    Media Matters documents the atrocities:

Republicans spent their Sunday morning TV appearances blaming Democrats for the economy and trying to convince Wall Street protesters to join them in their scapegoating. Contrary to what Herman Cain and Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA) claimed, the facts show that private firms, not government entities, inflated the subprime mortgage bubble, and Wall Street, not Democrats, turned those loans into an elaborate casino game that left the entire country on the hook for their bad bets. Similarly, Cantor and Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) were wrong to suggest that Democratic policies on taxes and regulations are hurting the economy, and that Republican proposals will do more to create jobs than President Obama’s proposed American Jobs Act. In addition, Cain claimed that his “9-9-9″ tax plan won’t hurt the poor and implied that Obama has cut defense spending, Gov. Bobby Jindal (R-LA) blamed the credit downgrade on the president, and Sen. McCain said that Obama never spoke up on behalf of Iranian protesters in 2009. In each case, the facts disagree.

Who’s responsibility is it to call out these lies, misstatements? Tim Russert (Meet the Press) always did his homework and called out this type of misinformation on the spot, usually supplying the person with their own words or videos to show what they were saying was wrong. Today we do not have that. The lies/misstatement are repeated and the uninformed public begins to think it’s the truth. Dems have never been very good at stopping these misstatements right in their tracts, they go on and on till we get “death panels for grandma”.
We need responsible journalists once again.

We (THE PEOPLE), no longer own the airwaves. The Corporations=people do. They won’t allow the truth on the airwaves, because it’s bad for their bottom line.

Thanks for the fun photos, chips. President Obama is using all his strength 🙂 to lift that sweet baby boy in his new baby boy jeans. Baby is looking confused about why everyone wants to take his picture. Cute.

It really is. He connects so well with people from all walks of life. He understands their struggles and he shares their joy. The pictures of his with the toddler is so cute.

Love to see these stops too. He always gets a welcome reception, like here at Marions BBQ, where they have a 2 pork chop special today. Blond girl grabbed a hug. I’m jealous, only got to touch the back of his elbow once, real lightly, he never knew it happened, but it was great.

I wish I could get some of the food as well as the PBO-love in that restaurant.

You know, when you think of it, as much as the media hates on our President hourly, he gets a lot of real, GENUINE (yeah, yeah, repetition) hugs when he’s on the road! People (okay, females and children) seem to put themselves into the hugs they give him. My personal polls shows that this president gets (and gives) more genuine love hugs when meeting people than any other politician currently on the field.

Psst! What about me, Mr. President? I could use one of those hugs too. 😆 😆

Everyone smiles when our President is around. You just can’t fake this.

Anyone who says he doesn’t have an easy rapport with people should be forced to sit in a chair and view photo after photo of his interaction with babies, children and real people. Nobody else connects like our president. He likes people and is comfortable with them which is why he appears totally natural. Compare and contrast with any other candidate. Romney seems like someone who practices how to act with people because he’s actually repelled by them. Perry preens and tries to pull off the macho man facade, but he seems like a scared ignoramus underneath. The others? Please. If I saw Bachman, Santorum, Cain or Gingrich coming my way, I would run away in terror. Little Ricky S always gave me the creeps when he was Pennsylvania’s US Senator. And, frankly, I always felt Bill Clinton was too smooth for comfort. George senior and junior–ugh. We are really blessed with PBO. I pray that people open their eyes and really see what a treasure we have in this man.

You just made me picture Romney practicing in front of the mirror, trying to look friendly and authentic when he’s forced to interact with people. I suspect his real mindset is ewwwww!—-cooties!)

        LOL 😀

Have you ever seen anyone more stiff around people than Romney?? I can see him practicing in front of a mirror too!

When watching the GOP debates it gives me the creeps to see Romney standing there with a very strange smile while the candidate next to him is saying negative things about him. It isn’t natural.

When the journos and pundits say PBO doesn’t like people, what they mean is that he is not kissing the hind parts of the people in the Beltway: politicians, lobbyists or tv pundits. Since he isn’t kissing their butts, or going to Georgetown parties, logically, the President must hate people!

Those articles in WashPo or Chris Matthews or whoever never have regular people who come in contact with FLOTUS or POTUS say that garbage–just pundits and politicians.

Exactly! This all about them (pundits and so called journalists); It’s not about regular people who love to be around the President.

Afternoon, TOD’ville! I’m signing on to add my wishes to everyone else’s for Joan K-S to have successful surgery this afternoon and a speedy recovery! I know she is in our combined thoughts and, if these things are at all possible, she will sense our support.

Photo #2 – Mom, who is this dude making eyes at me? Photos 6 & 7 – I’m not too sure I want to hang out with him. This kid is definitely a hard-sell (a very cautious voter?).;) The first one I’ve seen in the President’s vicinity.

There is a softness that seems to come over Pres. Obama’s face whenever he is around children. He just looks so happy to with the positive innocent energy of children. I think that is why they gravitate toward him so much. They know that he is a protector.

He loves getting out and about beyond the echo chamber of life in D. C. He is always so energized when he interacts with everyday people. Most of us know that he is doing his best and then some to make a way for us all out of the no way that the repubs. keep putting forward. As much as i have seen it, it still amazes me to see how people from all walks of life, from all corners of this country and the world react to him. There is just something about Barack Hussein Obama that our spirits recognize even we cannot clearly give voice to it. The haters feel it too and hate that they do.

He just has the beautiful spirit about him that gives joy to millions of people. You can’t fake what this President has. He was born with it. I love how the Almighty Sweet Spirit gives him this time out of D.C. to receive these hugs, smiles, handshakes, and goodness of deeds. After all of the hate and ugly attitudes around him in Washington with the Congress, he receives this grace to be in the presence of people all around the country with this type of sweetness of spirits. It is so good to see it for ourselves.

So thanks again Chipsticks for this wonderful and glorious site where we can come to each day and quiet our hearts and fill our minds with good things about our President, Barack Obama. We take joy away from our beautiful haven that Chips has provided for each of us daily. I give thanks for your sweet spirit, Chips. You are such a loving, and very smart spirit on this earth. Thank you so much, Chips. I love you.HZ
