detest these people!
And may I add, Character matters!
Cain is a SHUFFLIN’ and JIGGLING’ fool.
he’s an A-B-C for real
chris mathews is a confirmed blow hard the President needs to “do more to get people involved” WTH is he talking about ?? why oh why did i tune in for the last 5 mins ..huge waste of time.”.wanna be” serious political news commenter peddling his book ..why the need to continue to bash President Obama..at every turn the president has asked americans to get involved to help in your communities..clearly leading by example..he asked citizens to contact their congressional leaders in an effort to pass healthcare and the job’s bill ..PLEASE PLEASE STOP WITH THE LIES in an attempt to say the president could work just alittle bit harder..this has got to be the hardest working president in this century..are u freaking kidding me @#!@#$b urrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
He got massive pushback on twitter. I was proud to be part of that pushback. He was denigrating PBO and his accomplishments by saying that PBO could learn so much from JFK and he would be a better President. Then he compared himself and Howard Fineman to JFK. I was like are you effing kidding me? PBO is supposedly not equal to PBO but Tweety(Chris) and Fineman are? Gimme a break. He was disgusting. He kept pleading with his guests to please tell everyone about his piece of trash book and he kept pleading with consumers to buy his book. He just lost a whole segment of people who would have bought his book but are now put off by his needless Obama bashing just to sell a book.
Excuse my language on Halloween, in front of the kiddies, but Chris turns out to be a sorry-a$$ed excuse for a human being.
Yeah, Chris Matthews Is sickening 😦
This is true. Even in front of the kiddies.
Been watching Tweety all weekend. His Sunday show was all about plugging his book, licking JFK’s azz,, and thinking he can teach the “lil boy” in the white house a thing or two. Ummm Tweety, don’t look now, but that book of yours is already in the 50 cents bin at the Dollar Store!
(Tweety) Did you see the comment I made? For crying out loud…I HAVE A BOOK TO SELL! Look, I’ll be honest. The Republicans are nothing but batshit crazy. Seriously. We need to be alittle “fair and balanced” around here. How would it be if I used my head and the facts? That would be BORING! People want a horserace, they want some excitement.I can ignore all the good things that PBO has done, I know….my lack of honesty and integrity is showing, but hey, I DON’T CARE! Facts are for pussies.Fineman really thinks that way,but me, I tell you…I kind of vasilate back and forth….my opinion is fluid. And right now…bashing Obama sells…doesn’t matter if what I say is true or not…it pulls in viewers and that works for me! Oh, you Obama lovers are burning up Twitter…but I got you going, didn’t I? See? Viewers!
It’s all about the benjamins. Remember that.

‘Cause he’s either lyin’ his ass off or he’s more ignorant than a sack of crap.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) brandished a giant cartoon from the Senate floor on Monday afternoon that depicted men attired in ostentatious “rich people” clothing, that he said reminded him of “what is going on with Senate Republicans.”
“The pictures portrayed here of course are caricatures of very rich people, top hats, vests cigars, but for me this does not portray people as rich as much as what is going on with our Republican colleagues,” said Reid.
The majority leader went on to say that he thought some scrutiny ought be to directed at Republicans in the Senate “because Republicans around the country don’t agree, don’t agree that things are just fine.”
The Senate adjourned Monday night at 6:26 p.m. after confirming Stephen Higginson to serve on the fifth circuit court by a vote of 88-0.

LOL
Gotta admit Chips, Mittens is looking muy caliente with those fishnet stockings, garters and bikini bottoms, YUM! No wonder I gave him my support in running for president: Baby Got Back! Dayum! Yeah, boooooy!!! Instead of Hail ToThe Chief, in the alternate universe where Mittens becomes president, this will be his theme song:
Ps- Bubble Butt Boy has NJ’s vote cause if there’s one thing we really love it’s big butts and we cannot lie, you other states can deny, but when a candidate gets in your face twirling that big booty you get sprung!
Oh, sorry. Excuse me. It’s $250 million Mitt we are talking about here. Sorry, let me class it up:
THE DEPRAVITY OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY KNOWS NO BOUNDS
The GOP says the Recovery Act didn’t work but they are the first ones to line up at the trough for their share. And thanks to Daniel Stone at the Daily Beast, you can read the letters they wrote requesting those funds for the Recovery Act that they say did nothing to stimulate stimulate the economy. This is just breathtaking hypocrisy. Of course, this needs to be tweeted far and wide. Rev Al just covered this on his show.
THE TEA PARTY PORK BINGE
by Daniel Stone
They brought the nation to the brink of default over spending, but a Newsweek investigation shows Tea Party lawmakers grabbing billions from the government trough. Plus, view the letters submitted by the ‘Dirty Dozen.’
===========================================
House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, the Republican leadership’s tether to the Tea Party, flutters the hearts of the government-bashing, budget-slicing faithful with his relentless attacks on runaway federal spending. To Cantor, an $8 billion high-speed rail connecting Las Vegas to Disneyland is wasteful “pork-barrel spending.” The Virginia Republican set up the “You Cut” Web site to demonstrate how easy it is to slash government programs. And he made the Department of Housing and Urban Development the poster child for waste when he disclosed that the agency was paying for housing for Ph.D.s.
But away from the cameras, Cantor sometimes pulls right up to the spending trough, including the very stimulus law he panned in public. Letters obtained by Newsweek show him pressing the Transportation Department to spend nearly $3 billion in stimulus money on a high-speed-rail project—not the one he derided in Nevada, but another in his home state. “Virginia … will demonstrate that this historic investment in rail will create jobs, reduce congestion, spur economic growth and improve our environment,” says a letter he signed with other Virginia members in October 2009, cribbing President Obama’s own argument for the stimulus.
Cantor signed several such letters, including an earlier one seeking rail funds a month after he went on national television attacking the Vegas project. He also signed a letter in October 2009 seeking $60 million to build commercial ships, some likely along Virginia’s coastline. As for his bashing of HUD, until last year he owned as much as $50,000 in preferred stock in a real-estate company that receives federal housing assistance from the department.
As the government showdown over debt continues—the so-called congressional supercommittee negotiating cuts has been floundering for weeks—Newsweek found about five dozen of the most fiscally conservative Republicans, from Tea Party freshmen like Allen West to anti-spending presidential candidates like Rick Perry and Ron Paul, trying to gobble up the very largesse they publicly disown, in the time-honored, budget-busting tradition of bringing home the bacon for local constituents.

HA! “Cain’s case starting to crack” http://2012.talkingpointsmemo.com/2011/10/attorney-cains-ignorance-on-settlement-completely-not-credible-1.php?ref=fpa Lying POS.
It’s crazy how Sen. McCain wouldn’t even look at PBO in the first debate.
He still wont. 🙂

Tonight’s Federal Election Commission fundraising deadline is the most critical reporting deadline of the year.
This is the last time the two parties will publicly release their fundraising totals before we hit the one-year-out to 2012 mark.
The media and political pundits will analyze our fundraising totals closely. They’ll be looking to see whether or not Democrats have the grassroots strength to defeat Tea Party Republicans and win back the House next year.
We’re just $41,219 short of reaching our $1 million grassroots goal before tonight’s FEC deadline.
Can I count on your support to help put us over the top? Contribute just $3 before Midnight Tonight’s FEC deadline and your contribution will be matched by a group of House Democrats.
The American people have had enough of Tea Party Republicans and their extreme agenda.
Republican’s failure to focus on jobs, plans to end Medicare and sacrifice vital investments in education so they can cut taxes for billionaires, Big Oil and corporations that ship jobs overseas isn’t selling with middle class America.
Buyer’s remorse has set in. It’s time for Tea Party Republicans to go.
This is our last chance. The critical FEC deadline hits at Midnight Tonight. Can I count on your support?
Contribute $3 or more before Midnight and your gift will be matched by a group of House Democrats >>
Thank you for your support,
Nancy Pelosi
I really hate this Cain/sexual harassment story. It just wreaks of insider gameplaying. Cain is unfit to be president, no doubt, but I feel like the media is trying too hard to take him down with this. This is all just shady, and the media is going to overplay this story and end up making Cain look sympathetic.
Cain is unfit to be President and so is the rest of the GOP clowns.
At this point I’m not sure if you can overplay it. The facts need to come out. What’s going to sink Herman’s ship is his inability to just deal with it. Tell us straight up what he knows and stop the lying. Yes I was accused of this. this and that by 2 women or 3 women. The restaurant association wanted to settlle and it was a case of my word against theirs. That’s the least he could do. All this bs I don’t know, and the “facts” changing just makes it clear he lacks the character to be President.
the nig…head story did not get nearly enough play by the media and Perry never convincingly dealt with it. I only remember PBO meeting a challenge like this head on. When the abreviated words of his longtime minister were overplayed day and night., he did not hide or deny, he denounced the words used.by Rev Wright and gave a great speech relating to race in America and a glimpse of it with his own family.
He did not denouce Rev Wright, and in fact brought to light again what this man had been to him and the community he served. As an aside I think it was Rev Wright’s own arrogance at the press conference he did that sort of left him out in the cold of public opinion.
Anyway I think there needs to be some scrutiny (?) of this, and it will tell us alot about the …uhm character of HC.
This cretin REEKS of hypocracy.

Hiya people, new thread here:
http://theobamadiary.com/2011/10/31/a-ghoulishly-good-evening/
Watching the debates between McCain and Obama, do anyone really think Perry, Cain or Romney can out debate President Obama? Heck No!
I still remember watching those debates and my heart was pounding like crazy when Obama was speaking. I so badly wanted him to perform well that I could not afford him a simple slip of his tongue on anything! I remember, I was in Amsterdam at the time and getting up at 3:00 AM to watch him debate ‘that grumpy one!!!’ Hehe
Thank you, thank you so much for loading these debates. When I watched these debates live, I was too stressed to enjoy them. I re-watched all 3. What a gift!
Poor McCain! There was no way he could complete against that sharp young man.
The other observation is that PBO has remained constant in his stance and philosophy. What he said he was going to do is what he is doing. God bless and protect my President.
