Obviously the Prez is working on keeping North Carolina and Virginia Blue in 2012. 😎

I’ll let someone else watch and report. I don’t think I can stomach listening to them talk. I’ll read your report and be thankful there is someone who can watch and report.

Heard on the radio a truck or van with some Presidential seal items was taken from place, but was found. No leak of exactly what was taken.

    • October 18, 2011 at 5:37 pm

I heard that early this morning. His teleprompter, 2 eagles and other equipment were taken but they found it at a hotel. I hope they find out who pulled this prank

It’s possible that this “story” is not even true but was concocted by some GOP media hack. I find it hard to believe that all these materials would be stolen and they would know to look in a hotel to find them? Something about this story makes no sense to me.

I know. Does sound ridiculous, and if true at all, what the hell is up with security? And with the tip on the gas can yesterday? It all seems like scare tactics, along with the Rass poll supposedly having Cain above PBO 43-41. Now that made me laugh. It’s full onslaught once again, which is also why I can’t enjoy Harry B’s anything right now. I know he’s old now but he’s been through it all for civil rights, so he should understand, critically, what is at hand in this country. I’m done with anyone who I feel has been uncaringly critical of PBO. It’s their right, but with all the daggers coming at him relentlessly, I have no patience. Screw ’em.

      • October 18, 2011 at 6:17 pm

This may be a prank, but the thing many on the right don’t like is that PBO could deliver the speech without any teleprompter at all. They’re still in denial about the way PBO took on the GOP alone when HCR was being debated. IMO, their repeated harping on his use of the teleprompter is to cover for the fact that NONE of their politicians are able to take on a group of dems in any debate on any subject without using a teleprompter.

    • October 18, 2011 at 5:38 pm

I think some sound equipment and his telepromters. The investigation is mum about everything else. I’m really surprised the thieves were able to steal a whole truck. Strange. Somebody is in deep hot water.

The speaker introducing the Prez is doing a great job: she’s a veteran, National Guard member, and biology teacher at that high school. She’s making a great case for the American Jobs Act. Here he comes!

    Hello everyone,

I have a question. I think my twitter account was hacked. So what do I do? Can I still use the same account? I guess I should have asked that question before resuming tweeting.

But can someone tell me if I will need to change the account in order to interact with others here who may want to retweet my tweets or reply to me?

    My account is @lawalazu.

    I will wait to hear.

Hi africa. I hope you’re doing well.

If you think you’ve been hacked, change your password.

      • October 18, 2011 at 6:32 pm

Thanks, Collegekay. Sorry for the silly question, but how do I do that? And should I change my user name, too?

        • October 18, 2011 at 9:34 pm

Hi Africa, good to see you. Please know that you have been in our thoughts and prayers.

Yes, I responded to a weird message from your account on the day your mom passed so I had to change my password. I also lost you as a follower so when I tried to send you a welcome back Direct Message, I couldn’t.

To change my password I clicked on my name on the upper right side of the twitter screen and then clicked ‘help’ which opened up the choices, one of which led to an explanation re hacking, etc. etc. I just followed the instructions.

It’s good to see you here africa, I hope you’re feeling better.

    • October 18, 2011 at 9:55 pm

Change your password by logging into twitter, click on your user name (in Firefox it’s in the upper right), from the dropdown menu choose Settings. Click on the password tab and change your password there. Then click the applications tab and revoke access to any applications such as mobile phones that you didn’t give permission. That should fix the hack.
      Glad to see you’re back, sweetie. {{{{{HUG}}}}}}

President Obama says that pop star Justin Bieber is a β€œvery nice young man,” but cautioned teenagers at a Virginia high school that he thinks the singer has a girlfriend.

While touring Bluestone High School in Skipwith on Tuesday afternoon, a girl asked Obama if he knows Bieber, the Canadian singer known for his very nice brown hair.

“I do,” Obama responded, adding that Bieber is a “very nice young man,” according to a pool report. Bieber visited the White House in April 2010 to perform at the annual Easter Egg Roll.

But, the president added, “I think he’s got a girlfriend.” The 17-year-old has been dating Disney Channel star Selena Gomez for months.

Earlier this year, the White House helped set up a meeting between Bieber and 14-year-old Payton Wall, who lost her father on Sept. 11, 2001. Obama met Wall when he traveled to Ground Zero in May to mark the killing of Osama bin Laden.

He was wonderful Hes really found his voice. I guess McConnell had a hissy fit. Calling our man out over and over. Obama may have hit a nerve

  26. October 18, 2011 at 6:49 pm

I am sure you mean well Sukey, but I just don’t understand that sort of comment: “found his voice”. this man, this President has been giving voice to all things for 4 years now, as President – for 3 years… and your comment is the second time today that I’ve read something along those lines.. apparently Tom Hartman announced that its “POTUS finally listening/following Progressives” . Anyone can go back through the nearly 3 years of speeches, press conferences, media interviews, and townhalls that President Obama has given could easily see that he has had his ‘voice’ speaking out & speaking up for the entire time he’s been in office… that folks either choose to turn a deaf ear and hear only what they want to hear, or to be fair- only get the media’s version of a speech, townhall, etc.

Anyway, I don’t think it’s merely my opinion that its a terrible disservice to this President to behave as if he’s been silent for three years. I’ve never in my lifetime heard so much from any leader in government, let alone a President.

Sixty-three percent of the American people and the Occupy Wall Street demonstrations reinforce the President’s message. Even though the GOP has water carriers throughout the mainstream media — Jake Tapper, Ed Henry, Fox, CNN — in the marketplace of competing messages, I would rather that my message was on the side of 63% of the country and a global movement that wants to hold the top 2% of the wealthy accountable, rather than be the face of the top two percent’s defenders and protectors at the expense of moving the country forward.

  28. October 18, 2011 at 6:53 pm

I have watched most of his speeches this week and I thought he was just fabulous today. Hes more direct and his points sharper.
Save your complaints for somone who doesnt love him as much as I do!

    • October 18, 2011 at 7:05 pm

The President has always been sharp…whether it was at the 2004 democratic convention…the 2008 speech on race delivered in Philadelphia…his inaugural speech….and don’t forget his taking on the Rep regarding the health care bill….there have been numerous speeches that the president has delivered….

      I love this President πŸ™‚

    • October 18, 2011 at 7:34 pm

gee didn’t mean it as a complaint, but as a fact actually.. I accept that is your opinion on “finding his voice”.

What are you talking about Sukey? Are you listening through GOP ears or something? His voice has always been found and clear. You must have some EMOPROG in ya. πŸ˜•
