What a FITTING photo. A stark contrast in approach to governing and connecting with the American people in these photos. No I don’t want Mittens as our Prez. 🙄 That said OFA ROCKS!! 😀 If any TOD’ers has family or friends in Ohio please contact them as we continue to collect signatures on petitions to put the suppressive voters right laws our state Dictator has signed into law on the Ballot for next November. We have filed an injunction to keep the SOS from inacting the law for this November, but we have the anti-collective bargaining law on this ballot and we are campaigning to get out the VOTE to overturn this oppression. Keep us in your prayers folks. KEEP HOPE ALIVE! YES WE CAN!! Obama/Biden 2012!!

A spectacular contrast Meta! Thanks so much for the link, methinks that photo may pop up once or twice in the campaign 😉 Well, if he makes it that far!

OK, now I’m getting excited for the elegant entry into the State Dinner tonight. Can’t wait to see FLOTUS and POTUS all styled out once again. WHEW!!!!

Here we have Mitt tied with our prez in all the national head to head polls, but he can’t even get a solid majority of the GOP faithful to vote for him. Mr. Cain is the latest in the lead. Now we see this photo-op by the Corporate lacky. 😆 There is so much material for the Dems to work with for the general election. I hope we/they don’t SCREW this up. What an opportunity to finally put a nail in that Teathug COFFIN!! 😎

That picture of Mittens brings to mind something I just read in Michio Kaku’s very good book, “Physics of the Future”. It’s a long quote, but instructive.

I once spent some time at the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton, and had lunch with Freeman Dyson. He began to reminisce about his long career in science and then mentioned a disturbing fact. [H]e found that the brightest minds in England were turning their backs on the hard sciences … in favor of lucrative careers in finance and banking…. He lamented that it was a sign of the decline of the British Empire. England could not maintain its status as a world power if it had a crumbling scientific base.

…He remarked that he was seeing this for the second time in his life. The brightest minds at Princeton were no longer tackling … physics and mathematics but were being drawn into careers like investment banking. Again, he thought, this might be a sign of decay, when the leaders of a society can no longer support the inventions and technology that made their society great.

This is our challenge for the future.

Our hope that the people swarming the OFA offices in Chicago—and us here and other blogs—ultimately win the battle against Mitt and his friends with their dollar bills protruding from their suits.

Very interesting insight Liberal Liberian. Mittmo is going to be toast when our guy gets into the race. The grassroots on the ground organization is freaking phenomenal.

AUDIO: Ignoring World Wars And 9/11, Perry Says ‘The World Has Never Been As Dangerous As It Is Today’ Because Of President Obama

Appearing on Bill Bennett’s radio show yesterday, Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) lambasted President Obama’s foreign policy as “incredibly naive,” saying, “the world has never been as dangerous as it is today, because of this administration”:

PERRY: So, you’ve got a president of the United States that I think is either incredibly naive about foreign policy or I don’t know else to take out of it. They’re aimless, they’re wavering, and I know this — the world has never been as dangerous as it is today, because of this administration’s lack of focus on dealing with these rogue nations.

It’s unclear how Perry sees today as more dangerous than any other point in the nation’s history, which has experienced foreign invasion, two world wars, the threat of nuclear annihilation during the Cold War, and the 9/11 terror attacks. Moreover, the number of armed conflicts globally is low and falling. It’s also unclear how Perry thinks — the day after the Obama administration foiled a terror plot from Iran — that the president has been too soft on rogue nations. It’s hard to see how Perry isn’t the “incredibly naive” one here.

This makes me happy. Repubs are certain he is going to lose and some supportive Dems think so too but then I see this. He raised double from the 1st campaign and his approval ratings are “sinking.” I feel confident he will do well, he’s a long-game player and Nov 2012 is a year away.

Trust me when I tell you that Repubs are not certain he’s going to lose. In fact…I think they see the writing on the wall – which is why they are resorting to every trick in the book…They are flailing right now.

Anita Perry is also hearing voices as well.God spoke to her and told her Ricky had to run and after wiping the non-existing tears she mocked Cain’s 999 crap and took a shot at our President 🙄

I know I say this all the time, but it still cracks me up: Rev. Al had a piece today on Rush Limbaugh calling Mittens NOT a conservative. Rev. Al does his piece, and then ends it, with just a hint of mocking in his tone:

Well, WILLARD, you have some explaining to do…to the Tea Party.

I LOVE it when Rev. Al calls him Willard.

It cracks me up every time he says Willard. He seems to be get such pleasure out of it. So the head of the Republican Party has spoken. Willard just isn’t conservative enough.

A top commander of the Haqqani militant network has been killed in a US drone strike in the Pakistani tribal area of North Waziristan, a US official says.

Janbaz Zadran “played a central role in helping the Haqqani network attack US and coalition targets” in Afghanistan, the official told the BBC..

Janbaz Zadran, who the US says was also known as Jamil, was a key lieutenant to Badruddin Haqqani, one of the group’s commanders and the son of its founder, the Associated Press says.

Badruddin Haqqani is on a US state department blacklist.

Zadran had access to Haqqani’s leadership in Miram Shah. He served as a key lieutenant to Haqqani network commander Badruddin Haqqani. In May, the US designated Badruddin Haqqani a terrorist. He’s the son of the group’s founder, Jalaluddin Haqqani, according to the State Department.

“His death in Miram Shah makes him the most senior Haqqani leader in Pakistan to be taken off the battlefield,” the official said.
