I will wait for some to comment before I press play. I don’t trust Jake the weasel Tapper.

As I anticipated, Tapper jumps on to the OWS movement and frames it as anger that is aimed at “the president ,etc., etc” The President gives an excellent response that indirectly calls out the Repubs.

I will watch this evening to see if Tapper mentions the jobs bills or the Republicans at all.

It seemed a fair enough question but we’ll see about the rest of it.

This preview isn’t bad. I don’t trust Tapper either, but I trust the President. He is giving a great answer, time to answer. Tapper didn’t interrupt.

The media is so trying to make this about “they are against you” lol…..they are occupying wallstreet…seems pretty clear to me who they are against.

I decided to listen to Tweety for a few minutes after Rev. Al went off because they were discussing the new flavor of the day Herman Cain. Wow, Steve Schmidt, Dana Milbank and Tweety called him a “lounge act” and totally criticized him.

Cain apparently is beginning to threaten their guy Romney or Perry whichever the preferred GOP candidate is. Cain was supposed to be just a placeholder. He was supposed to go no further than #2 and then the media would reign him in real fast. But now it appears that some Repubs (see that’s what happens when you keep people stupid and uninformed) are falling for Cain’s gimmicky 999 plan, “Imagine” lounge act in 1991, and book sales pitch/campaign. The people are liking him and the establishment GOP & media is getting nervous. It wasn’t supposed to be that way. Cain was supposed to be a placeholder until the Media succeeded in convincing not just the Repubs, but also the PUMAS, Naderites, PL and Reagan Democrats that Romney is their guy.

Well I did watch the preview. There is only one question posed here. It is about the President’s reaction to what is going on with the OWS. It seemed at first Jake tried to insinuate that much of the anger from the OWS was aimed at the President. The President handled the question beautifully and reminded Jake that the message was not much unlike the message from the Tea Party. He sympathized with their concerns and indicated that they were legitimate. And then he went on to talk about how our country needs to get back to its basic principles of individual responsibility, earn what they can and pay their fair share. The President said that once we get back to that, we will see less and less of people feeling angry. Jake did not interrupt and seemed to be giving the President the respect of actually listening to his response. It had the earmarks of a decent interview. But we don’t know what comes next do we?

Question seemed fair enough. For those who wanted others to watch first, Tapper asked President Obama that although he has expressed sympathy for the OWS movement and whatever they may be fighting for, that some of the anger the protesters are expressing are channeled towards him (PBO) and Washington and in what way can he corral their anger and make Washington respond effectively?

Crossing my fingers that the rest of the interview goes well. But that’s like wishing my physics professor forgets to hand out home-work just once. Not gonna happen.

I didn’t read the original Obamabot piece, but I could piece together its tone from this rebuttal. This piece I like. Thanks for sharing it, Bjw2

Thank you so much bjw2 for sharing this fantastic piece. It really said everything I feel and know. For those who tweet this must be tweeted and shared with as many people as possible.

Thanks for that link, bjw2. I just linked it with a snip on democrats for progress. When they liken Obama supporters to palin’s groupies you know how damn stupid they are. “ragtag”..brawaawa

I think PragmaticOBotsUnite would like that link, too. And, when I’m on there next I will drop it in.

If anybody missed the GOPolitico brouhaha today over their hit piece on the “Obamabot” twitter brigade, somebody did a a pretty good chirpstory on it that will give you a quick overview in just a couple of minutes. It’s also pretty hilarious:

    • October 18, 2011 at 8:00 pm

Man, I read those tweets. Seems like ole Ben @ Politico stepped in a hornets nest today.

      Thanks Meta!

meta – Thanks. I’d been sidestepping around the brouhaha all day, and finally looked at the hit piece. Methinks the proud Obamabot message is really starting to torque those jealous opportunists. And that makes me laugh and laugh and laugh! #PressOn

Just saw on twitter that Mrs. O is going to join PBO tomorrow. WOOOOOOTT!!!!

  13. October 18, 2011 at 11:45 pm

Tapper tried to make it seem that the anger is at the President–not so, and our guy gave a wonderful answer. The AARP mag, Oct. issue, has a good article about Mrs. Obama and Dr. Biden. Also, Vanity Fair has an article about the Tea Party “Debt and Dumb”. I love finding writing that supports good people and calls out the stupid ones.

  14. October 18, 2011 at 11:51 pm

Surprise surprise, Jake Tapper was civil today in his interview with PBO. Surely pigs just flew.

  15. October 19, 2011 at 12:16 am

President Obama has his focus on us. That is something out of that dipstick Tapper prior knowledge. The President does not see a mob but Americans who are saying ENOUGH.
